A/N: This is part one of two stories that I wrote for @potato-vagina's request; I wanted to show some fun character development with Chishiya pre and post-Borderland. Though you aren't necessarily his "pretty girl" here, you will be.
Find part two here! Proof of Life is a drabble that belongs somewhere between the two parts ❤️
"Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."
That's Murphy's Law - a somber addage that you don't typically allow yourself to subscribe to. Usually, you're too positive of a person for that kind of thing. Today, however, you wish to find whoever Murphy is and curse him out for the shit day you were currently experiencing.
You'd overslept your alarm by thirty minutes, smacking your head off the bedside lamp in your rush to get up and ready. A piece of toast had burnt your hand, you missed the first two trains to get across the city to your nine AM class, and now you were caught in the rain without your umbrella; the item in question without a doubt still leaning forgotten next to the front door.
A shiver wracks through your body as you huddle under the small shelter of the bus stop, rain pelting heavily against the metal overhead. The bus is usually your absolute last choice for transportation, but right now it's the only thing that may still get you to your class on time. Surely your day has to turn around from here, right? You believe in the power of optimism - maybe if you can just focus your mind onto more positive things, the things around you will improve. Right.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spot your bus approaching down the street and rush out of your temporary shelter to flag it down a little madly. You would not be missing the bus too. The driver blessedly pulls over to the side to let you on, but not without first splashing into a massive puddle you hadn't seen before; sending a wave of freezing cold, dirty rain water cascading over your form.
Perfect, just perfect. Now you will be miserable, cold, and wet for the rest of the day. And isn't that just what you needed? Forget the power of optimism. Today is a bad day.
With just three minutes to spare, you finally make it into the sprawling lecture hall, most of your classmates already seated and chattering happily amongst themselves. You toss your bag haphazardly down on the floor beside your seat, flopping into the stiff wooden chair with a long sigh. At least you had gotten your body to class - whether your mind would be capable of focusing on any material was a different question entirely.
Your blonde best friend turns to look at you from the seat next to yours, a smirk growing on his smug face as he takes in your soaked appearance. He raises an eyebrow quizzically, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the laminate table in front of him. Before he can get even a single snide comment out of his mouth, you put a trembling hand up. "Don't. Not today, I'm not in the mood," you mumble in warning, knowing exactly where this conversation would be heading if you didn't nip it in the bud.
Chishiya raises his hands in dramatic mock surrender, blinking slowly at you instead, waiting for you to continue. You always continued.
"I'm having the worst day ever," you lament, rubbing aggressively at your eyes with the heels of your hands and leaning back precariously in your rickety chair; not caring if it suddenly decides to break. That would just be your luck today. He nods, eyes narrowing as he continues to study you. "Seems like it," he deadpans, still tapping, still staring. Making no move to question you further or offer his condolences.
Realistically, you know better than to expect Chishiya to try to comfort you, especially over a series of events so trivial. Though he's been your best friend since starting medical school a few years ago, you don't dare assume he feels more for you than tolerance. That's just who he is, and you'd long ago accepted that from him. Most of all, he is not the sympathetic type.
So when your friend begins calmly packing up the notebooks and pens that had been laid out neatly in front of him, your jaw drops in surprise. Class hadn't even begun yet, let alone finished - where was he going? Your confused eyes rake over his careful movements as he packs up his school bag, willing your brain to catch up with him. Chishiya was always five steps ahead of you, and this time you didn't want him to leave you behind.
"Come with me," he mutters simply, leaving no room for arguing; the man standing from his seat and turning to leave the room. You scramble after him in shock, carelessly looping the strap of your bag over your arm. "Chishiya! We're skipping class? We shouldn't!" you whisper yell as to not attract attention to yourselves sneaking out the back.
He snorts before responding, continuing his smooth walk down the hallway to the exit. "You definitely shouldn't, you need the lecture more than me," he says derisively, not bothering to look back at you, "but one day won't hurt. Probably." You shoot him a glare for his comment, but you can't bring yourself to disagree. This was your worst class, after all, everyone knew that.
Chishiya hesitates a moment before opening the heavy glass door to the outside, looking back at you briefly as if considering something. He sighs, shrugging his beloved jacket off and holding it out to you without another word. Your jaw nearly hits the floor at this display of Chishiya caring about something other than himself, but choose not to comment for fear that it would break the illusion. You hurriedly wrap the soft jacket around you, the man's warmth soaking quickly into your chilled bones. "Thank you," you whisper, almost so quietly you aren't sure he even heard you; but the man nods once and proceeds to exit the building.
You continue your journey together in familiar silence - Chishiya isn't much of a talker even on a good day, and you're still hardly in the mood to beg for conversation from him. So you just follow him. You think you'd follow him to the end of the Earth if he asked you to.
An art museum. Chishiya had brought you to an art museum. To make you feel better? You weren't sure.
The blonde leads you masterfully through various sculptures and paintings, obviously having an exhibit in mind in the large, brightly lit space. When he stops you in front of a painting, you look at him in curiosity. Nearly disbelief. "The Mona Lisa?" you inquire, watching as Chishiya looks up at it almost reverantly, barely breathing.
After a brief moment of silence, he lets out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding. "There's really only been one thing in my life that has ever incited curiosity in me . . ." he begins, tone hushed but steady, "For some reason, the first time I laid eyes upon this painting, I couldn't look away. Still can't," he says with another sharp breath out, something akin to a chuckle for the man. His eyes never once leave the painting to look at you or anywhere else.
"I just wanted someone to understand me back then. I didn't think I'd ever have that from an actual person." He tilts his head now at the painting, as if he were looking at something completely different than he remembered. A comfortable silence blankets over the two of you as your breaths and hearts sync.
You turn to study your friend, seeing him through a different lens in this place - his safe place. His safe place, where he felt understood for the first and maybe only time in his life. His safe place, that he was sharing with you to help you feel better on a bad day. You feel your breath catch in your throat at the realization, that maybe. Just maybe. Chishiya did like you beyond just tolerating your presence. Because why would a man like him ever bother to tolerate a person if he didn't need to? I didn't think I'd ever have that from an actual person. Did he mean . . .?
He leads you to sit on a marbled bench in front of the painting, a place you guessed he'd probably spent a lot of time in his life. You could almost see the ghost of younger Chishiya in the room, searching for something among the colorful strokes of paint. You hope he found it. A wave of calm rushes over you sitting here in the quiet gallery, surrounded by nothing and no one except Chishiya and the Mona Lisa. The small pains of your morning begin to easily melt from your mind, a pleasant warmth radiating through your body despite your clothes and hair still being damp.
Suddenly, things click into place. You get it. Chishiya wasn't expecting to make your day better by showing you the Mona Lisa. He was making your day better by sharing a piece of himself with you. Because you get him. You sigh contentedly, a tiny grin on your face, letting your focus drop briefly into your lap to consider your next move.
After a few more moments of easy silence and introspection, you finally make a bold decision. "Thank you for understanding what I needed today," you whisper, laying your head gingerly against his shoulder with a smile as you follow his gaze back up to study the painting.
You don't see it, but the corners of Chishiya's lips quirk up slightly as his heart skips a beat in his chest. His now enigmatic smile rivals even that of the one he'd studied for years.
Mutual understanding. With you.

Chishiya not knowing how to cuddle at first then turn into someone who expects cuddles all the time is just *chefs kiss*
(Tiny nsfw mention at the end, otherwise fluff)
It took a little while for Chishiya to get why cuddling on the couch was supposed to be a nice thing. The first time that you told him to spread his legs he just raised an eyebrow and went back to his book, but he misjudged your tenacity and soon found himself sitting with you inbetween his legs, your back against his chest, resting your head on his shoulder. You were still in the way of his book, his arms strained trying to hold it up far enough to be able to read. Not to mention how hard it was to concentrate on both reading and the way your hair tickled his cheek, how sweet you smelled, your calm breathing and quiet giggle at the puppy videos on your phone. Your back was warm against him and whenever you shifted to get more comfortable against him he struggled more and more to keep his composure. He refused to give in. He just wanted to read his damn book.
The second time he did spread his legs - no raised eyebrows but what was supposed to seem like an slightly annoyed sigh. You could see right through him and shuffled your way inbetween his legs with a smile on your face.
Eventually he got more comfortable with it and he started actually enjoy having a warm person leaning on him. The first time that you fell asleep like that, curled up with your head on his chest, he couldn’t help but to feel something fluttering in his stomach. He even pressed his lips in a chaste kiss to your forehead. He was suprised by his own action and shook his head, going back to his book, glad that you were asleep and didn’t witness it (or did you pretend to be asleep and cherished that memory forever? Who knows).
He would start to expect you to sit like that. There was a position that let him keep his arm rested while holding up the book in it, he even had it like that when you weren’t around. A pillow was always there just in case. Most times he didn’t even recognize that you plopped down until you asked him what book he was reading or if he wanted to order something to eat. It became a habit so strong that even when you just walked by him, he would spread his legs, prop his arm up and wait for the by now comforting feeling of you crawling up to lean on him. The first time he caught himself doing that he just sat there and stared at his legs, wondering how he fell this deep into to this trap called cuddling. The second time it happend, you sat down next to him instead, skimming through something on your phone and not minding him until you saw him sit and look at you, his arm floating in the air and a look of pure confusion on his face. He had become a puppy and, to his disapproval, his reward was your company. When did he become so soft? He didn’t know if he liked it anymore (he did).
If he was in a mood he would start kissing your neck. Small pecks that made your breath hitch. Whenever you looked back and scolded him for disturbing you he acted innocent - there was nothing more to it than a kiss, don’t get the wrong idea. You would try to get revenge, making sure to wiggle your ass just a little more whenever you moved, running your fingers up his thigh, grinding against him pretending to be uncomfortable. But it had no effect, he was the king of indifference and self control. Until he fucked you senseless later on, making you grind against him just like you did on that couch.

