For those keeping score here are all the TV shows based on the work of Neil Gaiman from the last ten years. Lucifer - Loosely based on the version of Lucifer who quits ruling Hell and opens a piano bar, from The Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman. Originally aired on Fox and then moved to Netflix for seasons 4 through 6. Neil Gaiman also got to play God in a bonus episode for season 3. The full series can be watched on Netflix. And is available on DVD. The plot deals with Lucifer, the ruler of Hell, up and quitting and moving to Earth where he opens a night club called Lux and takes up playing piano. In the TV series he befriends (and eventually falls in love with) a woman homicide detective named Chloe Decker.

_______________________ American Gods - Based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. Aired on Starz. The plot deals with a man called Shadow Moon who gets dragged into the strange world of Old and New Gods vying for power.

________________ Anansi Boys - Originally written by Neil Gaiman as a spin-off of American Gods, the TV series version was filmed for Amazon Prime and is currently in post-production (Not yet released.) The plot deals with the sons of Anansi, the African trickster Spider-God.

__________________ Good Omens - Showrun by Neil Gaiman and based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Also Neil Gaiman has a small cameo in the first season. Available now on Amazon Prime. Seasons 1 and 2 are complete. Season 3 has not yet started filming and will very likely be the final season. Season 1 is currently available on DVD. The plot deals with two "differently competent" entities, an Angel and a Demon, who have come to love life on Earth and each other. And now must work together to prevent the apocalypse.

______________________________ The Sandman - First episode was co-written by Neil Gaiman, based on the stories and original characters created by Neil Gaiman with a few borrowed DC comics characters. Currently on Netflix. Season 2 is in production now. Neil Gaiman also voiced a ghostly bird in the bonus episode segment Dream of a Thousand Cats. Season 1 will be available on DVD and Blu Ray at the end of this month. The plot deals with Morpheus, the King of Dreams, who accidentally gets summoned and captured by occultists who had been trying to capture The Grim Reaper. After over a hundred and six years in captivity Morpheus finally escapes and has to track down his tools which had been taken from him when he was captured. He also comes to realize he had made many terrible mistakes in the past and struggles to set those wrongs right.

_________________________________________ The Dead Boy Detectives - First official spin-off of The Sandman. The Dead Boy Detectives were originally planned as an HBO Max series (now just Max) but moved to Netflix after the success of the first season of The Sandman. Based on characters who first appeared in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman: Season of Mists, Neil Gaiman is involved in the production. The plot is a pair of ghost teenagers decide to become detectives and are really bad at it. These two characters made a previous appearance in Doom Patrol on Max (Formerly HBO Max) but had been played by different actors.

Lucifer Morningstar x Archangel Reader

It wasn’t uncommon knowledge that Lucifer hated Marcus Pierce with a passion. A burning, hell-fire rivalling hatred. So, when he broke Chloe’s heart, Lucifer being Lucifer decided to do something about it.

But, what was uncommon knowledge was that Lucifer was married. To you, Y/n Morningstar, former Archangel before you followed him down to hell. But, you had been gone for years now.

5 years ago:

The mission was going well. Too well. You, Nat and Bucky hadn’t been fired at once. Then, all hell, metaphorically, let loose.

Gunfire came at you all from every angle, which is why you didn’t see the huge Hydra agent behind you as he knocked you straight out.

The Avengers had spent months trying to find you. Lucifer had spent two years trying to find you. He almost broke the ‘no angel shall kill a human’ rule. But none of their searching was to any avail.

Soon enough, everyone gave up. Everyone apart from Lucifer. He still spent his free days, when he wasn’t either with the detective or sorting things at LUX out, trying to bring you back to him.

A killer had struck again. Chloe explained the situation, but Lucifer’s mind was somewhere else. There were a pair of wings on the wall. Angel wings mounted on the wall. And he knew exactly who they belonged to. Emphasis on the past tense.

His eyes filled with rage as he stormed away from the crime scene and into an alleyway. He had to get to Avenger Tower, maybe someone would help him find you. Loki. You were good friends with Loki. Even if no one else wanted to help he was sure the Asgardian prince would.

Within seconds he was at the tower, due to his wings.

Storming through the common room floor, he finally found the raven haired prince.

“She’s alive.”

“She, who?”

“Your best friend. The archangel. My wife. Y/n Morningstar.”

“She was found alive three years ago, Lucifer.” Loki said as you walked into the common room after being on a run with Steve and Bucky, the pair on either side of you.

“Oh, fuck.” You mumbled as you tried to get away from the situation. But, you weren’t fast enough, since halfway to your room, Lucifer stood in your path, his wings in all their glory, taunting you. “What do you want, Lucifer?”

“What do I want? What do I want? I want to know why my wife, there all powerful archangel decided that she would stay here, for three years, completely fine and tell no one anything about it! That is what I want, Y/n!” Lucifer regretted shouting when he saw you visibly flinch.

“I wasn’t completely fine or however it was that you out it. They captured me, experimented on me. They held me prisoner. They took my wings and then they mounted them and put them on a wall in that place where I would be forced to look at them all the time. I wanted to come back to LA, to you and to LUX. But you wouldn’t want a damaged angel. Like you said, I’m supposed to be one of the all powerful archangels. I have no wings, Luci. I’m useless. That’s why I didn’t come back. You wouldn’t want me anyway.”

“Don’t ever say that you’re useless and I wouldn’t want you, my darling. I will always want you and love you. I made a promise when we married that I’d be there for you no matter what. So get that thinking out of your head. I love you, Y/n, and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. I just- just don’t leave me ever again, please. I don’t know how I’ll cope. You ask the detective about how I’ve been in your absence and she’ll tell you.” Lucifer said, his own tears threatening to spill.

“You really mean all that? You still want me even though I’ve got no wings?”

“I’d want you even if you turned human, lost your angelic abilities and turned into some hideous being.”

“Thanks, Luci.”

“You’re welcome, my dove. Now, show me around this place, I want to know what’s been going on in the time I haven’t been around you.”

Just binge watched Lucifer on Netflix and now I present to you:

Desmond Miles survives 2012 (Desmond Miles Lives truthers, where ya at?), gets the hell outta dodge from the temple with new POE powers, and gets hired to work at Lux in LA. Meets his new boss and both of them are like, "!"

Lucifer instantly knows this boy is hella special because, damn does his soul reek of Isu Bullfuckery. (Headcanoned God and his Angels are sort of a rival interdimensional species to Isu, and God is the one who supposedly gave humans free will... idk I never paid attention to bible study anyway.)

Does the whole, "what do you desire?" schtick and Desmond, due to POE powers and Isu Bullshittery, wonders 'why the fuck is actual Satan here in LA?'

I imagine a platonic bromance relationship between these two. Y'know? 'Cause on the one hand we have the Reluctant Ruler of Hell and on the other hand the Reluctant Savior/Sacrificial Lamb of Humankind.

Lucifer could offer safety and protection from whoever Desmond is hiding from, while Des can be his bartender/bouncer/very much-needed BFF. And come on, I betcha good ole Lucy boy (and Maze) would absolutely enjoy dragging a couple a lot of Abstergo people Vidic down to Hell for multiple crimes against humanity(i.e. kidnapping and unethical human experimentation which results in mental instability.)

I’m all in for this idea. Desmond and Lucifer being bash brothers, yes please. Just imagine the chaos these two would get to because they're both morally dubious? XD

Also, just imagine how much faster Chloe would be finishing her cases with Desmond’s Eagle Vision? She would have two cheat codes with her this time.

Anyway, I’m going to focus on how we can integrate Lucifer into AC more in this one.

Before anything, just a sorta fun trivia: Lucifer has a little cameo in Crisis on Infinite Earths and he talks to John Constantine, implying they have some sort of history together. John Constantine is played by Matt Ryan who voiced and mocap’ed Edward Kenway XD

We will be keeping this contained to Lucifer though but you can totally add a John Constantine cameo and set it during the time Desmond is working in Lux (and you can totally add Desmond feeling some sort of longing and sorrow because John Constantine sounds and looks familiar to his Bleed of Haytham Kenway)

Alright, with that little trivia out of my system, let’s talk about how we can push Lucifer into AC canon.

(You might not have paid attention to bible study but my religion teacher was so boring he had to implement a rule that there should be no other notebook/books related to other subjects on our table during class because we kept doing other subjects when he’s lecturing us soooooo I was bored enough to read the bible he made us bring every class. I'm sure he'll be proud I'm using what I learned in his class for fic related things XD)

Let’s talk about God in Lucifer’s show. He’s obviously based on the Judeo-Christian God. Now, we have no confirmation if that said God does exist as an Isu in Assassin’s Creed BUT we do have a leeway we can use to make it easier to integrate the characters from Lucifer into Assassin’s Creed.

The Templar Order uses the phrase “May the Father of Understanding guide you”. Now, this is based on the Isu triad that pops up a bit.

The one we’re more familiar with is the Capitoline Triad where Tinia is known as the “Father of Understanding”.

However, there is an earlier iteration of this triad.

The Isus who created humans.

And the one to hold the title of ‘Father of Understanding’ during that time is Yaldabaoth.

Gnosticism presents a distinction between the highest, unknowable God, and the Demiurge, "creator" of the material universe.

Gnostic Christians considered the Hebrew God of the Old Testament as the evil, false god and creator of the material universe, and the Unknown God of the Gospel, the father of Jesus Christ and creator of the spiritual world, as the true, good God.

