Berlioz recognized her as the girl Toulouse brought around once or twice. He didn’t remember her name but he knew her face. It wasn’t clear if he should approach her or not, so for a moment he went back to his notebook with scribbled out lines and and words messily scratched all over the paper. He looked down, hoping she wouldn’t see him and wrote and drank his coffee for a few moments in peace. It had been another rough night the evening before and he knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep if he tried. So, he was there just as the cafe had opened, not having really slept a wink. He was surprised she was there this early. He was surprised with how many people were awake that early, actually. Berlioz was tired, but the coffee helped. He thought maybe he should have gotten a snack to go with it as his stomach growled, but continued his focus on his notebook. He wanted another coffee but feared if he stood up she would notice him. So, he pulled his phone up and ordered from his phone, leaving special instructions on the app to deliver it to his table. When they called out his name though he froze and looked up. Berlioz knew there was not a possibility there was another with his name in that room and when he stood up he could feel eyes on him. He didn’t look anywhere but straight as he walked up to the counter, suddenly feeling very anxious and like he needed to run out of there. He grabbed his coffee and quickly walked back but ended up tripping on his shoelace and falling right in front of Celine. His coffee went flying across the floor, but he didn’t even care. He was more mortified by the fact the whole cafe was staring at him now. Berlioz couldn’t even move for a moment but he had let out a groan when he hit the ground. He pushed himself up into a sitting position and rubbed his knee. “Uh, h-hi,” he finally muttered out when he looked up at her.

It had been a rough time since Adam’s run in with Lottie. He’d been distant with most of his friends and spent most of his time at home or in a bar he knew they wouldn’t find him at. That night was a really rough one for him. He’d gotten belligerently drunk, almost to the point of foolishness but a lot of guilt and regret overpowered that. He wasn’t sure what time it was or how he had managed to even get to Celine’s front door. He just knew he needed her. No one else would understand, he thought. Adam had stumbled up to her door and grabbed against the brick of the building to catch himself. He leaned against the door frame and rapidly knocked a few times in a row. When she finally he answered he just stared at her with a solemn look in his eyes. “I know it is late,” he said, his words slurring a bit. “B-but I saw her,” he said his voice cracking a little already. He didn’t want to even say her name. It felt like poison on his tongue. “And...it wasn’t pretty,” he said with sigh. He tried to stand up straight but stumbled again and found himself clutching to the open door. “Can I please come in? I didn’t wake the little guy, did I?”

Claude supposed that all of his friends were going through a bit of a time, because Celine was yet another one to reach out to him asking to vent. It wasn’t that he minded being there for his friends, but it was a bit much trying to put everything on his schedule at once. The only time he could be sure about meeting Celine was at Chip’s bedtime, which was approximately when the sun hit his fence at the top. “I think he’s down?” he said, hoping that he’d put his friend’s child to bed correctly after years of doing it; he was still wary about how well he was a surrogate father to Chip. “Okay, now that we have the child taken care of, spill it. Figuratively, I mean. Not the wine.”

[PM] I had a nice weekend. Cooked a lot, surprisingly. And it all tasted good, which is even more of a surprise. I usually burn food a lot or it tastes terrible. So success. Any plans this week?
[PM] Not a good cook then? I guess that deserves an applause... that sounded a lot more sexiest than I intended and I’m so sorry.... But not that I know. What about you?

Claude was not a fan of children, but there was one that was an exception to him, and that was Chip. He was one of Cogsworth’s favorite people, and when Celine said that she would be bringing him to the carnival, Claude was quite excited. “Don’t tell me you’ve already handed him off to Blaise,” he said disappointedly as he found his friend on the boardwalk. “Not that it’s not lovely to see you, too. But, you know, I was here for Chip. If anyone, I’m the only uncle he should be spending time with at a pride event,” he teased.
