Back to Basics : Boerewors Rolls
Lets try go simpler this week...
The highlight of preparing this meal was the chilli tomato relish adapted from a Jamie Oliver Chilli tomato jam. This was superb, sticky and loaded with onion and tomato but with a potent fire to it. Calming it down with loads of cooked tomato to call it safe to serve to staff with varying likes of heat.
The wors was Jannie's from Perrdgevale Butchery, known for juiciness and flavour, and made with top class ingredients. The rolls purchased fresh from Acres Spar.
One thing I have learnt today ... don't try get a perfect food shot with a kitchen full of hungry males hanging around like a pack of wolves ... forget the photos for your own safety!!

I did use white onions, add more zing and wasn't thick after 45minutes so added more sugar and a bit of honey.
Beef mince on special as Acres Spar this week, hamburger patties and lasagne ? ... watch this space...
