My #1 post of 2022

Decided to take my recent musings and do something with them. Turned out far more bombastic than the initial subtle nod I intended... Ahh, standard fare ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Been feeling very nostalgic lately for my pre- and early teens; that'd been when I'd first started getting into Zelda content online. Binge-watching theories and top-tens and peoples' thinkpieces on whatever their favourite (or least favourite) game was.

One of my favourite vids to revisit was a Halloween special rabbidluigi did with some other guy, compiling what they thought were the top 25 creepiest things in Zelda. It's from 2012, so it's rough, to say the least, but it also feels like home.

Skyward Sword was the first Zelda game I ever had, but Twilight Princess was the first game I ever played-- Even if it was a bare scrape into the prologue. Fitting that I draw this guy.

An extended remake for my Skyloft Knight Headgear concept back in 2019 below, since I've been planning for a fullbody redraw!

Finally finished these! And with an older Skyward too! Firstly I want to give a shoutout for @cherrylavendertea , since I really like the concept of Link having his belly warmer (?) cloth slung on the side as part of his uniform, so I included in the design too!

And since you seem liked my headcanon bits, here are some more!

Medic Knights specializes in mostly health related things, such as potion making, researching possible healing ingredients (like that one injured Loftwing quest, with the mushroom spores!)

Scout Knights are explorers of the sky, searching for possible new and or unknown islands up above.

Guard Knights are straightforward like in canon SS, defending Skyloft from monsters and patrols day/night.

as for the emblems, it was from the official concept art of the Skyloft knights! Just wanting to make my headcanons from the designs tho!

The medic one is the most complicated, but I like how the design turned out! And it's unlikely Skyward to be a medic, as IMHO he's more likely a mix between Scout/Guard heh--but it could be interesting if some later in his older days he stopped being a Guard Knight and studied medicine, hmmm.

WIP that I'm doing instead of writing essays for @cherrylavendertea sword spirit AU!!!

First up we got Link in the velvet star pattern bell sleeve top bc it's cute. Sword spirit Link IMO is based on a loftwing because he's branded by Hylia herself- and skyloft/loftwings represent freedom. Which is ironic considering the fact Link is currently serving beneath Demise so he's essentially a bird trapped in a cage. Unless we count his new purpose in life as a freedom from the burden of serving Hylia. Can't wait to draw a few little red spider lillies to represent birth/rebirth as he's technically being born again as a sword spirit? He has a few designs from Zelda's iconic appearance too! Anyway yeah current hyper fixation go brrrr. Also I swear he is wearing pants- trust me. anyways go stream "Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi" full version

My current WIP is for my Soulmate + Fontaine AU for Genshin Impact Short Story:

It was a familiar sight, she often ran after him – he couldn't say whether that was a good thing, because sometimes it was and other times it wasn't. "Father wants to see you." He smiled, but inwardly he wondered what he had done again to be summoned to their father. "Did he tell you why? Is it urgent?" Kaeya frowned but his sister just laughed and grabbed his arm. "Of course. He told me everything in detail and asked me for my opinion." Sarcasm was never Navia's strength and the bluenette shook his head. "However, he is at the Fleuve Cendre and is waiting for you there." Now he looked at his sister even more seriously. "Why isn't our father in Poisson? Did something happen?” “Kaeya…~” Navia's tone didn't allow any further questions, and it was her right to hush him.
