I purchased this white shell from the same vendor as the black shell, but the fit and finish of this shell is inferior. The Y button and the bottom of the D pad is at an angle. Select is barely readable. These cases also have an iffy left shoulder button. If you put the bottom part of the shell on nice and tight, you can't push the left shoulder button anymore. You need to back off on one screw. The black shell was missing the metal piece that the battery cover screws into, and this shell was missing all of the white rubber pieces. Both shells were missing the piece that holds your stylus in place. This shell was missing one screw for the stylus holder. Both shells were missing the screw that holds down the motherboard and the two similar screws that fit under the battery as well as the black Y screw. You will definitely need to scrounge parts from your old shell. The missing rubber pieces presents a problem if you're replacing a different colored shell. An advantage of these shells is that they do away with the three silver Y screws, although sadly there is no replacement for the small black one. Another advantage is that these shells use a larger P#00. They are similar enough to the original Nintendo shells but I'd recommend the original plastic if you can get ahold of it cheaply. Unfortunately, the "broken latch piece" sells for as much as one entire knock off shell. You can definitely just use that one piece from this kit. The bottom screen is incredibly crisp. I use the ifixit.com pry tool to separate the digitizer from the screen. If your bottom screen is good, digitizers run $1.79 each on eBay.
