#charactors vs actors

When I watch Glee, I only see the characters, not the actors. Maybe that's just how I watch things. It could have been helped by the fact that they cast actors who weren't widely known, so for anyone who watched it when it first aired, you only knew the characters.

But it means that, for me, whatever the actors do, or say, or say about each other, it doesn't affect the characters if it isn't something that was written into the show. Like, yes, Santana got a boob job, because it was in the show. Heather had a baby, but Brittany didn't. And the same for more serious things.

I'm a fan of Harry Shum, Jr. But when I watch Glee, that's Mike Chang.

of course! thats so stupid for people to be rude just because you have oong messages, screw them.  I love talking about my interests and rambling, so I know how it sucks total ass when people get mad or make fun of you that :/  especially when it’s on text, you pretty much need to be as specific and long and precise as possible so people don’t take it the wrong way or something- and like i said anyway, their absolute assholes if they're being rude to someone whos just expressing themselves.

I haven't interacted with the fandom from the beginning either, I got into it at some point last year, but a large sum of the fandom is, like you said, seriously uncomfortable.  And it’s definitely an issue if any other fandom, especially known bad ones, though i haven't watched/been ‘in touch’ with riverdale- but anyway- if no other fandom makes it a fun game to bash others, only stranger things, that's like, huge issue.

I'm really glad you were happy to be able to peacefully interact with me and not be scared or conscious of everyone else. I love these conversations and how we discuss everything :)

And yeah, it was so confusing seeing all these people hate on cosplayers and being nerds, as if the show’s main characters aren't nerds who cosplay

Like, if you cosplayed and showed any of them, they'd prob become huge friends, because the more nerds and freaks, the better

And you're absolutely right about homophobia.  It’s running rampant in the Stranger Things fandom

Ect, ect…

Thankfully, on the video, most of it were jokes about the kiss, but not in a rude way, in a “never let them know your next move” way, though considering it was some 3k comments..I'm probably very wrong.

And you pretty much summed it up with James, just take Stonathan vs harringrove vs steddie, and steddie vs jargyle as an example. 

Harringrove = two conventionally attractive men

Decently popular

Steddie = two conventionally attractive men

Super popular and loves

Stonathan = only one conventionally attractive man

Primarily shat upon

Jargyle = no conventioianly attractive men

Barely any attention, despite having in canon what fanon steddie has

Notice all the popular, generally enjoyed ones happen to be 100% conventionally attractive men

Where the ones that are criticized or overshadowed are 0-50% conventionally attractive men

Jonathan is super cute and although i was never the hugest fan of his (or wills) haircut- he's still adorable and hot (and full of gender)

And the amount of people that will call charlie heaton and jonathan ugly in the worst ways is baffling.  It’s so frustrating to see people, that, just because they dont like a fictional charactorer, they go out of their way to comment about their actors appearance in seriously fucked up ways

But yeah, I also saw absolut;y nothing romantic between haringrove and steddie- no hate to anyone or anything, but yeah. Eddie knew Steve for what, five days tops? And billy..well, yeah.  But stonathan, with insane amounts of depth and possibilities, but has Jonathan of which is not conventionally attractive, is the least liked

And yeah, saying vecna is like steve, is a super exaggeration and grasping at nonexistent straws to hate
