Ley´s Release Corner Sep´22 - Girls Edition (1/2)
DISCLAIMER: This is all my personal opinion and most of the impressions are after first listening. So please keep in mind that my opinion can change and that I respect other opinions too. My rating is just based on how I like the song and has nothing to do with hate or anything else against an Artist. When I don't like a song it doesn't mean I don't appreciate the work and effort that are put into it.
Masterlist
Feel free to let me know what you think of the releases and now let's dive into Kpop:
Title: ONE AND A HALF
Album: ONE AND A HALF (Single)
Artist: Chuu (LOONA)
Release: 2022.09.04
She's so cute I'm gonna die. I like her voice but the song itself doesn't flash me that much.
Rating: 7/10 for ONE AND A HALF (Instrumental: 7/10; Vocals: 7,5/10; MV: 6,5/10; Overall Vibes: 7/10)
Title: Broken Clock
Album: Broken Clock (Single)
Artist: BUSTERS
Release: 2022.09.06
This single is pretty solid but sound a little bit bad/poor mixed. I like the story of the song and the MV though
Rating: /10 for Broken Clock (Instrumental: 6,5/10; Vocals: 6,5/10; Lyrics: 7/10; Choreography: 6,5/10; MV: 7/10; Overall Vibes: 6,5/10)
Title: REQUIEM
Album: Who Am I (EP)
Artist: CRAXY
Release: 2022.09.08
Craxy is really so good I love them so much. Like their vocals are great and I love their performance. The MV also is very well done and I'm in love with the outfits.
The Album has been released last month but since this is the secnd title we look at it now.
Review from the album here
Rating: 8/10 for REQUIEM (Instrumental: 7,5/10; Vocals: 8/10; Rap: 7/10; Lyrics: 6,5/10; Choreography: 7,5/10; MV: 8/10; Overall Vibes: 8/10)
Title: Survive
Album: SURVIVE (Album)
Artist: Rocking doll
Release: 2022.09.09
Uhhh I kinda like this. I like the dark vibe of the song. The MV looks here and there a little bit cheap but they did the best out of it. The only thing bothering me is that it's getting repetitive to the end.
"Grey" is the first title and it´s been released last month (Review here)
"Pom Pom" remnds me of another song but I can´t tell which one. but it´s a solid track. "I Just Wanna Be With You" feels like it´s bad mixed or something like that. It could be good but I´m not feeling it. Lastly "Drop Down" is and okayish track but doesn´t impress me as well.
Rating: 7/10 for Survive (Instrumental: 7/10; Vocals: 7/10; Rap: 6,5/10; Choreography: 7/10; MV: 7/10; Overall Vibes: 7/10)
Rating: 6/10 for SURVIVE because the mixing kinda felt low budget but it had potential
Title: Sunflower (P.E.L)
Album: Sunflower (Single)
Artist: CHOI YOOJUNG (Weki Meki)
Release: 2022.09.14
I love how bright the MV is and the song is also very very good and is really enjoyable.
"Tip Tip Toes" is a cool track and "OWL" is pretty solid.
Rating: 7,5/10 for Sunflower (Instrumental: 7,5/10; Vocals: 7/10; Lyrics: 7/10; Choreography: 7/10; MV: 7,5/10; Overall Vibes: 7,5/10)
Rating: 7/10 for the Single because the songs are good but not outstanding
Title: Nirvana Girl (ft. YEEUN)
Album: Nirvana Girl (Single)
Artist: SORN (CLC), (YEEUN (CLC))
Release: 2022.09.14
Okay I like how the MV deliver the story of the song. And it's kinda catchy though but otherwise it's a solid song
Rating: 7/10 for Nirvana Girl (Instrumental: 6,5/10; Vocals: 7/10; Rap: 6,5/10; Lyrics: 7,5/10; Choreography: 6,5/10; MV: 7/10; Overall Vibes: 7/10)
Title: Shut Down
Album: BORN PINK (Album)
Artist: BLACKPINK
Release: 2022.09.16
What should I say about it? I'm totally hooked. I mean it's Blackpink and it's such a catchy song that just got stuck in my head.
"Pink Venom" was released last month (Review here). "Typa Girl" is probably my favorite track on this album while "Yeah Yeah Yeah" is my least favorite one although it´s still solid but not eally outstanding. "Hard to Love" is so relateable and I like the rocking vibe of it so much. "The Happiest Girl" is very emotionaly and also so relateable. The message of "Tally" is so nice I love it and lastly "Ready For Love" has a pre-released MV and is like a standard Blackpink song if you know what I mean.
Rating: 8,5/10 for Shut Down (Instrumental: 8/10; Vocals: 8/10; Rap: 8/10; Lyrics: 7/10; Choreography: 8/10; MV: 8,5/10; Overall Vibes: 8,5/10)
Rating: 8,5/10 for BORN PINK because I´m a sucker for their songs I can´t help it.
Title: Rose
Album: AWESOME (Single)
Artist: mimiirose
Release: 2022.09.16
I don't know why they first only released the half MV but later they released the full version. For a debut it's pretty nice though.
"Lululu" is a really nice track I stan that and "Kill Me More" gives me lowkey Blackpink vibes and I like it.
Rating: 7,5/10 for Rose (Instrumental: 7,5/10; Vocals: 7/10; Rap: 7/10; Choreography: 7/10; MV: 7/10; Overall Vibes: 7,5/10)
Rating: 7,5/10 for AWESOME because it's a nice single
Title: DICE
Album: ENTWURF (Single)
Artist: NMIXX
Release: 2022.09.19
This is really a nice track. The change of the song is also well done and kinda addictive not gonna lie. O.O grew so much on me and I think this will do that as well
"COOL (Your rainbow)" shows their super nice vocals and I love that.
Rating: 8/10 for DICE (Instrumental: 8/10; Vocals: 8/10; Rap: 7/10; Lyrics: 7,5/10; Choreography: 7,5/10; MV: 7,5/10; Overall Vibes: 8/10)
Rating: 7,5/10 for ENTWURF because I'm in love with their vocals
Title: GRATATA
Album: GIRL´s ROUND Pt. 1 (EP)
Artist: Lapillus
Release: 2022.09.22
This feels like something Blackpink could have pulled up but I'm not complaining. They're really good and have so much potential.
"Burn With Love" is such a good track and "Queendom" is really good I´m totally in love with it. "HIT YA!" has been released bevore (Review here)
Rating: 8/10 for GRATATA (Instrumental: 7,5/10; Vocals: 7,5/10; Rap: 7,5/10; Choreography: 7/10; MV: 7/10; Overall Vibes: 8/10)
Rating: 8/10 for GIRL´s ROUND Pt. 1 because I'm impressed and will keep an eye on them
