As much as I liked the new exorcist movie, there is a few things that I need to point out.

I wish we had more scenes of Katherine before she got possessed, her death wasn't that impactful.

I think that Chris became an expert on exorcisms as a way for her to better understand what happened to Regan.

Chris being blinded by possessed Katherine was completely uncalled for, in my opinion.

I wish we had more confirmation about wether the demon was Pazuzu or another demon.

I did like how they combined the various religions to exorcise the girls. I thought they would do something like that when I saw the trailer.

I didn't like the movie that much but I agree with your points. We see very little of Katherine or her past just that her family is religious to kind of counter Angela's home life being non religious. I agree with you about why Chris became an expert I'm just not sure it felt right in my opinion? If I remember right (and I could be totally remembering this wrong because it's been a while since I saw the first one) in the first exorcist movie they leave at the end to get away from what happened, and while that's a very understandable action I'm not sure why someone who wants to get away from it all decides to commit their life to understanding it.

I agree that the blinding was uncalled for, it felt like throwing a legacy character into peril just for the sake of shock. Also without the confirmation of pazuzu it feels like all of the exorcist related material is sort of just tacked onto the tail end of the film. Like this could have been a plain old exorcism genre movie without the famous predecessor's name attached. It felt like they called it an exorcist movie just to get people to come out and watch it. But it was really interesting the spin they put on it by including different faiths yeah!

Over all I just wasn't particularly fond of the movie but that doesn't mean I don't see and agree with a lot of your points!

Just thought I should say that I finally watched Rob Zombie's The Munsters, and I enjoyed it.

There were some parts that got a chuckle out of me and it is nice that the Munsters have finally got their shot in the limelight, after so much Addams family media, and i hope that Zombie makes another Munsters movie.

The one issue that I have is that even though I liked how bright and colourful it was, although Herman was a bit too green for my liking. I can't help but think the movie might have been better if it was shot in black and white, with a little bit of colour in it.

Rob has unfortunately stated he's not planning to do a sequel or anything, whether because that was always his plan or he's discouraged by the ridiculous overreacting from that Internet. I'm holding out hope though. Perhaps he'll change his mind, or else he'll inspire someone else to take up the mantle. It actually did well- it was on Netflix's top ten for a week and iirc was the #1 most sold dvd on Amazon. Quite a few people enjoyed it. The Munsters have been put on the back burner for an awfully long time and I think they deserve another work made. 🖤

@lovejapan55 brings up a really interesting point as well as @s-c-h-l-e-a ! I do really like the idea that it coulf be future King, which could almost make sense! He could be waving to Luz in an attempt to let her know things are gonna be alright, sounds like a very king thing to do.

I do also like @charlesthekomododragon s idea though, even though we know the door itself was merely discovered by Belos, the realm itself could have some form of Guardian, but thats begs the question as to why it's waving at Luz? I wanna skim through the show again to see if any hints of other creatures can be found in that strange dimension- If only we could have more show to pan out a better explanation :/ thanks disney

but it still doesn't help with what it could be. Humanoid, and it looked like it was waving, but that's all I really got. Though if you squint it looks like it could have a beard of some sort as well- I don't know if theres any hints as to what it could be before this episode, though.

Getting a second look, it also looks like it's sticking through some kinda portal itself? It's legs are short but look more cut-off by something than stubby or maybe just bent weird. But the "horns" (what look like horns at least) and wings are throwing me off. Anyone have any ideas?
