Oh hey look, another one of 'em Chi Kids.

Basic outfits of the Chi Kids, the biological offspring of the Alpha Kids who are raised by the Beta Kids. "Chi" as in "chiropractor" (kye, kai) Zero stabilizer on this.

Time/Space glitchy, warping pheneomena cause a timeline to arise where the Alpha Kids genetic material is crossed and mixed up creating the Chi Kids, before the Alpha Kid babies perish in the meteor lab. Another timeline where the ectobiology process continued as normal has the Beta Kids snatched from that timeline* and brought to the meteor lab where the Chi Kids are and the Alpha Kids are dead. The Beta Kids arrive on Earth in succession, so that they each raise the following Kid from infancy (Jade>Dave>Rose>John).

The Chi Kids then arrive and are raised in the same order from eldest to youngest (Raye raised by Jade, Gema raised by Dave, Andy raised by Rose, and for a short time John, and Ness raised by John).

The genetic parents are as follows:

Jane+Roxy= Andy, They/them. Half siblings are Gema and Ness, raised by half sibling Rose. Not genetically related to Raye.

Jane+Dirk= Gema, She/her. Half siblings are Andy and Raye, raised by half sibling Dave. Not genetically related to Ness.

Jake+Dirk= Raye, He/him. Half siblings are Gema and Ness, raised by half sibling Jade. Not genetically related to Andy.

Jake+Roxy= Ness, She/her. Half siblings are Andy and Raye, raised by half sibling John. Not genetically related to Gema.

I understand if you don’t want to talk about it, but can you give some information on the Chi kids? (i.e personalities, interests, symbols, etc)

Considering I probably won't get to posting more about them I should probably just post what I have so far on them. The tag for reference of everything I've already posted.

Background on the Chi Kids is that some space-time catastrophe occurred on the ectobiology lab on the meteor where the kids were created. Multiple realities meld and mix, diverge and converge until one reality comes into being where the Chi Kids will emerge. On this meteor, all the Alpha Kid babies are deceased, while the Beta Kid babies are alive, along with these four other babies of mixed up heritage. The Chi Kids aren't supposed to exist, yet they do. The coordinates and times for the meteors have also been scrambled a bit, and all the babies are sent back in time as follows:

First Guardian: Arrives billions of years ago on Earth. > Jade: Arrives in 1943, is raised by the First Guardian. > Dave: Arrives in 1959, is raised by Jade and the First Guardian (sorta). > Rose: Arrives in 1975, is raised by Dave, later Jade. > John: Arrives in 1991, is raised by Rose. > Raye : Arrives October 23 2006, is raised by Jade. > Gema : Arrives October 24 2006, is raised by Dave. > Andy : Arrives March 14 2007, is raised by Rose. > Ness : Arrives November 2 2007, is raised by John. The Beta kids raise themselves in succession as teen parents (what could go wrong). Rose runs away from Dave at age 13, eventually finds Jade and the Seer powers awaken more after meeting her. Rose is still raising John when Andy arrives, so for the first seven months of Andy's life, John is there. After Ness arrives, Rose sets up John with a home and tells them to move out.

So, the Chi Kids.

Let's start with Andy Triano. Andy is the etco offspring of Jane and Roxy, and has a mixture of their interests and personality traits. Andy is written as a *insert gender of your choosing here* sort of character, but could be considered simultaneously as agender and transneutral. Andy LOVES their friends, and can have good conversations with all of them. If I had to rank their friendships it would be: Gema, Ness, Raye. Not mentioned in the other post is that Andy also has an adopted little brother, who's three years old. While Andy is very amicable, like any teen with a significantly younger sibling, they can get a bit annoyed with their little brother, but they also feel like it's their duty to spend time with him. Indeed, Andy feels the need to be available to anyone who needs a ear to talk to or a shoulder to cry on, even if they can't offer advice, they will give you their time. Andy is very suspicious of their Mother's (Chi! Rose) past and her secret office. They live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, so they have a Canadian flair to them as well in terms of pop culture awareness and sociability.

