I just think that if I were Max on that podium while people chant Checo’s name and boo I would not be able to contain my laughter cause like “you’re here chanting his name and booing thinking it’s gonna hurt me while I completely DOMINATED the last 2 years, just won my 50th race, and he has had a shit year? HAHAHHAHA”

No hate towards Checo btw, he’s my only latino that I can support. And I support most of the drivers on the grid

I mean, I think there’s a bit of that. They’re chanting for a guy who most of the time can’t even get on the podium like what do you want them to do, bring him out as a mascot? He wasn’t good enough to be up there on merit.

I’m sure Max looks at it like you would.

I think I would just feel so awkward being yelled at by thousands of strangers. I don’t even like being looked at by too many people in the street okay.

Seeing the chants and booing today makes me embarrassed to even like a certain driver because the fans are just YIKES. Fucking embarrassing. ESPECIALLY when you do this shit for someone's 50th win. It's not Max's fucking fault that Checo isn't doing as well. Like UGH.

Max was live from his driver room, while Checo was still on his way to the track, they landed on the wrong airport he said 🤣

there were 5 fans asking questions to both of them.

to Checo, how was it being the new guy in RBR and did he do anything especially to build relationship with the team. he said that it's been tough to keep in touch during covid but through the season he feels in the family now 🥰

Max was asked about his helmet designs. he said the Spa's and Zandvoort's were his favorite ones 🧡

a fan also asked about that video commemorating Honda's 50th race, with Yuki. was he a good teacher? and so they remember any Japanese word he taught? Checo remembered the 'circuit' word because it's similar with Spanish, Max was about to say the same so he didn't add another word😅 and he said Japanese is hard to learn so he didn't remember particular word beside 'arigatou'.

And that’s that! Good race, if with a bit of a lull in the middle. Still good, though! The early checkered flag was a...thing. Yep...one job, I’m telling ya.

Anyways! Congrats to Seb and his 50th win! He was kind of in a race of his own the entire way. Same for Val and Max, who came second and third, but Val did keep pace with Seb and Max stayed ahead of his teammate!

Well done to the rest of the top ten, too! Dan was keeping Lewis behind him the last several laps, and Kimi behind him. Hulk and Carlos were best of the rest finishing 7th and 8th respectively and Esteban got a couple more points for Force India. And kudos to Charles finishing in the points for Sauber again! Hope to see good things from this guy in the future!

And, as always, well done to the rest of those who finished; Pierre, RoGro, K-Mag, Checo, Marcus, Stoff, and Sergey! Pierre and RoGro were chasing down Charles near the end there. Weren't quite able to catch him, though! And Checo’s save after knocking into Carlos was pretty slick!

Finally, also as always, condolences to those that didn’t get to see the...er, early waved checkered flag. Good to see that Lance and Brendon were both alright after their first lap crash! Always scary when you see a car leave the ground during a crash. Also heard that Brendon was taken to the hospital after his check up at the medical center. Pretty sure it’s justified ‘cause, again, car left ground. Hope he’s all good! And big condolences to Nando. Retiring the car on his 300th GP. Blah. That’s pretty sucky. Well, at least he has lots of stuff upcoming to take his mind off of that. Including the Le Mans 24 hours! (Which is next week, if you didn’t know!)

And, speaking of upcoming races, the next F1 race will be the French GP in two weeks time! And the race itself will be nice for me since it’ll be on my birthday! Can’t think of better way to spend it than watching a race!
