We ate a simple but delicious home-cooked meal in the Vietnamese countryside today which consisted of crispy tofu, bitter melon soup, green onion omelette rolls, water spinach, and rice. A Vietnamese woman making incense using a very old and rarely used handmade method. Our trip to Ninh Hòa today was accompanied by Trinh, who taught us so much about Vietnamese life and culture. We had two meals at local Vietnamese homes today, the first one being an amazing selection of sticky rice. Shown here is the Gac fruit which was cooked with some rice to give it an orange color, and sticky rice cooked in banana leaves.
