Exactly 4 months and 1 week of storyboarding came to a close tonight!
Did I mean for the SpaceGoji episode to be the longest and most ambitious animation of mine yet…no! But I’m rolling with it!
So happy to finally start animating again, I’m a lil rusty, but I’m sure by the end of this, I’ll be better than I ever have been :]

“Do we have the rights to that song?” Sumi asked, leaning back in her chair.
“We’re working on it.” Namjoon told her.
“But we still have a lot of our own songs to work on in the meantime.” Yoongi pointed out. “So we don’t need to stress about it.”
“I’m not stressed. Who’s stressed?” Sumi smiled.
Namjoon turned back to the screen. They were in the middle of their big planning meeting for their upcoming album, trying to finalize the songs that were going to make the cut. Sumi hadn’t been very active in writing for the past few comebacks, so she was mostly just giving her two cents every few minutes and waiting until they moved onto the concept portion.
“Are we going to order lunch?” Jin asked.
“Yes, please.” Jimin sighed. “I’m starving.”
“Do we want noodles?” Jin pulled out his phone.
“Salad for me, thanks.” Sumi winked. “I’m on a diet.”
“Really?” Taehyung looked her up and down. “You ate a whole pizza at movie night on Monday.”
“Your point?” Sumi rolled her eyes.
“Can we get back to the actual point of this meeting?” Namjoon asked.
“Right, sure.” Sumi gestured to the screen. “Songs. Let’s go.”
“You’re bored, aren’t you?” He sighed.
“Maybe.” She glanced at the maknae. “Kookie, grape me.”
Jungkook tossed the grape with expert precision, and Sumi caught it in her mouth, giving him a wink.
“You’re being especially childish today.” Hobi shook his head.
“I learned from the best.” She grinned. “But seriously, Oppa, order lunch. Keep going with the meeting.”
She managed to keep herself mostly focused for the rest of the meeting, only breaking her concentration to catch the grapes Jungkook tossed her way behind Namjoon’s back. Even though she hadn’t participated in writing any of the songs, she was really excited for what was on the album. There were vocal parts that she was really excited about, and she was looking forward to a change in sound.
“Is that my sweater?” Taehyung asked.
Sumi glanced down at her outfit. She’d stolen the oversized cardigan from his closet when she’d visited the apartment, and paired it with a tight corduroy skirt. “Yeah? Look cute, right?”
“I think that’s a sign that we need a break.” Namjoon closed his laptop screen.
“Hyung, did you order lunch?” Jungkook asked Jin.
“It says twenty minutes until delivery.” Jin answered. “They probably had to go pick the vegetables because only a psychopath orders a salad from a noodle place.”
“You need to back off.” Sumi shook her head. “I just want to-“
A knock sounded at the door.
“Food’s early?” Hobi exclaimed.
“They wouldn’t come all the way up to this floor.” Namjoon pointed out. “Come in!”
A familiar face opened the door, hurrying right for Sumi.
“I’m so sorry for interrupting!” She exclaimed, holding out a phone. “It’s an emergency.”
“Is that one of our managers?” Jin whispered to Yoongi.
“Min-ji, Sumi’s assistant.” Yoongi replied.
“What’s wrong?” Sumi asked, sitting up in her chair.
Min-ji covered the receiver, speaking quickly. “The online retailer is saying that they’re owed 30% of the proceeds.”
“Bullshit.” Sumi exclaimed. “We signed a contract.”
“They’re saying that it wasn’t clear and so that-“
“Give me that.” Sumi snatched the phone. “Hello?”
“Hello. Who am I speaking to?”
“Lee Sumi. The CEO of the company you’re trying to scam.” She hissed into the receiver.
“Look ma’am, the contract didn’t explicitly state that –“
“It did. Do you have the contract in front of you?” She stood up.
“No, do you?”
“I’m about to.” She gestured at Namjoon’s laptop.
He slid the computer over and Min-ji started typing quickly, going through Sumi’s email.
“All we’re asking for is our fair share of-“
“You’re getting payed for your contribution to this launch, as stated on the contract we both signed. And then I’m sueing you, and then I’m never working with you again.”
“Sumi, this has been incredibly profitable for the both of us. It would be a shame to-“
“It’s about to be a lot less profitable for you, and it’s Miss Lee. We’re not friends.” She leaned close to look at the contract, and then glanced at Min-ji.
“Is this being recorded?” She mouthed.
Min-ji nodded.