a series of firsts
When you ask Chishiya for a simple favor, neither of you are prepared for what follows. tldr: you ask Chishiya to teach you how to kiss.
genre/notes: fluff, borderline smut, ooc-ish!Chishiya x fem!reader
rating: mature (smut implied but not explicit)
word count: 2k
You weren't sure when you had worked up the courage to ask Chishiya such an outrageous favor. Maybe it was the late nights spent together, both of you perched on the worn-out couch, his arm thrown lazily along the backrest, fingers sometimes brushing against your shoulders in a way that sent shivers down your spine. Or maybe it was those fleeting moments when his gaze lingered on your lips, and you couldn’t help but think – wish, even – that he wanted this too.
It was a quiet evening, and you could feel your heart pounding in your chest as you glanced up at him, his calm expression giving you just enough confidence to take a leap of faith.
“Chishiya,” you started, your voice barely above a whisper, as you fiddled with the hem of your shirt. “Can you teach me how to kiss?”
His eyes flicked up to meet yours, the smallest lift of his brow the only sign of his surprise. For a long second, you thought he might laugh or brush it off as a joke. Instead, he tilted his head to the side, the hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
“You want me to be your first kiss?” he asked, his voice soft yet edged with curiosity.
You punched his shoulder playfully, trying to mask your nerves. “Maybe I just want more practice! What makes you think I haven't kissed anyone?”
Chishiya chuckled, the smile on his face growing. “I know you better than anyone,” he said, his tone teasing but laced with a warmth that made your heart flutter.
You nodded, a blush creeping up your cheeks, unable to meet his gaze for too long. It felt ridiculous, embarrassing, but this was Chishiya – the person you trusted most. There had always been something there between you two, something neither of you dared address until now.
You decided to distract yourself from the growing tension, a teasing smile forming on your lips. "Actually, I've kissed a few people, you know. There was Niragi..."
Chishiya's lips twitched, his response immediate. "Too boring."
You rolled your eyes, continuing, "And then there was Kanato."
"Too short," Chishiya replied dryly, his tone making it clear he wasn't impressed.
"Okay, but what about Yuki? She was—"
"Too much of a know-it-all," Chishiya cut in, shaking his head slightly.
You huffed, crossing your arms over your chest. "You just have something to say about everyone, don't you?"
Chishiya gave you a small, amused smile, his gaze softening. "I just know you better than anyone." You pressed your lips together and averted your eyes.
As the tension hung between you, his gaze softened, and he slowly shifted closer.
“Okay,” he said, and that one word held so many layers. Your eyes widened at his answer, his expression colored with acceptance, understanding, and a promise that this moment would stay between the two of you.
You felt him move closer, his presence warm, the scent of him familiar and comforting. He paused, his eyes meeting yours, and his voice came out in a soft whisper, "Can I touch you?"
You nodded, your breath catching as his hand found its way to your cheek, gently tilting your head towards him. He studied you, his eyes soft, searching yours for hesitation. When he found none, he leaned in, and you closed your eyes, letting the world slip away until it was just him.
His lips met yours softly at first, a brush of warmth that sent a shiver down your spine. He was gentle, deliberate, as though he wanted you to savor every second. Your heart pounded, nerves giving way to an all-consuming warmth as your hands instinctively found the front of his shirt, clinging to him.
Chishiya was careful, patient – letting you find your rhythm. His lips moved against yours, slowly coaxing you to respond. It was sweet at first, like a promise, a reassurance that there was no rush. And then, slowly, you felt the shift. His other hand moved to your waist, pulling you closer, his fingers splayed against your back. The kiss deepened, and a soft sigh escaped you, surprising even yourself.
It was like a spark ignited, and suddenly the air between you two changed. What started out as slow and explorative quickly grew more intense, the hesitancy fading as you both gave in to the want that had simmered for so long.
You pulled away slightly, your breath shaky as you looked into his eyes. "Chishiya, what... what do I do?" you asked, breathless.
“You’re doing amazing,” he sighed with a gentle smile, his thumb brushing your cheek. "Put your hands here," he said, guiding your hands to rest on his shoulders. You followed his lead, feeling the warmth of his skin through the fabric, grounding yourself in the closeness. Slowly, your fingers began to drift, brushing against the side of his neck, feeling the soft skin beneath your touch. He shivered slightly at the sensation, and you hesitated for a moment before your hands came up to gently caress his face, your fingers tracing along his jawline, feeling every detail.
"And what about... my tongue?" you whispered, feeling the blush deepen on your cheeks.
He leaned in, his lips brushing against yours before he spoke. "Follow my lead," he murmured, his voice low and comforting. He tilted his head slightly, and then he demonstrated, his tongue gently parting your lips, coaxing yours to respond. His hand slipped behind your neck, fingers threading into your hair as he deepened the kiss, moving slowly to let you mirror him.
You hesitated for a moment, then tentatively moved your tongue against his, feeling a rush of warmth as he responded with a quiet hum of approval. His hand guided you closer, his lips moving more insistently now, urging you to follow his rhythm. Your fingers tightened around his shirt, the fabric bunching between your knuckles, and you felt him smile slightly against your lips, as if proud of how quickly you were catching on.
His teeth grazed your bottom lip, a gentle nip that made you gasp against his mouth, and his hand slipped lower, cupping your jaw tenderly as if grounding you in the moment. Your heart pounded, heat pooling in your chest as you clung to him, feeling the intensity build between you.
Chishiya’s breath was shaky as he pulled away for just a moment, his forehead resting against yours, his eyes still closed as he whispered, “Is this okay?”
You nodded, unable to find words, your cheeks flushed and your lips tingling. It was more than okay – it was everything you had imagined and more. You leaned in, capturing his lips again, and he responded immediately, a quiet groan escaping him as he pulled you impossibly closer, your bodies pressed together as though to make up for lost time.
His kisses became more urgent, his lips parting against yours, his tongue brushing yours in a way that sent sparks down your spine. You were lost in it, in him – his warmth, the way he held you as if you were the most important thing in his world. You could feel his heartbeat against yours, a steady reminder that this was real, that it was Chishiya who was here with you, giving in to what you both had kept hidden for so long.
And in that moment, you didn’t care about anything else. Not the nerves that had gnawed at you before, not the fear of what this could mean. All that mattered was the warmth of his body pressed against yours, the feeling of his heartbeat steady beneath your palms. The way his fingers threaded into your hair, his lips moving with a desperation that spoke of everything neither of you had ever said. He kissed you like you were the air he needed to breathe, like letting go was simply not an option. His hands began to wander, one sliding down your back, pressing you closer, while the other moved to your waist, his fingers slipping beneath the hem of your shirt, brushing against the bare skin of your side.
A shiver ran through you, the sensation of his touch both electrifying and comforting. He pulled back just slightly, his lips hovering over yours as he looked into your eyes, his gaze dark and filled with emotion. "Do you want to keep going?" he murmured, his voice barely audible, yet filled with a raw intensity that made your heart skip a beat.
You swallowed, nodding, your breath catching as you whispered, "Yes." His lips curved into a small smile, and he leaned in, capturing your lips once more, his kisses growing more heated, more insistent. His hand traveled up your side, fingers grazing your skin, leaving a trail of warmth in their wake. You felt your own hands move, sliding up his neck, your fingers brushing through his hair, tugging him closer.
The world seemed to narrow to just this – his touch, his breath, his body against yours. The way his hand slipped under your shirt, his fingers splaying across your back, pulling you impossibly closer. You could feel his heart pounding against your chest, each beat echoing the intensity of the moment. His lips left yours, trailing along your jaw, down to the sensitive skin of your neck, and you tilted your head, giving him better access, a soft sigh escaping you.
His breath was hot against your skin, his lips gentle yet possessive as he pressed open-mouthed kisses along your neck, his teeth grazing just enough to send shivers down your spine. Your hands tightened in his hair, your body arching into his touch, the warmth between you growing, consuming.
He whispered your name, the sound sending a thrill through you, and then his voice came again, softer, more vulnerable. "You have no idea, do you?" he murmured, his lips brushing against your skin between words. "How long I've wanted this... wanted you."
Your breath hitched, your heart pounding at the confession. You pulled back slightly, just enough to look into his eyes, and you saw it there – the emotion he'd kept hidden for so long. The walls he always put up were gone, leaving nothing but raw honesty. "Chishiya..." you whispered, your voice trembling.
He cupped your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing your cheeks. "I tried to pretend I didn't care, that I could just be your friend. But I can't. I need you... more than anything." His eyes searched yours, a mixture of fear and hope in his gaze. "Tell me you feel the same."
You nodded, tears welling in your eyes as you whispered, "I do. I've always felt the same." A smile broke across his face, and he leaned in, capturing your lips in a kiss that was filled with everything he'd kept locked away – all the love, the longing, the need. It was intense, consuming, and you kissed him back with everything you had, your heart swelling with the overwhelming truth of it all: you loved him, and you always had.
His hands roamed down your body, his fingers tracing the curve of your waist before slipping beneath your shirt, the touch searing against your bare skin. You gasped into his mouth, the sensation both thrilling and comforting as he pulled you closer, as though trying to erase any distance between you. His lips left yours, trailing down your jaw to your neck, where he pressed kisses that were both gentle and possessive, each one drawing a soft moan from your lips.
Chishiya's breath was ragged against your skin, his voice a whisper. "I want you," he murmured, the words sending a shiver down your spine. His hands moved upwards, brushing against your ribs, his thumbs skimming the edge of your bra. He paused, his eyes meeting yours, seeking permission, and you nodded, your heart pounding.
He kissed you again, deeper this time, his hands exploring with a tenderness that made your heart ache. Your own hands moved over his chest, feeling the defined muscles beneath his shirt, before slipping it up, your fingers grazing the warmth of his skin. He broke the kiss just long enough to pull his shirt over his head, tossing it aside before his lips found yours again, more urgent now, more desperate.
You felt his skin against yours, the heat of him enveloping you as his hands moved to your back, unclasping your bra with practiced ease. He pulled away slightly, his forehead resting against yours as he whispered, "You're perfect," his eyes filled with adoration. He slipped your bra off, his gaze never leaving yours, and you could feel the intensity of his desire, the way he looked at you as if you were the only thing that mattered.
His lips found yours once more, his hands now exploring every inch of your bare skin, his touch setting your nerves alight. You were lost in him, in the way he made you feel, every kiss, every caress pushing you further into a haze of warmth and need. His mouth moved down your neck, his teeth grazing your collarbone before he pressed hot, open-mouthed kisses along your chest, his hands holding you as if you were something precious, something he never wanted to let go.
His hands moved lower, tracing every curve, his fingers brushing the waistband of your pants as his lips continued their journey down your body. You arched into him, a soft moan escaping as he paused, his gaze meeting yours again, his eyes filled with an unspoken question. You nodded, your breath coming in shallow gasps, and he gave a small, tender smile before continuing, his hands slipping beneath the fabric, sliding them off slowly, deliberately, his gaze never leaving yours.
His touch was everywhere, his lips following the path his hands traced, leaving you trembling beneath him. The intimacy of it all, the way he looked at you with so much care, made your heart swell, the love and desire blending into something overwhelming. He murmured your name, his voice thick with emotion, and you responded with a whisper of his, your fingers threading through his hair, pulling him closer, needing him in every possible way.
Chishiya's movements were slow, careful, his hands and lips guiding you through every sensation, until there was nothing else – just the two of you, together, everything else fading away. His breath mingled with yours, his body moving with yours as he brought you closer, each touch and kiss filled with a promise, an unspoken vow that this moment was yours, and he was yours, completely.
Afterward, as you both lay tangled together, breaths mingling and hearts still pounding, Chishiya looked at you with a smirk tugging at his lips. "I dropped so many hints, and you missed every single one," he teased, his voice soft but laced with amusement.
You let out a laugh, nudging his side playfully. "You were just as bad!"
He raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Elaborate?"
You rolled your eyes, a playful grin on your face as you propped yourself up on your elbows. "Like that time I kept asking you to help me study for that class I already had an A in, just because I wanted an excuse to spend time with you. Kuina walked in and saw us sitting way too close, and she said, 'If this is your idea of tutoring, Chishiya, you’re not even trying to be subtle.' And you just smirked like it was nothing!"
Chishiya's smile softened, his fingers brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "Maybe I was just waiting for you to say something first."
You shook your head, a smile tugging at your lips. "And here I thought you were supposed to be the genius."
Chishiya smirked, tilting his head slightly. "What about when I made sure we ended up paired together for every group project? Or that time I walked you home in the rain and conveniently 'forgot' my umbrella so you'd have to share yours?"
A flush crept your cheeks. "You did that on purpose?"
"Of course," he said with a soft chuckle, his tone teasing but his gaze warm. Pulling your closer, his lips brushed your forehead. "I guess we were both pretty clueless." He paused, his gaze meeting yours, sincerity shining in his eyes. "But I'm glad we finally figured it out."
You smiled, your heart swelling with affection. "Me too."
And as you lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, you knew that whatever came next, you would face it together–no more doubts, no more hesitations, just the two of you.

❝𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐋!❞ ᯓ★
ー he saves you so you give him head as a thank youuu~~!
pairing ;; chishiya x f! reader
content ;; smut, petnames, praise, hair pulling/tugging,, uuhhh idk. dick. yes.
note ;; i’m so fucking horny for chishiya omG. I LITERALLY JUST FINISHED WATCHING AIB (10/6/24) IM SORRY IM LATEE.. also this is my first uhhh post evevrvrrrr :))))))) thehrheh this is mostly a test and people are probably not gonna read this sooooo~~~ ^_^
also i’m sso in love with nijro and i’m sooooo happy he’s doing better now oml bae had me so stressed i had to redownload tikcock to fucking find updates on him. he’s still my bbg okay idfc what he looks like rn he’s my princess. 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。
♤ after he saved your life in a game you had no idea on how to play, you had to repay him. so you couldn’t wait any longer the moment you both arrived at beach and into a room.
you drag him towards the bed and push it him down from his shoulders, he didn’t even have time to react. just a small gasp and a unchanging expression with his eyebrows slightly raised.
“nngh right there dear…nnfh… chishiya whispered breathlessly, you continue to bop your head up and down, looking up at him as he covered his face with his forearm. “gonna make me cum already baby..” he whimpered, his hand gripping the edge of the bed. “..’ust like that.” his head throwing back a bit.
your pretty mouth licking him off, your hands on his knees. humming and moaning softly on his cock. he’s mostly quiet besides his quiet groans. “mmh, mmff—ggghhn” you gag, trying to continue going fast. the blood splatters on him really added that bit of spice to his now flustered expression.
“shit—! mmgh…” he murmured, “fuck, keep going,” he couldn’t help himself, you felt so good around his dick, your tongue wrapped sloppily. it’s like you’ve been waiting for this moment the entire time. his hips thrusting up, needing to chase that sweet high.
“slow down, yyeah?” his hand suddenly on your head and pushing you down, he lightly tugs on your hair. he wanted you to slow down but you just kept speeding up. his body twitching a little, he was becoming louder. his breathing became more shaky and now both of his hands on your head, pushing down and also tugging. “gonna-…shit- gonna…”
you had to make to make him finish, moving more faster. he couldn’t even get words out from your fast pace.
“gonna—nnghh!”
oh, how good he felt, pushing your head down as your eyes roll back. savoring him. he gasps and finally let’s go of you. he pants softly and gives his usual smug grin. “you’re so good..” his cum spilling in your mouth and down your throat, you promised yourself to swallow everything, not to waste a single drop.
‘thank you for this delicious meal’ you thought as you looked up at him with your big doe eyes that were filled with tears. you swore to make him feel good as payment for your stupidness in a life or death game.

