Professionals in Leander, Texas Make the Golf Swing Look So Easy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can not inform you the amount of times I’ve listened to individuals say “the pros make it look so straightforward” or “it looks like the pros are swinging so very easy, yet, they struck it a mile”.  Right here’s an inquiry to all golf enthusiasts out there.  If the pros look like they are making this easy activity, why are you turning up in circles and swinging out of your shoes on every shot?  It makes sense to me that if the very best gamers in the world have an easy, easy activity, you should be trying to duplicate exactly what they are doing.   Regrettably, as much as you desire this basic, simple swing, you can not do it.  Why?  Because easy … is difficult.   Simple is Difficult?
youtube
Want to hit like a pro?  We’ve got a coach for you near Leander, Texas!  Message us on our contact page to change your golf game forever!
Just what do I mean by easy is hard?  Exactly what I mean, is the much less you removal your body in golf, the more challenging it is.  Currently you’re possibly assuming that this just does not make sense.  Everybody recognizes that If you were to relocate much less it would certainly be much easier!   Well if this were the case, you would be seeing every person with wonderful, portable, easy golf swings available and I would have no need to write this idea.  Here are the factors you do not have an easy, simple, compact swing:   1. Humanity   A few ways humanity impacts your swing is that it is informing you that the further you swing back, the further you will strike the ball.  It’s additionally claiming that the more challenging you hit the round, the further it will certainly go.  Both of these thoughts entail your arms and hitting the round hard.  Regrettably, you are only so solid.  If golf was a simply a toughness game, every body building contractor would certainly likewise be a specialist golf player.  Also, if golf was a toughness game, you would have never become aware of Chi Chi Rodriguez, who, in his prime, was just 128 lbs.     Now that you comprehend that you do not need to have a lengthy backswing to produce power, how much should you return?  I tell my trainees that once their shoulder turning stops, so must the club.  You desire the shoulder rotation to identify your backswing length as opposed to your club still returning long after the shoulders have actually stopped.  Initially, this much shorter backswing will seem like you don’t have a lot of power so it will be harder to do, however as you obtain utilized to it, you will quickly see your shots fly equally as far, if not farther, with half the backswing. The sensation of striking the sphere tough needs to be eliminated from your swing in addition to the lengthy backswing. This is due to the fact that tougher you aim to strike the sphere , the tighter your wrists will certainly come to be. If your wrists tighten up, the club will really turn slower and the clubface could be held open at impact creating you to spin the round to the right. In order to understand the appropriate  sensation you should have in your wrists, think of them like a rest on a door. The depend upon a door is loose as well as free moving. There is no resistance.  If you keep your wrists as loosened as a hinge on a door, you will enable the club to whip much faster and make even up with impact. This whipping activity is what provides a pro  tremendous clubhead speed with exactly what resembles an uncomplicated swing. 2. Distance Doesn’t Necessarily Equal Initiative Throughout  your playing golf life, you have related”X”amount of power, with”X”  amount of distance. As an example, if you were to swing actually hard, your mind is claiming  that this ought to produce a really long shot. Sadly, the harder you turn, the much shorter the shot ends up going. As I clarified above, the harder you turn, the tighter you obtain , the a lot more the clubface will strike the ball in an open position. So when I tell you that you ought to swing much easier and also looser, you have to encourage you mind that this is going to generate shots that will go farther compared to in the past. If you do not think me, think back to the moment you hit that a person drive 30-50 lawns further  than any other shot in your life. Just what did you feel when you hit this shot? I bet you said that you felt” absolutely nothing”which it was”uncomplicated.”This means that you can not have turned really hard yet you produced a shot that went further than ever.  