DIN A2 space filled with 4 sheets of DIN A4 paper in 4 different colors.
Each DIN A4 sheet is split into pieces ranging from DIN A5 (largest) to DIN A11 (smallest). Each size from A5 to A10 exists one time per each color. A11 exists two times per each color. (I could have continued with splitting the A11 into two A12 tiles - but these would be too tiny for my clumsy hands to handle.)
I might create some mosaic patterns with this... (using some exchange algorithms... )

Here you go fellow gays enjoy some tranquil scenery with the favorite fruity robot ever. Spend a late night chatting with him on a balcony as the laughter rings out in the air. Can’t quite get any better then this
#uhhhh yea sorry about the lack of talking here—I know it’s not every day I’m left with zero thoughts to elaborate on#but it’s 11:46pm and the right side of my head loves to make me suffer#like I can’t think straight despite being sober. Either it’s sleep deprivation once again or simply a developing migraine#no clue!! and I’m not going to stay awake a second longer to figure that one out!! 🙃#anyways yea kinda lean to the headcannon of Puzzle’s being bisexual#he’s talked about being a ‘damsel magnet’ or whatever and that could read as him being into the feminine qualities#however he’s clearly not conventional in that heteronormativity#he’s just too fruity to ever be contained. you couldn’t slap the strait label on him even if ya tried#it’ll just peel right off like those cheap banana stickers#which can only mean one thing—that man’s gay AND European!!#cue the rest of the musical number#….help I’m going to black out genuinely#I can’t even feel my hands at this point uhhhh#hplonesome art#smg4 mr. puzzles#mr. puzzles smg4

Got a puzzle at the thrift store for $1 that's just a giant Ziploc bag of puzzle pieces, no reference photo or anything. Haven't counted the pieces, but based on my Extensive puzzle experience, I'm betting it's a 1000 piece puzzle (I'll confirm this once I have the border pieces together.)
So far from my sorting, I've pieced together (ha) that the puzzle contains at least three types of flowers: sunflowers, roses, and daisies, I think. There also seems to be a blonde lady somewhere in this puzzle, so my current guess is that the puzzle image is a blonde lady holding a bouquet of flowers. But maybe she's in a garden or something.
Anyway, I love doing mystery puzzles, thank you thrift store. I wish I found random mystery puzzles more often

philip marlowe update: had free roam of the living room (where she has a litter box available to her, although it’s technically Mack’s) while i cleaned her office and washed out her specific litter box. shut her back in the office for fifteen minutes while the litter box was drying outside so i could mop the living room. in that fifteen minutes she pissed somewhere in the office and i Cannot find where. ppl will be arriving at literally any second
#phil#emotional harm animal#at this point we use the nature’s miracle more like a deodorizer#if i were a clever bitch i would have gotten those cheap foam puzzle pads for the office instead of a rug but i did not realize#the amount of piss we would be dealing with#with this creature#i think this is triggered by the loose tom spraying into the office the other day#i think i have effectively blocked off the balcony and windowsills bc he has not been back

Didn't know people hated the question marks on the shirt collars/question marks on clothes on Four, Five, Six and Seven so much. 'its too comic-booky' 'its too cheap and tacky looking'. This is Doctor Who, you have bad taste and no whimsy in your soul.
#'its cheap looking' this os Doctor who. specifically classic who. they had a budget of five quid#and stealing from the local junkyard. its cheap and you'll fucking like it#puzzling posts

