   so many times he has been asked questions he couldn't, willing or not, give a proper answer to. so many replies died on the tip of his tongue, either with dread or amusement. he likes to watch people fumble to drag words out of his mouth, ones that aren't scathing with sarcasm and a rouse to twist and twirl around the speaker.

   but he could never do that to childe. not when the question sounds so soft, needing honesty from him.

   archons knows why, but something in this man pushes him to be open.

   and it'd be so, so easy, one day, dark digits curling around pale ones, walking side to side back home. there's nothing dutiful in that, there's nothing that tastes like obligation; rescueing childe would pull at the humanity that he has left in him, summon the awe he feels towards the shneznayan like a chant.

   it does sound easy on words, too -- in actions, if childe needed him, he'd rip into anything that parted him from this man bloody murder, anything that tried to separate him from the comfort, from the love, the warmth and devotion he brings. if he wasn't sure before, he is now: kaeya would tear apart the universe, if it dared to swallow him. he would reveal all of his secret weapons and watch the world cower in fear and retract from the bloody, battered form of his lover, exhausted from fighting, if he had to.

   there are things he’d rather not say, not mention the battles they may have to face, in reality, for their relationship -- it’s good to theorize victory, when it’s imaginary. but kaeya has a feel that he’ll have to sink his claws into someone, if he wants the other man to not be dragged away. he’s sure that childe, even with his limitations, would do the same for him. they’re two sinners dancing along their own rhythm, knives in hand and lost in their own little world, unaware of alarmed gazes looking at the uncanny union.

   and if he has, one day, to draw blood, fine by him. it’s dangerous to take something away from a person who has little left.

   and if childe is a sun, falling prey to his emotions but blinding in light, then who’d like to take him down have to break the many, many layers of frost encasing him protectively first. whoever doesn’t look for a spar but to harm this wonderful, joyous man, will have to dive into the abyss first and survive the fall.

   if they dare.

September 29, Katwijk aan de Rijn - Vluchtelingkinderen hebben ook rechten!

Lately there has been much to do about Trump’s policies regarding refugee children, that separates children from their parents and puts them into prison. This policy is outrageous. But refugee children in the Netherlands get treated heartless and cruel by the authorities too. And like in the United States, this is a deliberate policy. To draw attention to the situation of refugee children,Geen Kind aan de Kant (No Child on the Side) organizes a demonstration in Katwijk on the 29th of September. Some one thousand refugee children are living with their parents in so called 'family locations.' The facilities in these family locations are harsh: very small rooms, very low living money, inadequate medical help, strict rules and absurd fines wherein families regularly get cut on their living money. The police regularly raids the family locations early in the morning to transfer families to the family prison in Camp Zeist, the last stage before deportation. In this way children grow up in a constant fear to get deported to a country that they barely know or don’t know at all. On top of that, families regularly get transferred to other family locations. The Netherlands has thus developed an inhumane policy for refugee children that violates the Convention on the Rights of the Childon a daily basis. With this demonstration we want to fight for a just treatment of refugee children and put an end to police raids and the subsequent deportations. We demand an unconditional Children's Pardon, so that refugee children no longer get torn from the life here in the Netherlands, that they’ve build with so much effort. Above all we want to support families that are living in 'family locations' and show them that they are not alone in their struggle. The demonstration will take place in Katwijk on the 29th of September at 14:00. More information about the program and route will follow soon, but make sure to write down the date in your agenda!