The hardest part about swinging effortlessly is that it breaks what your brain is thinking. Your mind is thinking that turning difficult equals even more power and also turning simple equals less power. If you think about the pros, they resemble they  are barley swinging and yet they can hit the ball a lengthy means. So forget about aiming to shatter it as difficult as you can. Swing in control and you will certainly be surprised at just how far you will strike it despite the fact that it doesn’t feel like you are putting any type of initiative into it at all. 3. Much less Motion is A lot more Laborious Now I know you’re drinking your head at this subject since you know for a fact that if you move less it can’t perhaps more exhausting right? Wrong! Relocating less in the golf  swing is a lot more arduous   due to the fact that removaling less creates a tighter, extra curled up swing. To understand what I suggest, consider your backswing. Think of transforming your shoulders back while withstanding the lower body turning. If you did, you would really feel very securely coiled since your hips would certainly move approximately half that of the  shoulders. This limited, curling in the backswing will certainly permit your body to uncoil swiftly in the downswing.  Think about it like a springtime. If you coil up a springtime, it will certainly break back extremely swiftly. Currently think of if you were to turn your shoulders back however this time you lifted your left heel and also turned your hips exceedingly. If you did, you would move greater than if you stood up to with your hips and you would not create this tight, ended up, sensation.  If you are not snugly coiled, you will not uncoil appropriately therefore causing you to use your arms to hit the round. So turning back a lot more is really much less strenuous due to the fact that by turning more, you do not get the exact same limited injury up feeling you get when you resist your hip turning in the backswing. Below’s a re-cap of 4 things you could do to make your swing resemble that of a pro: 1. Reduce up your backswing.  When your shoulders quit, so should your club.2. Keep your wrists looser to permit the club to whip faster.3. Persuade yourself that swinging much easier will certainly hit the sphere further than turning tougher.4.   Resist the lower body rotation to develop a straightforward backswing and also tighter coil. If you  can work on these 4 things, you will certainly start to look like the pros you idolize. The even more you resemble them when you turn, the more you will begin hit it like them when you play.

Cut day drama at Q-School
Round Four Report Simon Khan made the 72-hole cut at Qualifying School Final Stage to keep his dream of a European Tour return alive, with fledgling professionals Adri Arnaus and Robert MacIntyre also producing notable performances after four rounds of the golfing marathon. England’s Khan, a two-time European Tour winner, made the cut on the two under par mark after a three under par round of 68, with 74 players now set to contest the final 36 holes on the Lakes Course at Lumine Golf Club before the top 25 and ties secure Race to Dubai status for 2018. Ahead of him, compatriot Sam Horsfield leads the way on 15 under par, one shot ahead of fellow Englishman Charlie Ford whose seven under par 64 was the round of the day in Tarragona. Meanwhile, Spain’s Arnaus – who only turned professional this week – continued his excellent 2017 form, which already saw him win the Alps Tour’s Order of Merit. The 23 year old reached five under par to comfortably make the cut, one of four Spaniards to do so on home soil, including Gonzalez Fernandez-Castaño – who has fellow seven-time European Tour winner Alvaro Quiros caddying for him this week. Scotland’s MacIntyre was delighted to have secured himself a full Challenge Tour category for next season by making the cut just two months after he represented Great