fault
↳ faruzan × arin × sethos (though this is more arin-centric than shippy)
↳ 600+ words
↳ trying to conceptualize arin's character more, and i ended up with this. now there's angst with no resolution🥳 (so far) i might rewrite this for something bigger but i wanted to get the idea out of my head first. im not sure how well people might understand this without context but. i hope there's an inkling at least?
Everything hurt. From the pounding in Arin's head to the soreness of his legs. He expected that, having only woken up several hours ago. But there he sat, late in the night, already dressed to leave. He just had one thing left to check.
Watching Faruzan wake up beside him, he imagined she was feeling somewhat similar.
"Hey, dummy."
Faruzan grimaced, cringing away from even the barest streaks of moonlight from her window. She turned left and right in confusion, hair mussing up around her head.
"Wh-What? Arin?"
Arin simply shook his head. He released a gentle wave of Cryo energy to his fingertips, ghosting his hands over her forehead and scalp to help her relax.
"We're fine, we're fine. I just wanted to see if you'd.." He paused, then shook his head. "Nevermind. Just go back to sleep."
When he was confident she had fallen back asleep, he spoke up once more, now more or less just playing with the uneven strands of hair framing her head. He retracted his hand, reaching to his side to pick up his sheathed sword.
"Sorry, Paruparo. I won't be here when you wake up, I don't think."
He caught a glimpse of the view outside the window. A city perched atop the gargantuan Divine Tree, and the rainforest that surrounded it. None of which was familiar anymore. As far as Arin could tell, everything he knew was inside this room. And he hoped she was sleeping well, despite his intrusion.
"I will return tomorrow. After they've.. told you everything." He secured his sheath to his belt, turning to leave.
—
"Hey." Someone said. Arin was too entrenched in sleep to care who, though they're only could be one person. The bitter remains of a forgotten dream clung to the recesses of his mind, ruining his mood before he could decide what it was even supposed to be. "You're burning up."
"Mmph."
Sethos's light eyeroll was audible in his tone. "Come on.."
Honestly, he was probably right. Arin did feel more exhausted than usual. Maybe warm. He wasn't sure. Wasn't it always warm in Sumeru?
"I think we need to camp out a bit longer."
That got Arin's eyes open. He shook his head as much as he was able (which was, very feebly).
"I'll be fine."
"No, no, no." Sethos held him down him by the shoulders just as he was about to get up. Sunbeams poured down over Sethos's head, resembling a halo with the soft lavender skylight of Vanarana. "No."
Arin had to squint at him to filter out the light. "I'm fine."
"No, you are most definitely not."
"We need to help Rana.." Arin groused.
"We do." Sethos nodded. "But, no offense, you're not going to be much of help to her or anyone trying to travel in your condition."
Arin could only muster a huff. To his own dismay, he already found himself too tired to continue his argument, and all too willing to slip back into slumber.
"We need to help Rana." He repeated, considerably weaker than before; more rueful than anything.
"This is just one obstacle." His companion reassured. "Just rest well. We'll be back on the road in no time."
Sethos's knuckles pressed against Arin's forehead to gauge the temperature. His skin held a soft sort of warmth.
Sethos began to mumble to himself as Arin drifted off. The words were lost on him. Something about Sumeru City being too far. Something about the sky. Something about vision.
"Sorry." Arin murmured in his drowsiness. Notably, Sethos went silent. "I did it again."
"Did what?" Sethos asked.
"Stepped.. I stepped on the pressure plate." Arin mumbled. "I hope we don't stay stuck here too long."
Sethos paused, eyebrows knitting together in thought.
"You know.. it's not your fault. For getting sick."
Arin only hummed, Sethos's voice echoing as he finally fell asleep.

i can't believe artemis fowl missed out on the mid to late 2000's tradition so many middle grade or YA book series fell into of having a vaguely cash grab-esque nintendo ds game made about it. i want to play as the characters running around in the plot of the first book
#would it be a good game? probably not but that's part of the aesthetic#i looked it up and saw there was a ds related thing where you could read the book and solve puzzles (?) which is cool#but i need one of those hastily thrown together cheap rpgs that used to come out#artemis fowl