Sumi smirked. “Alright. Well, I have the contract here and we’ve recorded this entire conversation where you attempted to violate our contract. You’ll be hearing from our lawyers.”
“Miss Lee!”
“Have a nice day.” Sumi hung up the phone.
“What a dick.” She rolled her eyes.
“They seemed sketch when we signed with them.” Min-ji sighed.
“But Bighit recommended them.” Sumi shook her head. “Start figuring out new retailers and get a statement on my desk as soon as possible. I’ll come by when I finish up here.”
“Alright, see you then.” Min-ji bowed, already holding her phone back up to her ear as she walked out of the room.
Sumi logged out of her email, closing the screen as she looked up.
The boys were all staring at her.
“What?” She asked.
“Miss Lee?” Jimin looked like he was trying not to laugh.
She stuck her tongue out at him. “Shut up.”
“You have lawyers?” Namjoon asked.
“I’m about to.” She pulled out her phone. “That idiot should know better than to try and back out of a contract with me.”
“You’re actually going to sue him?” Jungkook asked, looking unsure.
Sumi shrugged. “If I have to. Urgh..30%, who is he kidding?”
“Is 30% a lot of money?” Yoongi asked.
“The original deal gave them 10.” Sumi explained. “Even I’m not making 30%. There’s production, marketing, I have to pay my employees…and I can’t do that if people are trying to cheat me out of my earnings.”
“Did your launch do well?” Hobi asked. “I mean…we know it was well-received, but did it do well in sales?”
Sumi nodded. “Sold out. And we’re working on a restock. And in the meantime we’re working on our next collection and some other stuff.”
“Other stuff?” Jimin asked.
Sumi tilted her head. “Clothes. Perfume. Nothing’s set in stone yet but we’re looking at lots of options.”
“This is really turning into a serious company, isn’t it?” Jungkook seemed surprised.
“Of course.” Sumi slid Namjoon’s laptop back across the table. “I’m building something that’s going to last. It’s not just a spur of the moment thing.”
“Noona,” Taehyung playfully leaned his head onto her shoulder. “Can I collab with your company?”
“Don’t call me Noona.” She shoved him away. “And sure. Maybe. But no one is collabing with anyone until I get my lunch.”
“It’s a salad, it’s not lunch.” Jin shook his head. “It’s going beyond a diet, clearly I failed to raise you right if you’re eating salad by choice.”
Sumi crossed her arms. “I run my own company and I’m a global bestselling artist but you failed to raise me?”
“The food is more important.” Jin sighed. “When I come over for dinner next I’m making you something fatty and unhealthy.”
“Fine. But you get to deal with my mood swings after I eat it.”
“Nah, I leave that to your boyfriend.”

“I think I’m going to pass out.” Sumi held a hand to her chest.
“Please don’t.” Changkyun rubbed her back. “The photographers just got inside.”
Sumi took a deep breath. “Do I look stressed? Do I look okay? Because I feel like I look stressed.”
“You look gorgeous.” Changkyun promised. “Now, give me a kiss and get out there.”
Sumi nodded, pressing a quick kiss to his lips and then hurrying out from behind the banner where she’d been hiding.
The launch party had seemed like a good idea at the time, because it was a chance for more exposure for her line. But then the press got involved, and there was a pink carpet that all of the guests were walking down. And the guests she’d picked, like her friends and other idols, were now being chatted up by magazine people and fashion brands.
She’d managed the pink carpet, and been okay as the guests slowly trickled inside after her, but now the press was inside as well, and she knew she had to go take pictures with people.
She watched Changkyun sneak out on the other side of the banner and walk over to where Monsta X was. She wished she could follow him, but instead she headed through the party towards the photo wall.
She was rather proud of the decorations. Everything was done in rose gold and white, and there were glass cases everywhere displaying her jewelry. The snack tables were covered in tiny foods, and there was champagne going around as well.
“Eonnie! You look amazing!” Someone caught her arm.
She spun, finding Tori holding her elbow. “I didn’t realize you were here already. I would’ve come to say hi.”
“I just got here.” Tori promised, before holding up a hand to show off her By Sumi earrings. She wasn’t giving the stuff away, but she’d gifted some to each member of Pandora, just because she could.
“You look beautiful.” Sumi smiled.
“And you do too. Totally showing everyone that this is your night.” Tori grinned.