Britain & Ireland at the Walker Cup. Another man happy to have secured Challenge Tour status was Jonathan Thomson, who will become the tallest player on the European Tour if he gets a card this week – standing at 6’9”, the Englishman is now in a share of third place on 12 under par. Player quotes Simon Khan “I gave it everything today. It was one of the toughest days I’ve known and I’ve played really well all week, holed a couple of putts today, and to shoot three under today, I’ve done all I can and I’m quite proud of myself. “There are still 36 holes, a long way to go, and I’m going back a long way now but I remember San Roque in 2001 when I shot a 65 in the fifth round, so it can be done and I’ll try to draw on that – I know what I can do, it’s just about getting the putter a bit warmer. “It’s been a really odd year. It’s been my first time without a full European Tour card for 15 or 16 seasons and you see things from the other side, it’s tough. “Getting calls late, not really knowing your schedule, not knowing what’s going on really. I haven’t had any momentum or felt like I’ve got anything going. “Normally my ball striking is the strongest part of my game and even that hasn’t been there this year, but this week I came out really early and I just started getting it going – I’ve been hitting it probably the best I’ve hit it in a few years actually. It would be great to get a card now and kick on with this next year because I’m feeling good again.” Robert MacIntyre “It has been my goal to make the cut and get on to the Challenge Tour so everything is a bonus from here on in. “The first four days were going to be an absolute grind so I just said to myself ‘if you make the cut you have achieved something’. I am now within touching distance of getting the full card. “I played really well late on in my amateur career but I have actually struggled quite a lot this week. Tee to green I have been really poor but my short game saved me. “When you are having an off-week you need the short game to be there, so with two rounds to go I am just going to see what happens. “This year has been a slow progression. My whole career has been moving in the right direction and this is just the next step.” Adri Arnaus “It has been great season for me. I was really happy with my performances throughout the year on the Alps Tour, where I won the Order of Merit on the last event, but I thought it was a good time to turn pro this week and that here was the best place to do it. “I have been playing really good this week. I have made a couple of mistakes each day, but hopefully I can cut those errors out over the last two days. “I feel that I have a really good chance over the last two days and to get a European Tour card would be very special.” Jonathan Thomson “It was good out there today. I got off to a great start again by holing a few decent putts, but then I made a double bogey at the 13th which knocked my confidence a bit. I just stayed patient though as I knew that I could get a few more coming home. “It has been a really good four days for me. My game has been in decent shape over the last few months so I came here in a very good frame of mind. “The goal at the start of the year was to get off playing on the EuroPro Tour. I have achieved my goal by making the Challenge Tour, but I am now going to push on to try and get on to the European Tour.” Sam Horsfield “I played pretty solid last week at Second Stage and the courses this week have just really suited me. I felt really confident coming in and I feel like my game is in a really good place right now so I just want to keep it going over the next two days. “I haven’t really looked at a leaderboard all week. I left a few out there today – I think I hit 17 greens in regulation so I had a lot of opportunities. I just need to keep doing this over the next two days, make some putts and I will hopefully be alright.” Scores after Round Four: 271 S Horsfield (Eng) 69 68 66 68; 272 C Ford (Eng) 73 69 66 64; 274 J Thomson (Eng) 67 72 68 67; C Blomstrand (Swe) 72 69 67 66; B Evans (Eng) 69 66 68 71; 275 C Syme (Sco) 72 73 63 67; J Janewattananond (Tha) 74 71 65 65; 276 K Broberg (Swe) 70 71 67 68; G Moynihan (Irl) 69 72 67 68; M Baldwin (Eng) 71 69 68 68; 277 J Heath (Eng) 72 