If we use the statements above and the fact that Yaldabaoth is considered one of the creators of mankind, we can set up God as another Isu scientist who had an alternate idea of a workforce but his idea was pushed aside and Yaldabaoth’s project with the other two Isu scientists moved forward.

God, in anger, created his ‘children’ together with the Goddess. And, to complete the triad, we’ll add Lilith as an Isu as well instead of Adam’s first wife. The three of them (although Lilith has a more advisory role to this entire thing and is actually working on her own workforce idea) created the ‘Angels’, trying to one-up all the data they could get from Yaldabaoth’s project to make them better than humans.

They are. Unfortunately, that meant they were also… shall we say… ‘freer’ than humans as well. God knew that the Isus would see them as defective and, not only that, many would find what they have done as some form of betrayal and being stripped of their rank and status would be the lightest sentence the Isu would give them. So God and Goddess kept the Angels a secret, and passed them off as human slaves while Lilith went her merry way and continued to work on her personal workforce.

And now we come to the whole ‘gave mankind freewill’.

So many like to point at Lucifer as being the serpent that gave Eve the forbidden fruit. Let’s use it. Lucifer, being one of God’s first children, takes an Apple of Eden and presented it to Eve who used it to start the Human-Isu war. Lucifer takes up arms to join the humans.

Things get super messy when they find out about the impending Solar Flare and God and Goddess decided to add their consciousness to a device called ‘Heaven’. (In this setup, Goddess!Charlotte would be like a more ‘questionable’ setup of an Isu consciousness overwriting a human’s consciousness). Their children (who did have the kind of body that would survive a solar flare and were more or less immortal) were tasked with guarding ‘Heaven’.

Except Lucifer who, as punishment for starting the whole Human-Isu war, was tasked to guard a device called ‘Hell’. He guarded it together with Lilith’s ‘children’, the demons.

What these two devices do will be a mystery but they are connected to the Gray in some way and to the Calculations. Perhaps it’s even the actual database of all the Calculations and, by that very definition, it housed all the knowledge, memories and emotions of every living thing in the world.

What defines them as a person.

What defines their soul.

And, from there, we can just integrate all Celestial things in the show as this entirely more advanced workforce’s ‘code words’. (And the devices are connected and that’s why God could boot the Goddess into hell)

By the time 2013 rolls around, Lucifer already owned Lux for a few years now and Desmond applies as a bartender as he’s had enough of all these Assassin-Templar BS to last him a lifetime. He saved the world, this is his damn retirement plan.

Lucifer sees him and goes ‘how interesting, an actual human-POE hybrid.’ while Desmond sees him and goes ‘why does he feel… familiar?’ because his Isu genes and POE-hybridness is giving him signals that Lucifer is definitely not human BUT he ain’t an Isu too.

He’s… Isu-adjacent.

Like Maze.

So Desmond continues to work there and Lucifer finds the perfect time to do the whole “what do you desire?” and Desmond’s POE-hybridness just kicked in.

We’ll make it in this fic that all the Apples are connected to one another and they have a ‘shared memory space’ so Desmond ‘remembers’ that this is the smug bastard who gave the Apple to Eve.

And, because of his limited knowledge of religion, he goes “Why the fuck is actual Satan here in LA?!”

(side note: some count Satan and Lucifer as two different beings but, in this case, we’ll just make Satan another name for Lucifer)

So now they both showed their hands. Lucifer just blatantly showed he wasn’t human and Desmond just showed he has Isu-related knowledge.

Cue an entire night of trying to get drunk while talking about what the fuck happened to them (with special mention to their daddy issues and the whole reluctant ruler of hell and the ‘more-or-less pushed into it’ savior/sacrifice)

At the end of their heart-to-heart, Desmond becomes Lucifer’s main confidant and slowly becomes his BFF. Lucifer uses his mojos to keep Desmond hidden from both Assassins and Templars.

Also… it’s not just Abstergo’s that in his shitlist. William Miles is there as well, that’s for damn sure.

Another subplot we can add is that Lucifer ‘asking’ Chloe to look into Abstergo just so he can, you know… ask them… what they desire?

Other unorganized notes:

What do we do with Juno? I set it to 2013 so Desmond dealt with Juno before peacing out to be a random bartender. Hey, if Ubisoft can do it in the comics, we can take out Juno with one paragraph… maybe even one sentence.

Desmond could see through Maze’s shapeshifting. Whenever he uses Eagle Vision, he sees Maze’s true form.

Actually, Desmond’s Eagle Vision has been powered up by his POE-hybridness that he sees EVERYONE’s true form. His only description of Lucifer’s form? “Bright as fuck.” (this also means Desmond knows Michael by 'sight')

Also, Amenadiel? He looovvveess Desmond’s Shirley Templars.

Lucifer’s deals? He has a connection to Hell and, because of that connection, he’s connected to the Calculations as well. In this case, any deal he makes impacts the Calculations slightly so the person making the deal would get what they want.

Chapter Eighteen: God is Real, but That’s Not Really Important

Summary: (Y/N) and Em reveal the truth to Leon, Marcel, Noa, and Olive.

            (Y/N) steeled themselves before they walked out of Lux and into the street. They had left Lucifer to celebrate the return of his handsome face instead of the Devil face, skin, and wings. However, their troubles weren’t finished. They still had to speak to their friends. Leon, Marcel, Olive, and Noa had all experienced Lucifer’s mojo and seen (Y/N) use their abilities to help them. They needed the truth. They deserved it.

            That being said, (Y/N) was terrified. After all, they’d never had to tell anyone before. Sure, they’d told Chloe and Amenadiel about their abilities, but they already knew that God and angels and demons existed. (Y/N)’s friends didn’t even know that. They’d have to tell them everything.

            And deal with the fallout, they thought nervously (unhelpfully, too).

            “Is everything alright, Birdie?” asked Em as (Y/N) stepped outside. She stood with the rest of the group, still patiently waiting. Or anxiously waiting. (Y/N) couldn’t tell.

            “Dad’s got his face back,” said (Y/N), nodding.

            “What do you mean his face?” said Marcel incredulously.

            (Y/N) put up a hand. “How about we take this slowly?”

            “What is happening?” asked Noa.

            “You’re never this serious,” said Leon.

            “I know,” said (Y/N). “But this…you need to take it seriously.”

            “Tell us what’s going on, (Y/N),” said Olive.

            (Y/N) shifted, and Em patted their arm supportively. “I’m here, too, Birdie. I’ve got you.”

            “Thanks,” murmured (Y/N) before facing their friends properly. “Alright. I’ll tell you all. But before I do that, I need you all to know that this changes pretty much your whole outlook on existence.” Their friends’ eyes widened. “So if anyone wants to just go back to their life, go now.”

            “What is this, the Matrix?” said Noa. They crossed their arms. “We’re your friends, (Y/N). You can tell us anything. We’re not scared.”

            “Right. Whatever you’re dealing with, we’re here with you,” said Olive.

            “Yeah!” said Marcel, and Leon nodded.

            “We understand what you’re saying, but we wish to know.” Leon gestured to Lux. “And we’ve seen enough to know something is going on, more than we know. We can’t ignore it.”

            (Y/N) nodded. “You’re right.”

            “Go ahead. Tell them,” said Em encouragingly.

            The LGBTQ+ Breakfast Club leaned forward, and (Y/N) squared their shoulders.

            “God is real,” said (Y/N).

            “…This is about religion?” asked Marcel.

            Em sighed. “I mean, yeah, but they’re being serious.”

            (Y/N) nodded. “God is real, but that’s not really important.”

            “I mean, I think a lot of people would disagree,” said Em. “But they’re not wrong.”

            “Okay, so…what is the important part? The crazy part?” asked Noa.

            “My dad is Lucifer,” said (Y/N).

            “We know that, so what—” Olive paused as she processed. “Oh.”

            “He is the Devil? The Devil of the Bible?” said Leon, saying the truth out loud.

            (Y/N) nodded. “He is.”

            “Holy shit,” said Marcel.

            “Unholy shit,” corrected Em unhelpfully.

            “How-He’s on Earth. Isn’t he supposed to be in Hell? You know, ruling it and all that?” asked Noa in confusion. “That can’t be possible.”

            “He left Hell,” said (Y/N). “He lives in LA, he runs Lux, he solves crimes with Chloe.” They folded their arms. “And that trance everyone was under in Lux was his ‘mojo,’ his abilities. People tell him their deepest desires.”

            “Oh, so that’s why I was thinking about…” Olive trailed off, and her cheeks turned pink.

            “Yeah,” confirmed Em.

            “This is crazy,” said Marcel, staring at (Y/N).

            “I know,” said (Y/N). “But can you handle more?”

            “How much more can there be?” asked Leon. “You’ve already told us that the Devil walks the Earth.”

            Em coughed awkwardly. “How do you feel about demons?”

            The group stared.

            “No way,” said Olive.

            “Damn,” said Marcel in surprise.

            “You’re a demon?” asked Leon.

            Em nodded. “Uh, yeah.” They waited for a negative reaction, and (Y/N) shifted closer for support.

            “How do you look our age?” asked Noa.

            Em blinked. That was not what she had expected, but she supposed if they accepted that Lucifer was a Devil without fear, then they didn’t mind they were a demon. “I am your age.”

            “So demons and Lucifer just…live in LA? Casually?” asked Marcel.

            “Casually is…wrong,” said (Y/N).

            “What the hell does that mean?” asked Olive.

            “Do you guys want everything?” asked (Y/N).

            “Yes,” said the entire group emphatically.

            “Alright, then. Want to head up to the Penthouse to sit down? This is gonna take a while,” said (Y/N).