CHISHIYA SHUNTARO X READER (REQUEST)
SUMMARY: chishiya is not very fond of the fact that your habit of flirting with any living being isn't reserved to him and him only.
WARNINGS: fluff, use of y/n once, jealous chishiya, lots of flirting, mentions of drugging someone but it doesn't actually happen, beach arc.
WORD COUNT: 1.1k
"next, y/n is going to enter the..." chishiya abruptly stopped himself in the words to take a moment and stare directly at your eyes. "are you even listening to anything we're saying?"
it was late at night, and kuina was fighting for her life to not pass out on the couch of the random, actually clean room you guys were too lucky to find at the beach hotel. chishiya had been spending a bit too much of his time planning and scheming a way of stealing all the cards gained by the members and successfully getting out of this place he dreaded so much.
too bad for him, and perhaps kuina, who just wanted to spend a good night of rest for once, was disinterested in his meticulous plans, it seemed. instead, your gaze was fixated on his eyes, but it had been like that for the past five minutes, and he couldn't help but grow skeptical of the way you would barely blink.
"your eyes must have distracted me, pretty boy." you couldn't help but let out an inaudible chuckle at the way he just lifted a hand to his temples and sighed, clearly not having the same fun you were.
"that one was your worst," kuina commented on the scene, rolling her eyes. at this point, she was already used to your romantic remarks that surged out of nowhere. "at least for today..."
"it sounds to me you're just jealous." you ended up winking her way. "would you like some attention as well, kuina?"
and that damned smirk stayed on your face for the whole interaction. that was probably it for kuina, consumed by fatigue and a burning headache, she got up, strolling her way to the door. "we aren't doing anything productive anyway."
"you're leaving me here with them?" chishiya asked with a nonchalant voice, clearly not caring whether you would get offended by this or not. he seemed just as tired as kuina, and your childish habits, as he would describe them, weren't of much help.
you couldn't help but feign surprise, your mouth opening agape but somehow still carrying a teasing smirk. you liked where this was going—and messing with people's heads.
"that's on you for arranging our meetings so late at night." and with that, kuina made herself out of the room, looking like she'd pass out in the next five minutes.
you would describe your relationship with these two people as a simple one, apart from the occasional flirting that you decided to randomly add on the most sudden occasions. if you admitted that people hadn't already thought you were cheating on one of them after flirting with a stranger during a game, you would be lying. it turns out you were just good with words, and making people flustered was your forte. what made you so attached to these was probably the fact they would only ignore your constant teasing, which led you to just stick around—surely they could benefit from your manipulation tactics. suddenly you had made up a goal in your mind to get some reaction out of them, especially chishiya, since the guy never seemed to be fazed by anything.
as your face turned back to chishiya, you straight up noticed he didn't look the happiest, instead getting up and grabbing whatever stuff he brought with him.
"where are you going so soon?" there was that demonic voice of yours once again. "also, what did you mean by leaving you alone with me?"
you weren't sure why you kept the innocent talk, knowing both of you knew that wasn't your actual intention. you knew chishiya tried his best to ignore your remarks all the time, but he was growing tired of them. and it seemed the tiredness finally got to him, as if his patience wasn't already running thin.
"that's none of your business." he sourly replied, his back turned to you as he didn't dare to move away. "tatta's probably still awake; you can go and bother him instead of us."
"why are you so mean?" you whined out, relishing the comfort of the couch you were still sitting on. "you would even flirt back when we first met; now you're just grumpy all the time."
"after finding out you do it with everyone, it stopped being fun." you could swear that if he had mumbled a tiny bit lower, you wouldn't have heard what he said. perhaps that was his intention, but you had to thank your captive ears.
a smile only didn't creep up on your face immediately because you needed a moment to actually understand what he said. but as soon as it did, he knew it was over for him.
"chishiya," you jumped from the couch, walking towards him, suddenly forgetting it was way past midnight as you two were having this conversation. "you're jealous!"
even though he wasn't physically turned your way, it was easy to see that he let out the longest sigh just by the movement of his shoulders.
"go to sleep." he was quick to try and get you to lay down, which obviously didn't work as you weren't able to contain your giggles and chuckles upon finding out about this underground information.
he quickly wondered if you had woken up any of the other residents of the beach rooms with all your noises, but was quickly brought away from his thinking line as you abruptly wrapped your arms around his waist and tried to peek at his face through the crook of his neck.
"get off me," he commanded with a more certain voice. you were glad he was too consumed by exhaustion to just push you away, giggling in his ear as if you had just found out the most crucial secret of this damned world.
"no way." he could feel your warm breath on his cheeks, and against his own will, chishiya felt his heart race. "you could have just told me; I'd have reserved my flirting for you and you only!"
chishiya, at a certain point, didn't know if he was supposed to feel flustered, awkward, or tired all at the same time. somehow, he managed to tear you away to get some sleep, as in, away from you. what he was certain of was that you were never seen again flirting with anyone other than the man himself. even kuina felt skeptical of it and how things changed so much after a simple night.
"how come they stopped trying to faze me?" kuina interrogated Chishiya on another day, standing next to chishiya while playing with her dummy cigarette. "not that i miss it, but after last week, they've been weirdly... sane?"
at that, chishiya let out a small chuckle as they both stared endlessly at your back. "i gave them some drugs."
"huh?!"
A/N: aaaah i finally posted something new... i took a little bit of my time to write this bc i didn't want to leave my requests full.... i still have some to get to so i hope u guys are patient ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ also i changed themes bc i can never stick to something for too long, hope u guys liked it !!!

pairing: chishiya shuntaro x gn!reader (no pronouns used) genre: fluff word count: 580
notes: wasn't sure how i wanted to write this so it isn't super romance focused (chishiya's love languages is similar but more romantic), haven't written for aib in a while so sorry if the game doesn't really make sense lol, thank you so much for the request !! i hope you like it <33, not proofread !! pls forgive any mistakes, title from bae173 - annoyed
the air feels sticky against your skin; the night breeze does little to combat against the humid summer air. beside you, aguni crosses his arms across his chest. he lets out an impatient sigh as he leans his head against a white pillar. your eyes scan around the group. your competition.
a businessman nervously fidgets with the cuffs of his suit. beside him, two women stand side by side, clinging onto each other. they whisper softly to each other even though you’re too far away to hear any of their words.
CHISHIYA SHUNTARO nods his head along to a rhythm you can’t hear. his hood has been pulled up over his head, leaving only a few stray strands of blonde hair visible beneath the night sky. when chishiya glances upwards, his gaze meets your own. he smirks softly behind his jacket hood for a few seconds before returning to silently analyzing the other players.
the chime of the announcement system comes as a welcome change. a familiar automated voice plays over speakers you can’t see. “game: tag.”
at first, the minutes tick by without any events. you keep your footsteps quiet as you slip through the stairwell. aguni walks with confidence but you don’t miss the way he subtly sticks closer to the shadows lining the walls. you take the opportunity to slip away, walking through the eerily empty apartment’s halls.
chishiya is already standing near the roof when you arrive. without the jacket’s hood protecting his face, the wind blows stray strands of blonde hair across his face. he leans against the white half-wall, watching the other players wander around from above.
“anything interesting?” you ask, stepping closer to stand beside him. the bricks feel cool against your hands. a thick layer of paint has smoothed out any texture they used to have.
chishiya simply hums. “nothing yet.” he shifts slightly, brushing his shoulder against your own. it’s an otherwise unnoticeable gesture, but it makes your heart skip a beat nonetheless. “does aguni know you’re here?”
you shrug. as the beach grew, it became harder to keep track of each member individually. the games only added to your anonymity, making it easy to slip away from the crowd under the guise of ‘being afraid for your life.’ “does it matter?”
he remains silent. your lives depended on your social skills just as much as your physicality. the beach had only become another challenge, demanding careful navigation and care to survive. aguni was smart enough to survive. he wasn’t vengeful like niragi or observant like ann. he wouldn’t pose any real risk. at least, not while hatter was still in charge.
chishiya glances at you. he shuffles ever so closer, resting his hand just beside your own. the heat from his knuckles is a welcome change from the otherwise cool night air. after a few seconds his hand dips lower, fingers now tugging at the edge of your beach-issued bracelet. chishiya’s fingers run along the braided thread holding it together.
you flinch slightly when yet another round of gunshots echo throughout the apartment. they’re much closer now; you can hear the click of another round being loaded into the chamber. chishiya reaches over, tentatively taking your hand into his own. his thumb runs along the grooves of your knuckles. he doesn’t say anything. he doesn’t need to. the gentle circles he rubs against the back of your hand say more than words ever could. don’t worry. we’ll be home soon.

also could i be 🎶 anon ? i picture myself being very active here from now on... have a nice day!!
Summary: Chishiya can't sleep without you.
Genre: Fluffy
Pairing: Chishiya x gn!reader
Warnings: None! :)
Word count: 784
a/n: Aghhhh i hope this is okay!!!!! That is actually so sweet of you, I'm so glad you've liked my account!!!<3 And ofc you can claim an emoji, hello 🎶!!
Chishiya tried everything to get you into bed with him. He tried seducing you, gaslighting you, and of course his manipulation tactics didn't work either.
All you were focused on was trying to fix the phone from last night's game. It was still on, so you thought it would be easier to get into before it powered off.
Every time he'd call your name, you'd brush him off. Mostly because he always used a certain tone of voice you've become far too familiar with when he tries to get what he wants.
All he wanted to do was kneel at your feet to tell you exactly what he wanted. To tell you he just wanted you to hold him, to tell you all he needed was your attention.
But he couldn't. He never has been able to ask for help, or ask for anything without feeling vulnerable for that matter. He was closed off, that's what people knew about him; that he didn't show those types of emotions in fear of being belittled.
Chishiya could feel his eyelids getting heavy and his eyes burning from keeping them open, but he knew no matter how hard he would toss and turn; he wouldn't be able to sleep without you.
It was pathetic, he'd admit that. It was a loop he found himself getting stuck into, and found there was no way out of it. He hid it pretty well, though. Through late nights where you'd fall asleep alone and wake up to him beside you. You truly had no idea he struggled so much.
He was so tired. He'd do anything if you'd just stop and sleep already.
And he found his last option, the one thing he dreaded the most.
"Y/n?" Chishiya whispered, his voice husky as he climbed out of bed and walked towards you with slow steps.
"What?" You hummed in response, never peeling your eyes away from the task at hand.
"Please," He spoke underneath his breath in an almost incoherent whisper as he stopped to stand beside the chair you sat in.
"I don't know what you want, Chishiya. No one is keeping you awake." You sighed, watching from the corner of your eye as he stood by your side, rubbing his eyes with his palms.
"You're keeping me awake." He murmured, watching your hands as they played around with the device's motherboard.
"How?" You said in defeat, finally turning your attention to him. You looked up at him with your hands thrown in your lap, clearly waiting for his response.
He let out a huff as he looked around the room; avoiding eye contact. When he finally looked at you, his eyes were soft and glassed over.
His next sentence was incoherent.
"What?"
[inaudible]
"Chishiya. Speak up, please." Your words were soft as you stood up from your seat, placing your hands on his upper arms.
"I can't sleep without you." He finally spoke, his words finally registering in your mind.
When he realized you had finally heard him, he felt like he could say anything. And with his new found confidence he continued to speak.
"Why is it so hard to ask you to touch me?" He breathed, letting his head fall onto your shoulder.
You smiled at his soft demeanour. You knew how hard it must've been for him to admit something so close to himself, especially since it was about you. You've found a new side of Chishiya you haven't seen before.
You brought a hand to comb through his hair as the other scratched up and down his bare back, "I'm sorry, Chishiya. I should've just read your mind." You whispered against his shoulder as you held him close to your body.
Your words were an obvious tease, trying to humor the situation at hand. Which did make Chishiya snicker.
"You should have. You've always been able to." He muttered, wrapping his arms lazily around you.
You smiled warmly as he spoke, pulling away to drag his hand towards the bed. You climbed in with him closely behind you. He waited for you to get comfortable, before he joined you under the covers to tangle his limbs with yours.
"I'm proud of you, Chishiya." Your sultry breath hit his forehead as you mumbled against his skin.
He stared down at the way your bodies fit together, processing your words with a smile he knew you couldn't see.
"Now go to sleep, 'm here." You spoke once more into his skin, kissing his forehead and massaging your fingers into his scalp.
His cold fingers danced around your bare skin, trying to bring himself impossibly closer to you before his body fell limp into a night's sleep.

Giving your hand to AIB boys and see what their reaction part 1
Author’s note: Got this idea from tiktok lol
This work includes: All images belong to their respected owners, grammar issues, headcanons, and fluff.
Part 2
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Ryohei Arisu

You were bored at your room while your boyfriend was playing his video games, so you walked into his room while Arisu was too focused on that aspect of progressing game into a victory. Then he noticed you and pause his game, removing his gaming headphones when you gave your hand to him.
At first, he would be very confuse with a big blank stare and he questions why you’re taking your hand out to him. He tilted his head with confusion, like a little puppy as he stares at you.
For a moment, Arisu just caressed your hand with his thumb, then held your guys’ hands together and he sigh. Afterwards, he considered you joining into his game when you sat beside him, then Arisu grab one of his extra controllers and give it to you so that you can play with him.
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Daikichi Karube

When you showed up at his bar, sitting down at the stool while your boyfriend was cleaning the bar table. You were smiling at him to which he adore you so much, he asked of you what drink do you want?
Then he gave your favourite alcohol beverages as you rest your chin on your palm, watching him continue cleaning the bar table and when you wave your hand to Karube and let your hand.
He would be so gentle with you into touching one of your fingers, then slowly held one of your guy’s hands together as he squeeze for a moment, just a gentleman treating his lover.
Then Karube would kissing your knuckles then to your palm, and locked eyes with such gentle intimacy to you as he smiles telling you I love you.
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Segawa Chōta

Your boyfriend was talking to one of his friends, then you came into him as he was waving at you with a big smile.
Chota was looking at you and telling you how are you, just to check on you and showing he really cares about you.
At first when you took your hand out to him, he would be confused then normally high-five so awkwardly or so doing one of your guys’ couple high-fives. But if you attempt to still had your hand out then he would be very confused, just to look at you in the eyes and putting down your hand.
He would kissed your forehead and boop your nose instead, he would laughed at the sight of you and you were a little mad, but you loved him anyways.
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Kōdai Tatta

While you were helping out with your boyfriend, repairing up the car as he underneath the car and asked you to grabbed the tools he was asking.
You pick up the tools for him like the wretch and screw driver, then at that moment when he still asked you. You take your hand out without tools that he was asking of, just your hand without anything holding.
As Tatta felt the softness from your palm then to your fingertips, while his hand was oiled up and dirty as he asked you where’s the tool that he was asking. So, he moved the cart and get up as he wipe off his face, looking at you in confused while staring at your hand.
He glances at you and questions about handing your hand to him, then suddenly he would held your hand and laughs but still is confused.
Tatta puts your hand towards his dirty face, looking at you like a little raccoon grabbing your affectionate attention to him. He just laughs and smiles at you.
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Shuntaro Chishiya

I would say when you were trying to bring your boyfriend’s attention. He would flee away when you were trying to give your hand, just to see his reaction.
Consider that he may have ignore your silly gestures, Chishiya just knew what you’re doing and probably pretend in not knowing it.
No matter how long are you going to attempt to bring his attention, yet you failed but you were so determined to do it everyday.
So every time you approach to him: at the kitchen cooking your meal, busy talking on the phone with Kuina, too busy working at the hospital but had a break time lunch with you, or at the living room sitting down on the couch with his laptop while he was working.
Chishiya just likes to see how long are you gonna tired out of your silly little games. That every time you tried to see his reaction, it always backfires and you would be infuriated.
For a moment, after seeing your reaction as you were walking away, he always thought to himself on where’s the determined lover, who tried to bring his attention in given by their hand? And he would quietly laughed as he was teasing you for so long.
After ignoring your attempts, Chishiya just comes forward to you as he sat beside you in the couch, then grab your hand and kiss it as he hold your hands together into his. But you pout at him as he laughs, kissing you on the cheek, and apologizes while caressing your hand.
══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════
Keiichi Kuzuryū

When Kuzuryū was back from work and you kissed him in the lips, he removed his tie as he came to sat down in the dinning room.
Since you make dinner for tonight as he was eating the meal that you just made, he looked at you and tells your day and how has it been. Kuzuryū hadn’t been spending his time with you, and that he’s been too busy at work all the time.
You think of something coming from your mind as you get off the chair, then you approach to him. At first, Kuzuryū was lifting his eyebrows at you and asked you what are you doing? And that you shouldn’t be finishing your meal.
From you giving your hand out to him, you were smiling at him. But he just stares at you and to your hand that’s in front of him. He was resting his head on to his knuckles, then he gives a stare at you in silence as if he was likely uncertain of what were you trying to do.
Your boyfriend heavily sigh as he clean his lenses for a moment, then he look at you as he slowly held your hand together. Looking at your hand as his gaze softened and slowly smiles at you, he truly missed you so much that he pulled you into his lap. You were surprise as he was wrapping you by the waist, holding on to your hands as he kissed your cheek then to your knuckles. You laughed in clinging your hands around him and hugged him, he hugged you back and tells you that he misses you so much after work.