68 68 69; J Winther (Den) 67 67 72 71; L Canter (Eng) 71 64 67 75; A Pavan (Ita) 65 68 71 73; 278 P Widegren (Swe) 69 72 68 69; N Geyger (Chi) 67 74 69 68; T Murray (Eng) 70 63 75 70; C Braeunig (Ger) 70 70 67 71; A Hansen (Den) 71 71 69 67; J Kruyswijk (RSA) 71 71 70 66; M Millar (Aus) 74 67 69 68; G Stal (Fra) 64 71 73 70; M Schwab (Aut) 71 69 67 71; M Foster (Eng) 67 72 68 71; 279 H Sturehed (Swe) 67 71 71 70; K Johannessen (Nor) 71 69 67 72; T Lewis (Eng) 75 69 68 67; N Kimsey (Eng) 68 73 70 68; J Quesne (Fra) 69 72 69 69; D Law (Sco) 68 73 70 68; G Fernandez - Castaño (Esp) 72 70 69 68; S Heisele (Ger) 72 67 70 70; J Edfors (Swe) 70 72 70 67; A Knappe (Ger) 69 72 69 69; 280 S Gros (Fra) 70 69 74 67; M Nixon (Eng) 70 71 70 69; P Angles (Esp) 73 70 69 68; R Macintyre (Sco) 67 71 71 71; C Bezuidenhout (RSA) 69 69 72 70; F Aguilar (Chi) 73 70 68 69; Ó Serna (Mex) 68 72 67 73; O Lindell (Fin) 73 71 66 70; J Munro (Aus) 69 71 69 71; S Manley (Wal) 69 68 70 73; 281 R McGowan (Eng) 72 71 68 70; M Schneider (Ger) 68 74 71 68; K Samooja (Fin) 73 69 69 70; A Arnaus (Esp) 70 70 71 70; J Walters (RSA) 75 71 66 69; 282 J Geary (Nzl) 72 71 72 67; M Iten (Sui) 74 70 67 71; H Leon (Chi) 73 72 69 68; M Lafeber (Ned) 68 73 73 68; R McGee (Irl) 72 73 70 67; P Maddy (Eng) 77 68 70 67; P Howard (Eng) 73 66 74 69; L Gagli (Ita) 71 73 66 72; C Lloyd (Eng) 68 71 71 72; 283 S Sharma (Ind) 75 73 68 67; A Hall (Aus) 73 69 70 71; P Mejow (Ger) 69 70 74 70; J Huldahl (Den) 67 75 69 72; E Johansen (Nor) 68 73 72 70; S Tiley (Eng) 72 70 68 73; E Park (Kor) 72 72 66 73; S Vincent (Zim) 72 72 69 70; 284 J Hansen (Den) 72 73 70 69; S Webster (Eng) 69 74 73 68; M Armitage (Eng) 71 71 74 68; A Michael (RSA) 73 71 66 74; A Cañizares (Esp) 73 73 70 68; S Khan (Eng) 72 71 73 68; S Henry (Sco) 78 69 68 69; K Koivu (am) (Fin) 70 70 72 72; 285 M Fenasse (Fra) 73 70 69 73; J Carlsson (Swe) 76 68 72 69; E Ferguson (Sco) 74 70 69 72; M Giles (Aus) 76 66 71 72; M Lundberg (Swe) 74 70 70 71; R Kellett (Sco) 77 67 69 72; Å Nilsson (Swe) 71 69 72 73; 286 R Kakko (Fin) 69 78 70 69; B Easton (RSA) 69 73 75 69; T Cocha (Arg) 74 71 71 70; A Garcia-Heredia (Esp) 76 72 68 70; R Gonzalez (Arg) 71 73 69 73; R Green (Aus) 74 72 69 71; C Nilsson (Swe) 77 70 67 72; M Ford (Eng) 74 72 72 68; G Forrest (Sco) 73 72 71 70; J Rutherford (Eng) 72 72 70 72; E De La Riva (Esp) 73 71 71 71; O Wilson (Eng) 67 74 73 72; 287 C Sharvin (Nir) 74 74 67 72; L Nemecz (Aut) 70 73 72 72; M Jonzon (Swe) 72 73 71 71; E Di Nitto (Ita) 76 70 70 71; T Tree (Eng) 72 72 72 71; D Papadatos (Aus) 71 73 68 75; J Dean (Eng) 69 74 72 72; H Otto (RSA) 70 71 76 70; O Gillberg (am) (Swe) 73 75 67 72; 288 S Gregory (Eng) 73 74 70 71; R Sciot-Siegrist (Fra) 72 75 70 71; A Blyth (Aus) 71 71 73 73; D Huizing (Ned) 73 72 70 73; F Dreier (Den) 72 74 76 66; P Pittayarat (Tha) 70 70 72 76; J Parry (Eng) 70 76 70 72; M Lampert (Ger) 73 72 71 72; N Fasth (Swe) 72 69 75 72; 289 D Brown (Eng) 71 74 73 71; J Van Der Vaart (Ned) 69 74 75 71; J Erkenbeck (USA) 73 73 76 67; J Veerman (USA) 71 70 75 73; M Orrin (Eng) 72 72 71 74; S Dyson (Eng) 77 68 73 71; 290 J Vecchi Fossa (Ita) 67 71 75 77; J Fernandez-Valdes (Arg) 78 70 70 72; N Cullen (Aus) 73 72 72 73; 291 C Doak (Sco) 73 71 74 73; D Foos (Ger) 72 73 73 73; D McElroy (Nir) 74 75 69 73; J Arnoy (Nor) 70 68 76 77; R McEvoy (Eng) 70 78 73 70; J Lima (Por) 74 69 75 73; B Hafthorsson (Isl) 73 72 74 72; 292 F Fritsch (Ger) 75 74 68 75; A Rosaye (Fra) 72 77 71 72; A Rozner (Fra) 69 81 74 68; S Soderberg (Swe) 71 75 74 72; 293 B Ritthammer (Ger) 82 71 70 70; J Stalter (Fra) 70 76 74 73; M Madsen (Den) 77 73 70 73; S Hutsby (Eng) 74 74 75 70; 294 R Enoch (Wal) 74 77 72 71; M Kim (Kor) 76 74 74 70; T Sinnott (Aus) 74 73 77 70; M Trappel (Aut) 73 76 72 73; 295 J Brun (Fra) 72 71 75 77; L Vaisanen (Fin) 77 74 72 72; 296 A Meronk (Pol) 79 72 73 72; R Petersson (Swe) 73 73 68 82; 297 J Sjöholm (Swe) 71 73 75 78; R Dinwiddie (Eng) 73 73 72 79; M Salminen (Fin) 71 72 78 76; 299 D Stewart (Sco) 78 72 69 80

Traveling in California: The Central Coast – Ojai