            “Do we need drinks?” said Em cheerfully.

            “Hot coco,” said (Y/N).

            (Y/N) sat down and completed the circle of six on the floor of the penthouse. They held their hot chocolate tightly and glanced around.

            “I’m surprised you guys are all taking this so well,” they admitted.

            “I’m sure the shock will wear off soon,” said Olive brightly.

            “But you’re our friend,” said Noa.

            “And Lucifer has always been nice to us,” said Marcel. “And Em is our friend.”

            “We have no reason to be angry or afraid,” said Leon. “Though I may be frustrated at not being informed earlier.” The others nodded.

            (Y/N) let out a chuckle of relief. “As long as you guys aren’t trying to send us to Hell, I’m fine with a bit of shunning.”

            “Please tell us that hasn’t happened,” said Noa, horrified.

            Em coughed awkwardly.

            “That didn’t happen to me,” said (Y/N).

            “Yes, it did,” said Em.

            “Oh, right, but that had more to with Dad,” said (Y/N).

            “Alright, alright, whoa!” said Marcel. He held up a hand. “You guys are way ahead of yourselves.”

            “Right, sorry.” (Y/N) settled back. “I’ll start from when Dad decided to foster me.”

            “You knew that earlier on?” asked Noa.

            (Y/N) nodded. “He protected me using his Devil-abilities to scare my uncle.”

            “Your uncle the murderer,” remembered Olive.

            “Right,” said (Y/N). “So I knew and trusted Dad from the start. He’s never been a problem. Everything else has been a problem.”

            “Was it Amenadiel or Malcolm first?” asked Em.

            “Amenadiel, I think.” (Y/N) looked at their friends. “He’s an angel, my Dad’s brother.”

            “I thought his name was unique,” said Leon.

            “Says ‘Leon,’ ” said Marcel.

            “What did he do? I thought you liked him?” asked Olive.

            “He tried to get my dad to go back to Hell,” said (Y/N).

            “A lot of people want him to go back to ruling there,” said Em. “So Amenadiel tried to mess up (Y/N) and Lucifer’s relationship.”

            “Which was annoying,” said (Y/N). “Luckily, it didn’t work.” They sighed. “However, he did make the mistake of making a deal with this guy named Malcolm who had gone to Hell briefly before coming back to life. He wasn’t great, and long story short, he tried to avoid Hell by killing my dad and threatened me.” They coughed. “I got shot.”

            “You got shot?” shouted Noa.

            “Uh, yeah?” said (Y/N). “Listen, this is just gonna get worse, so leave that aside.”

            “Oh, God,” said Marcel, and then had a crisis after using that phrase.

            “Birdie got shot,” said Em. “But it wasn’t from Malcolm. It was their uncle, who Malcolm got out of jail since he had seen Lucifer’s Devil Face and wanted to kill him.”

            “And then Chloe shot my uncle,” said (Y/N).

            “And now I come into the story!” said Em. “Because, uh, we had an escapee from Hell, and I didn’t want to get into trouble, so I, uh, climbed out of Hell while the barrier was weak.”

            “Who can escape from Hell?” asked Olive.

            “The Goddess of the Universe,” said (Y/N). “God’s wife.”

            “He has a wife?” said Noa in shock.

            “They’re…separate,” said (Y/N).

            “I feel like that explains a lot about existence,” said Marcel.

            “It does,” said (Y/N). “Especially since she has…issues. She had the best intentions, but like every Celestial—”

            “That’s what angels and demons are called,” explained Em.

            “—they always go about solving problems in the worst ways,” said (Y/N). “So Missy—”

            “Miss Universe was what Birdie called the Goddess,” interjected Em.

            “—became convinced that she could take back Heaven and have her family again by staging a coup,” explained (Y/N). “So she realized a sword in LA that caused everyone who held it to try to kill people. My therapist tried to kill me.”

            “That explains why you don’t go to therapy,” said Leon.

            “The sword belong to Azrael, which Uriel had stolen and fought Lucifer with,” said Em. “Azrael is his sister, Uriel is a brother.”

            “Why would an angel steal their sibling’s weapon?” asked Marcel.

            “Because he wanted Lucifer to send Missy back to hell, so he kept trying to kill me,” said (Y/N).

            “Luckily, it didn’t work,” said Em. “Since (Y/N) developed abilities. They protected them.”

            “You have powers?!” cried Olive.

            “Oh, yeah,” said (Y/N). “I control shadows.”

            “And you didn’t think to mention that first?” said Noa incredulously.

            “It really didn’t seem like the most important part of all this,” said (Y/N).

            Leon sighed. “Just continue.”

            “Right, right. So, yeah, Uriel tried to kill me, my dad ended up killing him, which led to a long crisis for him, but he recovered eventually,” said (Y/N). “Either way, Missy released the blade on the populace of LA, and people got hurt.”

            “Lucifer disliked what she’d done for her own gain,” said Em. “So then he decided that he wouldn’t even open a path for her to go to heaven herself.”

            “Missy got upset, threatened me, and she and my dad fought,” said (Y/N). “My dad ended up cutting a hole to another reality, and Missy is over there creating her own universe instead of messing with this one.”

            “And now we have a multiverse,” murmured Leon.

            “And actually a little after this, I met you guys,” said (Y/N).

            “All this happened before then?” said Noa.

            Em shrugged. “Celestials live busy, dramatic lives.” She looked at (Y/N). “Wasn’t the Sinnerman next?”

            “Right,” said (Y/N). “There was a killer called the Sinnerman, and it turned out to be an officer names Pierce who was actually Cain from the Bible who wanted to discover a way to die to stop being punished by God.” They sighed. “And his solution was to ask out Chloe because she makes my dad vulnerable when she’s around, so Cain thought the same would happen.”

            “Lucifer wasn’t happy about that,” sighed Em.

            Em put a hand on their arm, remembering (Y/N) had seen it happen. “He killed Charlotte Richards.”

            (Y/N) nodded stiffly. “Right. And then he kidnapped me to draw my dad out to kill him and then me.”

            “Oh my god,” said Olive. “Are you alright?”

            (Y/N) smiled slightly. “I wasn’t doing well then. But I’m doing better now.”

            “We’re glad,” said Noa.

            “We’re sorry we weren’t there for you,” said Marcel.

            “We didn’t know what you were going through,” said Leon, but their support was there.

            “Thank you,” said (Y/N). They sighed. “But there’s, uh, more.”

            “How much more could there possibly be?” said Olive incredulously.

            “We’re at my fifteenth birthday,” said (Y/N). “So only a few more months.” They took a sip of their hot chocolate. “So, during the fight with Cain, Chloe saw my dad’s wings.”

            “I though he had a Devil face,” said Leon.

            “It depends on if he hates himself or not,” said (Y/N).

            “Right, because that makes sense,” said Noa.

            “Nothing about Celestials make sense,” said Em.

            “You’re one,” said Olive.

            “Exactly,” said Em.

            “Anyways,” interrupted (Y/N). “Chloe freaked and had a huge reaction.” They glanced around. “That’s why I was worried about you guys. She had this crisis and nearly helped an evil priest send my dad back to Hell.”

            “But she came around,” said Em as the others cried out in alarm and worry. “She’s alright, now.”

            “But Father Kinley wasn’t happy, so he sent a killer to attack my dad, and the guy tried to shoot me,” said (Y/N). “But I used my abilities and protected myself.”

            “And scared that guy half to death,” added Em.

            “He tried to kill me, so it’s justified,” said (Y/N). “But the worst thing to happen this year was Eve turning up.”

            “Holy shit,” said Noa. “She’s the actual Eve, isn’t she?”

            “Unfortunately,” muttered (Y/N).

            “She’s not what I expected,” said Olive.

            “She keeps trying to flirt with my dad,” complained (Y/N). “And their short-lived relationship was terrible. My dad kept acting like someone he wasn’t.”

            “Exes are the worst,” said Marcel.

            “Right!” said (Y/N). “And then when it was discovered that a prophecy foretold that Lucifer finding his first love on earth would cause evil to appear, Eve tried to avoid breaking up with him even when he said the relationship was over with!”

            “I’m confused, how is she worse than almost getting killed?” said Leon.

            “She’s annoying,” said (Y/N).

            “I think your priorities are skewed,” said Leon.

            “Are we…caught up?” asked Marcel, worried about what else could be happening.

            “Uh, no, I think that’s it,” said (Y/N). They brightened. “Oh, but Maze is a demon too, and Linda and Amenadiel just had a kid so who knows what’ll happen with that.”

            The group stared, but after everything else, they couldn’t really have that much more shock.

            “Birdie,” said Em.

            “What?” asked (Y/N).

            “You’re Birdie for a reason,” said Em obviously.

            “Oh, right,” said (Y/N). They looked at their friends. “Don’t freak out.”

            “What else could possibly freak us out now?” said Noa.

            (Y/N)’s wings spread out from their back, deep red and curling through the rom.

            “Shit,” said Noa, staring with wide, awestruck eyes.

            “Wow,” said Olive.

            (Y/N) did jazz hands. “Tada.” They braced for a reaction.

            “They’re so cool!” said Marcel.

            “Impressive,” agreed Leon.

            “You guys really don’t mind any of this?” asked Em in surprise.

            “Well, we’re pissed you guys kept so many secrets from us,” said Noa.

            “But we’re your friends! We’re here to support you and care about you guys,” said Olive.

            “That’s what matters to us. You guys are still you,” said Marcel.

            “The only thing that has changed is what we know about the world,” said Leon. “Not our relationship with you.”