Caught in the Fall (Chishiya x Reader)
Summary: “You shouldn’t have come back to my room.” - “You didn’t stop me.”
In the deadly chaos of Borderlands, trust is a luxury no one can afford—especially not with someone like Chishiya.
After barely escaping a brutal game, you find yourselves trapped in a crumbling building, forced to share a single threadbare blanket to survive the cold night.
What starts as necessity soon sparks something unexpected—secret kisses, quiet moments, and small acts of care breaking through the walls you’ve both built to survive
Words: 5925
You don’t even know how you ended up in this situation.
One moment you were both buried under a collapsing building, the next you’re cuddling with a person you swore never to be close with.
It wasn’t part of the plan.
Then again, nothing ever is in the Borderland.
The air inside the ruined structure is still thick with dust. Every breath feels like inhaling static—dry and bitter. Outside, the wind howls through the fractured walls, echoing against broken concrete and twisted rebar. The sky’s gone dark, not from nightfall but from the smoke and ash kicked up by the chaos.
And here you are—pressed shoulder to shoulder with him, under a scratchy emergency blanket salvaged from what’s left of a supply box. You’re both bruised and scraped up, the sharp sting of minor injuries flaring with every twitch. Blood crusts on your temple. You’re fairly sure something in your ankle isn’t right. But none of that compares to the surreal reality of being this close to Chishiya.
Shuntaro Chishiya, the infuriatingly brilliant man who rarely speaks unless he’s dissecting your every move. The man who plays games with people’s lives like he’s playing chess in his head. The one who always made it clear—he doesn’t do attachments. Doesn’t trust anyone. Certainly not you.
And yet... here he is. Lying beside you. Sharing body heat. Letting the silence stretch without breaking it.
You glance at him from the corner of your eye.
He’s on his side, facing the ceiling—or what's left of it. His silver hair is dusted with debris, and a thin trail of dried blood runs from the edge of his brow into his hairline. His arms are pulled close to his chest beneath the blanket, and you notice the way his fingers flex every so often, like he's testing for pain without making it obvious.
He’s trying to stay composed. Of course he is.
You shift slightly to ease the pressure on your side, and the movement draws his attention. His eyes slide toward you—calm, analytical, and yet... softer than usual.
He says nothing.
Neither do you.
For a moment, the world is just your breathing, his breathing, and the way the thin blanket does barely anything to keep out the cold seeping in from the broken floor beneath you.
"This wasn’t supposed to happen," you mutter, more to yourself than him.
He’s quiet for a second, then replies, voice low and even: "Neither was surviving that game."
A flicker of something passes through his expression—dry humor, maybe. Or fatigue. Or something he won’t name.
You huff a tired laugh through your nose. “That’s comforting.”
“It wasn’t meant to be.” He shrugs slightly, and you feel the movement through the blanket. “You’re the one who insisted we go back for the injured players.”
You glance down. “And you didn’t stop me.”
“I was curious how far your altruism would get you.” A pause. “Apparently, buried.”
You shoot him a look. “And cuddled.”
He doesn’t smirk—doesn’t even blink. But the faintest crease touches the corner of his mouth. “Unavoidable,” he murmurs. “Unless you’d rather freeze to death.”
You want to say something sharp, something that puts distance between you again. But you don’t. Because the truth is, it is freezing. Your fingers are already numb, and the warmth of his body against yours is the only thing keeping your teeth from chattering.
Still, it’s not just the cold that’s getting to you anymore.
It’s this… strange comfort. This closeness. His heartbeat, steady and human beneath all the armor he wears.
You’ve never seen Chishiya like this—silent, still, not calculating his next move like everyone else is a pawn. Just… being.
And you can’t help but ask, quietly, “Why haven’t you moved away?”
Another beat of silence.
Then, without looking at you, he replies, almost too soft to hear:
"Because... you're warm."
It’s the kind of answer you expect from him. Evasive. Simplified. But underneath it—layered between every carefully chosen word—is something else.
Something real.
And for once, you don’t question it.
You just let the silence stretch again, this time not uncomfortable, not heavy. Just there.
Like him.
Beside you.
You shift slightly under the blanket, feeling the dull ache in your shoulder and the weight of exhaustion finally settling in your limbs. Chishiya is quiet beside you, not asleep but still. Calm in the way only he can manage after everything collapses—literally and otherwise.
The silence brings memories with it, uninvited but not unwelcome.
And before you know it, you’re remembering the first time you saw him.
___________________________________________________________________________
It started simple. Almost forgettable.
A Diamonds game in a dimly lit tower where trust and logic were pitted against each other in equal measure. You worked in silence, scanning patterns on the wall, sorting false clues from real ones. Most players panicked. Some shouted. A few cried.
He didn’t.
You spotted him across the room—silver hair like a slash of moonlight, hands casually tucked into his hoodie pocket as if this whole life-and-death puzzle was mildly annoying rather than terrifying.
He didn’t try to lead. Didn’t bark orders.
He just watched.
Not the game.
The people.
And then he looked at you.
Only for a second. But it was enough. His eyes flicked to where you’d already solved one of the riddles before he had, and for a moment—just a flicker—his mouth quirked upward in the smallest, subtlest twitch of recognition.
You didn’t smile back.
But you didn’t look away either.
___________________________________________________________________________
Days later, you were sitting alone on the floor of an abandoned metro station, legs stretched out, the sting of shrapnel embedded in your calf making your breath catch. You’d just barely escaped a Hearts game that left more bodies than survivors.
He walked in from the far end of the platform, dragging a half-empty backpack, silent as ever. He looked around once, then spotted you. Paused.
No words.
He pulled out a medical kit—clearly from a previous win—and tossed a roll of gauze toward you with a lazy flick of his fingers.
You caught it midair, confused.
Before you could ask, he just said, “I had extras.” Then walked past you like it meant nothing.
You almost let him go. But something inside you—something stubborn—made you dig into your pack the next day and leave a water bottle in his usual spot on the upper balcony of the observatory. You didn’t wait to see if he took it.
But the next time you were out of supplies, you found a protein bar on your bag when you returned from the restroom.
No note.
But you knew.
___________________________________________________________________________
The shift came in a Hearts game.
You were both unlucky enough to get pulled into it. The rules were convoluted—classic psychological manipulation. One player could sabotage the rest, and the only way to win was to figure out who before time ran out.
Everything went sideways.
A panicked player pulled a concealed knife after being accused. Everyone scattered. The room became chaos.
You saw it before Chishiya did—he was focused on decoding something on the wall, the glint of the blade catching your eye just in time. Without thinking, you lunged. Your hand hit his shoulder, and the two of you went down hard.
The blade caught your back. Not deep, but enough to burn.
The pain didn’t register until you saw blood soaking through your shirt. Chishiya blinked up at you, stunned—more by your action than the fall.
You remember the look on his face.
For once, the usual calm calculation was replaced by something else.
Something like disbelief.
He didn't say thank you. Didn't joke. Just tore a piece of his hoodie sleeve and pressed it to the wound, his hands steady even as his jaw clenched.
“You didn’t have to do that,” he said eventually, voice low.
You laughed bitterly. “Neither did you—when you tossed me that gauze.”
He said nothing else.
But when the game ended, and the smoke cleared, he walked beside you the entire way back to the safe zone.
Didn’t ask. Didn’t offer.
He just did.
After that, you never questioned why he kept showing up.
Or why you didn’t mind.
___________________________________________________________________________
Now, lying beside him again, that memory feels closer than it should. You wonder if he’s thinking about it too.
His voice is barely above a whisper when he finally speaks.
“You remember that game?” he asks, like it’s an afterthought. But you can feel the tension in his voice, the careful way he phrases it—as if asking means something.
“The 7 of Hearts?” you ask, keeping your own tone neutral.
A slow nod. “Why did you push me?”
The question hangs in the air.
You swallow, heart ticking just a little faster, surprised he’s asking after all this time.
“I don’t know,” you answer honestly. “Instinct, maybe. Or maybe I just didn’t want to deal with this place without at least one familiar face left in it.”
He hums softly, thoughtful.
Then, a beat later, his voice quieter:
“You could’ve died.”
You let out a breath. “So could you.”
There’s a pause.
Then you feel it—a small shift. His hand, resting between you both under the blanket, brushes against yours. Not intentional. Not overt.
But not accidental either.
You don’t say anything.
And he doesn’t move away.
___________________________________________________________________________
The hours stretch on. You're not sure how long you lie there, pressed against Chishiya beneath the thin blanket, but your body aches less from injury now and more from stillness. Your limbs are stiff. The air has only gotten colder, and you can see your breath in the pale morning light sneaking through the cracks of the broken ceiling.
Neither of you has spoken in a while.
But that’s never made you uncomfortable with him.
Eventually, Chishiya shifts beside you, slow and quiet. His breath hitches, like the movement strains something. You glance over and see him clench his jaw, eyes flicking down to his ribs.
He’s hurt. Worse than he let on.
“You’ve been hiding that,” you say gently.
He doesn’t deny it. “Didn’t seem relevant at the time.”
You sit up slightly, brushing off dust and broken drywall. “It’s relevant now if we’re going to get out of here.”
Chishiya doesn’t argue. Just nods once and watches you with that sharp, observant gaze of his—calculating even in silence.
You crawl to one of the fallen slabs of concrete blocking the doorway. It’s shifted a little since the collapse, probably unstable. You test the edge of it carefully with your fingers. It’s heavier than you expected, but movable. Maybe.
You glance over your shoulder.
He’s already beside you.
“I’ll lift,” he says. “You wedge something under.”
You pause. “You sure?”
He nods, already rolling his sleeves up, teeth grit against the pain. You don’t waste time arguing.
You move in sync—wordless, efficient.
It’s not easy. The slab grinds against the floor with a low groan, and dust rains down from above. Your muscles scream from the strain, and you hear Chishiya suppress a quiet grunt of pain.
But he doesn’t stop.
Not until the slab tips enough for you to wedge a twisted metal pole beneath it. It holds, barely.
There’s just enough space now for the two of you to squeeze through.
“You first,” he says.
You raise a brow. “You're injured. You should go.”
He eyes you, unreadable. “And let you stay behind and do something reckless again? No thanks.”
It’s… the closest thing to concern you’ve heard from him.
You don’t argue. Just crawl through the gap, careful of the jagged edges, until the rubble gives way to open air and biting wind.
Freedom.
You turn to offer your hand—and to your surprise, he takes it.
His grip is warm despite everything. Solid.
You pull him through slowly, his teeth clenched as he drags his body past the debris. He winces when he’s fully out, but the tension in his shoulders loosens once he’s free.
You both sit there for a moment in the grey light of morning. Exhausted. Filthy. Alive.
He exhales, leaning back against a broken concrete pillar, and closes his eyes for a beat. “Well,” he mutters, “that wasn’t ideal.”
You huff out a breath. “And yet, we survived.”
He glances sideways at you, something unreadable in his expression again. “We always do.”
The way he says we doesn’t go unnoticed.
It’s not gratitude. Not affection. Not even a confession.
It’s… acceptance.
Of your presence. Of your place beside him. Of the fact that, somewhere along the way, you stopped being someone he just noticed—and became someone he trusted.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out what looks like a crushed energy bar, snapped in half. Without looking at you, he holds one half out.
You blink. “Is this your idea of breakfast?”
“Unless you want to fight a tiger next,” he replies flatly. “Take it or leave it.”
You take it.
Your fingers brush again—just briefly—and this time, he doesn’t pull away.
And neither do you.
___________________________________________________________________________
The sun begins to dip below the skyline, setting the shattered city in hues of gold and rust.
You’ve both walked for hours, navigating broken roads and hollow buildings. By the time you stumble across the half-collapsed hotel, your body aches in places you didn’t know could ache. Chishiya walks beside you, a little slower than usual—his side must still be bothering him, though he won’t admit it.
The hotel looks unstable, but familiar enough in its decay to be worth the risk.
Inside, the air is stale but dry. The lower floors are ruined, the lobby reduced to cracked tile and broken glass. But upstairs—after climbing past crumbled staircases and stepping over a dead vending machine—you find the jackpot.
Beds. Real ones.
Dusty. Lopsided. But beds nonetheless.
The rooms are mostly intact. There’s even a functioning door that clicks softly shut when you try it. Two rooms side by side. No threats. No other signs of life.
It almost feels like peace.
You spend the next hour scavenging. Chishiya finds a half-full medical box in what used to be a spa room. You dig through supply closets and snag a few protein bars and two bottles of mostly-clear water. One is slightly expired, but Chishiya just shrugs when you point it out.
“We’ve had worse,” he says.
Which is true.
You both return to the room you picked—the one with a window that still opens—and divide the supplies without speaking much. There's no debate over who gets what. No bargaining. Just an easy, automatic understanding.
As the last of the sunlight filters through the dust-streaked glass, you glance over at him.
He’s seated on the edge of the bed now, arms loosely folded, head tilted toward the window. There’s a faint orange glow along his cheekbone, catching in his pale hair, making him look unreal. Like he doesn’t belong in this world.
But somehow, you’ve never felt more grounded.
You break the silence after a long moment. “Do you miss it?”
He turns toward you slowly. “Miss what?”
“Before.” You motion vaguely toward the city. “The real world. Whatever your life was.”
He doesn’t answer right away.
Then: “Not really.”
You blink. “Seriously?”
“There’s nothing to miss,” he says simply. “Most people just survive pretending they’re alive. Here, at least, there’s no illusion.”
You stare at him, unsure what to say to that. The cynicism is pure Chishiya—but something about the way he says it makes your chest ache. Like maybe, despite the indifference in his voice, there's a quiet thread of loss buried under it.
After a pause, he turns the question back at you.
“You?”
You exhale slowly. “Yeah. I miss… having music in the background. Late trains. Stupid things. The smell of clean laundry. Having somewhere to go that wasn’t life or death.”
Chishiya watches you, eyes narrowed slightly. Not mocking. Not judging. Just… listening.
You offer a tired smile. “And I miss sleeping in a bed that doesn’t try to kill me.”
At that, the corner of his mouth twitches.
Progress.
___________________________________________________________________________
Eventually, night settles fully over the ruins.
Chishiya stands up and stretches, moving toward the door to the room next to yours.
“There are two beds this time,” he says lightly, one hand on the doorknob.
You nod, feigning nonchalance. “Yeah. Guess we don’t have to cuddle tonight.”
He pauses—not long, just for a breath. “Guess not.”
The door clicks softly shut behind him.
You lie down in your bed, adjusting the blanket around you. It's not bad. The mattress sinks in just enough to feel something like comfort. The room is quiet, still.
But it's cold.
And it’s worse, somehow, than last night.
You turn onto your side. Then your back. Then your stomach. Nothing helps. Your thoughts churn restlessly.
Last night… was warm. Peaceful, in a way nothing has been for a long time.
You hadn’t planned to fall asleep next to him, but once you were there—wrapped in that makeshift blanket, with the heat of his body close—you’d slept deeper than you had in weeks.
And now?
Now you're just cold and annoyed at your own neediness.
You stare at the cracked ceiling.
You wait ten minutes. Maybe fifteen.
And then, finally—quietly—you rise.