In our continuing exploration of the California central coast, we take a short trip into the mountains to visit Ojai. Located about 15 miles from the coast and a 90 minute drive from Los Angeles, Ojai is miles away from the fast paced life of its neighbor to the south and has been a retreat for world travelers for over a 100 years. Ojai is situated in a small east-west valley, north of Ventura and east of Santa Barbara at the base of the Topatopa Mountains.
ANCIENT AND OLD TIME OJAI
The Chumash Indians have inhabited the Ojai valley for more than 10,000 years. Ojai derives its name from the Ventureño Chumash word ʼawhaý meaning “moon”. The Chumash believe “that the valley holds mystical powers and that a magnification of energy exists exuding a peaceful sacredness that can be felt. This energy that first drew the Chumash to the valley has been celebrated through the years and many believe today that Ojai is a ‘vortex’ – an unseen force that concentrates energy. Some equate this vortex to the valley’s unusual positioning in the mountain range that runs east to West and that this helps concentrate geological tremors and atmospheric energy. Others point to geology and that the stratified mountain rocks inlaid with quartz can harness energy, transmitting it along the lines of the vortex.” [1]
The area became part of the Rancho Ojai Mexican land grant made to Fernando Tico in 1837, and he established a cattle ranch. Tico sold it in 1853 without much success to prospectors searching for oil. By 1864, the area was settled. [2]
One of the things that make Ojai so charming is that almost all chain stores are restricted in the city. [3] Signage is also regulated. This provides a look of timelessness and serenity that Ojai residents and visitors appreciate. It drives tourism and creates an atmosphere that is becoming unique in our cookie cutter world. If you compare the image below from 1935 to the recent photo of Ojai above, you can detect very little change. Of course the cars are different but the city itself seems frozen in time.
OJAI AND THE HAWAII CONNECTION
Most people associate the great Hawaiian surfing ambassador Duke Kahanamoku exclusively with the islands. However Duke spent a lot of time in Southern California throughout the 1910’s and 1920’s. The Southland was equally charmed with Duke and he made many friends there and was a particular favorite of the movie colony.
In late October of 1922, the prominent Ojai resident Sherman Day Thacher, hosted Duke Kahanamoku at the school that he founded. He had invited Duke to come up from Los Angeles to give a demonstration and swimming instructions to the assembled student body in the Thacher School’s pool. In reality the pool was a crude concrete structure that was used as a fire reservoir. It was filled by a nearby creek and was rather murky and full of algae. Duke braved the elements and put on what I am sure was an amazing exhibition. In the annals of Ojai, Duke’s visit still holds a place of honor. [4] OJAI FARMERS’ MARKET SALAD CRUDO OF PACIFIC YELLOWTAIL BLACK TRUFFLE RISOTTO CABERNET BRAISED SHORT RIB 49 potato fondue, cipollini onion agrodolce, heirloom carrots, black garlic RICOTTA GNOCCHI 20 drake family farms goat cheese, estate lemon, arugula, seasonal vegetables CRUDO OF PACIFIC YELLOWTAIL 21 orange, fennel, hass avocado, california sea salt, extra virgin olive oil
OJAI FESTIVALS
One of the things that makes Ojai so pleasant are the festivals. The Ojai Music Festival (founded in 1947) is an annual festival of performances by some of the world’s top musicians and composers, and occurs on the first weekend after Memorial Day. Notable appearances include Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copland, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Pierre Boulez, who was festival director in 2003. “Curious audiences gather at the Ojai Music Festival each year for a transcendent musical communing in the beautiful Ojai Valley. Every Festival follows the lead of a new music director, accommodating wildly different styles and approaches.” In 2017, the festival is being conducted by Grammy-nominated composer-pianist Vijay Iyer (pronounced “VID-jay EYE-yer”). He is “one of the most interesting and vital young pianists in jazz today,” and has been voted DownBeat Magazine‘s Artist of the Year three times. He is a professor of the arts in the Department of Music at Harvard University. This should make this year’s festival lively and modern.
