The VPD are imo 100% aware of and probably assisting human trafficking in greater Vancouver. We already know they and the rcmp were besties with Robert Pickton, and a number of women (including the daughter of a victim) have said that they helped him find vulnerable Indigenous women and brought them to his pig farm. Even if they didn't outright kidnap people we know for a fact that historically and today they do not care about certain people and will not, nowhere near, exhaust their resources to help those they deem irrelevant. We can see this right now with the Chelsea Poorman case, allegedly they lied about doing an extensive search of the area she went missing (her father did his own investigation). They say there's insufficient evidence to call her death suspicious but won't reveal that she's missing fingers and part of her skull. They say she died the night she went missing but her body isn't decomposed enough to warrant that conclusion. It's also so suspicious to me that her body was found in the most expensive residential area of Vancouver. Idk how many people know this but the RCMP literally would have parties at Robert Picktons farm and this is something you can easily fact check. Women went missing in the dozens and there were countless anonymous calls about his farm and years went by, I think at least 11 before any investigation was done , more than enough time to hide evidence of police involvement