munashiro at christmas but Adolf gives himself as a gift for Reisi (it could be in a sexy way or not).
I’m trying to think of a way this could be non-sexy without it being a cheap way to get out of giving a real gift XD Imagine this as a post-ROK thing where Munakata has made his interest known but Shiro is taking things very slowly, because he feels like his main focus should be on seeing his duty through as Silver King and personal relationships need to take more of a back seat. He’s not completely overlooking his own needs, it’s more that Shiro can see that the destruction of the Slate has the potential to throw Japan into chaos and as both a person who originally ran away from his duty and also the best friend of Kokujouji Daikaku, the man who sacrificed so much in Shiro’s place to keep the Slate controlled, Shiro should also be the one to handle the aftermath. Munakata disagrees with this, feeling that he and Shiro can at least share this duty together, and while Shiro appreciates that he feels like at least in this immediate aftermath he can’t focus on his own feelings right now.
So then Christmas comes and Shiro and Munakata are planning to spend it together for the first time. Shiro has been wracking his brain for what kind of gift he can give Munakata, discussing with Kuroh and Neko what would be a good gift for the King who has everything. Kuroh is aware of how close Shiro and Munakata have become and he mentions that in this case a gift from the heart may be best, something to show Munakata how Shiro really feels. Shiro realizes that he never did give Munakata a proper answer to his feelings and decides it really is time to do something for himself again. As he and Munakata are exchanging gifts imagine Shiro just holds out a hand to Munakata and says ‘I wanted to give you..me, I guess.’ Munakata looks curious and Shiro says he’s been so focused on being the Silver King, making up for what he ran away from, and Munakata’s supported him all the way. So now, with things calming down and having finally time to confront his own feelings, Shiro is giving himself to Munakata — his whole self and his heart, if Munakata is still willing to accept them. (Also he bought Munakata a puzzle too just in case, Munakata laughs and leans in for a kiss as he says he will take both presents, if that is all right.)
#Munashiro#Talking K#I wanted to try the more difficult version#how to make yourself a gift without seeming just cheap#like the coworker I had whose MIL gave her kids empty boxes at Xmas and said they were 'boxes of love'#Shiro did buy a puzzle too he's not a monster

I feel like some of you doubt when I say things like I loved these games when I was a kid or I played them when I was younger. Well, in firing up Hotel Dusk, I finally have proof! On July 9, 2009, it was a month before my twelfth birthday.
Hotel Dusk was the first puzzle game I played that then introduced me to Ace Attorney, which then led to Layton. I have over 40 hours of gameplay saved on that file, and I remember buying it with my Christmas money, so I spent a lot of time in the world of Hotel Dusk and with these characters when I was still rather young.
#hotel dusk: room 215#hotel dusk#HD my beloved#god I just love this game so fucking much#and I know the majority of people who follow me don’t really know it#y’all should fix that as soon as you can#it is an INCREDIBLE game and you can get used copies pretty cheap!#if you like AA and PL I can almost guarantee you’ll like HD#for all its puzzles and it’s flawed but loveable characters#ranging from melissa who acts like a brat sometimes#to the motherly rosa#Louie who’s got a checkered past but is doing the best he can#and if you like Wrightworth you’re gonna love the latent homoeroticism between Kyle and Bradley#pls just play hotel dusk it’s so unique and so good and so special#and this is actually a second copy i bought after i lost my first one so my introduction to it was actually BEFORE this#this is just my earliest record of it#queue takumi defense squad

Convinced Christopher Nolan paid all of you off to give The Prestige that many 10/10 reviews, convinced Christopher Nolan cloned himself a thousand times to give his own movie that many 10/10 reviews, some of you are lying to cinema and to yourselves
#the prestige spoilers#yes I'm spoiler tagging an 18 year old movie#do you think a film bro will fight me i'm sorry but that was not necessarily bad but like so incongruous and honestly unnecessary#and like out of place. not to mention a cheap and bizarre copout to the “suspense” they built#like genuinely just... just a puzzling plot choice? that really didn't fit in or need to be there#not in an oh big shocking twist ooh way just in a huh you're just gonna toss THAT in here now that's what you're going with really#like it would be fine without that? there were so many better more clever ways it could go...#but no... okay whatever okay sure#ignore me again#i just want to ramble#this is in the 1001 movies to see before you die list and it's like eh honestly i could've gone without seeing it#it didn't even capture the horror of *that* very well it was just like oh yeah that's a thing that's the big showstopper and it's like eehh