You don’t bother putting on shoes. Just cross the hallway in your socks, listening for any sound from inside his room. You pause with your hand on the doorknob, nerves fluttering in your chest.
Then you turn it.
The door creaks slightly as you open it. The room is dark, lit only by the city glow bleeding through the window. The bed creaks faintly as Chishiya shifts. You can see him clearly enough—propped on one elbow, watching you enter like he expected it.
Maybe he did.
You close the door behind you, slowly, and move toward the bed.
Chishiya doesn’t speak. Doesn’t ask what you’re doing.
He just watches as you lift the blanket and crawl in next to him.
You settle in beside him again, careful not to touch too much. The mattress is smaller than the floor had been. Your shoulders brush. Your legs bump under the blanket.
It’s quiet.
Then, finally, he lifts one eyebrow, dry amusement in his voice.
“Couldn’t resist my charm, huh?”
You snort. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
He hums, then lies back down fully, arm folding behind his head.
You lie beside him in silence. The warmth starts to spread again. Not just from his body—but from the stillness. The peace.
A beat passes.
Then another.
Chishiya speaks again—so softly you almost miss it.
“…You sleep better this way?”
You turn your head, surprised.
His face is turned toward the ceiling. He’s not looking at you.
You hesitate.
Then nod once. “Yeah. I do.”
He doesn’t respond right away. But then his arm shifts. Not touching you—just moving a little closer beneath the blanket.
The space between you shrinks again. Just enough.
You let your eyes drift closed, heart still pounding.
And then, in the dark, you hear him say—so quietly it might’ve been a thought rather than a voice:
“Me too.”
___________________________________________________________________________
You don’t remember falling asleep.
Only the steady rhythm of his breathing.
The warmth that slowly seeped through your skin.
The feeling of being held by silence, not alone in it.
The first thing you notice when you wake is the quiet.
Not the panicked kind. Not the empty kind, either.
Just… peaceful.
Then you notice the second thing: you’re not where you started.
You’re closer to him now.
Somewhere in the night—whether by choice or instinct—you must’ve shifted in your sleep. One of your legs is draped over his, and your head has ended up on his shoulder, nose buried slightly into the soft fabric of his hoodie. One of his hands rests loosely at your back. Not tight. Not holding you there.
But not letting you go, either.
The sunlight filters softly through the broken blinds, casting pale gold lines across the wall, the bed, the sharp line of Chishiya’s jaw.
He’s still asleep.
And that alone surprises you. You didn’t think he could sleep like this. So open. So exposed. But he does — his features slack and unguarded, lips parted slightly in rest. The ever-present edge in him has softened.
For a long, suspended moment, you just watch him.
You don’t want to move. Not because of the comfort — though that’s part of it — but because if you shift too loudly, if you break the spell of morning stillness, you might have to face it.
Face what this has become.
Because this is not nothing anymore.
You close your eyes again. Let yourself stay there. Just for a little longer.
But, as if he can hear the thoughts rattling inside your skull, Chishiya stirs beneath you.
His breath catches lightly, then evens again.
A slow blink. Then two.
He opens his eyes, turns his head slightly toward you, and you feel him go still.
He doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t push you away.
Instead, his fingers flex just slightly against your back — the only sign he’s even registered the intimacy of the position.
And then, of course, in classic Chishiya fashion, he breaks the silence with dry irony.
“…You drooled on me.”
You gasp and lift your head instinctively, already about to deny it—before catching the smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
You scowl. “I did not.”
“Mm. Must’ve been rain, then,” he deadpans, one eyebrow lifting. “From inside the building.”
You groan and shove his shoulder lightly. He allows the push, shifting under you with a soft exhale that’s almost—almost—a laugh.
You move to sit up, but his hand lingers just briefly at your back.
Not to stop you. Just… stays.
And that hesitation—that small, unconscious tether—makes your chest tighten.
When you finally sit upright, swinging your legs over the side of the bed, he follows a beat later, dragging a hand through his hair, still disheveled from sleep. He doesn’t meet your eyes at first.
Neither do you.
But the silence that follows isn’t uncomfortable. Not like before. It’s thicker now, weighted with everything you didn’t say.
After a long moment, Chishiya stands and moves toward the window, peeking through the blinds.
“Still clear,” he says. “We should move soon if we want to get to the Beach by sundown.”
You nod and rise, stretching your sore limbs, still feeling the ghost of where your body had pressed against his.
You glance at him again before leaving the room.
He’s looking out the window, but his voice follows you as you step toward the door.
“…If we find another place like this,” he says, quiet but even, “and there’s only one bed again…”
You turn your head, waiting.
He still doesn’t look at you.
“…I wouldn’t mind sharing.”
Your breath catches.
But you don’t tease him. Don’t ruin it with a joke. Instead, you nod once — small, sincere — and step into the hallway.
He follows after a moment.
And neither of you say another word about it.
But you both know:
It won’t be the last time.
___________________________________________________________________________
The Beach is louder than you remember.
You walk through the gates with aching legs and dirt on your face, but it’s the noise that hits you hardest: laughter, splashing water, music from someone’s half-broken speaker. It feels wrong, somehow—this joy in the middle of hell. But you suppose survival breeds strange coping mechanisms.
Chishiya walks beside you, his hoodie pulled up to shade his face. He doesn’t speak as you pass through the clusters of half-naked strangers. He doesn’t have to. His posture tells you enough: tense, alert, calculating.
As always.
Still, you notice how his shoulder stays just close enough to yours to be deliberate.
A few heads turn as you both pass. Some recognize him. A few glance at you, eyes lingering—noticing the proximity, the silence between you that's less awkward and more… familiar.
Hatter’s not around, but Kuina spots you almost immediately and jogs over, her usual smirk widening as she takes you both in.
“Well well,” she says, sweeping her eyes over you with a grin. “I didn’t think I’d see both of you again. Figured one of you would have murdered the other by now.”
You glance at Chishiya. “Tempting.”
He hums. “You sleep too deeply to be worth the effort.”
Kuina laughs, but her gaze sharpens slightly as she looks between you. She picks up on it. Of course she does. The small shifts. The softer edges.
“So…” she drawls, eyes twinkling. “You two close now, or just sharing body heat to conserve resources?”
You open your mouth to deflect, but Chishiya cuts in first:
“Both.”
Your head whips toward him in shock. His face is unreadable—but his lips twitch ever so slightly, betraying that he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Kuina raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, but lets it go. For now.
___________________________________________________________________________
The Beach is quiet at night.
Too quiet.
You lie on the stiff cot in your assigned room, blankets pulled up to your chin. You stare at the ceiling and pretend the bed feels fine, the air feels warm, and the space beside you doesn’t feel… empty.
You last about fifteen minutes.
Then you're up.
Quiet steps across the hallway.
No shoes. No excuses. No hesitation.
The door to his room creaks slightly as you push it open. He doesn’t turn — doesn’t even flinch — just watches you with that unreadable expression as you pad across the room and crawl into his bed.
You don’t speak. Neither does he.
You slip under the blanket. He shifts slightly, just enough to make space for you without making it obvious that he was waiting.
His shoulder brushes yours again.
It's familiar now — that quiet warmth. That silence that doesn't ask for permission.
You rest your cheek against the curve of his upper arm and exhale softly. “Separate beds are overrated.”
He hums. “So is pretending this means nothing.”
You don’t answer.
Neither does he.
But you both fall asleep faster than you have in days.
__________________________________________________________________________
The next game is a 8 of Diamone — logic, psychology, trust.
And, of course, betrayal.
The room is a maze of mirrors and timers, each choice leading to a countdown, a riddle, or a trap. You and Chishiya are separated halfway through. You can still hear his voice sometimes through the walls — clipped commands, calm assessments, telling others where not to go.
You hold your own. Until you don't.
One wrong answer. One misstep.
You're cornered in a dead-end hallway with a pressure floor and no visible way out. The timer above your head flashes red — 00:09, 00:08 — and you're too far to run.
You freeze.
Then the door behind you bursts open.
Chishiya is there.
His hoodie is soaked with sweat, chest rising with sharp breaths. “Move!” he yells.
You do — not because your body listens, but because his voice cuts through the panic.
He grabs you roughly by the wrist and yanks you into the corridor just as the trap triggers. The door slams shut. There's a thunderous BOOM behind you, and the force knocks you both forward.
Your knees hit the ground hard. He lands beside you, his arm thrown around your back to brace your fall.
The silence after is deafening.
You're alive.
You turn your head, eyes wide. “How did you—?”
“I heard the timer.”
“You were three zones over—”
“I heard it,” he snaps, sharper than you’ve ever heard from him. His voice trembles at the edges.
You stare at him.
His jaw is clenched. His fingers dig into your wrist, too tight to be casual. His breath shakes. Just once.
And that’s when it hits you.
He was scared.
You’ve never seen it before — not like this. Not from him.
His walls don’t crack. They shatter, just for a second, and you see the truth behind them.
You weren’t just another player to him anymore. You were something else. Something dangerous.
Something that could be lost.
__________________________________________________________________________
The door shuts behind you with a soft click, but it’s already too late for silence.
Without a word, your bodies slam together.
Your lips crash hard and hungry against his, urgent and desperate—like you’re trying to make up for all the time lost, the dangers faced, and the unspoken truths hanging between you.
His hands move fast, rough and possessive, gripping your waist and pulling you flush against him with fierce intensity. The fabric of his jacket wrinkles under your fingers as you dig in, anchoring yourself to something solid in the chaos of your racing heart.
His breath is ragged, hot and trembling against your skin, and your own gasps mingle with his in a frantic rhythm.
You’re not gentle. You don’t want gentle. You want raw. Real.
His fingers thread into your hair, tugging you closer, tilting your head with an insistence that makes your pulse spike.
Your arms wrap tight around his neck, fingers curling into the soft hair at the nape, as if holding on is the only thing that might keep you both from falling apart.
There’s no hesitation, no delicate testing — just pure need, spilling out all at once in the rough brush of lips and the sharp bite of teeth.
Your teeth graze his bottom lip, a spark igniting low in his throat as he groans—a deep, guttural sound that vibrates through your chest.
He opens for you, tongue slipping in, claiming and tasting, a silent confession in every movement.
Your body melts into his, the heat between you a sharp contrast to the cool night air drifting through the cracked window. The faint scent of saltwater and sweat and something uniquely him clings to your skin, making the world outside this room vanish completely.
Your heart pounds so hard you’re sure he can hear it, but his hands never loosen their grip, never let you forget that you’re here, real, and not alone.
You push closer, body pressed tight against his, and feel him respond — a low hum of something fierce and guarded.
His jaw is tense under your fingertips, but his hold never falters.
When you break apart, gasping for air, your foreheads press together, breaths mingling, hearts beating out a wild, shaky rhythm.
His dark eyes hold yours — fierce, unreadable, raw with something unspoken.
Neither of you speaks.
Neither needs to.
You just stay there — caught in the fragile, burning silence of a moment that says more than words ever could.
___________________________________________________________________________
The morning light slips through the cracked blinds, casting thin stripes of gold across the floor.
You’re still there, pressed close against Chishiya, the warmth of his body the only shield against the chill in the air.
Neither of you moves for a long time — just breaths, soft and uneven, the silence heavier than the night before.
His hand finds yours, fingers curling around yours almost instinctively, but his gaze stays fixed somewhere past your shoulder.
You squeeze his hand gently, waiting for him to say something — anything — but he doesn’t.
Instead, he shifts, pulling the blanket tighter around you both, anchoring you in the moment without a single word.
When he finally speaks, it’s quiet, rough at the edges.
“Don’t expect this to change anything.”
You meet his eyes, steady now, the ghost of a smile playing on your lips.
“I don’t.”
But you know it already has.
The unspoken promises, the guarded glances, the way his hand lingers a little longer when he thinks you’re not looking—
It’s all there, under the surface, quietly reshaping everything.
And maybe that’s enough.
For now.
___________________________________________________________________________
Even when he said nothing changed, everything had.
He let you into his heart in the smallest ways — the ones no one else could see.
You understood how you two kissed when nobody was looking — quick, secret touches of lips that spoke more than words ever could.
How he let you borrow his hoodie before the harsh games, the fabric hanging oversized on you but carrying his scent like a shield.
How, without a word, he took care of you in quiet ways — a bandage wrapped a little tighter, a glance that said stay close, a hand resting lightly on your back when you didn’t even realize you needed it.
He wasn’t one for grand declarations or easy emotions, but you saw it all in the way he stood a little closer, in the moments he didn’t pull away.
The diamond game had changed something — not in what he said, but in what he showed.
And you knew, no matter how much he tried to hide it, that you’d become something he couldn’t let go.
___________________________________________________________________________
The night is cold and unforgiving, the kind of cold that seeps into your bones no matter how tightly you cling to a threadbare blanket.
The echoes of the King of Spades’ attack still ring in your ears — shouts, frantic footsteps, the sharp crack of gunfire, and the heavy weight of dread pressing down on your chest.
Somehow, you and Chishiya have been separated from the others, finding refuge in a crumbling building that smells of dust and rust.
You don’t speak. Words feel unnecessary.
Instead, you huddle together beneath the single, thin blanket, the chill forcing your bodies closer.
His arms wrap around you, strong and steady, pulling you flush against his chest. The steady beat of his heart beneath your ear is a fragile anchor in the chaos.
You close your eyes, letting yourself be held, the warmth slowly replacing the cold that had settled deep inside.
After a long silence, your voice breaks the quiet — a whisper trembling with something more than fear.
“I… love you.”
Chishiya doesn’t answer right away. Instead, his fingers tighten gently around your shoulder, a silent promise.
When he finally speaks, his voice is low, almost reluctant, but laced with something unmistakably real:
“After this… after Borderlands… meet me.”
His words are simple, but they carry a weight heavier than any confession.
It’s a quiet hope, a promise of something beyond the endless games and death.
You look up, searching his eyes — dark, guarded, but shining with a fragile vulnerability.
He doesn’t say ‘me too,’ but you know what he means.
His quiet invitation says it all: he cares.
He wants more.
And for the first time in this cruel game, you feel a flicker of something that feels like hope.
Wrapped in his arms, with the night pressing close around you, you let yourself believe that maybe — just maybe — there’s a future waiting beyond the Borderlands.
___________________________________________________________________________
The first light of dawn creeps through the cracked windows, softening the shadows in the room.
You’re still nestled against Chishiya, the thin blanket now a fragile shield between you and the cold world outside.
Neither of you speaks—there’s no need.
His quiet invitation to meet after Borderlands lingers in the air, a fragile thread of hope woven between the two of you.
You squeeze his hand gently, a silent vow passing between you — that no matter what the games throw at you, you’ll face it together.
Because in this brutal, unforgiving world, you’ve found something rare.
Something real.
And maybe, just maybe, it’s enough.

