progressively watching and rewatching miraculous ladybug as i get older means that i no longer get so annoyed when the show sucks because its part of the charm at this point but the one thing that consistently irks me no matter what is hawkmoth/ladybug/chat noir’s costume designs. chat’s is the least annoying but both marinette and gabriel are literal fashion designers and yet look even worse than him. you could have so much fun with the costumes (see: literally every other subsequent miraculous holder we’ve seen other than those three!) and so to have theeeee main costumes be so bland and ugly is like. Agh

#brot watches miraculous ladybug #even just adding a few black parts to ladybug’s suit would do SO MUCH to improve her design #like she really doesnt need anything complicated. just ANYTHING other than just red with black dots #wheres the pizazz theres literlaly nothing happening there 😭😭#and hawkmoth is just a normal business suit with that weird ass fucking face cap #would love to see some actual butterly/moth motifs in there #give him wings or some shit idfk #chat noir’s got his little cat collar bell thingy its cute so yeah #anyway chat’s vaguely annoys me because while his outfit isnt as bad as ladybug and hawkmoth #it is ultimately really plain. just like. plain black. whatever #but then again he kinda rocks plain black and theres enough subtle detailing in there that it kinda works #idk yknow like complicated feelings on his costume.#couldve done more with it i feel like - but its still leagues better than ladybug and hawkmoth’s outfits