Its kind of funny when I compare what the fandom thinks to my current ranking of the 4 zelda games I've played, where ocarina of time is currently chilling in last place
(My ranking goes
1. Breath of the wild
2. A link to the past
3. Tears of the Kingdom
4. Ocarina of time)
#i think its because i had trouble playing it#it was my first older game and i s2g it expects you to be psychic about some puzzles#my 3ds also decided to die and my controller wasnt compatible with the emulator so i tried to play with a keyboard#until i found another emulator that was compatible with my controller#i had to restart it 3 times#plus i had to wait for months already for a 2nd hand cartidge that was cheap enough#why are people selling a 2nd hand game that is a decade old remake of a 25 year old game for $50aud#loz#zelda

I solved the unlocked sudoku! It was pretty challenging, but now I’m in your inbox like I’m outside Rentaro’s shed begging for more puzzles
Congrats on solving!
I have a few other puzzles out there, with ranging difficulty
Getting Knotty: German whispers, region sums, and renban lines. Tested pretty solidly at a 2/5 on difficulty
What is this Feeling?: German whispers and renban lines. This one is older and has been solved but wasn’t ranked for difficulty; I think it’s on the simpler side. Note that caged cells contain a secret but serve no purpose in solving the puzzle
We’re Off (To See the Wizard): German whispers, entropic lines, and partial kropki. This tested higher than I expected on difficulty at a 3.4/5
And for anyone else, the mentioned puzzle It’s Unlocked from the most recent Clue Crew zine, featuring German whispers and killer cages, intended to also be on the simpler side
For a wider range of puzzles, check out dailykillersudoku.com or the studio goya app Killer Sudoku or Cracking the Cryptic – the Killer Sudoku app is paid but has zero ads while the Cracking the Cryptic app has some free sample sudokus with a variety of variants and then a number of paid packs, again with no ad. Searching “generally approachable sudoku” will also yield a number of interesting puzzles that aren’t too difficult
#nd#sudoku#clue crew zine#clue crew#clue crew zine done cheap#I've got some puzzles I've shelved for not being as clean as I'd like so I might post those eventually--stay sleuthy!