Love me not
Chishiya x fem!reader
Part 2
TW: Light smut, cursing.
Summary: You and Chishiya just fuck. Nothing more. You on the other hand, have to battle feelings.. when the executives say you might be useful, you and Chishiya’s dynamic starts to shift…

You and Chishiya have been casually hooking up for a good couple weeks, or months… or years? Time in the Borderlands is a bitch, but it was a while. It was like a reoccurring dream; you’d get in your bed, let him rearrange your guts, the you’d wake up the next morning alone. Casual. No strings attached.
Just what you needed. Wanted. Nothing more.
Okay what the fuck are you thinking? You had a dumb crush on this man. A man who didn’t even stick around long enough for aftercare.
it’s not like he felt the same way, of course. Every time you came back from a game he was in your room, waiting for you. Sitting on your bed casually, hands in his pockets as he stared up at you with those eyes.
Oh those eyes.. they were beautiful to you. The eyes that pretty much made you break down in giggles every time they met yours.
He doesn’t let you stare for long before absolutely ruining you and then disappearing like it’s nothing the morning after.
This was one of those mornings.
You woke up, sighing deeply to another empty bed. Your legs felt like they could give out at any moment, but you ignored it as you got up with a heavy groan-like exhale and a slump of your shoulders.
Your clothes were strewn around the floor, and you picked them up, putting them on one by one.
The funny thing is, you didn’t really care if Chishiya felt the same way as you did. You just cared that you got to fuck with a hot blonde guy.
You put on some shoes, walking out of the hotel room and down the hallway. The noise of the Beach and partying almost never stopped. You went down there only once in a blue moon. It wasn’t your type of place.
You decided after going downstairs and into the lobby that you were going to play a game. Chishiya just got done with you, and you were bored. The games came easy to you anyways, since you were incredibly lucky. You don’t know why, it’s just that every time something bad should happen to you, it bounces off and goes to another person. So it was just fun.
————
The game arena was an abandoned high school. Several people gathered near the entrance, maybe twenty. You were kinda excited up until you saw Chishiya in the crowd.
Oh.
My..
GOD…
He stared at you. His gaze almost as if he was deciding what to do in that moment. His hood was on, hands in his pockets like usual. But his gaze was on you. It made you shift a bit on your feet. He nodded at you, as if to say hello. You awkwardly smiled and nodded back. That was all you could do to keep from breaking down into that giggling mess.
The fuck was happening??? It was just a stare. A stare that he did to everyone, at that.
Then why did it feel so good to have him stare at you?
All thoughts were interrupted by the familiar female robotic voice over the intercom explaining the rules:
GAME: FUSION FACTS
DIFFICULTY: FIVE OF DIAMONDS
Chishiya looked up at one of the intercoms, smirking softly and adjusting his posture, becoming more relaxed.
The voice spoke again..
RULES:
Players must go into one of the classrooms on the second and first floor in groups of two
Players must answer a series of 30 questions, like math, science, and language arts before the timer runs out.
If an incorrect answer is given more than 4 times, that player will be eliminated.
If only one of the two players answer questions, then the non-participating player will be eliminated.
The game will go on until three or four groups finish the questions.
You looked over at Chishiya then back down at the floor when you realized he was staring right back at you.
Groups of two? Shit shit shit shit shit shit-
“Want to team up?”
You looked up and saw Chishiya standing right next to you, his eyes piercing through yours. You gulped quietly, looking at him and standing up a bit more straight.
“I don’t see why not.”
Chishiya nodded, looking back at the doorway.
TIME LIMIT: 1 HOUR, 30 MINUTES
You softly sighed, jumping up and down a bit to get the blood flow going. This should be easy… right? Yeah. All you have to do is ignore the man beside you.. who is also your teammate… and fuck buddy. Easy.
Once the timer started, you ran into one of the classrooms, immediately looking around. You saw a camera in the corner of the classroom, and gave it a dirty look. You saw Chishiya loitering behind you. You went over and shut the door behind him. The classroom had a computer on the teachers desk.
5+2=?
“Easy. Seven.” You spoke aloud, simply typing out the answer on the keyboard. It glowed green before switching to another question.
The powerhouse of the cell is the ________.
“Mitochondria.” Chishiya spoke, leaning over to see the computer in front of you.
“These are fairly easy..” You mumbled, typing in another answer.
What is a hyperbole?
“An over-exaggeration..” You softly spoke as you felt Chishiya’s breath on your neck. You shifted slightly before typing in and getting the question right.
———
Once you and Chishiya finished the game, you both walked out of the high school. You stretched, “That was fairly easy, despite some of the science questions..” You smiled softly, turning around and walking backwards to look at Chishiya. He stared at you, his expression neutral. He followed close behind as you rambled.
You didn’t think he was listening, and he really wasn’t. He had other things on his mind, like how he had to get back in time for an executive meeting.
The Beach. Chishiya was back, and just in time, too. He walked to the executive room, hands in his pocket. He usually didn’t care about the meetings, but he had to attend them.
It was just Hatter rambling about how it was possible to maybe try to find the face cards based on the areas and arenas. Suddenly, Mira spoke up. “Have any of you noticed a girl here? She’s cleared every single game with ease, and has incredible luck. Perhaps she could, I don’t know, help us? Maybe become an executive?”
Chishiya looked up, looking at Mira. “You mean Y/N?” He spoke, narrowing his eyes slightly.
“Oh is that her name? Yes. Do you know her?” Mira perked up, smiling. The other executives kind of stayed silent. Even Niragi, surprisingly. Hatter looked between the two.
“If you do, tell her we’d like her to sit in on some of the meetings, Chishiya.” He ordered, not really leaving room for argument. Chishiya nodded, acknowledging the demand.
Fuck my life. Chishiya thought.
Chishiya walked to your room, opening the door after knocking some. “Y/N.” He stared at her, lying on the bed.
“Hm? Oh Chishiya. What’s up?” You asked. So innocently.. Chishiya wanted to ruin that. Oh so badly. He held himself back.
“For some reason, Hatter thinks you could help find the face cards. You’ll be sitting in on the meetings now.” He said, keeping himself from gritting his teeth.
You nodded. “Alright.. is that all?” You asked, putting down the book you were reading.
Chishiya stared at your legs, then his eyes crawled up your body slowly before staring into the eyes he made roll back so many times already.
“Is there something else to say?”
You softly chuckled, smiling and going back to your book. “Not that I know of.”
———
Of course he had to come back. Of course he did.. he just needed to come back so he could fuck out his little toy. Of course.
It wasn’t any different from the other times you fucked, but he stayed a little longer than normal. His breathing slowed down as you both came down from your high. You both went, what, three? Four? Maybe 7 rounds? But he went hard. Sweaty and honestly exhausted you turned to face the opposite wall away from him, trying to get comfortable.
You felt a hand wrap around your waist. He softly breathed against the nape of your neck, clinging to your body. This was.. new. Weird, but new.. the real question was why it was new. Why was Chishiya still here?
“Don’t expect this again.” Chishiya suddenly shot out, almost like he was nervous of how you’d react. It was quiet for a moment before he got up, got on his clothes and left without another word.
What
the
fuck.
You lied there, still in the same position as he left you, kind of surprised. You eventually got up and did the same, getting on your clothes. You decided to ignore the little gesture, but you couldn’t help but giggle a bit.
———
Chishiya walked down the hallway, suddenly stopping and leaning against the wall.
The fuck did he just do? He grips his chest with one hand, sighing softly to slow his heart beat..
Shit.
A/N: OKAY this is definitely going into multiple parts, expect more soon!!!

Chishiya x reader who experiences a panic attack?
While Chishiya tries to comfort her, he somehow finds out that the reader finds his touch very calming and hugs them.
(Bonus: it happens during Jack of hearts)
♡ Stereotype ♡
Contents: Chishiya x reader, fluff.
Warnings: kinda ooc chishiya, panic attack

When the King of Diamonds game started, your group splitted and lost track of Chishiya and An. You were very worried about it because Chishiya, you and Kuina were together since the beach, but Arisu said that he's sure Chishiya will be alright.
When Usagi, Arisu, Tatta, Kuina, and you arrived to the King of Clubs, there were only 4 bracelets even tho it needed 5 people.
You all looked behind when you heard a voice, it was Niragi with a bracelet.
You and everyone refused to play with Niragi, until Usagi put on a bracelet and conviced everyone, but you.
You decided to go to another game since there were only four bracelets and one person wasn't going to play anyway.
Now you were walking to the Jack of hearts. You could admit it wasn't a great idea since you suffered from panic attacks and hearts games were you had to manipulate people and make them go insane were a big no no for you, but what was the worst that could happen if no one that you knew was going to be there?
You were more about Diamonds game since in those games almost always there was no violence allowed and there was a way for all the players to live.
You still went there since it was the closest Jack game, and going to a Queen or a King alone was not going to end up well for you.
You entered to the Nara prison, where the game was located. You put on the last collar that was on the table and went upstairs.
There was some people around the room, looking at the screen. You didn't see everybody since you were just watching the screen where the rules were being announced.
When they finished explaining the rules, you were a bit worried. How were you gonna find someone that helps you? You decided to look among all the players and see who looks trustworthy.
You were thinking to yourself. 'That girl doesn't give me good vibes, that guy looks too tough, that guy looks too scared, that guy looks like he's gonna die soon and-' That's when you saw him, Chishiya, leaning against a wall and smirking at you.
You walked towards him, smiling.
"Chishiya! You're alive!" You said as you smiled, relieved that you had someone you trusted here.
"You really thought I was gonna die there?" He said with a cocky smile as always.
"Well, the King of Spades can kill anyone-"
"What happened with Tatta, An, Kuina, Usagi, and Arisu? Did they die?" He said, cutting you off.
"Oh, no. We lost An, I don't really know where she is, and me with the others decided to go to the King of Clubs, but it was a 5 person game and Niragi already had one of the bracelets on. I didn't want to play with him so I went here."
"Hmm... How can Niragi still be alive?
"I know, right? I'm honestly starting to believe that guy is immortal." You said, joking.
Chishiya smirks and says. "Let me see your symbol."
You turn around, and he separates your hair to see the symbol. It was a heart.
"It's a heart." He says, and also turns around
"Thank you." You see his symbol, a club. "Club!"
He turned around, facing you again.
"I'm trusting you." He replied with his casual tone
You smiled.
The games passed, people died and no one discovered who the Jack of hearts was.
That's when Enji approached you while you were grabbing a snack.
"Hey... " He said, giving you chills.
"Hi..." You answered, trying to go away, but he grabbed your wrist.
"I see that you trust that guy a lot, don't you? Shuntaro Chishiya..."
"Mhm...?" You said, confused.
"Well, I think he's the Jack of Hearts."
"He's been with me even before the second stage started... I know he isn't."
"Well, you know Jacks, Queens and Kings can also be playing those games, mixing among other players?"
"I know he isn't."
"You can say that, buy you're not entirely sure... Let me tell you your symbol."
He looks at it. It was a spade. "Hmm... Club."
"I don't believe you. Leave me alone!" You said, extremely nervous.
"Die if you want, but dying because you trusted the wrong person is a dumb way to die."
You pushed him out of you way and ran to the bathrooms, scared.
There were only 10 minutes left and Chishiya was looking for you to tell each other their symbol.
You were sat on the floor of the bathroom, your arms around your knees. That guy actually managed to manipulate you and make you doubt Chishiya.
He was right. You saw Mira on the big screens, someone you met face to face, and thought she was a normal player. Maybe Chishiya was also lying and was just using you and Kuina to gain trust from the players, that would explain why he knew what was going to happen at the beach between Aguni and The Hatter, right?
Oh no, you were getting that feeling again. Your heart started beating faster and in an irregular way. You were shaking, you were struggling to breathe normally, and your chest started to hurt.
You heard the door of the bathroom open.
"___, our sym-" He stopped when he saw you on the floor, shaking and struggling to breathe, with a look of extreme fear.
"___?"
"C-chishiya..." You said, completely scared
He kneeled down to your level with a confused face.
"What happened?"
"I'm afraid... Even if I look tough in the exterior, I'm still afraid..." You said, shaking, almost crying.
He was confused. He'd never seen you in that way, so scared and vulnerable.
Suddenly, you hugged him, clinging to him as you cried on his shoulder.
He felt your heart beating really fast, knowing what was happening.
"It's okay..."
Even tho he wasn't exactly a fan of physical contact, he let you hug him and rubbed your back. He knew how much you needed it in this moment.
"Chishiya... Are you really the Jack of hearts?" You said whispering, struggling to talk since you were also struggling to breathe.
He raised an eyebrow. "If I was a wouldn't tell you neither, but I think it's pretty clear I'm not." He said as you hugged him tighter.
"Enji told me the Jack could also be someone who was mixing with other players..."
"And someone as smart as you couldn't notice that he knowing that is suspicious?"
You didn't answer, but his touch helped you to calm down a bit.
"Calm down. You can trust me."
You stayed hugging him.
He was never like this. He would always be cold and distant, but for the first time, you felt him close in an intimate and vulnerable moment.
You didn't want to let go of him. His touch was making you forget about all your fears and calmed you.
But he pulled away
"There's only five minutes left. Your symbol is spade." He said confidently.
You, now calmed, nodded and asked him to turn around. His symbol was a diamond. "Diamond."
You both went to the rooms to tell your symbol. You were a bit scared since Enji and Chishiya told you different symbols, but of course, you were gonna trust Chishiya.
"Spade..."
He never lied. Enji was the Jack. It was obvious...
TYSM FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!
I'll do all the requests, I swear, but just give me time bc I've been very busy lately

