endlessly fascinated by the way my mum keeps correcting us every time we speak with a pretty normal accent for where we live. like babes if you didnt want me and my siblings talking like british people you shoulda brought us up somewhere else

#amazed that she found a way to do classism against her own family. there should be an award for that i think #just stuff like dropping t's or saying babes and innit... those are normal ways to talk #chas vshalom the working class sound like they're working class #it is so interesting to me though #cus like her dad was a factory worker living in the east end. and her mum was the typa person to send her to fucking etiquette lessons #like mum do you not see how you telling me to talk posher is the same as your mum making you balance books on your head
