I got some anodized titanium scales, and I made them into bracelets! I went for a mixed assortment of colors, so I could see which ones I liked enough to stock. And I in the meantime, I rather like this randomized aesthetic. It reminds me of over-saturated art of the aurora borealis or of galaxies.
I already decided to stock the green, which I posted previously. I’m thinking of also getting the rose/magenta one and the bright teal/purple one. I like the bright, inconsistent colors. The yellow is also pretty nice, but I think I have enough options for yellow as it is.
Anyway, as you could guess, these are up on my Etsy page!

You work with chinmail at all? Do you thinks it's cheating to buy sheets of chainmail and weave(or whatever the proper term for attaching chain to chain) it to make armor instead of doing it ring by ring?
I did chainmail sleeves. It honestly takes too much time to do it by yourself. You are better off buying a full shirt then modifying it. Most chainmail shirts are made by a team of people who know what they are doing, so it saves you months of headache and blistered fingers. There is no cheating in armour making in my opinion, as long as you wear it right.

Playing with bronze again! I like metals that patina and show their age. Though the necklace at top is only like 3 weeks old. Bronze weathers fast, yo.
This weave is called Jens Pind Linkage, and it’s basically a spiral weave made with rings that are too tight (specifically, the gauge of the wire is too big relative to the diameter of the ring) for a normal spiral weave, so the only way to get them to go is to overlap them really carefully, and they end up locked in that position. It’s a fun weave to make, on the thin/delicate end of what I typically like, and wow I’m impressed with whoever it was who figured it out originally.
Anyway, as always it’s up on my Etsy!