Sumi looked down at her dress. It had taken her weeks to pick it, but she was sure that she’d made the perfect choice. The body of the dress was a tight, solid navy blue, but it had a sheer overlay that made it look like it was covered in silver stars. The puffed sleeves were made of the sheer material, as was the long train of the skirt. She’d pulled her hair up, showing off her earrings and her necklace.
“You need to go take pictures.” Tori pointed towards the photo wall. “But I’ll see you later.”
Sumi waved goodbye to her, before making her way towards the photographers. The second she stepped close, she was grabbed by both her group manager and her brand manager.
“We’ve got lots of solo pictures.” Her brand manager, a woman in her forties that Sumi had personally hired. “Can we get some of you with your group?”
“I’ve already brought them over.” Her group manager said.
“Long time no see, CEO!” Hoseok shouted as soon as he was within range.
Sumi laughed, turning to face the photographers as they all stood next to her. “I imagine that’s what you’re calling me all the time now.”
“Obviously. Namjoon is leader, and your CEO.” Yoongi stood on her other side, wrapping an arm around her waist and throwing up a peace sign.
There wasn’t much opportunity for chatting as they smiled and posed for the photographers. Sumi was careful not to crush her puff sleeves, also trying to strategically show off her jewelry.
“Can we do some paired shots?” A photographer shouted. “Just Sumi and someone else?”
Despite her urge to tell the photographer off for attempting to tell them what to do, the boys seemed excited about a chance to escape and get snacks.
“See you in a minute, Soo.” Yoongi and Hoseok disappeared.
“Guess that’s my cue.” Jungkook stepped up beside her, loosely wrapping an arm around her waist.
“You’re wearing a jacket.” She noted, leaning her head towards him as she smiled at the camera.
“It’s a fancy day, Noona. I’m just trying to impress.” He smiled. “Why, do you not like it?”
“I like it when you show off your tattoos.” She said simply.
“I want to present a good image for your brand.” He explained. “I combed my hair and everything.”
“And you’re wearing the earrings.” Sumi reached up to tug lightly on his earring. “Now I know I’ll be sold out by tomorrow.”
“You’re going to be sold out anyways.” He promised. “The entire line is amazing.”
“I never thought I’d be turning to you for feedback on accessories.” Sumi laughed. “But, I guess if you can sell out a fabric softener, you can sell out my jewelry line.”
“Sumi will be back for pictures in a few minutes.” Her manager announced, signaling an end to the photo session, at least for the time being.
Jungkook linked his arm with hers, leading her past the walls of photographers and back into the quieter area of the party.
“You look really pretty, by the way.” He smiled at her.
“Thanks.” She grinned. “I’ve been told that I’m killing it.”
“You are.” He confirmed. “Um, can we talk for a minute?”
“We are talking.”
“But like…just the two of us?” He looked nervous.
Sumi frowned. “I guess. Uh, follow me.”
She led him into the back room of the party, where the gift baskets were sitting on tables and waiting to be distributed. She closed the door behind them, blocking out the noise.
“What do you want to talk about?” She asked.
He rubbed the back of his neck. “I just…I wanted to apologize.”
“For what?” She let out a little laugh. “I don’t think you’ve done anything that bad.”
“I need to apologize for what happened.” He insisted. “With YinYin. And with….with us.”
Sumi’s mood sobered instantly. “Today? Seriously, Jungkook. I’ve put it behind me.”
“I know, I know and I’m not going to ruin your day. I just…I need you to know that I’m sorry. That I know I messed up, and that I’m sorry I ever made you feel like I didn’t trust you.”
Sumi twisted the fabric of her skirt. “Well I’ll admit it didn’t feel nice.”
“I just…I love you. And I don’t want anything to be weird, I just want things to go back to normal. And I promise, I trust you.”
Sumi sighed. “I trust you too, Kookie. And I love you. We can put it behind us, but I’m never going to forget that it happened.”
“That’s okay. I just….” He looked down at his hand, before holding it up in the air. It took her a second to realize he was showing her his tattoo. “I got this for a reason. And I don’t regret it. You’re one of the most important people in my life, and I don’t want my stupid decision to come between us.”
“It won’t.” Sumi promised. “But what brought this on?”
He sighed, looking at the ground. “It’s embarrassing.”
That was all it took for Sumi to clue in. “YinYin.”
Jungkook nodded.
Sumi let out a laugh. “What? She wouldn’t sleep with you until you made peace or something? I knew I liked that girl.”
“No.” He frowned. “I wanted her to – never mind. It’s stupid.”