Hihi! If you're willing to, would you write something for chishiya based on the song "would you fall in love with me again" from epic? Maybe post-beach, where chishiya is alone and finds out his wife was actually in the borderlands all along
Ghosts of the Past
English is not my first language, so if you find mistakes, feel free to contact me!
A/N: I had never heard of the song or Epic before, and wow!! Their music is amazing! Thanks so much for requesting it and helping me discover it!
Synopsis: In the aftermath of the Beach’s fall, Chishiya wanders the Borderlands alone, haunted by memories of his wife. When he learns she may be in this world as well, he risks everything to find her, determined not to lose the one person he’s always truly loved.
warnings/content: Chishiya x fem!reader, fluff, 3.035 words
The fire had long since gone out, and the Beach was nothing more than ash and silence.
Chishiya sat in a small flat he'd found after the King of Spades destroyed the city. He'd barely escaped the explosion, losing the rest of his small, mismatched group in the chaos. He wandered the streets alone until he stumbled across this place, somewhere to stay for the night.
The weight of something small pressed against his chest beneath the zipper of his jacket. He reached in and pulled it free: a tiny charm, no larger than a coin, threaded onto a fraying string. A silver sakura blossom, scratched and dulled, but still intact.
Still yours.
He turned it over between his fingers like a ritual, as he always did when the silence got too loud.
You'd given it to him for your third anniversary. He remembered you curled in your shared bed, beautifully smiling, telling him, "It'll bring you luck. But only if you believe in it."
He didn't believe in much back then. Not really. Not fate. Not gods. Not luck. But in you.
That's why he'd held onto it every day since arriving in the Borderlands: a silent promise to get back to you, to find his way home. His way to you.
He thumbed the edges of the charm, jaw tight. The morning air carried the scent of smoke and distant blood. He'd always been a man of logic, of analysis, of cold understanding. And yet, you haunted him like a feeling he couldn't shake.
Thoughts of your smile lingered. Your laugh, sharp and sudden. The way you'd call his name when you were annoyed—"Shuntarō," clipped and stubborn.
No one had said his real name in this place.
No one but you, in his memory.
What were you doing now? Were you worried about him? Crying?
Hopefully, you were safe.
Or had this world—this warped reflection of Tokyo—hidden you somewhere too?
He clenched the charm in his fist.
For the first time in a long time, Chishiya wondered what he would do if he saw you again.
If you still wanted him.
If he was still yours.
It had been months, after all. What if you had moved on?
He could hardly bear the thought of it. Time had a way of slipping through his fingers here in the Borderlands, and he wondered how much of it had passed while he was lost in this place, swallowed by the chaos.
Did you think of him? Or had the world you lived in—one that still had hope, that still made sense—erased him from your mind?
What if, in his absence, you'd finally seen everything he wasn't? Everything he couldn't be.
He wasn't affectionate. Never had been. The warmth of touch, the reassurance of words—those things were foreign to him, as much a part of him as the phantom ache in his chest now. He never knew how to give that kind of love, not even when you tried.
There were so many things he hadn't done, so many things he hadn't said, when you were still there with him. Simple things. The things that matter.
Every morning, you'd kiss him goodbye before you left for work, your lips brushing his cheek with the softness of a quiet promise. You'd always say it then: "I love you."
And he?
He'd maybe grunt in response, or offer some half-hearted smile, but that was it. No words to match the weight of what you gave. No reassurance to return your devotion. He could never let himself be vulnerable like that—not even with you.
Now, here, in this place—this nightmare, this twisted mirror of everything he'd known—he found himself wondering if you still loved him at all.
If you even could, knowing the lengths he'd gone to in order to survive. The people he betrayed. The cold, calculated choices he'd made, without a second thought, to secure his own survival, to gain any advantage he could.
Would you still see him as the man you once loved? Or would you look at him as a stranger—someone unrecognizable, someone entirely different from the person you used to know?
A voice crackled on a nearby loudspeaker, announcing a new game: "Jack of Hearts. Participants, please proceed to the designated location."
Chishiya stood and slipped the charm back beneath his jacket.
His fingers curled once more into the shape of something he thought he'd lost.
Then he walked outside into the smoke, toward the game, toward fate.
When he arrived at the designated location, he was greeted by the usual mixed crowd of players. A momentary glance at each face told him everything he needed to know: everyone was just as desperate, just as broken. No one here was looking for redemption. They were looking for a way out.
He moved to the side, quietly observing. His instincts told him to avoid getting too close, not to invest in any alliances. But as the loudspeaker's voice crackled again, announcing the start of the game, he realized he'd already begun to observe one player more than the others.
Ippei. He could be his way to survive in this game about trust—another person to manipulate, another tool to use to ensure his escape.
The boy was nervous, his eyes darting around as if he could feel the weight of every gaze upon him. Shy and clearly out of place, he was easily intimidated, his body stiff with the tension of someone who wasn't made for a world like this. His hands trembled slightly, betraying his fear.
Chishiya studied him for a moment, the realization settling in—this kid wasn't cut out for the Borderlands. It was a brutal world, and that much was obvious.
"How did you survive this long?" Chishiya wondered aloud, his voice laced with quiet curiosity, though there was no sympathy in his tone. The boy flinched at the question, like the mere words had struck a nerve.
The boy hesitated, then spoke in a low, unsure voice. "I was with a girl earlier." His words faltered for a moment, but he pressed on, his gaze flickering to the ground. "She helped me get through a few of the other games. Her last name was... Chishiya."
The name hit him like a slap in the face. His breath caught in his throat, and he turned to Ippei, eyes narrowing.
"What did you say?"
Ippei seemed frightened by the intensity of Chishiya's reaction. He simply shrugged back. "Her name was Chishiya. She had long black hair, a scar on her wrist, and she was fierce. Strong. A fighter."
Chishiya's heart skipped. He could feel his pulse quicken, his mind spinning. He clenched his fists tightly.
"Where is she?" he demanded, his voice sharper than he intended.
"She's... not with me anymore," Ippei said, his gaze dropping for a moment, then looking up at Chishiya. „We got separated when the King of Spade came. But she said she was looking for someone. A man, a doctor... her husband. She said she wouldn't stop looking until she found him."
Chishiya's stomach twisted. His mind was racing.
It could be her. It had to be.
He steadied his breath, forcing himself to remain calm, to maintain his usual detached demeanor. But inside, he felt something stirring—a fierce, desperate hope he hadn't allowed himself to feel for so long.
"She said her husband was important. That she had to find him, that no matter the cost, no matter what it took, she would keep searching."
What if you were here too? The thought struck him like a cold wave, and for the first time in months, he allowed himself to wonder. What if you had been pulled into this world as well? What if, just like him, you were fighting your way through this nightmare, trying to survive?
Chishiya's gaze hardened. He wasn't about to let this slip by. You could still be alive. You were alive. He didn't care about the game anymore. He didn't care about anything except finding you.
"Tell me everything," he said, his voice low but urgent. "Everything you remember about her. Where did you last see her? What did she say? I need to know."
Ippei hesitated, clearly sensing the intensity in Chishiya's voice, but then he nodded, his expression softening. "I'll tell you what I know."
— — — — —
The air felt thick and heavy as Chishiya stepped out of the building, the echoes of screams from the Jack of Hearts still ringing in his ears. The speaker had cracked to announce the end of the game, the chilling finality of it all.
But Ippei's death, his refusal to answer, haunted Chishiya's thoughts. The boy had been too scared, too broken to continue. And now, he was gone. Chishiya had been prepared for it, but it didn't make sense. He should've just hung on a little longer.
His mind, however, was already moving forward. His heart—what little of it he had left in this cruel place—was elsewhere.
You. He had to find you.
The realization had hit him like a storm, and nothing would stop him now. Not the game. Not the other players. Not the horrors of this world.
He knew you better than anyone else.
Even without being the affectionate husband, he had paid attention to you. Every little thing about you, every subtle shift in your mood, every way you moved through your day. He had observed you with a quiet intensity, even when he never said the words you probably needed to hear.
You're not a Hearts player. That much was clear to him. You were too soft, too sweet to play these games of trust and manipulation. You would never throw someone's life away for the sake of your own survival. You always wanted to help people, to believe the best in them, even when it hurt. No, you wouldn't be caught in a Hearts game.
Diamonds? Chishiya shook his head. Sure, you were intelligent. But this was a game of resources, of quick, cold calculations, and he knew you'd hesitate when it came to making tough decisions. In a Diamonds game, you'd be out of your depth. He doubted you would survive long.
Spades? No. He could already see it in his mind—your gentle nature, your aversion to violence, the way you avoided physical conflict in the past. You'd never be the type to enjoy running for your life, dodging bullets, using your body in a constant game of survival. You weren't the "sporty" type, and he couldn't picture you in a Spades game. He knew how grueling it could be to keep up, even for the toughest players.
No, you weren't made for any of the games that relied on pure violence or manipulation. But Chishiya had a feeling you might be in a Clubs game.
He moved swiftly, his mind racing with the possibilities.
Clubs games were different—focused on intellect, strategy, and teamwork.
He had no doubt that if you had been dragged into the Borderlands, you would choose one of those games. You could handle the mental strain. You'd survive on wit, not brute force.
As Chishiya passed the remnants of the broken city, the buildings towering above him like cold giants, his eyes scanned the skies.
The faint shape of airships, moving slowly in the distance, caught his attention. Airships meant games, now he just had to look out for a Clubs sign.
His fingers tightened around the charm beneath his jacket as he quickened his pace.
He wasn't thinking about the risks. He wasn't thinking about the games he might still have to play. His only focus was you. He had to find you.
The Jack of Clubs airship grew larger as he continued walking, the urgency building within him.
He had no time to waste. The longer he waited, the more the chance of finding you alive slipped away. He wasn't about to lose you, not like this. Not after everything.
The remnants of the world around him seemed insignificant now, nothing more than a backdrop to his single goal. He was prepared to do whatever it took to find you, to make sure you were safe. Because in this hellscape, he had nothing left but you.
You were his purpose.
As he neared the game arena, a deep rumble vibrated through the ground. The sound was unmistakable—a violent explosion. His pulse quickened. The airship erupted in a violent cloud of smoke and fire, signaling the end of a game. The Jack of Spades, no doubt, had been defeated. The explosion echoed like a death knell through the abandoned city streets.
Chishiya froze, his breath catching in his throat as the dust settled. His mind raced. He couldn't afford to waste any more time. If you had been part of the game, the explosion meant the end of it. But had you made it out?
A few players began emerging from the wreckage, their movements slow, cautious. Chishiya stayed in the shadows, watching them carefully. Some limped. Others staggered, but none of them were you.
The anxiety gnawed at him, a sinking feeling building in his chest. Was he too late? Had you already been eliminated? Were you in another game? Had you been another casualty in this unforgiving world?
He leaned against a wall, the weight of the past few months crashing down on him. For the briefest moment, he let his guard down.
The reality of it all—the possibility that he might never see you again—was too much to bear.
He closed his eyes, gripping the charm in his jacket, grounding himself.
He had come this far, he couldn't give up now.
Just as the last of the players trickled out of the arena, a final figure stepped through the smoke.
His breath caught again.
There, standing at the edge of the destruction, silhouetted by the haze and the dying light of the explosion, was you.
Chishiya's heart skipped a beat. For a long moment, he couldn't move. Couldn't speak.
His eyes locked on you, taking in every detail, every familiar feature that made you unmistakably, undeniably you. The long black hair, the scar on your wrist, the look in your eyes—tired, but defiant.
You hadn't been eliminated. You were alive.
A surge of relief flooded through him, but it was quickly replaced by a flood of questions, of doubts, of fears.
Did you still love him? After everything this world had taken from both of them? After the way it had changed him, more than he ever thought possible? What if it had changed you just as much?
You looked around as if you were still disoriented by the explosion. Your eyes met his for a split second, and in that instant, everything around him seemed to blur.
His heart raced, pounding in his chest. There was no time for hesitation. He couldn't waste another second.
Without thinking, he stepped out of the shadows, his voice low but urgent.
"Y/N."
You froze, your gaze snapping back to him, recognition flooding your expression. His name—his real name—escaped your lips in a breathless whisper, almost as if you were afraid to believe it.
"Shuntarō…?"
His steps were quick, almost desperate, and he closed the distance between you in seconds. The world around them seemed to slow, fading into nothingness as he reached for you, his eyes never leaving yours.
His fingers brushed against your wrist, feeling the familiar warmth of your skin. For a moment, it felt like nothing had changed. Like this world, this nightmare, had never existed, and it was just the two of you again.
"You're alive." His voice was hoarse, as if the words had been trapped in his chest for far too long.
You stood frozen, your eyes wide, as if unable to fully process his presence.
For a heartbeat, the world seemed to crumble around him once again. Weren't you happy to see him?
The question lingered in his mind, a sharp pang of doubt threatening to claw its way out.
Then, before he could overthink any further, a sob broke the silence—soft, trembling—and in the next instant, you were in his arms, your body pressing against him with an urgency that stole the breath from his lungs. Your arms wrapped around him so tightly that it almost felt as though you were afraid he might disappear if you let go.
"You're here. You're really here…" Your voice cracked, breaking apart as you buried your face in the crook of his neck. The tremor of your breath against his skin told him everything he needed to know.
You had been waiting.
The weight of it hit him, and for the first time in what felt like forever, his own walls cracked, leaving him raw.
His arms wrapped around you instinctively, pulling you closer, holding you like he was afraid to lose you again. "I'm here," he murmured, his voice softer than usual, but no less certain. It was the only answer he could give, the only reassurance he could offer.
"I'm so glad," you whispered, your voice muffled by the fabric of his shirt. "I love you, Shuntarō. It's been so long, these past months… I've been waiting, hoping you were safe. I love you so much. Always."
The words struck him deeper than anything else ever had.
You loved him.
Despite everything. Despite the distance, the uncertainty, the danger of this cursed world. You loved him. And no matter what this nightmare had thrown at him—no matter how far he had fallen, how much he had changed—there was something in him, something he hadn't let himself believe in until now, that told him you would always love him. You would always be there.
For once, he wasn't afraid to be vulnerable. Not when he had you back in his arms, not when you were so firmly anchored in his world again. His voice was barely above a whisper as he pressed his cheek to your hair, his breath catching in his chest.
"I love you too."