Andy's main interests are: Mycology, Aquatic monsters, Spy Fiction, History of obsolete scientific theories, Cats, Violin. Andy's symbol is a sea serpent. Whilst playing the game, their amiability is tempered by their experiences, most notably the fact that their session will be doomed. The responsibility to save their friends is on Andy's shoulders, as the Sylph of Time (and Prospit dreamer). As I so eloquently put it a year ago:

Basically long story short is that Andy, the Sylph of Time, is going to try and go back in time to the Chi Kids origins on the meteor lab. They will try to direct and navigate their team members through into the Beta Kids session, following John onto the battleship and eventually to LOWAS after Game Over and then into the retconned Alpha Kids session to claim their prize so that they can live. They have no Space player and the Chi session is doomed no matter what so they have to get out of dodge, so to speak. They aren't going the Caliborn route with their session either.

Overall, some character / personality traits I would ascribe to Andy are: Positive/Neutral: Amicable, Caring, Considerate, Inquisitive, Impartial, Predictable. Negative: Loquacious, Meddlesome, Passive, Well-meaning.

Next, Gema Kistler: Gema is the ecto offspring of Jane and Dirk. Gema is very different from Andy, and yet she is their closest friend. Gema lives with their Father (Chi! Dave) who's a famous movie guy, who's used many names over the years for his various projects. Dave currently uses the name Strider, but Gema uses Kistler because is was the name Dave used when he made his most embarrassing flops, and she is keen to remind him of that. They have lived all over the world, including: Houston, USA, Los Angeles, USA, Seoul, South Korea, Tokyo, Japan, Sydney, Australia, Madrid, Spain, and currently London, England. Gema lives to spite her father, and from a young age she would run off and disappear. She's not a people person, because she's never stayed in one place long enough to form friendships and bonds. All her friends are in her computer. Ranking her friendships would be: Andy, and then a big drop off between Andy and Raye, then Ness. The intensity of her feelings towards her friends and her ability to form bonds only truly reveal themselves after she enters the game. Gema is an Heir of Blood and Derse dreamer. Gema is also gay and has a crush on Ness, but she doesn't fully comprehend that it's a crush until she enters the game.

Gema's main interests are: Taekwondo, Cooking, Steampunk (Mortal Engines, Airships & Robots), Bionicle, Gardening, Irony, Poetry. Gema's symbol is a steampunk style airship.

Some character / personality traits I would ascribe to Gema are: Positive/Neutral: Athletic, Daring, Dedicated, Proud, Serious, Tough. Negative: Difficult, Graceless, Impatient, Stubborn.

Moving on to Ness Groves. The ecto offspring of Jake and Roxy. Ness has been through a lot, as she is a two time juvenile leukemia survivor. She shares a basement apartment with her Older Brother, John, a comedian and performer, in Tacoma, Washington, USA. Despite her limited circumstances, she's a pretty happy kid. Ness loves to play pretend, whether that's in roleplaying games, or dressing up with her brother. They dress up as all sorts of characters from fiction, their own imagination, and as real people. Over the years, she's been very invested in various fandoms, only to have some drama or something in the plot ruin it completely for her. Ranking her friendships I would put Andy first, then Raye, and lastly Gema, but she loves all her friends! Her symbol I had not yet created, but I was thinking of some sort of cloud raining cyan crystals. Ness is the Mage of Hope, and is a Prospit dreamer.

Ness's main interests are: Fantasy MMORPG's(Runescape) Blue haired ladies (Hatsune Miku, Rei Ayanami, Sailor Mercury, etc), Anime, Cosplay / Dressup, Roleplaying, Playing the Keyboard, 1990's films.

Some character / personality traits I would ascribe to Ness are: Positive/Neutral: Creative, Esthetic, Genuine, Intense, Romantic, Solemn. Negative: Amoral, Childish, Impulsive, Obsessive.