“No no.” Sumi crossed her arms, smirking. “I want the details. Did she threaten to break up with you? Was she refusing to speak Korean until you cooperated? Did she-“
“I wanted us to get couple jewelry and she said she wouldn’t wear it as long as me and you were weird.” Jungkook blurted out.
Sumi blinked.
And then burst into laughter.
“Are you serious?” She exclaimed. “This entire weird conversation is because you wanted matching jewelry with your girlfriend?”
“Don’t make fun.” He protested. “It’s an important…an important milestone in a relationship.”
Sumi was clutching her side as she laughed. “It’s just….oh Kookie, I think that’s the cutest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“See this…” He pointed at her. “Is why I didn’t want you to know that we were dating.”
Sumi had to sit down on one of the rolling chairs as she struggled to catch her breath. She finally managed to focus enough to speak.
“So…you getting couple rings? Diamond encrusted?” She was genuinely curious, but he could see the mischievous glint in her eye.
“No, we’re not getting rings.” He shook his head. “I’m surprised you didn’t notice.”
“What? Notice what?” Sumi scanned him up and down.
He pointed at his ear. “I’m only wearing one earring.”
Sumi’s mouth dropped open. “You’re using my jewelry as your couple item?”
“It’s just so high quality.” He teased.
She shook her head. “I’ve changed my mind. I don’t forgive you. You’re just trying to cause trouble now.” She stood from her chair.
“Aw, Noona!” He grinned, playfully smoothing out her skirt. “Forgive me?”
“Hm, maybe after the party.”

“Lucas! You’re up.”
YinYin glanced in the mirror, watching as her group mate walked over for his turn in front of the camera.
“What do you think they’ll have him do?” Taeil asked her. He was leaning against her dressing table, chatting as she finished having her makeup done.
“I don’t know. Flash his abs?” YinYin proposed.
“I think the stylists forgot to give him a shirt.” Taeil laughed.
“He’s probably loving it.” YinYin smiled as the makeup artist moved away, letting her get up from the chair.
They were doing the solo shots portion of a group photoshoot, and it was chaos with everyone there. They were all getting solo photos taken, some more standard ones and then some showing off their individual skills.
“You’d better get ready to bend yourself in half.” Taeil told her. “That’s probably going to be your special pose.”
“Urgh, I know.” YinYin tried to bend down and touch her toes. Her back had been feeling particularly tight for a few days, and even now, as she bent down to touch her toes, a sharp pain protested the movement.
“YinYin!”
“It’s my turn.” She stood, trying to stretch out.
She stepped onto the photo set, quickly getting into position. The first few minutes were just the standard photos, tilting her head, hand on her hip, normal posing type of stuff. She was wearing a pair of black dress pants and a black bandeau top. Her hair was up in a high pony tail, and she had red heels on her feet. Honestly the entire look felt very sleek and mature, and she was sure that the photos would look great.
“YinYin, can we get you with you leg in the air, like we showed in the meeting?” The shoot director asked.
“Are you alright to do that in heels?” Taeyong leaned around from where him and Johnny were looking at the monitor.
“Sure.” YinYin swallowed. “The heels won’t be a problem.”
It was true, the heels weren’t a problem. She couldn’t do flips in them, but any sort of standing position would be fine. The actual issue was going to be her back. She might have been hallucinating, but it felt like her back seized up a little at the thought of it.
“Right, ready?” She took a step back, bracing her right leg.
“Whenever you are.”
YinYin relaxed her face, and then kicked her left leg up behind her, reaching to grab it with her hands. For a split second, it was okay.
And then her back erupted in pain.
She dropped her leg, feeling her right leg crumple underneath her and she went down. She land on her side, trying to breathe through what felt like stabbing pains all through her back.
“See, I told you the heels weren’t a good idea.” Taeyong said. “Yin, you good?”
She didn’t respond. The edges of her vision felt fuzzy.
“Yinnie?” Johnny stood from his seat, stepping around the cameras. “Are you okay?”
YinYin tried to turn her head to look at him, and pain exploded down her back. Her vision was blinded by a white hot flash of excruciating pain, and she thought she heard a scream, but couldn’t tell if it was coming from her.
“Yinnie, Yinnie look at me.” She felt a hand on her waist - heard Taeyong’s voice next to her ear. “Yin, you have to tell us what’s happening.”
She couldn’t think straight, couldn’t form the words to respond.