You and Chishiya knew each other ever since high school. Being friends by sharing the same interest for the name of science and the power of biology to save those who are in need.
You both worked in the same hospital, him being a doctor while you were a surgeon. You both cross paths many times while walking to your designated area, and both of you having lunches together during breaks.
One day, you both were on your day-offs walking through the streets of Shibuya.
“I need to go to the restroom..” you said to Chishiya with an irritated tone lacing your vice due to the overwhelming amount of people in the crowds of the said street.
“I think there’s one across the road.” Chishiya said while pointing at the building across the crossroad.
“I’ll go there then. You should go the shop and sign in the reservation before we are late.” You said to Chishiya as he response with a nod as you headed across the roads.
As you made it across, you soon see everyone looking at the sky as there were ‘fireworks’? Being set off. Before you could react, the fireworks soon shoots out a flash that blinds you of any vision.
When you opened your eyes, it takes you a while for your eyes to adjust to see your surroundings as the crowds of people were gone, disappeared to thin air. At first, confusion sets in before the panic attacks your mind.
You run around the roads looking for someone,- anyone.
“CHISHIYA!” You yelled out into the open, trying to look for him as you were walking around until the night sets as you soon returned to the middle of the city. You sat there in loneliness figuring out what to do before a light emitted from a huge screen that was supposed to be used for ads.
“What the actual fuck..” you said to yourself as you looked upon a building with a giant screen installed in front of it that was saying ‘WELCOME PLAYERS, THE GAME WILL COMMENCE IN A MOMENT’ before another display popped out that was showing an arrow pointing to east with a text above it saying ‘THIS WAY TO THE GAME ARENA’
Having surviving on your own, playing these games to update your visa. Chishiya hasn’t left your mind, you always wonder is he’s safe. With his brilliant mind, you didn’t doubt his ability to survive.
You had heard rumours of something called ‘The Beach’? A place where people team up to find a way to get out of this hell-hole by collecting the cards. You had figured that to up the chances of surviving, Chishiya would join the Beach.
All you hope is that he is safe, somewhere.
After days surviving this horrid dimension, you still were looking for chishiya. After checking your visa and seeing your amount of days of living is getting low, you decided to go to a game to replenish your visa.
You ended up in a large apartment building and you assumed it was a physical game. Walking through the halls and corridor of the building, you finally found other people. You see a group of teenage-looking boys a middle, aged man and a blonde haired man that you recognised too well.
“Chishiya..?”
“[Name]..”
You both were speechless until Chishiya pulls you away from the crowds view and then pulled you into a very tight embrace.
“Fuck.. [Name], I- where were you?” His words were muffled as his face was nuzzled against your shoulder.
“Tried to find you,.”
“Doesn’t matter now does it? You know what- let’s finish this game quickly, yeah?” he said as he lifts his head up to look at you.
You nod as you soon go to turn and walk back to the crowd of people but gets interrupted by Chishiya holding your hand. You turn to him.
“Let’s stick together, hm?”

Days Blend to One When I'm on the Right Beaches

Paring: Shuntaro Chishiya x Reader
Summary: Who would've guessed Kuina could have such good advice? Okay, maybe Chishiya was the one doing all the work...
Words: 1.5k
Warnings: Maybe swearing? Chishiya is ooc
A/n: Haha, get it? "beaches" I'm so funny
~🍡🍡
You let out a soft breath you didn't know you were holding as Chishiya closes the door behind him, leaving you and Kuina sitting in your bedroom. You hear a playful scoff and turn to Kuina, brows furrowed.
"That was such a forlorn sigh." She says, smirking at you. "You're so hopeless. It's funny." You roll your eyes as she laughs.
"Shut up!" You can't stop the smile from warming your face as you push her playfully. "I am not hopeless! Nor am I sighing longingly or whatever." That results in a snort from Kuina as she shakes her head.
"There's no point in arguing with someone who's clueless, I guess." She can tell you're rolling your eyes again even though she's painting her nails, acting like she isn't totally invested.
"Don't make fun of me! How are you supposed to approach a situation like this? Let alone with Chishiya." You sigh again, looking out the window to the crowded pool of people outside, enjoying the last bit of sunlight before the day ends.
You knew it was a useless crush the minute you got it. He was so monotone all the time. What could you even like about him? He's like a static tv channel or a slice of white bread.
You could say things like that all day, but it never helped. No matter how "boring" you made him sound, you were still head over heels.
"He probably already knows. You're not exactly discreet, and if I can tell, there's no way Chishiya can't." Kuina interrupts your cloud of thoughts, and the idea that Chishiya could just be humoring himself by watching you trip over yourself for him makes you groan and fall back onto your bed.
Kuina sighs, closing her nail polish and looking at you. You stare at your ceiling, distracting yourself.
"This is depressing to watch. Get up." She speaks. You simply grunt in response, acting like a grumpy teenager. She scoffs at you again before grabbing your wrists and dragging you up so you're sitting. "I'm not going to let you suffer any longer, okay? Let me show you how to charm any person you like perfectly."
"I'm not in the mood for a lesson, Kuina. One of the only good things about this place is that I no longer have to go to classes." She just shrugs you off, grabbing a lip-gloss and handing it to you.
"Step one: Be confident! You can't make anyone like you if you don't like yourself first. You're hot! Anybody with eyes can see that!" You smile lightly, applying the lip-gloss casually as she briefly does your hair.
"Does this affect our grade?" You ask, earning another snort from her.
"Yes. Pay attention, because so does attendance." You laugh as she hands you your shoes. "Step two: Know your audience. You can't play hard to get if you're just hard to get rid of. Does your target prefer casual flirting? Boldness? Details, people!" You laugh at her again as she opens the door for you.
"Where are we going? And don't call it a 'target,' I'm not murdering anybody." She huffs a laugh and closes the door behind her.
"You need some fresh air. You're acting like a vampire. Also, I won't call him a target if you don't call him an 'it'." You sigh and walk beside her, looking out the window again. Fresh air really didn't sound that bad, honestly.
"What's step three?" You ask, smiling at her as she rubs her hands together. You laugh as she pulls a mischievous face.
"Step three: Good luck!" You look confused for a minute before you feel her push you outside, closing the door in your face as she shouts a brief apology.
You would be angrier if you hadn't been caught by someone.
You didn't even have to turn around.
You did anyways, though, whipping around as Chishiya let go of your shoulders, raising an eyebrow. "Sorry! Kuina was just- uh- joking around. Where are you going? I assume she's not opening the door anytime soon." You blurt, avoiding eye contact.
He exhales briefly, your best hope for a laugh from him. "It's alright, I was just looking for you." You feel your eyes widen as you try to mask your panic with a smile, looking at him.
"You were? Oh, well, I'm here - uh, now!" You want to slap yourself and hide under your bed. Why were you panicking so much? You had spoken to him countless times. He considers you a friend. It makes it so much worse that he can obviously tell you're on edge. He doesn't say anything about it, though.
"Do you want to head to the rooftop? I know you like watching the sunset sometimes." He asks, tilting his head slightly, looking behind him at the lowering sun. Your face drops in a resting way. You hope you don't look upset.
He knows that?
"You know that?" You ask, trying and failing to hide the smile creeping up on your face. He didn't seem like the sentimental type, and it's not like you explicitly said, 'Hi! I'm in love with you and like sunsets!'
He nods once, looking at you with a calm expression. You smile at that, and you can swear you see his lips twitch, threatening to break into a grin, but you are in a bit of a hazy panic.
You're calming down, anyway, so you walk to the nearby stairway, hearing his footsteps behind you. You open the door and look behind you as he grabs the door for you.
Gentleman!
No, polite.
You turn back, facing forward as you walk up the stairs side-by-side, quietly.
You reach the rooftop just in time to see the sky a pale orange. You hum in contentment, walking to the ledge to throw your legs over it, sitting and watching the sky turn into a watercolor painting.
You feel the air shift beside you as Chishiya sits to your left, watching the sky. You sneak a glance, but you're clearly not fast enough. He manages to catch your eye before you look back to the sky, admiring the reds and blues mixing together.
"What was Kuina teaching you?" He asks, keeping his gaze on the sky as you whip your head around before quickly turning back.
"Nothing important." You say, but you cringe at the crack in your voice. He scoffs and raises an eyebrow, looking at you again. You look to your hands, playing with them and admiring the glow of your skin from the light.
You look to him, unsurprised he's already looking at you, but you struggle to hide your awe of him in the orange cast of the sky. Your lips are slightly parted as your eyes wander his face. When you meet his eyes again, he's smiling a bit. So subtly, you wouldn't notice if you didn't have his face practically memorized.
"You're missing the sunset." He teases, keeping eye contact as your hands begin to move together again.
"I have a better view." You whisper. Where did that come from? You have no clue. Be confident, right? Whatever Kuina said to you, you pray it's working.
He smiles at that. A small, lazy smile as he huffs a breath lightly. "Oh yeah? Probably can't compare to mine, but we don't have to compete." You feel your smile widen as you look to the sunset again, hoping to hide the blush adorning your face.
The sky is painted with greens and purples now, the moment almost over. You sigh comfortably, leaning back on your hands and watching the sky. You see Chishiya turn to look at the sky, and you take the chance to admire him again.
You really have an issue with doing that.
His expression is unreadable, but his lips are slightly curled into a smile ghosting his lips. You hope that means he's content and not him laughing at you.
"You're lucky, you know." He says, his voice a low contrast to your small laugh.
"Yeah? And why is that?" You ask, intrigued. You can see the way his eyes flicker, as if he's contemplating something, something fogging his mind.
"You're interesting. I like to see the way your mind works." That shocks you a bit. Only because that's really a lot coming from Chishiya, and he knows you know that.
"And that makes me lucky?" You scoff lightly, looking to him again. "I didn't realize it was such an honor to be liked by you."
He huffs a small laugh, glancing at you before back to the darkening sky. "I didn't say that, nor did I say I like you." You put a hand on your chest, faux offense on your face.
"Rude. So, you're allowed to read between the lines, but I'm not? Doesn't sound fair, Chishi." You smile, pushing his shoulder lightly. "Are you saying you don't like me, then?"
He stays silent for a moment before looking at you. It's different from the way he usually glances at you, though. His eyes seem almost pleading, like he's worn himself out, but also focused.
He scans your faces, his eyes trailing your face for a minute. You feel exposed now, wanting to shy away into your room again.
"I didn't say that, either." He says, his expression returning to that familiar boredom. You can't help but smile, though.
"So, what do you say?" You whisper. He exhales, and you can feel in fan onto your face, making you notice how close the two of you have gotten. His eyes are half-lidded, looking at you with something you can only beg to call longing, but apparently, being forlorn is something you're not good at. Know your audience.
He doesn't answer you, simply making eye contact, waiting to see how far he can stretch before one of you snaps.
He was sure it wasn't going to be him.
But as you look up at him with those pretty eyes, he can't seem to resist leaning in, feeling your breath hitch.
Milimeters apart, Chishiya finds himself closing the gap between you, softly and briefly kissing you.
His lips are warm and a little chapped, but you weren't going to complain. You flutter your eyes closed before he pulls away, too soon for your taste.
Before anything can be said, you gently grab his jacket, kissing him again, welcoming the warmth in your gut that appears when he reaches up to hold your face in his hand.
Good luck!
This is kinda different from the request, uh, oh, I hope it's okay, though! ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