IT HAS BEEN A WHILE since i have made a proper ramble on here BUT.
bttf the game.
i've been replaying it recently and i forgot how insane it was. the story is SO DAMN GOOD and now i'm going to explain why i think that the citizen brown timeline was, in my opinion, an even worse timeline for marty to experience than 1985a.
(game spoilers ahead!)
so we all know that what caused the citizen brown timeline (we'll call it 1986b) to exist: emmett marries edna strickland and she gets him obsessed with law and order and using his science to control people's psyche. this results in edna and emmett being the totalitarian rulers of hill valley when marty comes back to the 1980s.
doc's face is everywhere, telling people to sign up for citizen plus. he's an idol for everyone. and i'm sure that emmett, after all of his failures, is pretty proud of that. he probably thinks that life in law is the only thing that made him successful and science was a bad idea anyway lol. anyway this is not the point.
marty enters and discovers this new hill valley. it's all clean and neat and at first glance doesn't seem as bad. there's no crime like in 1985a, in fact, there's no danger at ALL. nobody's going to shoot you or roll you over with a motorcycle.
marty, though, knows everyone in this timeline but also. doesn't. his parents both are alive. jennifer is alive (though changed significantly), and doc is alive too. and marty needs to find him.
but doc does not know marty.
imagine being a teenage kid who has had this man as your only support system for your entire youth only for him to become a complete stranger when you need him the most? this is fucked up, and we see it in marty's reactions when he eventually goes to citizen brown's office and tries to convince him he's a time traveler. marty talks to him like he'd usually talk to doc, only in this case, it's the wrong way. he gets yelled at when he tries to address an issue in hill valley.
do you think marty ever got yelled at by doc. no.
marty is, in fact, partly scared of this doc: his voice grows quiet when doc silences him in that cellar where we eventually find edna with all her monitors, and he's careful when he talks to him. of course, he wants his timeline to be restored, but he needs any version of doc to do so and he's got to work with what he gets.
i think the worst and most messed up part of 1986b is that, in comparison to 1985a, you would not expect it to exist. would you expect biff to try and get himself rich as soon as possible? yes, sure. biff is a butthead and everyone knows that.
would you expect doc, the smart, kind, father-figure in the films to become such a drastically changed person to the point that not even marty can trust him anymore and who essentially becomes an antagonist? i don't think so.
marty was completely taken aback by this entire thing and has to navigate through this strange timeline by himself. he has ZERO allies in this one. everyone either is confused by him, doesn't know him or even dislikes him.
if i were him i'd honestly cry lmao
another huge thing about 1985a and 1986b are the ways they get erased.
all it took for 1985a was to get a book back from biff. that's it, that's all this timeline hinges on. marty gets it and burns it, and done.
but 1986b? damn. that's a thousand times more complex. you've gotta convince young emmett to dump someone who he genuinely is in love with and who keeps him motivated. bonus, you even caused this relationship to happen in first place.
i'm pretty sure it was easier for marty to just steal a book than to go and break his best friend's heart to get said best friend back.
marty knows what he wants, but citizen brown almost talks him out of it. we get another glimpse at marty's selfless personality; he wants his timeline back, but what about the doc who's standing in front of him? is this worth the risk of losing the doc he has only to try and get back the version he knows?
marty is hurt when emmett literally tells him he hates him and when he's faced with the fact that he, in fact, has ruined doc's youth instead of making it better. what is this boy supposed to feel. yes, he will get the doc back he knows, but at what cost? he will forever have to live with the fact that, at some point in his life, doc loathed him.
him, the boy who eventually become his best and most loyal friend, hell, even family.
this HURTS. marty collects trauma like pokemon cards
AND LISTEN. the final episode. when citizen brown gets hit by that car to get marty out of the way. we all thought he was AGAINST marty's intentions but then he fucking saves his life with absolutely no hesitation?? then he lies there and dies while marty holds his hand and grieves him????
telltale whY MUST YOU HURT ME LIKE THIS
marty mourns this strange doc because it was still doc in a way and all marty wanted the entire goddamn time was to save doc and get back HOME and instead he gets more PAIn
marty even ends up confusing emmett for doc when he steps out of the expo hall because marty just. he just wants to have his bff back for fuck's sake and emmett is also alredy his bff and he only wants the best for him even though emmett thought differently.
i can't even begin to express how happy i am about the fact that marty and the ACTUAL, REAL doc get to hug at the end. if only it had lasted longer than 2 seconds.
THIS WAS A MASSIVE RANT but i have been rotating these thoughts in my brain for the past week or so. enjoy.
bttf the game is a fantastic addition to the franchise, it makes me FEEL THINGS and i absolutely love how we, instead of like in the first film where we had to fix the relationship between marty's parents, we have to fix the relationship between the main characters which we all thought was pretty much unbreakable in the movies. a+ stuff right there.
play bttf the game if you haven't. and then go write some fanfics about it please there aren't many and this is a CRIME. i gotta love me some game content
#bttf#back to the future#bttf the game#back to the future the game#marty mcfly#doc brown#this game HURTS ok im not even kidding#it may seem like some cheap graphics puzzle game but i have EMOTIONS#the first time i played it i was an absolute trainwreck#i was literally crying in front of my computer#my parets where in the next room#bttf is a silly time travel film but is actually so deep and thought through it PAINS me (in a good way)#doc and marty