“Liu Guanyin,” Kun was next to her, speaking in Chinese. “Just tell me where it hurts, okay?”
“My back.” She managed to choke out.
“It’s her back.” Kun translated.
“Her back?” Taeyong seemed confused. “What’s wrong with her back?”
“It gets kind of sore, but she-”
“She was getting physiotherapy for it.” Jisung said. “She told me once, after she did a move and it hurt her.”
“Okay, okay,” Taeyong seemed to be thinking. “An ambulance will come and it will be fine. You’re going to be fine, Yinnie.”
“It hurts to breathe.” She said quietly, unsure of what language she was speaking. Every breath she took seemed to spark up another burst of pain. When she opened her eyes, she could see the floor and a bit of someone’s knee, but she was terrified of trying to move again.
“Yinnie?” A face descended into her line of vision, Lucas laying down on the floor so she could see him. “You’re okay?”
“No.” She said. Something wet got into her eye, and she realized she was crying.
“Help is coming, okay? You’re going to be okay.” He wiped her tears away.
YinYin felt like she couldn’t pull enough air into her lungs, and every breath she took just added to her pain. Of course she would be having a panic attack right now.
“I think I’m....” She searched for the words as her vision clouded over. “gonna...pass...” The world went dark.
“Yinnie!” Lucas tapped her cheek. “Yin?” He went to shake her shoulder, but Kun pushed him away.
“Don’t move her, we don’t want to make anything worse.” Kun advised. “She’s going to be fine.”
The managers rushed in, leading the paramedics right to her, and they all took a step back as YinYin was put in a neck brace and strapped to a stretcher.
“Did you know she was getting treatment for her back?” Taeyong whispered to Kun.
Kun shrugged. “She’s an athlete. She’s always getting physio for something. I didn’t know there was something that wrong.”
“It’s from Weekly Idol.” Lucas said quietly, watching carefully as an oxygen was put on her face. “When they pushed her leg too far.”
“This is insane.” Taeyong pushed them back to let the stretcher wheel past. “How did no one realize?”
“She doesn’t exactly respond to pain like a normal person.” Lucas frowned.
“She was screaming.” Kun’s heart dropped. “We need to....we need to meet her at the hospital.”
“I want to come to.” Lucas said quickly.
“Me too.”
Taeyong glanced around. All of the boys would be willing to go to the hospital, but 21 people was a lot for any hospital room to handle.
“I’ll go, with Lucas and Kun.” He decided. “And we’ll call you guys if something changes.”
“We’ll wait up.” Johnny nodded. “Go.”
They’d been at the hospital for a few hours, waiting as the doctors debated over what to do with YinYin. The three of them had been sitting in the hallway, looking up every time a doctor left the room.
“The news is out.” Kun said quietly, holding up a phone screen. “Someone from the photoshoot must have leaked it.”
“Let the company deal with it.” Lucas said. “That’s not really that important right now.”
“Exactly. I’m sure the company will-” Taeyong’s phone started to ring. “Sorry, I’ll just see who this is.”
He didn’t recognize the number, but he stood as he answered it, going to lean on the opposite wall.
“Hello?”
“Is this Taeyong?” It was a male voice, but Taeyong was becoming more and more certain that it was a sasaeng by the second.
“Um yes. Who is this? Because this really isn’t a good time.”
“Are you with Guanyin?” The guy asked.
Taeyong blinked. “Uh, just give me one second.”
He covered the receiver, turning to talk to the others. “Who do we know who calls YinYin Guanyin?”
“Her parents?” Lucas offered.
Taeyong shook his head. “He sounds younger than that.”
“Is he Korean? I can’t think of anyone.”
Taeyong shrugged, going back to the phone. “Sorry, who am I speaking to?”
“Oh sorry, it’s Jeon Jungkook.”
Taeyong blinked twice. “Come again?”
“Jeon Jungkook. Listen, I got your number from Jaehyun but is Guanyin okay? He couldn’t give me a straight answer and said you’d know-”
“How do you know YinYin?”
“We’re dating.” Jungkook said matter-of-factly. “Is she alright?”
“I’ll be right back.” Taeyong turned again, covering the receiver.
“Either of you know anything about YinYin dating?”
Lucas and Kun both nodded.
“Yeah, for about a month now? Maybe more.”
“Why, is that her boyfriend?” Lucas exclaimed. “She still hasn’t told us who it is.”
“Right, well that’s probably because it’s a BTS member.”
“WHAT!”