Its official, June is lavender month in Ojai and the Ojai Valley Lavender Festival kicks off on the 26th of the month. “Libbey Park will once again fill with mellow crowds who come for the marvelous sights, sounds and soothing aromas of the many varieties and textures of lavender and lavender products. Living lavender plants and fresh bouquets abound and vendors never fail to surprise and delight visitors with new and unique wares. Growers and producers offer talks on all things lavender. Live music, delicious food and the smell of lavender weaves a magical enchantment that will turn your day into an unforgettable experience.”
OJAI VALLEY INN AND SPA
The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is “The” place to stay while visiting Ojai. The resort has a long and rich history. “In 1923, Edward Drummond Libbey, a wealthy Ohio glass manufacturer and philanthropist, commissioned California architect Wallace Neff to build the Ojai Country Club in the Spanish Colonial architectural style. From its earliest days, guests felt the Inn was an escape, a sequestered yet sophisticated getaway that gave them the sense of being on their own private country estate. And ever since 1937, when Frank Capra used the sweeping mountain vistas of the valley as Shangri-La in his film Lost Horizon, the valley has become synonymous with mystical beauty and hidden enchantment. A different kind of notoriety distinguished the inn in 1942 when it was transformed into Camp Oak for a military training center for the Army, and later for the U.S. Navy, which used the grounds for a rest and recuperation facility.
“Ever since returning to private ownership in 1947, the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa has played host to countless celebrities from nearby Hollywood and an impressive roster of golf pros who return year after year to play the historic course. In 1999, the acclaimed golf course was restored, which included the return of two “lost” signature holes. In 2004, an extensive renovation was completed which upgraded every corner of the resort while maintaining the historical integrity of the property.”
THE SPA
At the Spa Ojai you can have a very unique healing experience developed at the facility called “Kuyam”. Kuyam is a Chumash Native American Indian word that means “a place to rest together”. This is used to describe a spa treatment that “combines the therapeutic effects of self-applied desert clay infused with essential oils, intense dry heat and inhalation therapy. In a sauna-like environment, the journey is guided by a traditional Chumash narrative. This unique detoxifying experience is concluded with a refreshing rinse and presentation of herbal tea while your body core temperature cools.” The spa uses “freshly-harvested, resort-grown produce and blossoming flowers” in many of “Spa Ojai’s sought-after seasonal treatments”. For a truly relaxing and healing experience spend some time treating yourself to one of their custom packages. And of course lavender will be involved.
GOLF
The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa has one of the best golf courses around. “The world-class Ojai Country Club was one of the first great golf courses in Southern California. Designed and originally built in 1923 under the direction of George C. Thomas, Jr. and Billy Bell, the course was hailed as “a marvel of golfing architecture.” Thomas, who also designed courses at the Riviera, Bel-Air and Los Angeles country clubs, had two initial considerations for the Ojai course: “…that the average golfer could enjoy his round without too great a penalty, and that a test must be afforded requiring the low-handicap man to play fine golf in order to secure pars.”