Lastly, our oldest Chi Kid, Raye Yearley. Raye is the ecto offspring of Dirk and Jake. He is raised by his Grandmother (Chi! Jade) on a fictional island about 750km east of the coast of New Zealand's South Island. (46.29759° S, 177.60049° E). It's a rather stark environment, with shrubby trees and bunches of grass. There is also some mysterious devilbeast that basically haunts the grounds around his mansion. Raye has some rather mature interests, ever since he was a young lad. However, he is actually a soft spoken and conscientious person. He is very much into war history, especially all things World War I. Overall, he seems somewhat normal for a guy so into death and destruction. Ranking his friendships I would go: Gema, Andy, and Ness. Raye is a Knight of Rage and a Derse dreamer. After entering the game, Raye takes on a very important role by slapping some sense into everyone. He's the one who makes it clear: we can not win this session, we are doomed. He goes a bit overboard, and he especially has a tenuous relationship with Ness. As for a symbol, probably something artillery related, but mixed with painting supplies. Like, an artillery gun with a paintbrush in it.

Raye's main interests are: Art (Painting), War History, Musicals (1930s-1950s), Skeletons, Philosophy.

Some character / personality traits I would ascribe to Raye are: Positive/Neutral: Clever, Conscientious, Cultured, Enigmatic, Placid, Principled. Negative: Agonizing, Conformist, Grim, Vague.

Chistuck, from the Greek letter Χ (pronounced like chiropractor).

Fankids but genetically descended from the Alpha Kids and raised by the Beta Kids, who in turn have raised themselves. "What the fuck", you ask?

(There's not that much writing below.)

There was a space-time rift of weirdness on the meteor when the young ectobiologist (John) was creating his friends and their parents. Duplicate timelines that merged ended up with the guardian babies all deceased on the meteor, but all the Beta Kids and these weird, never-should-have-existed kids, being sent back in time to yet another different strange Earth.

So, in canon it goes:

Mom+Bro=Dave & Rose, and Nanna+Grandpa=Jade & John.

Here it is all mixed up and genes get crossed, with one kid from each new bond. That means:

Mom+Nanna=Kid, Mom+Grandpa=Kid, Nanna+Bro=Kid, and Bro+Grandpa=Kid.

They are not all related to each other by blood. The Nanna+Mom Kid is not related to the Grandpa+Bro Kid, and the Mom+Grandpa Kid is not related to the Nanna+Bro Kid.

The timing of the meteors has also changed so that the Beta Kids, who act as guardians to these Chi Kids, each raise each other in succession at the tender age of 16, with the exception of Jade who arrives first and is raised by the First Guardian.

I want to, at least for now keep some mystery, so when I refer to "second, third" Chi Kids, I am not referring to their order in the photoset. I am keeping it vague.

Chistuck kids based on my headcanons of my Alpha kids, what their ethnicity would be. I only have a teen Andy sprite right now.

Andy: 1/2 Duwamish, 3/8 Beta Israeli, 1/8 Ashkenazi.

Gema: 1/2 Duwamish, 3/8 White Argentine, 1/8 Chinese.

Raye: 1/2 Lebanese, 3/8 White Argentine, 1/8 Chinese.

The Chi kids have chumhandles / screen names that based off of the letters: PLCN, which refers to Macromolecules; Protein, Lipids, Carbohydrates, Nucleic Acids.

Contrasted to the Beta kids, Alpha kids trolls with GCAT, the nucleobases of DNA: Cytosine, Guanine, Adenine and Thymine.

Here's the relation chart. Green is genetic descent, Red is adoption, Yellow indicates half siblings.

Jade is raised by the First Guardian, who moves from place to place, once a year. She adopts Dave and she takes the name Yearley as her surname. Dave takes various surnames over the years, one of them being Kistler. Dave raises Rose after her meteor arrives. Rose takes the surname Triano. Rose raises John after he arrives, and gives him a different surname, Groves.

Grammy Yearley then raises Raye Yearley after his metoer arrives.

Old Dave Kistler raises Gema Kistler after her meteor arrives.

Rose Triano raises Andy Triano after their meteor arrives.