Taeyong turned back to the phone.
“She’s with doctors right now. We don’t really know what’s happening.”
“But you guys are going to stay there with her? Or do you want me to-”
“It’s already kind of a media frenzy.” Taeyong advised. “But we’ll keep you posted?”
“Yes, please.” Jungkook sounded relieved. “This is my number, so just call or text me. And let me know if you guys need anything.”
“We will. Thank you.” Taeyong held up the phone.
Lucas snatched the phone, trying to identify the caller. “Who the hell is she dating?”
“I should probably let her tell you guys.” Taeyong took his phone back. “But she has a lot of-”
“Kwon Yerim?”
“Yes! That’s us!” Kun turned to the doctor as he stepped through the door. “Is she alright?”
“She has a micro-fracture to the spine. It would have been an issue in the long-term, but she re-broke it today.”
“What does that mean?” Taeyong asked.
“It’s actually a good thing.” The doctor explained. “It means that now we can brace it and let it heal properly. There will be a rest period, but there shouldn’t be any reason that she doesn’t make a full recovery.”
“Is she awake? Can we see her?”
“Of course. Go right ahead.”
They waited until the doctor and two nurses had filed out of the room, and then they hurried through the doors.
YinYin was lying flat on her back, a brace around her middle. Her hair was still in the pony tail from the shoot, but she’d been changed into a hospital outfit. The shirt was rolled up to expose her stomach and the brace.
“How are you feeling?” Taeyong asked gently.
“Pretty good.” YinYin lifted her arm, showing off her IV. “They gave me pain meds.”
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell us how bad your back was.” Kun poked her on the nose. “You scared us.”
“Sorry. I thought I had it handled.” She frowned. “I didn’t expect it to be so bad.”
“Well, you need to-”
“Whatever, her back is fine.” Lucas cut them off. “You want to tell us which member of BTS you’re dating?”
YinYin’s eyes widened. “How did you find out? Does the press know?”
“He phoned Taeyong to see how you were and he won’t tell us who it is. So now you have to, before I murder you.” Lucas informed her.
“Oh, it’s Jungkook.” She looked at Taeyong. “He called?”
“Yeah. He was worried so you should call him when you-”
“You have been dating him for a month and we’re just finding out now?” Lucas exclaimed. “He drove a red sports car to pick you up and you didn’t tell me who it was?”
“It didn’t seem important.” YinYin shrugged, and then winced. “Ow.”
“I hope it hurts. I can’t believe you kept this secret from me.” Lucas sat down at the foot of the bed, and smacked her leg.
“Let’s talk about why he calls you by your full name.” Kun laughed. “That’s adorable.”
“I am in the hospital right now and you guys want to talk about my boyfriend?”
“Yes.” Lucas and Kun said together.
Taeyong cleared his throat. “I know my Chinese isn’t the best, but it sounded like he kind of pronounced it wrong?”
YinYin smiled. “Yeah, he’s horrible at it. But he doesn’t know that so don’t tell him.”
“I’m so mad at you.” Lucas smacked her again. “You have a boyfriend that is completely out of your league and you didn’t tell me. How dare you call yourself my best friend?”
“Hey, she’s out of his league.” Kun protested.
“And I’ve never said I was your best friend.” YinYin shook her head.
“Whatever, can you just ask him if I can drive his car?”
YinYin turned her head to look at Taeyong. “Can you please make it stop? I’m sick and in the hospital and they’re bullying me.”
Taeyong shook his head with a smile. “I want to see the car too.”

"Woah, this plane is fancy." Yoongi gasped as he stepped into his little pod.
Sumi smirked from hers, setting her bag at her feet. "I think this chair turns into a bed, too."
"We've made it, guys." Hoseok laughed.
They were getting ready to fly to the US for the Grammys, and Sumi had fully equipped herself for the ride ahead. She was wearing a white crop top and leggings, with an oversize Gucci sweater she'd stolen from Tae. Her bag was stocked with face masks, an eye mask, some snacks, and a cozy blanket so she could get some sleep.
"Noona, do you want to watch a movie?" Jungkook asked. His pod was right across the aisle from hers, and he'd already flipped his chair into a bed.
She gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Kookie. I need to get some sleep."
"That's okay. Are you going to turn your chair into a bed."
"Yeah, I think so." She answered, gesturing to the passengers still coming down the aisle. "Once everyone is boarded."
