UX CONTENT STRATEGIST - SANTA CLARA CHEGG
Key Responsibilities: •Be “The Voice of Chegg” for our products. •Capture the playful, supportive essence of the Chegg brand and speak directly to students. Beyond that, help build that brand and infuse creativity into multiple touch points with students, parents, prospective tutors, and other “customers” of Chegg. •Create and edit UI/UX copy across chegg.com and our apps. •Support UX Design and PM for various product verticals. •Develop copy for home pages, transactional pages, upsell/cross-sell pages. •Collaborate extensively with UX Design, Marketing, Product Management, and User Research on projects.Work cross-functionally to unify the voice with words produced by other teams such as Brand Marketing (e.g. email, ad campaigns), Corp Communications, and Customer Support (e.g. help copy). •At key times, take a data-driven approach and A/B test copy for improvements to conversion, engagement or retention.Update and maintain the Chegg Editorial Guide. Obvious things we screen for (but we’ll say anyway): •A natural collaborator and a team player. •Must be familiar with the tech world and adept at creating online/app products with product managers, UX designers, product marketing, creative marketing, usability researchers, and engineering. •Articulate, can give thoughtful reasoning and inspire or persuade a product team. •Understanding of fundamental grammar and punctuation, and bulletproof editing and proofreading abilities. •Attention to detail and to cross-site or cross-platform consistency. Qualifications: •5+ years as a UI/UX copywriter (agency or client side) for web and/or apps, creating excellent, concise copy and an impressive portfolio. •Online portfolio showing your past experience in the technical category on major projects, products, apps or websites; consumer projects (not enterprise) are required. •Highly organized and able to balance multiple projects at the same time. •Independent worker, responsible for finding, starting, managing, finishing his/her own projects. •Bachelor's or Master's degree.