            (Y/N) grinned widely in relief, and their fingers folded back. “Thank you, guys. You have no idea what that means to me.”

            “To us,” agreed Em.

            “Don’t go sappy on us now,” teased Noa, hugged the pair tightly.

            “Me, too!” said Olive, jumping into the hug.

            Marcel smiled and joined the group hug, as did Leon. At the center, surrounded by their friends, (Y/N) smiled and closed their eyes. Everyone that mattered in their life knew who they were and still cared about them. They had their family and friends. (Y/N) had everything they needed.

A depresso-espresso fic with Buck dealing with the aftermath of the lawsuit. All thoughts/feelings from the characters are how I thought the characters would feel and not actually blaming anyone sksksk. Anyways this fic is REALLY sad and major trigger warnings in the fic notes

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 1,108,787, ahahaha. I’ve been at it for like 20 years though. 3. What fandoms do you write for? Baldur’sGate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Lucifer make up the bulk of my fics but I’ve dabbled in some more fandoms.  4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? All of my A Song of Ice and Fire fics are angsty since they’re about women who die in various horrible ways. But I’m generally more of a bittersweet writer, I think. 7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Like I said, I lean towards the bittersweet and most endings are more sweet than bitter.Compared to canon outcomes I’d say my Michael fics for the Lucifer fandom are the happiest ones because you can’t give me a wretched, bitter, jealous mirror to Most Loved Boi Lucifer and not expect me to root for him in some way. 8. Do you get hate on fics? Not since my Jamie/Brienne drabbles ended up on a rabid Jamie/Cersei reclist. I also had some snippy comments/PMs on a Michael fic where I closed down Hell because Lucifer the show gave me an American Dream ending with self-improvement through therapy in Hell instead of questioning revenge as a moral solution. 9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Gods, I used to. Not so much now, no. It’s just not that interesting to me anymore, I rather write around the smut. The kind of smut I like to write is emotionally intense and/or angsty, at any rate.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Very, very rarely. I’m uninterested in reading them myself but I’ve used crossover as a concept in two stories: Troy Lies in Ruins (Cyberpunk 2077) in which Johnny is the Clementine inside V’s head and I use Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as inspiration for their post-game quest to find each other again.

The Gods That Answer After Dark (Lucifer) in which I crossover Deckerstar with the novel The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and had a chance to shut down that damned hell again.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes, someone more or less paraphrased my Johnny/V fic And your heart, as it was then, will be on fire by posting their own fic with pretty much entire paragraphs stolen from mine. I didn’t do anything about it, though, it had no comments/kudos at the time. 

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, it was flattering. 

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I don’t think so, not that I can recall. I’d be up for it, though, it would be kind of cool to co-write a romance story where two authors write two different characters. 

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? I don’t think I can pick just one. 

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I always intend to finish the WIPs. That said, it would require a lot of willpower to return to the oldest WIPs I have, by now. 16. What are your writing strengths? I think I’m good at concepts, characters and hopefully keeping a distinct sort of style. I used to be more pretentious. I think my writing has become better by dropping some of the most literary concepts in favour of focusing on emotions and social dynamics. 

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot? I think I could write plot - I like to plan stories out - but I don’t really want to dedicate time to write it. I’m also really bored by action and exposition. Ugh at having to explain and describe shit beyond a tightly packed sentence or two.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I don’t even understand this question and will blame it on English being my second language. 

19. First fandom you wrote for? The Legend of the Ice People, oh my lord. If only for my desk drawer. https://www.amazon.com/The-Legend-of-the-Ice-People-19-book-series/dp/B075TY2F5M The US version of the covers have removed ALL suggestive and thrillingly forbidden vibe from the original though. What 13 year old me loved about them was that the first book was about a horny 16 year old girl who falls in love with a 40 something demonic and cursed (also solitary and very angsty) dude after having intense sex dreams about him as Satan. Every book after that just added to the cocktail of sex, history and ancient curses and for years so much of what I wrote was fanfic versions of this series.  20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written? I’m rather fond of this Aeducan/Gorim story: so I wait for you like a lonely house

Hazbin Hotel x Helluva Boss Theory: Why The Overpopulation Is Charlie’s Dad’s Fault & Theory To Fix It...In Fanon.

[Note: Reading This Post Is Optional. and Don’t Reblog Without Permission. also will talk about small spoilers from the Lucifer TV Show...and even the Fan Series that is  Arackniss Audio Series that is by Axelgear...]  

not everyone has to agree to this theory, but it still makes sense if you think about it...

there is a Overpopulation in Hell, in Hazbin Hotel (and possibly Helluva Boss, if they are in the same universe but have two different stories going on.)

but the overpopulation, might be the most high in the Pride Ring.

there is a rule that sinners can’t use the Elevators to take them to the other rings, which might be a foolish rule to make, as it has done more harm than good to make such a rule...

Lilith, you have married a Himbo I am afraid...

Charlie’s idea to redeem Sinners to stop the overpopulation to save lives and even try to help them become better, is a noble thing.

but it is still possible she might only be able to help some, while others who have crossed dangerous lines that should of never been crossed, cannot be redeemed......like certain Toxic-Priests & Toxic-Nuns, who can’t be forgiven for the disgusting actions they have done to the souls of innocent ones...

while there can be some Sinners in the Pride Ring, that could still be like chaotic neutral, but in theory some might be more darker than most, and aren’t able to be redeemed.

plus it could be possible that some of the people who ended up in Hell in both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, are good people, while only some other percent are neutral, chaotic neutral, and then there is the worse of the worse, far worse than Overlords, even if the Overlords would be more powerful.

in theory, if Lucifer had the meetings with the other rulers of the other rings, they can get rid of the rule that says that Sinners cannot go to the other rings.

there can be three options, go to Charlie’s Hotel to try to be redeemed, or wait for the next cleansing day when the Exterminators come down and kill some of the sinners in the pride ring, and that also gives the sinners the choice to hide or die.....

then there is the third choice, moving to one of the other rings that fits their trait and interest.

that last choice, might be important that is equal to Charlie’s goal to redeem her people and get them sent to Heaven....

man she is kind of like the Lucifer from the Lucifer TV Show, yeah plot twist and spoilers, the Lucifer from that universe ends up becoming, I guess a type of therapist and ends up with Chloe and even having a daughter named Aurora Morningstar....

but anyway, when Lucifer’s Dad from that universe retires and one of this other sons becomes the new God, Lucifer’s Dad ends up retiring to his ex and I guess well, former ex and now rekindle love and other half, Goddess’s Universe.

so at some point, Lucifer figures out the meaning of his father’s words, something about how Hell doesn’t need a keeper anymore...

that it needs a healer, meaning that Lucifer from that universe, would be helping redeeming souls through therapy so they can get to Heaven.

if Charlie ever watched that show, I think she would be a bit jealous of Aurora having such a cool dad. XD

might make Charlie’s Dad mad though, that his counterpart would give therapy to mortals so they can be redeemed and go to heaven...

dude, you don’t let the sinners go to the other rings, and have kind of caused the overpopulation in the first place, I might be a Defective Earth Angel who’s Mom when pregnant with me, NEVER got Morning sickness, and only got Evening sickness, which was part of the reason why I use the word Eveningstar and add that with Twilightner like something from Deltarune, like being between a Lightner & Darkner....the Player could be seen as a Twilightner probably.

anyway like I was trying to say, I might be a Defective Earth Angel, but even I had figured that out.

I don’t know how many Moms ever had just evening sickness, but I still find it weird and funny my Mom never got morning sickness with me and only got evening sickness.

it might be a good idea, that there should be some form of  therapy in the afterlife, for souls who had suffered trauma to their souls.

and some souls could have it far worse with some traumas, and some might be lucky not to have a full memory of some of their more traumatic past lives, or even ones that had nothing to do with them, but they might of inherited like copy memories that belong to their soul-parents that they had fragmented from.

which I guess could be like a soul mitosis, when a small piece of a soul breaks off and becomes a fragment but also becomes a newborn soul, and it might end up merging with another fragment soul and making someone new.

and I wouldn’t be surprised if Grandpa King David’s Daughter Tamar ever went through a soul mitosis, well her and the gal named Sarah who Asmodeus was smitten like a kitten for...could go through that soul mitosis as well, I mean possibly...but Asmodeus was like smitten like a kitten for Sarah.

in Helluva Boss, Asmodeus aka Ozzie is smitten like a kitten for Fizzarolli...

Ozzie can’t lie, the fans know he is smitten like a kitten for Fizzy....

it’s Sarah All Over Again....but like slightly different.

Ozzie from Helluva Boss and King Asgore from Undertale, should both be called Fluffybuns....maybe call Ozzie “Fluffybuns” just to mess with him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lucifer, Ozzie, Mammon and the others in both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, are cute idiots, and give off those himbo vibes...

if this was like a thing in real life, this would be possibly one of the reasons why the Goddess shouldn’t of been dethroned, it upsets the balance, but try telling that to the humans who back in the ancient stupid ages and think war solves everything...

and if Archangel Samael is Cain’s Bio-Dad, he ain’t really a good one...

and as weird as it might be, I think Cain possibly needs both a hug and therapy.

I still think both Cain and Abel were in the wrong, you do NOT harm fluffy babies in that way, Abel! you just don’t....

it’s one thing to use livestock for food and clothes, and yeah some animals you can have be like animal companions and even be emotional support animals.

but I can’t be the only one who is just realizing what Abel was doing was wrong, and the theory he could of got way worse later on.

