Top 3 wines? 👀🍷
Oh shit this is so hard!
3. 2022 Clos Cibonne, "Tradition" Tibouren Rose, Côtes de Provence, France
This is a serious rosé. It's still in the Provençal tradition - light and very dry - but this one edges from summer on into fall with notes of dried currants, cranberries, and bitter almond. It's aged under flor yeast, as Manzanilla sherry is, which minimizes the wine's exposure to oxygen and imparts a slightly salty and nutty aroma. It's made from 90% Tibouren and 10% Grenache grapes.
2. 2021 François Mikulski "Les Meix Chavaux" Meursault, Burgundy, France
I was lucky enough to get to taste this at an event a few months ago. This is an incredible wine from an incredible producer. Completely made from Chardonnay grapes, it's an intense, luscious wine with notes of apricots, peaches, white flowers, and almonds. This basically ruined me for the rest of white Burgundy, it's that fucking good.
1. Vilmart et Cie, "Grand Cellier", 1er Cru, Champagne, France
This is my current sparkling wine obsession. Aggressively effervescent in the way I like best, this has very fine bubbles that attack your palate with flavors of brioche and green apple. I've been telling my mom that I think the most amazing thing to pair with this would be a granny smith apple pie with cheddar melted on top. This is a delicious grower-champagne, a category of wines made not by major producer houses such as Veuve Cliquot, but instead by the wine-growing farmers themselves.
I'm just now realizing all my top picks are French. This wasn't intentional! I really waffled and nearly chose a Catena Zapata Malbec from Argentina or the Fontelloro Super-Tuscan that I'm obsessed with. Oh well

Cheers to being wine drunk 🍷what's your favorite kind of wine?
well i call myself a white wine person over red but at this time of year i do like a nice red especially a spiced red wine. i think i like malbec best for reds but i don’t really have the same opinions i do for white
but for white i generally go for a sav blanc, i dont tend to like pinot grigio too much and i really don’t like chardonnay (apart from one lovely chardonnay i had at a gluten free italian restaurant interestingly)
rose i dont tend to drink but have nothing against and sparkling i’ll drink anything.
what i think about ALL the time however is a gorgeous orange dessert wine my grandad had one christmas. that was stunning.

wine isn't her favorite drink. it isn't even in her top ten. but that's most likely why this date was arranged. research, if you will. just in case a mission should arise in which she desperately needs to know the key difference between a chardonnay and a pinot grigio, or the true secret to a full-bodied bottle as opposed to a frail one. still, alec's gift for persuasion is bewitching. how else could he have convinced the folks upstairs to grant them the funding for an extra week in the south of italy, exclusively to perfect their grasp of the culture, the food, the language, and the wine.
she sits at one of the tall barrel tables, a wall of five glasses in varying hues of red dividing her from @forjanus, with a small circular board of assorted cheeses and fruits to the side.
🍷 to go wine tasting with my muse.

" we could've gone to eat carbonara by the colosseum. or gelato on the spanish steps. i'm genuinely quite happy to let you be the extravagantly detailed wine connoisseur and collected of rare, vintage numbers, while i'm just "the wife". i'm happy to let tanner's terrible character outlines victimize me if it means that i don't need to spend the next three hours-- "
" cinque. "
" fi-- fucks sake, five hours? " she turns to see where the guide disappeared to, then returns her pointed gaze to the five grapes and four cubes of assorted cheeses on the platter. " at the devastating risk of letting this go to your head, i think you're the only reason i'm sitting here. "

🗣️🇫🇷Description du domaine @maisonauvigue 🗣️🇫🇷

🗣️🇬🇧Description of @maisonauvigue 🗣️🇬🇧
You are not born into the Auvigue family without having a heart that beats for the terroirs of Pouilly-Fuissé. For a very long time, the footsteps of Sylvain Brenas-Auvigue, great-grandson of the founder of the eponymous house, have crisscrossed the vineyards surrounding the villages of Pouilly and Fuissé.
The latter took over Maison Auvigue in 2016. Above all, he loves the Mâconnais Sud and its vines. It is in this setting, around the Roche de Solutré, that the vineyards, veritable aroma organs, produce grapes that will give birth to remarkable wines. It is because he has followed their development campaign after campaign, that he has accompanied the transformation of the grapes of each of them, that Sylvain knows by heart each of the plots he cultivates. Whether it's the 8 hectares of "Pouilly-Fuissé" owned or those of his friends and winegrower partners, who have been collaborating with Maison Auvigue for a very long time.
In the vineyard, he provides constant attention. Céline Hirsch, who joined him in the adventure in 2018, is in charge of the vineyard and the cellar work. Both are on the same wavelength: no concessions and few compromises! This approach is also valid in the cellar. For both, each intervention must be justified and reduced to the strict minimum, whether conventional or organic.
No question of covering the tracks, the wines must have the free field to reveal themselves.
The gaze falls on the barrels that protect the precious nectars, the ear strains to listen to the evolution of the wine.