It only took another twenty minutes until the bulk of the passengers had boarded, with all of the members keeping their gazes down to avoid attracting attention. When she felt like most people had walked past, she leaned over to try and figure out how to transform her bed.
Someone bumped into her, a hand landing on her bottom.
She looked up in surprise.
"Sorry, sorry." A man wearing a face mask bowed apologetically. "I stumbled, I'm so sorry."
Sumi gave a little smile. "It's okay."
He bowed again and hurried away, towards the economy seating. Sumi shrugged, before reaching across to pull on Jungkook's sleeve. "How do I make the bed."
He put his bottle of water down. "Like this." He showed her, and in no time Sumi had her very own little bed.
She sat up until the plane took off, and once the seatbelt sign went off she settled in to get comfy. Her hair went up in a bun, her sweater came off, and she put her Mika pillow under her head. She grabbed the blanket and snuggled down, pulling her sleeping mask over her face and her mask up to cover her nose.
"You look like a demon." She heard Hoseok's voice from above her. She lifted the mask slightly, seeing him peering over the top of her pod. Someone walked by, and she waited for them to leave before she spoke.
"I'm trying to protect everyone from my sleeping face." She answered.
"We appreciate it." He laughed. "You brought face masks, right? Can I borrow some?"
"Yeah, they're in my bag." She went to sit up.
"Not now." He shook his head. "After my nap, I think."
"Hmmm, okay." She settled back down, pulling her mask over her eyes as someone else walked by the bed. "You can just come and grab them."
"I will. Get some sleep, Soo." He patted her hair.
It was about six hours into the flight when the lights finally went off. Sumi had woken up a few times throughout her nap, once for food, and was finally able to fall asleep as the lights went off and people quieted down. There was only the flight attendants walking back and forth, and she snuggled happily into her pillow, the blanket shifting around as she rolled.
Somewhere in the back of her mind, she became aware of someone standing next to her pod. A hand settled on her bare waist, leaning over her.
She just determinedly closed her eyes. Figured that Hobi wouldn't be able to just grab her bag, he'd have to wake her up to do it.
Except then his other hand came to rest on her boob.
"Yah!" She sat up, whispering harshly, yanking her mask off and preparing to smack Hoseok with it.
But it wasn't Hoseok.
"Who are-"
The man smacked a hand over her mouth.
She screamed, but it was muffled against his hand. The cabin was dark and she didn't see any flight attendants. She kicked frantically, her foot bashing the pod in front of her.
"Sumi, what are you-" Yoongi stood up. "Who the hell are you?"
He made no effort to be quiet, as he shoved the guy away, coming to stand in the aisle.
"What's happening?" Lights started coming on.
The guy reached up from his spot on the floor, his hand grasping at Sumi's leg.
"YAH!" It was Jungkook's hand that grabbed his wrist and threw him away. "What are you doing?"
"Soo, what did he do?" Namjoon was standing in aisle, not touching the man, but clearly blocking his exit.
"He was...he was..." She shook her head, pulling the blanket up over her chest.
"He was touching her." Yoongi said simply. "Can we get security or something?"
"Soo, are you okay?" Tae reached for her hand.
She nodded, taking his hand. "I...I think I'm..."
"She's shaking." Tae said, moving to sit next to her on the bed. "Soo..."
She turned her face into his shoulder. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry." He rubbed her shoulder, aware of the fact that she was using him to hide her tears.
"Is there  a problem here?" A male flight attendants voice broke through as he came to stand at the edge of their little gathering.
"Yeah, this guy just assaulted our friend." Yoongi snapped. "Can we get him detained please?"
"I didn't do anything wrong." The man protested. "I just...fell."
"With your hand over her mouth?" Jungkook glared at him.
"She's crying, you idiot!" Jimin shouted. "Are you kidding? Where's our manager?"
"Let's get you back to your seat." The male flight attendant hauled the man to his feet, leading him back through the aisles.
"Back to his..." Hoseok watched as the took the man away. "Are you serious?"
"Excuse me," Namjoon turned to the other flight attendant. "We're going to find our manager, and then we'll need that man's information."
"Sir, I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding, we-"
"A misunderstanding?" Taehyung said as loudly as he dared, fully conscious of the fact that Sumi was still sniffling into his chest.
"Are you sure she didn't..." The flight attendant floundered for words. "Encourage it in some way?"
"Are you serious?" All of the boys shouted in protest.
"I didn't encourage it!" Sumi mumbled.
