Cheeky The Kea / @skycitybreakers mascot Design (FINAL DESIGN VS CONCEPTS) Earlier this year I was lucky to work with my favourite sporting club in New Zealand and design the new mascot. The goal was to make Cheeky agile , animated and flexible. To be able to do all the tricks from back flips to dunks and dance with crews. I got to work with and help make the vision of the club in to some concepts and design also understand what materials and what it take to make the Costume from the makers point of view. The design process is exciting and never a dull moment finding a resolution. Caught up.........or should I say held up Cheeky the Kea today and watched them getting up to mischief with tricks ,dunking, passing and getting in player interviews. What a crack up mascot and all around fun and cheeky 🐦. Fun fact: I helped design the new suit earlier this year to make them dunk, run, handstands and mostly animated!