👁️:
Abito giallo dorato
👃:

🗣️🇮🇹Descrizione i @maisonauvigue 🗣️🇮🇹

🍇 Coche-Dury: Crafting Liquid Poetry in Burgundy’s Heartland 🍷
Nestled in the quaint village of Meursault, where Burgundy’s golden slopes ripple with vineyards, Domaine Coche-Dury stands as a beacon of artisanal winemaking. For decades, this family-run estate has produced wines of such precision, depth, and haunting beauty that they’ve become the stuff of legend among oenophiles and collectors. Join us as we uncork the story behind one of Burgundy’s most revered producers.

A Legacy Rooted in Family
Founded in the 1920s by Léon Coche, the domaine merged with the Dury family through marriage, cementing its name as Coche-Dury. Today, under the stewardship of Jean-François Coche (son of Georges Coche, who elevated the estate’s reputation in the mid-20th century), the domaine remains fiercely committed to tradition. With fewer than 10 hectares of vines, their tiny production is a testament to quality over quantity—every bottle is a labor of love.
The Philosophy: Precision Meets Patience
Coche-Dury’s wines are celebrated for their purity and tension, a reflection of meticulous farming and minimalist winemaking:
Organic Practices: Though not certified, the domaine avoids chemicals, tending vines by hand to ensure low yields and optimal ripeness.
Hand-Harvested Excellence: Grapes are picked at perfect maturity, often later than neighbors, balancing richness with vibrant acidity.
Natural Fermentation: Native yeasts and extended lees aging in seasoned oak barrels (rarely more than 25% new) create wines of texture and complexity.
Time is Everything: Bottling occurs only after 18–24 months of élevage, allowing flavors to harmonize naturally.
Jean-François famously says, “The wine must speak of its terroir—not the winemaker.”
Iconic Wines: The Crown Jewels of Burgundy
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
The crown jewel. From the hallowed slopes of Corton-Charlemagne, this Chardonnay is a masterclass in power and finesse. Think layers of lemon zest, toasted hazelnuts, and crushed stones, framed by a spine of electrifying acidity. It ages for decades, evolving into a symphony of honey and petrol.
Meursault Premier Cru (Les Perrières, Genevrières)
Meursault is often dubbed “the queen of white Burgundy,” and Coche-Dury’s Premier Crus reign supreme. Les Perrières dazzles with laser-like minerality, while Genevrières offers opulent stone fruit and a creamy, saline finish.
Meursault Villages
Even their “humble” village-level wine transcends expectations—a harmonious blend of orchard fruits, buttered brioche, and a whisper of flint.
Rare Reds: Volnay & Monthélie
Though whites steal the spotlight, their Pinot Noirs (Volnay and Monthélie) are underrated gems—elegant, fragrant, and silken.
The Cult of Coche: Why Collectors Obsess
Coche-Dury’s wines are notoriously scarce, with allocations fiercely fought over. Their reluctance to expand or modernize has only heightened their mystique. A bottle of Corton-Charlemagne can command thousands at auction, while even their village Meursault is a unicorn find. Yet, for those lucky enough to taste them, the experience is unforgettable—a reminder of Burgundy’s ability to bottle magic.
Tasting Notes: A Glimpse of Heaven
2019 Meursault Les Narvaux: A burst of white peach, lemon curd, and wet limestone, lifted by a spine of freshness.
2016 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru: Youthful but profound, with hints of ginger, toasted almond, and a finish that lingers like a sonnet.
Visiting Coche-Dury: A Pilgrimage for Wine Lovers
The domaine remains discreet, prioritizing relationships with longtime clients. While tastings are rare, a visit to Meursault offers a chance to stroll the hallowed vineyards and savor the region’s charm. Pair your trip with stops at nearby icons like Domaine Roulot or Côte d’Or’s Michelin-starred tables.
Final Thoughts: The Essence of Burgundy
Coche-Dury isn’t just a winery—it’s a philosophy. In a world chasing trends, they remain a bastion of tradition, proving that greatness lies in patience, respect for the land, and uncompromising craft. Whether you’re sipping a village-level gem or a grand cru masterpiece, each glass whispers the story of Burgundy’s soul.
Have you experienced the magic of Coche-Dury? Share your thoughts in the comments!

📜🇨🇵Description du Domaine 📜🇨🇵 :

🇬🇧📜Description of the Domain📜🇬🇧
☑️In 1929, a group of winegrowers decided to pool their tools and their know-how to create a wine-making and marketing cellar for red wines from the upper Aude valley. White will come later.
They choose the name Anne de Joyeuse in homage to the Duke of Joyeuse, who was the first to promote the region at the court of King Henry III. In exchange for his loyal services, the king offered him the Lordship and the lands of Limoux.
In 1972, they decided to plant Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet -Franc, Malbec for the red grape varieties, Chardonnay and Sauvignon for the white grape varieties. These varieties, perfectly adapted to the Limoux terroir, benefit from the crossing of influences from the four terroirs: Mediterranean, Oceanic, Pyrenean and Autan✅.

.
📜In sintesi📜:

I bianchi verranno dopo.