Cain still shouldn’t of done what he did, but there could of still been some hidden meaning to it, something we never really thought of before....

but yeah, I still think those two were both in the wrong, but Cain needed spiritual and emotional healing, which is why I think he needs both a hug and therapy.

and like I pointed out before, even if Samael is Cain’s Bio-Dad, he ain’t the boss of me....even if Cain is my ancestor, and well I think because Seth is also my ancestor, wouldn’t that mean they both are kind of Dunkles...? 

and if he turns out to have a hand in Cain’s emotional and spiritual damage,

I might have another reason to think about placing him on the list...

you know the list that has to do with my wishing to punch those who deserve it in the groin, even if I never did that before and it is just wishful thinking...

Mammon was the first one I thought about doing that to, which is why he is at the top of the list....

I guess I could think about adding Asmodeus to that list, even if he is way bigger than me, cause well I’m only around 5′5″....

and it is just wishful thinking of something I would like to do to those who deserve it.....but if I was able to, I would try my best to punch Ozzie in the groin.

but Mammon would be the first.....and he freaking knows why, even if it is normal for people to be greedy, there is just some lines it should never cross...

anyway even if this might not happen in the canon of the shows, the whole sinners being allowed to move to the other rings to fix the overpopulation in the pride ring would possibly help a lot, and well it might only happen in the fanon timelines.

and it could be true that when a sinner does die from a holy weapon, their essence ends up becoming part of the buildings and items...

for all we know, Sir Pentious’s Hat was one of those victims of Exterminators.     

if Sir Pentious somehow could change into humanoid form, but like still have a hat head, he might end up having a rival for Arackniss...

pretty sure Arackniss might classify as a “Fallen Angel” in a certain Fan Series.....like starting out as a Sinner Demon, but then end up becoming a Angel, and then technically falling, and not really going back to being a sinner demon, but had become a Fallen Angel....some might get where I’m going with that theory, and it having to do with a certain fan series, and if it turn out my theory is canon in that fan series, I would be surprised, and maybe even happy. maybe I would end up freaking out. XD

and yeah, I’m talking about the Audio Series of Arackniss, that is by Axelgear

(and just like the canon series of both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, it isn’t for kids....and I guess would be like 18+ and for a mature audiences.)

anyway there might be a bigger reason why the pride ring is the most overpopulated, it might have to do with keeping all the sinners from going to the other rings....and if this does became so, Arackniss could end up adding Ozzie and Fizzy to his himbo harem....

we already know he is a bit of a moronsexual....he goes for cute idiots.

there can be different levels of a himbo, and with how Monty The Python is, he would be the highest rank himbo.....but probably come in second or third place...meaning there would be someone who more of a himbo than him....

Papyrus from Undertale, would come in second, and the one who would come in first would be Tucker from Red Vs Blue....I was thinking Caboose, but Tucker works as first place for now, because he thought he went back in time once and thought Donut was Sarge, so yeah he gets the highest rank of himbo...

Doctor Deep from Sonic Prime comes in fourth place, that he has to share with Eggman from Sonic Boom, because they both are Egg-Himbos.

and my being super weird aside, it could be possible that the overpopulation could be solved by relocation, which Charlie does have the right idea by suggesting redemption, but that might not be able to help everyone...

like it could help those who might not want to try it, but don’t really want to try.

but even if there are some who do try it, they might not be able to be redeemed because they just can’t be redeemed, while only some percent of the sinners of hell can be redeemed and be reformed into angels and send to heaven.

I don’t think it would just be me who figured this out, some fans might of also figured this out as they figured out the real reason for the overpopulation in hell, but it being more in the pride ring than the other rings....

maybe Lilith should take Lucifer over her knees and spank him for allowing it to get this far....no one should misuse the spanking, and it should only be use if it is truly needed, and with how some parents and those who are suppose to watch little kids are, they need to make sure not to over do it and not put all their strength into a spanking, it could possibly cause emotional damage, I mean it could be possible it could for some....

plus there can be a right and wrong way how some teachers handle little kids, like sending them in timeout way too much if they accidentally do something wrong without meaning to, and the teachers don’t try to explain in a calm and gentle way, instead of just making the child feel bad and at some point it is going to cross a line where they will stop playing with the other kids and keep to themselves....anyway it could be possible that there can be a right and wrong way...

and well Lucifer isn’t a child, but doesn’t mean he ain’t acting like one it would appear, and him keeping the sinners in his ring, and not letting them go live in the other rings, is possibly part of the reason for the overpopulation.

so Charlie’s redemption plan and even letting those who aren’t ready for redemption or have no interest in it, should be allowed to move to the other rings, as it would make the pride ring less overpopulated.

so yeah the sinners might need to go through a relocation process, either by going to Charlie’s Hotel for redemption or moving to one of the other rings.

also the whole Arackniss becoming a Fallen Angel in the Arackniss Audio Series by Axelgear, is more of a fan theory....and I wouldn’t be surprised if that theory turns out to be true....it could possibly make Arackniss a higher rank than a Overlord....like he could possibly be made as a Duke or a Prince.

but anyway, it could still be possible that if some of the sinners were moved to each of the other rings, it will cause the overpopulation in the pride ring to be less and it would help a lot, but also some of the half of the sinners that do move to the other rings, can be ones who want redemption but didn’t feel ready for it yet, and once they are ready, they can go to the pride ring (when it isn’t the cleansing day...) and go to Charlie’s Hotel.

and even if this might not happen in the canon timelines, it can work for the fanon timelines, even in crossover timelines.

plus this would be fan headcanon, that would work in the fanon...

maybe Lilith should ground her husband Lucifer for causing the overpopulation.....just place him in the box of shame, he will stay in the box as a timeout. XD

and another punishment for him, would be that he isn’t allowed to play with his rubber ducks, or be around his Lilith or even hold her and kiss her....

like picture Charlie’s Dad screaming “why must you torture me so?!”

and well the reply would be like “you know why young man, now back into the timeout box of shame!” XD

I’m weird, and even if some might not fully agree with it, I believe in a Goddess now too....though when someone misuses the words “may the lord have mercy on you.” or “may god have mercy on you.” because you come out and say you started to believe in a Goddess now as well, but when you freaking try to get that toxic-religious jerk to try to understand they are hurting your feelings and making you feel really bad as well as making you cry, of course they wont listen and will keep throwing those misused words at ya....

which is why I had to block that toxic-religious jerk a few years ago, who kept throwing either “May the lord have mercy on you” or “may god have mercy on you.” and I know that it was one of the two, and it still hurt my feelings.

I know I am better from what happen, and I don’t want to go through that again.

but that toxic-religious jerk didn’t listen to reason, they kept throwing those words at me, and they possibly thought they were “helping” but really they weren’t and I pointed out how it was making me feel bad and making me cry, but they wouldn’t listen, they kept throwing those same words and it wasn’t a good thing, and plus I had figured out what they were doing was misusing those words.

I think maybe that could count as religious trauma, well toxic-religious trauma.

not all people who are religious or spiritual will be like that person.

and what they did, was still wrong, but they still wouldn’t listen that they were making me feel bad and that could be the case with others they may have hurt if it wasn’t just me they had caused toxic-religious trauma to...

and I know I can’t really talk to my family about it, because they don’t know I don’t really go by Christian anymore, even if I can still believe in God, but I also believe in a Goddess now too...

I’m in different closets, and one of the them being the Aroaceflux closet...

and there is the Neo-Spiritual Closet.                                                                   

even if my family might disagree, but I don’t think they would be as bad as some families that take their disapproval a bit too far, and might try to “fix” someone who is Ace....there really needs to be a shirt that reads “being h*rny shouldn’t be mandatory, so stop shaming me for being Ace.”

but instead of the word Ace, it has a Spade instead.

and if sinners were to move to some of the other rings, it could be possible half of those sinners could end up becoming Overlords in the rings they end up moving to....

like there being a Overlord of the Lust Ring for one...

I know this idea and theory, might not be revealed to be canon, but it can still work in the fanon....and it does make sense that the overpopulation in the pride ring, and in the pentagram city, might have to do with how Lucifer is running things, and not understanding he can’t just keep all the sinners in one basket, and the pride ring is that basket.

anyway in my next post, I think I will talk about a FNAF theory, or maybe a Sonic Prime theory...

also I think Charlie could still be able to redeem some of the sinners, but that doesn’t mean she can redeem all of them, as some of them can’t really be redeemed, and have possibly done far worse than the three V’s and Alastor. 

and yeah, as weird as it might sound...if my theory is true, and the reason why the sinners can’t go on that elevator in one of the episode of Helluva Boss...

is because of that rule and it being why the pride ring is so overpopulated...

well, that still makes me think Charlie’s Dad should be put in a timeout in a box.

I know it might not, and it will just be in fanon, I mean they didn’t reveal that Megatron went through mitosis in TFA, and Sari is his daughter and she was a hatchling and wasn’t like the other protoforms that were taken from Yoketron’s Dojo...but fans do figure out things, even ones that never get fully revealed at the end of a show series.

or like in theory, Ultra Magnus turning out to be Megazarak, and not really being the Original Ultra Magnus, Megazarak could of placed the real one in stasis before Optimus’s Team ended up on Earth....

if Megazarak can’t be a big shot in the Decepticons, he might as well be so in the Autobots....

