     Another day had come in which Belphegor wondered if he’d truly been  CURSED  before getting whisked away to this place. Or if the sudden arrival was part of the curse itself. For the better part of an hour he’d been trying to shake this man that had somehow decided following him around was a good thing. Did he expect Belphie  KNEW  what he was doing ? Truth be told, the demon had simply picked a direction and began walking in an effort to get away from the events. The forest sounded like it might be a quieter area and had  HAD  BEEN  his destination. Now he wasn’t exactly sure where he was going after taking a turn or two.

          “ Listen, like I said before, I  DON’T  think you’re gonna find wherever you’re trying to go by sticking around me. Can’t you go find someone else to bother for directions ? ” He couldn’t even recall  WHAT  it was this guy had asked him— he wasn’t exactly paying attention before— more concerned with turning him away than he was with listening at the time.

Well, now she’s completely sure that she’s in some foreign country she’s never heard of, with no one she knows nearby and danger lurking at night. This is fine.

...It’s not! It’s really, really not!

Why her? There’s people with possible magic and weapons, and all she has are her drumsticks! Sure, she’ll follow a patron sage, but that doesn’t really change things! Her ‘world’ is as mundane as ever, all she does is play the drums... but at least everyone else is safe back home. Her friends wouldn’t want her to completely freak out and lose her mind, even if she’s dangerously close to doing so--

And then she bumps into someone. 

A squeak escapes her lips as she falls on the ground, landing on her bottom. Ow, ow, ow... wait... ah! She bumped into a complete stranger! That’s a little embarrassing, but that’s besides the point! She quickly scrambles herself up.

❝ A-Ah, I’m sorry! ❞

She fidgets with her hands, looking to make sure the other didn’t get hurt.

❝ I wasn’t paying attention at all, are you alright? ❞

||  █ ▌— while not the last person jakurai might wish to see, dice arisugawa is hardly high on his list. he doesn’t know the young man particularly well, of course, but knows the company he keeps well enough to not wish to better acquaint himself with the gambler. still, he feels a bit like a coiled spring at present, and it’s with that tense energy ( not that it shows on his face ) that he approaches him.

He’s looking up at the walls that surrounds Terra. How tall were the walls, he wonders. It looked like they were difficult to climb, so he wasn’t going to try that. And that was when a stupid idea came to mind.

Was it possible to throw something over it?

Worth a shot at least. Grabbing a rock sitting on the ground nearby, he throws it as hard as he could... Although it barely gains any height, dropping to the ground before it got any closer to the wall.

He was about to try again when he spotted someone nearby. And, once more, another foolish idea came to mind.

“Hey, quick question, how good are you at throwing things? You think you can throw something over the wall around the city?” Why are you like this...

     Despite being a favored, and somewhat criticized, hobby, it wasn’t often that Arsène got to indulge in the exciting underworld of  RISKY  card games and all its affiliates. After all, his undisguised visage had been banned in several casinos on account of practically running them dry and being suspected of cheating. ( They  NEVER  proved such claims but even the thief only did so in moderation ). He’d run into the male some short time ago and it wasn’t long before they discovered the shared interest. Without immediate access to the casino they’d both heard rumor of, it was decided to have a  FRIENDLY  match of their own.

                        That was to say—— their fun had begun short of five rounds ago.

     “ I have to applaud your  TENACITY,  my friend. Most would give up right about now. Are you sure you wish to keep going ? ” As merciless as he were, it went without saying that his fellow gambler had yet to win. Though there was something about the other that seemed to hint even if he were to managed a taste of victory things  WOULDN’T  end there. “ Last chance to back out before I deal. ” But ah, everything was already predetermined when  ARSÈNE  controlled the game. Knowing this, he grinned and gave a short, taunting wave of the card deck.

“Yeah, there is! Broth is just the minion, the ‘sidekick’ of soup itself - if you take all the veggies out of liquid it cooked in, that’s broth, soup is a bunch’a cool stuff in one big bowl! It’s not as SHOW-STOPPING as soup, but ma used ta give it to me the rare times I’d be sick, and it healed me right up, so it can be good in the right circumstances too!”

     At the very sight of the other coming towards him there was a small alarm that’d gone off. Poised like that— the  CLEAR  intent of lifting him— and for what ? Ramuda certainly didn’t like being grabbed on a good day and he definitely had a bone to pick with those who thought it was no offense to just pick him up because it was  EASY.  There were exceptions, most of which he saw coming such as now, but just what did Dice mean ? More than five inches...

              Was it his hovering ability ? But how would——  ? Oh he was  CLOSE  now.

     With a short giggle and a smile, Ramuda waited until the other was nearly at him before using his teleportation ability to move back a full  TEN  feet. “ Sowwy Dice~ But staying still is no fun. Looks like you’ll have to catch me now ! ”

⁝ ▹ OH, Doppo does not like this place. His boss is probably losing his mind (and more hair) at his absence, and it’s not like Doppo can even call and explain the situation. What would he say, anyway? That he needs comp time, because he was kidnapped to another dimension?

Oh, this is all his fault. Being transported somewhere else... he shouldn’t have left himself so vulnerable. Foolish. And now he was going to lose his job and become homeless and...

“Ah--!” he bumps into someone else, and immediately takes a step back. Bowing and uttering many apologies he doesn’t even realize who it is until he stands up straight and meets Dice’s eyes.

“ Did you know that there was a myth about not cutting your nails at night, unless you wanted a rather... sharp witted demon to come to your home? �� It was his favorite thing to bring up sometimes. What he said was something that sounded false, but was actually true. His talent may be in lying, but sometimes it was fun to just say something that was the truth and have it be taken as a lie. There was an interesting psychology to it that he was interested in, but never really explored. He just wanted to mess with Dice even if he saw through the ruse. It’s been a while since he’s riled him up like that, so for good time’s sake ... it’s just a joke.
