I am SUCH a proud #plantmom today. Look at these two! Those buds from yesterday evening are all died up & done but the second blooms are just gorgeous this afternoon! I’m so glad I got to see them! The poor little #PeanutCactus that I got as a free swap that’s all stretched & skinny on top has this vibrant red flower! The #cacti from yesterday put on an encore & their buddy #PurpleMoonCactus joined in! I’m not exactly sure what scientific name to call this one anymore. #GymnocalyciumMihanovichiiFriedrichii? #GymnocalyciumMihanovichiiHibotan? #GymnocalyciumMihanovichiiFriedrichiiRubra? #RubyBallCactus? It’s one of those mutant colorful cacti that you see grafted on top of dragonfruit cactus branches but this one actually has some chlorophyll so it can survive on its own roots. And this one is! It bloomed twice last year & it looks like it still has a few buds on it right now.