"We know you didn't, Soo." Tae patted her cheek. "Joon."
Namjoon was no longer trying to play nice. "We'll get his information, and then we'll get yours. Because we're pressing charges."
"Surely you don't need."
"Keep arguing with him." Yoongi snorted. "We'll get you fired! Do you want to-"
"Oppa." Sumi reached out a hand to him. "It isn't worth it."
He stopped talking, but he looked like he definitely wanted to say more.
"Manager-nim!" Jimin exclaimed as their manager appeared, quickly explaining the situation. Their manager ushered the flight attendant away, promising to get the information they needed.
"You going to be okay, Soo?" Hoseok pulled on the top of her bun. "They'll figure everything out."
She pulled back from Tae's chest, wiping her eyes. "Sorry, I'm overreacting."
"You aren't." Namjoon promised. "I can't believe they handled it like that. As if you would actually-"
Tae clicked him tongue in warning, and Namjoon stopped. "Anyways, we'll figure it out."
"Do you want to try and get some more sleep?" Jimin asked.
Sumi shrugged. "I doubt I'll be able, but I should try. We have a big day tomorrow."
"I just don't get it." Yoongi shook his head. "Did he just like...jump on you...or..."
Sumi shook her head. "I thought it was Hobi at first. I should've been more careful."
"You were sleeping, you weren't supposed to be anything." Tae reminded her. "Just, try and relax, okay. If you can't sleep, just watch a movie and take your mind off it."
"We'll watch a movie together, Noona." Jungkook offered. "And we can do face masks."
She nodded, trying to force a smile on her face. She didn't like crying in general, but there was nothing she hated more than Jungkook seeing her cry.
The other boys migrated back to their seats, all of them on edge. The manager returned at one point to whisper something to Namjoon, who gave a satisfied nod.
Jungkook picked a Disney movie, and pressed play on his and Sumi's screens at the same time. Sumi hugged her pillow as she watched, while Jungkook kept an eye on her. Eventually, her eyes started to drift shut, until she fell asleep just before Moana restored Te Fiti.
She didn't wake up again until the announcement came on that the plane was landing. She wearily rubbed sleep from her eyes, trying to wake herself up. She glanced across the aisle, seeing Jungkook still watching TV.
"Kookie?" She mumbled, sitting up. "Did you get any sleep?"
He shrugged. "I wasn't tired."
"Soo, they're going to take that guy off the plane first, okay? And then we get off." Namjoon leaned forward to tell her.
There was a slight commotion down the aisle, and Jungkook was instantly on his feet. Disregarding the lack of space, he smushed himself into Sumi's pod, completely blocking her from the aisle. She peeked out from around his shoulder as the man was led past, two flight attendants following him.
"See, he's gone." Jungkook told her with a smile.
Sumi gave him a tiny smile. "Now it's grammy time."
"Are you kidding me?" They heard Namjoon's voice. "They aren't going to do anything?"
"What are you talking about?" Hoseok asked, looking over to wear Namjoon was discussing with their manager.
Their manager sighed. "The company has elected not to press charges. They said it's probably not worth dealing with American legal stuff."
"They're doing nothing?" Sumi gasped.
"Call them again." Yoongi insisted. "You can't seriously just except-"
"It's been decided." Namjoon stated, though he looked anything but happy about it. "Let's just, try not to let this ruin our trip."
Sumi sniffled, but started packing her things. When they deboarded the plane, she pulled her mask over her face, trying to hide her emotions.
Jungkook, and the rest of the boys for that matter, were not doing as good of a job. The Maknae linked arms with her, and didn't let go even as they collected their luggage and moved past the fans. Tae kept shooting her worried glances, and Yoongi was just staring angrily at the ground. Jin even snapped at their manager, and was only pulled away by Hobi. Only Jimin and Namjoon mustered the energy to give more than a polite wave to fans, while Sumi just looked down, blinking back tears.
"Don't cry, Noona." Jungkook said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and using his bag to block her face. "That guy isn't worth it."
"This was supposed to be an awesome trip, and I've already -"
"You didn't do anything wrong." He insisted. "Please, Noona? I hate seeing you sad."
She gave a tiny smile, though he couldn't see it due to her mask. "Sorry."
"Just this once, I'll allow it." He patted her shoulder. "Can we get burgers tonight?"
"You can, I need to fit into my dress tomorrow."
"Burgers are the ultimate cheer-up food." Jungkook insisted. "You're eating at least one."
