Incumbent will direct, coordinate, plan, and organize information security activities throughout the state of South Carolina. Minimum and Additional Requirements:A bachelor's degree and at least ten (10) years of experience in information security, including application security, business continuity planning, data protection, intrusion detection vulnerability management, network security, data center security, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract or vendor negotiations, with six (6) years in management, including information security planning, scheduling, assignment, or monitoring of staff, budget and resources. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be eligible to obtain and retain a Secret or higher security clearance from appropriate federal authorities. Incumbent may be required to work during emergency or hazardous weather situations.Must have strong working knowledge of government and regulatory agencies' laws and regulations from a security and audit perspective. The candidate will ideally have previous experience preforming a CISO role within a government / secure environment & have as a minimum one of the following Security qualifications; CISMP, CISM or CISSP. The role requires someone who has hands on experience in delivering a security service into a live business as usual blue chip customer/s who can demonstrate they have held responsibility and accountability for all associated security day to day activities on an account/customer they are working for. Job purpose & accountabilities: * The CISO will be responsible for ensuring that all account contractual security requirements are delivered, managing relationships with customers & suppliers at CISO / CTO & executive levels. * Provide & plan strategic direction for the delivery of security, demonstrate significant experience in managing complex security programmes. * Proactively promote & identify security services which enhance the customer service & drive growth, able to translate complex security information into layman's' terms for those that are not conversant with security knowledge & services, * Work closely with our security operations centre & drive through service improvements for our customers & business, * Manage a small security team consisting of two OSM's. * Holistic responsibility for all aspects of security, including technical, operational, procedural, physical, personnel security. * Be fully conversant with Government security classifications. Must have current SC clearance which can be transferred.