“In its eight decades, the golf course has been made even more famous by the pros and celebrities who have chosen it for exhibition play and competition. Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Will Smith, Kevin Costner, Michael Douglas and a host of Hollywood stars have visited over the years to play the course. The Inn has hosted seven Senior PGA TOUR events that brought legendary superstars such as Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Tom Weiskopf, Chi Chi Rodriguez and Ben Crenshaw to the course. Add golf to your activities and experience firsthand one of the world’s championship golf courses. Enjoy a challenging and rewarding golfing experience no matter what your level of play. The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa has been selected for membership in Great Golf Resorts of the World.”
CUISINE
“For more than ninety years, The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa has maintained a connection to locally grown food. Its signature restaurant, Olivella represents the epitome of this sense of place. Olivella’s valley-to-table culinary program is supported by the local Ojai valleys, ranches, orchards, farms and ocean waters. The restaurant embraces the seasonal whims of the region, focusing on the bounty of year-round produce provided by the California Central Coast. Chef Andrea Rodella is proud to present a dining experience featuring the best ingredients of California with dishes and techniques inspired by his Italian heritage.” The menu features such delights as the Ojai Farmers Market Salad; Crudo of Pacific Yellowtail with orange, fennel, Hass avocado, California sea salt and extra virgin olive oil; Cabernet Braised Short Ribs with potato fondue, cipollini onion agrodolce, heirloom carrots and black garlic; Ricotta Gnocchi with Drake Family Farms goat cheese, estate lemon, arugula and seasonal vegetables.  Chef Rodella was born and raised in Guastalla, Italy. He is passionate about cooking with seasonal, market-driven ingredients.Chef Rodella’s interest in cooking started at a young age, when his passion for discovering different cuisines collided with the northern Italian fare he was raised on. He was determined to learn how to cook with fresh ingredients, uniting tradition with innovation.” This provides the traveller with a unique and delicious dining experience.
The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is a destination resort worth seeing and will make your visit to Ojai something to remember.
THE OJAI SCENE
There are plenty of fun activities around Ojai that make people came back again and again. The Pink Moment, a rare and magical moment that draws thousands of visitors to Ojai every year happens as the fading sunset creates a brilliant shade of pink for several minutes on the Topa Topa bluffs- over 6,000 feet above sea level. Ojai’s culture is heavily focused on ecology, health and organic agriculture, walking/hiking, spirituality, music and local art. Sites to see include the Rose Valley Falls, a magnificent two-tier 300-foot waterfall located on the west end of the Topatopa Mountains in Los Padres National Forest. Rose Valley Falls is the tallest waterfall in the range and while it is an easy hike to the base of the 100-foot tall lower tier of the waterfall (0.8 miles round trip with 150 feet of elevation gain), it is adventure to reach the more impressive upper tier.
Ojai is often seen as a hippie-friendly city, and many New Age shops exist. Whether you believe in this energy or not- there is something about the Ojai Valley that cannot be described – but felt- and the only way to explain it, is to visit for yourself.

Professionals in Balcones, Texas Make the Golf Swing Appear So Easy!
youtube
I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve heard individuals say “the pros make it look so simple” or “it appears like the pros are swinging so easy, yet, they hit it a mile”.  Right here’s a question to all golfers available.  If the pros resemble they are making this basic movement, why are you turning up in circles and also turning from your footwears on every shot?  It makes sense to me that if the best players on the planet have an easy, very easy movement, you need to be trying to copy what they are doing.   Regrettably, as much as you want this straightforward, very easy swing, you cannot do it.  Why?  Due to the fact that straightforward … is hard.   Simple is Difficult?

