"nobara, i don't understand-" you hiccupped through your tears. mucus dripping down you nose as tears came dribbling nonstop. nobara sighed, grumbling something beneath her breath before crouching down to your level.

"don't cry over him, [name]. it's just a pink fuck anyways." she smiled lightly, sliding her fingers through your hair. it was an hour in after yuuji decided to break up with you. you couldn't understand. what happened? what did you do wrong? not too long ago, he told you how perfect you were - how much he loved you.

"nobara - he said he loved me! yuuji said it while kissing my forehead and holding me tightly!" you continued sobbing. grabbing at your hair and pulling it harshly. "emphasize on how you said 'loved' [name]." she sighed. you crumbled into more tears when you heard her words. your chest heaved as you reached for the bed rails as support.

"i'm sorry, [name]. i can't have you all delusional over someone like him." "nobara - please. i love him, nobara. i love him so much." you wailed out. "okay? does he love you back?" she replied, with slight annoyance.

"oh." was all you could squeeze out of your vocal chords. you weren't the only one upset. nobara was too. maybe yuuji broke up with you because you were so, selfish. or is it because you weren't pretty enough? or was it because you weren't jennifer lawrence? oh that reasoning is so silly.  you didn't know.

a few hours later, you were laying in bed with puffy, red eyes and a tear stained cheek. nobara had left a while ago, telling you to sleep.  oh, if you haven't said that you loved him. maybe it would've been better if you two didn't date to begin with. just, unrequited love. even though he had in fact loved you back. maybe it would have ended better than this.
