I just finished another of my double spring G1s, Lost (Fae), so...
gonna show off both of them! <3
Light [he/him] is my lore's god of all things forgotten. his realm is where the lost get their second chance.
Lost [she/he] is an explorer. the forest stole her name long ago, so she mistakenly took the name of one of the forest entities. now he can share his thoughts with that entity, and vice versa.

I don’t want to talk about it though, since I don’t get anything out of it and nothing in the world can console me.

Ezrinisms Vol. 2, Pt. 1 of 2 - Great Expectations
After all the Christmas talk yesterday, I feel like listening to sacred sounds today.
So why not immerse yourself a little in Destroyer and Music from The Elder and enjoy Great Expectations and Under the Rose, which are more than ideal if you intend to at least poke around a little bit in their very specific sonic symbolisms anyway.
It's best to start with Great Expectations, and its children's choir is what this is basically about. The melody is soaring and characterized by purity, which may be due in part to the fact that in a children's choir each voice is generally played several times, and therefore this melody can literally shine.
But what is it that creates this impression of purity in one? Possibly the simple fact that they are children, and therefore pure souls, who are able to carry this whatever melody was given to them to another level, almost into a sphere of symbolized faith. One could perhaps interpret it as a confidence or a previously unbroken trust that follows a light that shines down on them in the same way that the children's voices strive up to it, and which kindly takes them into its care and shows the way, just to connect with one another and to become one surrounded by the common light.
Could this be called innocence as a direct key to enlightenment? Well, what can I say, these are the associations that it awakens in me.
But lest our sense of humor be completely disregarded, I simply imagine Gene in the midst of it all, standing on stage, or in a church for that matter, spreading his arms over all those kids and crowing his good news to the world like a rooster in the wee hours of the morning. But even apart from these words of a more spontaneous nature, the chorus of Great Expectations is for me probably the biggest and best the band has ever created and recorded, and the song itself has been one of my absolute favorite Kiss songs since my early childhood, and certainly the decisive reason why Destroyer has always been a special album for me.
To be continued...