Just what do I mean by easy is tough?  Just what I indicate, is the much less you removal your body in golf, the more challenging it is.  Now you’re possibly thinking that this just doesn’t make good sense.  Every person knows that If you were to relocate much less it would be a lot easier!   Well if this held true, you would be seeing every person with wonderful, portable, simple golf swings available as well as I would have no reason to compose this suggestion.  Below are the reasons you don’t have an easy, very easy, small swing:   1. Humanity   A number of methods humanity impacts your swing is that it is informing you that the further you swing back, the further you will strike the round.  It’s also stating that the tougher you hit the ball, the further it will certainly go.  Both of these ideas include your arms and striking the round hard.  Sadly, you are just so strong.  If golf was a simply a strength game, every body builder would certainly also be an expert golf enthusiast.  Likewise, if golf was a strength video game, you would certainly have never ever heard of Chi Chi Rodriguez, who, in his prime, was just 128 lbs.     Since you recognize that you do not have to have a lengthy backswing to generate power, just how much should you go back?  I inform my pupils that as soon as their shoulder rotation stops, so ought to the club.  You want the shoulder rotation to identify your backswing length instead of your club still going back long after the shoulders have quit.  At first, this much shorter backswing will seem like you do not have a great deal of power so it will certainly be more difficult to do, however as you get made use of to it, you will certainly quickly see your shots fly just as much, otherwise farther, with half the backswing. The feeling of striking the ball tough has to be gotten rid of from your swing as well as the lengthy backswing. This is because more challenging you try to hit the round , the tighter your wrists will certainly become. If your wrists tighten up, the club will in fact swing slower as well as the clubface might be held open at influence creating you to spin the ball to the right. In order to comprehend the correct  sensation you must have in your wrists, think of them like a rest on a door. The hinge on a door hangs as well as totally free streaming. There is no resistance.  If you keep your wrists as loose as a depend upon a door, you will allow the club to whip faster and settle up through influence. This whipping activity is just what offers a professional  incredible clubhead speed with just what appears like an uncomplicated swing. 2. Range Doesn’t Necessarily Equal Initiative Throughout  your golf life, you have actually corresponded”X”quantity of power, with”X”  amount of range. As an example, if you were to turn really hard, your mind is stating  that this ought to produce a truly long odds. Unfortunately, the tougher you turn, the much shorter the shot winds up going. As I described above, the more challenging you swing, the tighter you get , the more the clubface will strike the round in an employment opportunity. So when I inform you that you should turn less complicated and also looser, you have to encourage you mind that this is going to produce shots that will go further than before. If you don’t believe me, reflect to the moment you hit that drive 30-50 lawns farther  than any other shot in your life. Just what did you really feel when you hit this shot? I bet you claimed that you felt” absolutely nothing”which it was”effortless.”This means that you might not have actually turned truly difficult yet you generated a shot that went further compared to ever.  The hardest component about turning effortlessly is that it violates exactly what your brain is assuming. Your mind is believing that swinging tough equates to even more power and turning simple equates to much less power. If you think about the pros, they appear like they  are barley moving but they could strike the sphere a long method. So forget about aiming to smash it as hard as you can. Swing in control and also you will certainly be amazed at just how far you will strike it even though it does not seem like you are placing any type of effort right into it whatsoever. 3. Much less Motion is Extra Strenuous Currently I understand you’re drinking your head at this subject because you know for sure that if you relocate less it cannot perhaps much more difficult right? Incorrect! Removaling less in the golf  swing is much more arduous   due to the fact that moving much less produces a tighter, more curled up swing. To recognize what I suggest, consider your backswing. Picture transforming your shoulders back while standing up to the lower body rotation. If you did, you would certainly really feel extremely snugly curled because your hips would move approximately half that of the  shoulders. This limited, curling in the backswing will enable your body to uncoil quickly in the downswing.  Think about it like a spring. If you coil up a springtime, it will break back really promptly. Now envision if you were to transform your shoulders back but this time you lifted your left heel and also turned your hips exceedingly. If you did, you would certainly removal more than if you withstood with your hips and also you would certainly not develop this tight, ended up, sensation.  If you are not tightly curled, you will not uncoil correctly therefore creating you to use your arms to hit the sphere. So turning back extra is actually much less laborious due to the fact that by transforming extra, you don’t obtain the same tight wound up sensation you obtain when you withstand your hip turning in the backswing. Here’s a re-cap of 4 points you could do making your swing resemble that of a pro: 1. Reduce up your backswing.  When your shoulders quit, so ought to your club.2. Keep your wrists looser to allow the club to whip faster.3. Persuade yourself that turning much easier will strike the ball further compared to swinging more difficult.4.   Resist the reduced body turning to produce a straightforward backswing and tighter coil. If you  could service these 4 points, you will certainly start to resemble the pros you venerate. The more you appear like them when you turn, the much more you will certainly begin strike it like them when you play.
