HOLD ME TIGHT

Fred was half asleep when he heard the bedroom door open and close quietly. He didn’t need to open his eyes or turn his head to know who it was you. Who else could it have been?

As he felt your weight shift on the bed, he was just about to drift off to sleep when he felt something resting on his chest. Opening his eyes, he looked down to see you with your head on his chest. A lazy smile lit up his face as he watched you before asking: “Love I adore you in so many ways but I’ve got to ask, what are you doing?”

“You took all the pillows so I’m using you as one.” You replied without looking up at him.

He let out a chuckle at your response. The sight before him was truly adorable in his opinion but he knew that it couldn’t have been comfortable.

“Come up here darling. You’ll strain yourself neck laying like that.” He said as he extended his arms out. You listened and laid down, his arms wrapping around your waist as he placed kisses at the crook of your neck.

His arms wrapped around you waist loosely as he quickly drifted off to sleep though you couldn’t quite blame him. Everything has been hectic as of lately with the brewing and trying to keep Harry safe. You stayed awake for a little longer, listening to his calm breathing as he peacefully slept. It’s been a long time he’d ever seemed this peaceful and wished that you could just stay like this forever. Together in his arms as he was finally at ease for the day expect you knew it could never happen, or right now at least. 

You’d have to fight through the war before you could finally be at peace with the world and each-other so for now, as you laid in his arms, you snuggled closer to his and smiled when he instinctively pulled you closer. 

If only you knew what fate had in store for the two of you, than maybe, just maybe, would you have held him a little tighter that night.

I don't drink coffee lol. I can't stand the taste, though I did try to figure out how I liked it (and at the time I was trying w/ cold brew) but I wasn't able to make anything that had an acceptable amount of coffee taste for me