Megazarak use to be the leader of the Decepticons, but was exiled by Megatron.....so yeah, I believe “Ultra Magnus” the very one that got hurt by Shockwave, is actually Megazarak, and the real Ultra Magnus is being kept hostage at a secret base that belongs to Megazarak who is also disguised as Ultra Magnus....I think I will talk more about that theory another time...

but I hope some like the theory about why I think the overpopulation could be how it is in Hazbin Hotel, not everyone has to take this theory seriously, and in fanon it could be solved with having some of the sinners go through a relocation to the some of the other rings, and if some wanted to, they can also have the choice of going to Charlie’s Hotel and try to get redeemed even if they do ended up moving to one of the other rings before heading to the hotel.

Ooph, calling my current fic struggles “middle book syndrome” is just... Too Accurate. I don’t like it. I don’t want it to feel like a middle book! I want it to be a good story!

Though, I do understand that the true purpose of Books 2 and 3 are to entertain the readers who aren’t ready to leave my world behind. Because Book 1 honestly can stand entirely on its own! I don’t need sequels! I designed it that way on purpose because I have the epilogue of toddler Rory returning home to a changed timeline so the reader knows the happy ending. What they don’t know is how we got there. They don’t need to know that. It really doesn’t matter. But I thought it would be fun to explore Lucifer and Chloe taking the long way to meet back up with their daughter, because the last we see of S3 Lucifer and Chloe is them grief-stricken over saying goodbye to their daughter.

And by god I want to explore that grief. This isn’t like canon where Chloe is already pregnant with Rory when they say goodbye to their adult daughter. This is S3. It’s going to be years before they see her again. YEARS. They had their toddler daughter for two months! They were fully adjusted to being coparents and now their daughter is just -- gone. I want to eat that angst with a spoon like it’s ice cream with chocolate syrup and rainbow sprinkles. It’s fucking delicious!

There’s also the fun awkwardness of them still not being a romantic couple but they know they’re going to have a daughter in the future. That’s not going to put any weird pressure on them that will mess with their heads! :P And I want to explore that too, so that’s the other purpose of the sequels. Just allowing me to continue playing in this universe. It is purely self-indulgent for both me and the readers.

Doesn’t mean I want it to suffer middle book syndrome, though. I do think the grief exploration will make it compelling enough to not feel like a middle book. The real problem comes from incorporating the S4 plot into this. Sure I could ignore it, obviously. But I’ve decided I do want Lucifer to have to go back to Hell for a bit, because I absolutely adore the idea of Book 3 opening with it being a year exactly before Rory is meant to be born, and Lucifer’s not on Earth. That sounds delicious and is perfect given that the final scene of the series will be Chloe learning she’s pregnant. Now the main plot of Book 3 is them trying to confirm the timeline has been changed because they both want to ensure Lucifer will be there to raise Rory. They have no idea the timeline has already changed. All they know is the few things Rory mentioned have all happened. So they focus on stopping the one thing that hasn’t happened yet: Dan’s death. (Hence the title: Save the Douche, Save the World.) (The readers will already know Dan lives thanks to Book 1′s epilogue but that’s not the point. The point is the characters don’t know that.)

So, yeah I need the demon invasion still and I’m actually good with keeping the rabid priest and his prophecy because I’m moving up Chloe learning she’s a gift from God to the S4 era in this series, and prophecies mesh well with free will struggles from a thematic standpoint. Eve comes back to Earth for this too. Her storyline will obviously go differently from canon but I’m not sure exactly what journey it takes yet. So that’s some of the cloudiness I’m dealing with. I also want to foreshadow Michael’s push to become God, but it is going to stay at foreshadowing. I thought about pulling him into a more active role early, but I’ve ruled that out now.

... Though if I’m having Abel be the first soul to make it from Hell to Heaven... and that’s happening in Book 1.... Maybe I don’t need a demon invasion to pull Lucifer back to Hell....

I'm on my shit again so here we go.

God!Lucifer Headcanons

So assuming Lucifer became God right after the battle or very soon after (I'm electing to ignore his "true purpose" being the "rehabilitation of hell's souls" and any reservations he had about becoming God for now) and seeing that as he's Lucifer, being omnipresent and omniscient may not be all that appealing to him. We also know that God is able to store his power in an object and reclaim it at any point. So what's stopping Lucifer from storing aspects of God's power and only accessing them when need be?

Say he wore some sort of accessory or accessories within which he could store those powers and they would be on his person at all times. So he could basically tap into his abilities any time he needed but they don't have to be active all the time, thus he could still live his life without the burden of being all knowing or being everywhere at once. It would also be very useful to store the ability to be all-powerful especially for someone like Lucifer. God exploded Dan and put him back together in a fit of saltiness, imagine what Lucifer "oldest immature person alive" Morningstar could do by accident.

Earrings would be the most logical choice to store the powers in. Rings, necklaces and bracelets could easily be pick-pocketed or lost in a fight. I imagine he would get his lobes pierced and wear three earrings, each one imbued with the power of omnipotence, omniscience or omnipresence.

"But where does that leave his responsibilities as God at?" I hear you ask. Well, Lucifer has learned many times that he doesn't have to work alone. It's clear that ruling the universe all on his own did no good for God, so why would Lucifer repeat the same mistake? He has so many siblings, each with their own purpose and role. Why not teach them about Earth and its customs and how to use their unique powers to help it keep turning? This idea was briefly explored in season 6 and it's already established that Azrael's role as the angel of death is to collect souls and take them to the afterlife so it's clear that the various angels have various roles. The angels could help Lucifer with his responsibilities, this would make sure that what happened with God doesn't happen with Lucifer. He wouldn't be isolated from his family and they wouldn't be left in the dark again.

Finally, he could fix the broken Hell/Heaven system as a whole thus fulfilling that nonsense about his true calling being Hell's Therapist. A soul with reservations or guilt can go through hell to face that guilt and move on before finally reaching heaven, no torture required. A soul with no reservation can just go to heaven like before. All that's needed is a screening process to see if that soul actually deserves heaven. Shitty people can serve their appropriate sentence in hell, face the consequences to their actions and then go through rehabilitation.

Not to mention, this could also give the demons a new purpose and use what Maze learned about growing souls. If demons can grow souls then why not have Maze teach her siblings how to do that? Any demon who doesn't want a soul can stay a torturer, since those would still be needed to make sure people's sentences are served. If the rest of hell's demons grew souls and developed empathy, then they could start rehabilitating hell's souls instead of Lucifer doing it all on his own and leaving Chloe behind. Easier said than done but he's God now and he always had all the time in the world anyway.

She's constantly encouraging Lucifer to beat up suspects or torture the truth out of them and when she's told REPEATEDLY that's not how they do things, she ignores them. Oh, and she has the nerve to say CHLOE is a bad influence on him. No, honey, you are.

//But, I really wish Chloe had slapped Lucifer in this episode. I understand that he's spiraling because he thinks someone's death is his fault, but he is a self-entitled ASSHOLE. He brings Eve along with him WITHOUT asking Chloe and then proceeds to have a makeout sesh with her while questioning a suspect. Not okay. When they're in Tiernan's office, he devil-Hulks out and ORDERS Chloe to leave so he can beat him up. Why does he do all of this? Because "I'M THE DEVIL! I ruled hell and it's my job to punish people." Oh, and it's not Chloe's place to decide what's right and wrong.

//And to top THAT off, he throws in her face that, "you've made it plainly clear that you can't handle who I am." I get that he's still hurt from her betrayal and he has every right to be, but he's basing that on her reaction to his face. Not even his real face, his self-actualized face. It's how he sees himself. THAT'S what scared her. She'd been "handling" who he was for three years at this point. As for his face, she'd never seen anything like that in real life. She's not used to it. Of course, it's going to freak her out for a while. Cut her some fucking slack, Lucifer.

Body grew slack as she leaned into him. She felt boneless as she rested her head against his. Without him there to prop her up, Chloe knew damned well that she would have simply toppled over onto the bed to drift into a dreamless sleep. Having taken control had exhausted her completely. The third time was always a charm, it seemed.

Heart pounded in her chest as she kept her arms wrapped around him. The heat from her spent body was no doubt like a fever against him, at least, it's what she had believed.

"That was..." her words were panted as she continued to prop herself up against his much stronger, harder frame. "That was really something else."

Chloe sat in his lap, completely worn and well taken care of. She'd no want to disengage from him. She could just sit there with him inside of her and be wholly content. He'd been so irritating when they'd first met, but here she was wanting to be connected to him, to be as one.

Chaste kisses were offered against his temple as she nuzzled into the side of his head. A sleepiness born of exhaustion fell over her body. What stamina she'd had earlier in the morning when their third session had started had now been completely depleted. If there was to be a fourth act, it would have to be slow and lazy... and after a nap.

Chloe had no want to think about her admission of love. There was no way in Hell that it could be love. They'd known each other for less than a year. Besides, such proclamations tended to run people away and that was the last thing that she wanted. She wanted Lucifer in her life for a long, long time. Irritating moments and all.

Feeling her fingers card through his hair and clench at his back was almost too much. The flood of sensations, from the small pinching pain of her nails, to the soothing ease of her hand in his hair, all the way to the deep, sensual feeling of them together as one nearly made him dizzy. Briefly he wondered if this was what sex was supposed to feel like every time. How funny that would be, that he'd been doing something wrong this whole time to not feel like this.

Mazikeen as been in D.C for about two months now.

Maze is among the oldest and strongest demons who have existed for thousands of years, Mazikeen was one of the many and countless demons known as the Lilim, who were born from Lilith, Adam's first wife, and mother of Mazikeen and countless other demons.

Shortly afterward, Lilith abandoned Mazikeen and her siblings, then Maze and other demons became ruthless, brutal and fierce torturers of Hell, they learned the arts of torture by torturing Abel, the first soul in Hell who was murdered by his own brother Cain.

