checo was always problematic imo, never got along with his teammates (he tried to kill estie bestie multiple times), he is a cheater (both off and on track), anti-abortion, told Susie wollf to get back in the kitchen and all that weird stuff but we are all racist for disliking him. Maybe a human is BEYOND their nationality, you know as a person, we all have a personality, and we can dislike THAT.

I think in their heart that they know he is a mid driver, can never beat max, will forever stay salty over that fact so it is the only way to defend him.
