We reach Sari by afternoon and after having lunch there, we start our trek to Deoriatal.

Trek to Deoriatal is a short trek of about 2.5 km. The trail is mild steep and it usually takes 2 hours to reach the lake. After a trek of about 1 km, turn around and enjoy the bird’s eye view of Sari village. The trail passes through the scenic forest of Rhododendron and Oak. After reaching the lake, relax and explore the surroundings. The lake is girded by forest and meadows. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

DAY 3

Trek from Deoriatal to Chopta

Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise at Deoriatal. The Chaukhamba massif looks magnificent during sunrise. After breakfast, we start our trek to Chopta. The trek from Deoriatal to Chopta is 14 km long. The trail passes through dense forest of Oak and Rhododendron. The complete trail is a mixed of uphill, downhill and flat land. It takes around 7-8 hours to reach Chopta. Dinner and overnight stay in camps.

DAY 4

ACTIVITIES AND ITINERARY FOR DAY 4

Trek from Chopta to Chandrashila via Tunganath and back

Wake up and get ready for the most important day of your trek. We start our trek to Chandrashila at around 8 AM. The trek from Chopta to Chandrashila is 5 km in distance. Amidst the way, explore the world's highest lord shiva temple, which is Tungnath situated at 3680 meters above the sea level. The trail till Tungnath is well paved and mild uphill. Further from Tungnath, it gets little steeper. It takes around 3 hours to reach Tunganth temple from Chopta and another 1 hour to reach Chandrashila summit from Tunganth temple.

The summit of Chandrashila is standing at an altitude of 4000 meters above the sea level. It offers perfect panoramic views of all the remarkable peaks of Uttarakhand such as Kedarnath, Gangotri, Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Trishul, etc. After spending around 1 hour above, we start our downhill trek towards Chopta. It takes around 3 hours to get down. Dinner and overnight stay in guest house/tents.

DAY 5

ACTIVITIES AND ITINERARY FOR DAY 5

Drive from Chopta to Rishikesh

Wake up and freshen up. We leave Chopta and start our drive towards Rishikesh. We retrace the same route and reach Rishikesh by evening.

Reach Delhi by late night. Trip Ends