While Lucifer Morningstar ruled Hell, Mazikeen faithfully and loyally served him and tortured souls of the deceased mortals. Lucifer has called her "the most skilled torturer Hell's ever known", and "Hell's most brutal torturer". She was also tasked by Lucifer to torture Goddess while she was in Hell for thousands of years.

Mazikeen was one of Hell's most decorated torturers, inheriting a rather sadistic composure and sense of humor. Despite being seen upset in multiple episodes, Maze states to Amenadiel that 'demons don't get sad, they get mad'. She always entertains whatever sadistic ideas Lucifer may have and is even turned on when Lucifer suggests torturing a Lucifer-wannabe in "The Would-Be Prince of Darkness", excited about how it is like he is "torturing [himself]". It is even implied that she is partially a sadomasochist, remarking about how she "likes pain". Unlike Lucifer, she preferred her position in Hell, having become dissatisfied with Earth and whatever fascination Lucifer has with humans and has even resorted to consorting with Amenadiel behind his back in order to make that happen.

Despite all of this, she is profoundly loyal to Lucifer and whatever decisions that he makes, having left Hell to look after him and always nagging him for his own well-being. In "Sweet Kicks", it is shown that she would even fight and kill on his request, having shown up to rescue him and Chloe when they were cornered by a street gang.

Mazikeen is similar to Lucifer in many ways. They are both supremely confident, persistent, relentless, sexy, beautiful, muscular, sarcastic, charismatic, charming, magnetic, powerful, and sexually attractive. Also, they both disregard many social norms. This is evident when she undressed an unconscious Dan and put him in Chloe's bed in hopes of getting Chloe out of Lucifer's life. Despite her bad girl attitude, she is revealed to be lonely, as she had no real friends until Chloe, Trixie, and Linda. She also shows that she may have real feelings for Amenadiel, as she chose to use Lucifer's feather to save his life.

During season 1, Mazikeen is a wrathful and ruthless bodyguard of Lucifer and his bartender, and seemingly she doesn't feel emotional pain and the only person whom she loved and protect was Lucifer, and herself, as she care for him.

She is openly pansexual, also sexually promiscuous and has admitted she has had lots of sex with both men and women, even women who identify as straight. It is also implied that Maze and Lucifer were lovers at one point in their lives as revealed when Maze tried to seduce Lucifer. She also likes to make sexual jokes such as talking about getting into a dog pile position for a threesome with Chloe and Dr. Garrity, or referring to Chloe as “honey” as a sarcastic joke after they caught a killer.

            “Good morning, Dad—Whoa,” said (Y/N), staring at Lucifer’s hands. They were red and dragon-like, similar to his devil wings.

            “They’re devilish!” he cried, trying to pull gloves in panic.

            “Here.” (Y/N) reached out and helped him pull them on. “What’s going on?”

            “I woke up this morning, and now my devil wings are spreading like disease,” sighed Lucifer.

            “Do you know why it’s happening?” asked (Y/N).

            “I made a breakthrough in therapy,” said Lucifer.

            “What the hell kind of breakthrough—”

            “I hate myself,” said Lucifer.

            “That would do it,” said (Y/N). “I mean, your self-image is self-actualizing.” And apparently that’s a statement that makes sense in my world. “What are you going to do?”

            “I need to see Dr. Martin,” said Lucifer.

            “That’s the best idea you’ve had,” said (Y/N), nodding.

            Lucifer sighed. “Hopefully this will be cleared up soon.”

            “Yeah…” said (Y/N), glancing at where red peaked out from beneath his gloves. It wasn’t going away quickly. I hope he doesn’t continue hating himself. He doesn’t deserve to do that. He’s a great dad and person.

            “Okay, so…I’m guessing Dr. Martin didn’t help at all?” asked (Y/N) as they walked into the room that evening to find Lucifer with entirely red arms and glowing eyes.

            Lucifer’s gaze softened as they didn’t react poorly. He was so glad that (Y/N) wasn’t affected by his devilness. “No. It didn’t.”

            (Y/N) sat down next to him. “Well, until you get your self-esteem back, just remember that I like you.” (Y/N) smiled at him. “Maybe that’ll be enough for you.”

            Lucifer smiled. “I hope so.”

            “Hey, Lucifer, are you ready?” asked Chloe, walking into the apartment. “Oh, hi, (Y/N).”

            “Hey, Chloe,” said (Y/N). “Have you got a case?”

            “Yes, that’s why I’m here for Lucifer,” said Chloe. She held a bag and gazed at Lucifer gently. “I have a solution for you for now.”

            Lucifer straightened, surprised that Chloe had considered him.

            (Y/N) smiled to themself. They still liked Chloe and Lucifer together.

            “Really?” asked Lucifer.

            “Yeah.” Chloe lifted a large, ornate mask out of the bag and showed it to him. “I made sure that the theme of the party is masquerade.” She smiled.

            Lucifer smiled back. “Thank you, Detective.”

            “Wait, is this not a usual Lux party?” asked (Y/N).

            “No,” said Lucifer. “We’re hoping someone sneaks up here.” He frowned. “Actually, I’d like you come downstairs so that you don’t get hurt.”

            “I knew you’d forget that, so I grabbed some extra masks,” said Chloe, rolling her eyes and holding up a bag of red and gold masks.

            “I’ll grab Em and come down,” said (Y/N). “Can I bring friends?”

            “Why not?” said Lucifer.

            “Lucifer!” said Chloe.

            “The whole point is to get the killer up here, so the safest place is down there,” said Lucifer, pulling on the mask and heading towards the elevator.

            “Don’t worry, Chloe. We’ll be fine!” said (Y/N).

            Chloe was beginning to worry that (Y/N) was getting Lucifer’s bad habit of being way too relaxed in dangerous situations.

            “You know, I like parties with themes,” said Leon.

            “You like having the rules,” said Marcel.

            “Yes. It makes things simpler,” said Leon, shrugging.

            “Are you sure we’re supposed to be here?” asked Olive, looking around.

            “We all need a break,” said (Y/N), shrugging.

            “Might as well use what we got, right?” said Em.

            “Dressing up is fun,” agreed Noa.

            Lucifer, in his large mask, was walking into the room with Chloe on his arm.

            “Is that the girl you want to set him up with or the annoying one?” asked Olive.

            “I like Chloe,” said (Y/N), watching as she and Lucifer split up to circle the room.

            “It’s the one approaching him that (Y/N) doesn’t like,” said Em.

            “Is she still trying to get back with Lucifer?” huffed (Y/N), immediately heading over.

            “So…are we going to do anything about that?” asked Olive.

            “Looks like (Y/N) has it covered,” said Noa.

            “Just…leave that alone,” said Em, pulling their friends to grab Shirley Temples and cokes.

            “I understand that I wasn’t giving you what you needed before, but…I really think I can now.”

            (Y/N) walked up to Eve speaking to Lucifer.

            “Eve, this is really not the time,” hissed (Y/N) before Lucifer even got a chance to respond.

            “I just want to talk. I understand,” said Eve.

            “No, Eve, I broke up for a reason,” said Lucifer decisively. “There’s an end-of-the-world prophecy being fulfilled!”

            “Oh, Lucifer, there’s no evil to be worried about,” said Eve, trying to reach out.

            “Yes, there is,” said Lucifer, stepping back. “So just leave me alone.” He turned and walked away, angry and caught in his thoughts of evil and self-hatred.

            (Y/N) turned and hurried off after Lucifer, leaving Eve alone. “Hey, you okay?”

            “Yes, I’m—”

            “Lucifer!” said Chloe, running up.

            “What is it, Detective?” asked Lucifer, trying to stand tall while his mind spiraled.

            Chloe took a deep breath. “Father Kinley escaped.”

            (Y/N)’s eyes widened, and Lucifer stiffened, instantly reaching for (Y/N) worriedly.

            I’m not going to say my night couldn’t get worse because it will, thought (Y/N).

            “Don’t worry, Lucifer, we’ll find him and get your answers about your face,” said Chloe.

            “Has it spread even more?” asked (Y/N) worriedly.

            “I can’t stop it,” said Lucifer.

            A crowd started pressing in around them, and the trio looked at them in confusion.

            “I want to divorce my husband,” said one woman, speaking as if in a trance.

            “I want to be famous,” said a man.

            “I wish I hadn’t gotten that tattoo,” said another woman.

            “I wish I’d told him how I felt.”

            “Lucifer, your mojo is affecting everyone,” said Chloe, eyes widening.

            I knew it would get worse! (Y/N) pulled off their mask. “My friends. Shit, I need to get them out.”

            “Wait, (Y/N)—!” Lucifer tried to reach for them, but they disappeared into the ground, and Chloe pulled him away as people pressed in.

            “Em, where is everyone?!” said (Y/N), appearing beside the young demon.

            “I’ve got Leon,” said Em, holding him by the arm as they tried to turn towards Lucifer. “But the others slipped away.”

            “Shit, damn it!”

            (Y/N) grabbed Em’s hand and pulled her behind them through the crowd. Taking a deep breath, (Y/N) willed the shadows to help them find their friends. Sure enough, shadows spread from beneath their feet and showed the path to their friends.

            “Grab Marcel, I’ve got Noa and Olive!”

            Em (reluctantly) let go of (Y/N) and grabbed Marcel by the arm while (Y/N) pulled Noa and Olive behind them. They forced their friends out of the door and away from the influence of Lucifer’s mojo.

            “They’re not snapping out of it,” said Em, shaking Marcel, but the glazed look in their friends’ eyes wasn’t changing.

            “Shit, shit, shit,” grumbled (Y/N). “Why won’t it break?”

            “We’re not human, so maybe we can’t feel how strong it is for them right now,” said Em.

            “I’m going to do something stupid,” said (Y/N), and they held Marcel’s hands. For a moment, shadows twirled up around their arms and rushed over Marcel’s. Their eyes turned red, and his dreamy state snapped.

            “What—?”

            (Y/N) moved onto Olive, repeating the movements with his hands. Then Leon, then Noa.

            The four stared at (Y/N) and Em as they stared back. (Y/N)’s eyes returned to normal, and the shadows receded.”

            “What the fuck?” said Olive.

            “What the hell was that?” said Noa.

            “This is very strange,” said Leon.

            “Weird as shit,” agreed Marcel. “What was all of that?”

            “I swear I can explain,” said (Y/N). They looked up at the building behind them. “But I need to get to my dad, first.” They dashed back inside the building, and the group turned to Em.

            “Okay…You guys are gonna want to sit down,” said Em awkwardly.

            “Thank you for helping me,” said Kinley, smiling at Eve and Maze as they stared at him. “God certainly sends us unusual assistance when we are most in need. But I must confess…I’m not sure why you helped.”

            Maze’s eyes flicked to Eve. She had hoped her song would help Eve realize how she felt, but Eve had just continued to think of Lucifer. “Me, either.”

            “Well, you know, I need to redefine things, just like you suggested, Maze,” said Eve, fixing herself a drink shakily. “It seems like Lucifer is clearly worried about this prophecy. That must be what’s holding him back. And the Father here can help him realize that it’s all just a bunch of nonsense, and then he has to love me again.”

            “I’m familiar with the demon Mazikeen, but you are…?” Kinley trailed off.

            “Oh, forgive me, Father.” Eve smiled. “I am Eve.” She curtseyed.

            “Of course,” said Kinley. “The first woman. Lucifer’s first love.”

            “First and only,” said Eve proudly.

            Maze furrowed her brow. She wasn’t an idiot; she knew Lucifer loved (Y/N). They were father and child.

            “Does this mean you’ll help me?” asked Eve.

            “I’m sorry, my child, but now that I know who you are—the Original Sinner—I’m all the more convinced that the prophecy is real,” said Kinley.

            Eve turned away in frustration and looked at Maze, but she was staring at her phone as Linda’s announcement that the baby had come came through.

            “Hey,” said Eve quietly, nervously. “You think you can maybe work your magic on the priest? You know, convince him that he’s wrong about the prophecy using your knives and other sharp objects?”

            “I’ve tortured guys like Kinley before. He’s a fanatic. Nothing I do will change his mind,” said Maze, blunt as ever and annoyed that Eve was still obsessing over Lucifer.

            “Okay,” said Eve shakily, nodding her head. “That’s okay. That’s fine. I just need to figure out another plan.” She snapped her fingers. “I got this! Maybe it’s Los Angeles! You know? Maybe I just need to take Lucifer out of town to-to just be us again. You know? Just us. No distractions.”

            “Enough!” shouted Maze. “Lucifer doesn’t love you! He loves (Y/N), his kid.”

            Kinley’s eyes narrowed.

            “He won’t leave them, he won’t go away with you, and there is no way to make him love you. He just won’t. I’m sorry, but sometimes you have to accept when…when someone doesn’t feel that same way about you.” Maze stared at Eve sadly. “I have to go.” She walked past Eve and left the building.

            Eve paced nervously. “Okay. I can do this.” She couldn’t give up yet. She just couldn’t. “I can do this, I can do this. All I need to do is get Lucifer out of LA. And (Y/N) can stay with the Detective for a little! Yeah. Yeah. A vacation for just us. That’s all I need. But where? Okay…Vegas? Paris. Or…we could just go to a deserted island where it can just be the two of us.”

            “Pardon me, my child,” said Kinley, and Eve turned to him. “I think I may have a way to help you after all.”

            “What-what do you mean?” asked Eve.

            “I know a place you could go with him where he could get away from the bad influences he’s had here,” said Kinley. “Where you could be together for eternity. Where he could be a king again.”

            “You mean Hell?” said Eve hesitantly. Kinley nodded. “Yeah…I-I don’t think Lucifer wants to go back there. And you heard what Maze said. He wouldn’t leave (Y/N).”

            Kinley’s lip curled at the mention of the child. The Antichrist walking the earth…disgusting.

            “Perhaps Lucifer needs a reason to go back. And that…child could go with him,” said Kinley, forcing his voice to see supportive and friendly. “After all, he’s never been there before with a queen or a child.” He spat the word, wanting to say Antichrist. He couldn’t see (Y/N) as a teenager, a person. He saw an incarnation of evil.

            “Why are you helping me?” asked Eve.

            “I’ve dedicated my life to preventing the prophecy,” said Kinley. “If you and the child and Lucifer were to go to Hell together, well, that would accomplish that. It would solve both our problems.”

            “But I…” Eve trailed off nervously. She liked the idea, but she didn’t know how to continue. “I wouldn’t even know how to convince to go back.”

            “Well, perhaps remind him of the warm welcome that awaits him down there,” said Kinley. “All his adoring subjects eagerly awaiting his return.”

            A smile spread across Eve’s face. “Yeah!” She knelt and began undoing his bindings. “That actually gives me an idea. Maze said that demons can enter the bodies of the recently dead. So if one of his subjects could rise up from Hell, maybe they could convince him!”

            “Hmm, that may work, yes,” said Kinley, going along with her as he slipped his hand out of the strap and watched her start on his other one.

            “Now all we need it someone to deliver the message down to Hell,” said Eve. “You know, someone who’s about to die and that’s, well, definitely headed down there.”

            The final strap snapped open. Kinley lunged. He grabbed Eve by the throat and pinned her to the ground as she fought against him.

            “No, I’m sorry. I really would like to help,” he said as he strangled Eve. “But there’s simply too much at stake. Lucifer’s first love may not be you, but if I’m to kill the Antichrist, the abomination all you fools deem a child, I need you out of the way. To stop the prophecy, I kill his first love. Then it and the evil it brings will be gone.”

            Eve coughed as Kinley revealed his plans to kill (Y/N), and she reached to her side. She grabbed one of Maze’s stored knives from beneath the nearest chair. Desperately, she slammed it into Kinley’s neck. He spluttered and grabbed the wound as Eve pushed him off of her and scrambled away. She stood over Kinley as he bled to death. She swallowed hard and stared at him.

            “You…” She knelt. “You can deliver the message. When you get down there, you tell them to come and get their king. Okay? You-you tell them to come and help me save Lucifer.”

            “Why…Why would you think—” Kinley coughed, and blood dribbled from the corner of his mouth. “—I’m going to Hell?”

            “Just a hunch,” said Eve through gritted teeth.

            Kinley’s head fell back, limp. He was dead.

            (Y/N) ran past Chloe escorting a woman out in handcuffs and immediately went to Lucifer’s room. Their eyes widened as they found him completely devilish. His old face was back, his wings were draconic, and his skin was red and blistered.

            “Everything I touch, I ruin,” he whispered to himself sadly. “Rebellion, me and the Detective, Eve, everything…”

            “You helped me,” said (Y/N), and Lucifer turned in surprise.

            Instantly, he averted his eyes, hating that his child was seeing him like this. “I cause harm to everyone who I care about or who cares about me. How many times have you been hurt or threatened? How many times is it because you’re close to me?” Lucifer gazed at them softly. “I can’t—I don’t want you to get hurt before of me.”

            “Dad, none of those things are your fault,” said (Y/N). “Those people who hurt me are just bad people. You have nothing to do with it.” They swallowed. “Everything you’ve given me is a blessing.” Lucifer’s eyes widened at the word. “You gave me a life. You let me be myself. You support me. I have friends, a family with you. I am happy, Dad. I was happy for the first time in my life when you came into it. The minute I met you, you respected who I was. Why would I think you brought any harm into my life?” (Y/N)’s wings unfurled, the precise red of his skin. “All you brought was care and empathy and family. You brought me all the blessings in my life.”

            Before he could respond, they hugged him tightly. Lucifer felt tears prick his eyes, and he closed them tightly as he held (Y/N). “Thank you, (Y/N). I want to be all the good you see in me.”

            (Y/N) smiled. “You already are.” They opened their eyes and looked up at him. Their eyes widened. “Dad!”

            Lucifer opened his eyes. “What—” He saw his skin. It was once again peach and human, no longer an aggressive red. “I…I’m myself.”

            “You remembered who you were all the time,” said (Y/N), grinning at their dad.

            “Thanks to you.” Lucifer hugged (Y/N) tightly again. “No matter how much I’ve done for you, you’ve done so much more for you. You mean more to me than you know. Family isn’t something I’m good at, but I’m trying. For you.”

            “I know, Dad. I know,” said (Y/N), hugging him back.

            And maybe soon I’ll earn the right to be your legal father, thought Lucifer, thinking of the adoption papers still in his desk, ready for signing.

            Behind them, Chloe reentered the penthouse before backing out again. She smiled. (Y/N) and Lucifer were a good family.

Summary...Becoming God was not a bed of roses for Lucifer. His relationship with Chloe is over and he finds himself plagued by the feeling he should share the burden of ruling the Universe with someone else. But why does his mind insist on showing him images of him and Michael ruling together? How could Lucifer possibly want his backstabbing, murderous twin at his side?

A trip to Hell will lead Lucifer to make a discovery that will shed new light on Michael’s actions.
