The sound of the alarm blaring in his ear jolted him awake. Tyler glanced to the alarm clock - 6:45 am. He had to be to work at 8, and it was a forty minute commute from Colin’s place. Colin’s - where he’d spent the last four nights in his continued effort to afford James.

“Shut it off..” A voice mumbled sleepily from beside him, electing the barest of chuckles from Tyler’s lips as he shifted to hit the dismiss button on the alarm clock.

He moved to sit up but strong arms grabbed hold of his waist as lips moved over his exposed side. There was a muffled ‘don’t go’ that made him sigh. His hand moved to run through fiery red curls. “I have to, Col. Gotta work.”

“With James?”

“I don’t know if he’s working.” Tyler glanced to see a small pout on the boy’s lips, his arms still firmly around Tyler’s waist. The brunet flipped them to pin Colin down to the bed, offering him a little smile. “Are you really that jealous, Col? I’ve spent all my free time with you for the last week - including four overnights.”

The red head stared up at him, his eyes tracing over the man’s features. “That depends... have you told James about us?”

Tyler frowned and leaned in to press a kiss to Colin’s lips. “Soon, babe. I’ll tell him soon.”

“Why haven’t you yet? Ty it’s been a week..”

“And what would you have me say?” Ty sat back, frowning deeper at his boyfriend. “Sorry, James, but my sister’s made it clear that I needed a Dom and the only one I could find short notice that’s okay with me fucking other subs is Colin’s Dom?”

Colin scrubbed a hand over his face, annoyed. “You need to tell him, Ty.”

Tyler moved off of the bed to where his backpack sat, sifting through it for a clean work outfit. He was quiet for a long moment.

“Tyler..”

“No, Col.” The brunet shook his head as he turned, getting dressed while facing Colin. “No because he’ll ask why I didn’t chose him and the Professor. He’ll ask why you - the one person he doesn’t want me hanging around--”

“Because he’s a jealous asshole.” Colin huffed. “He just doesn’t like that you got close to me while he was stuck down south. You’ve even said so yourself.”

“Colin.” Tyler sighed, “I will tell him when the time is right. Now is not the right time.” He moved over to kneel beside the bed so he was eye-level with Colin. “I’ve got ten minutes before I have to go. C’mon, sit up. I’ll blow you?”

“Another I’m sorry blow job?” Colin frowned, knowing exactly why his boyfriend had been so eager to blow him lately, especially when James was brought up. “Fine... but if you don’t tell him by tonight then I’m telling Sir and he’ll find James and tell him himself.“

Tyler frowned but gave a short nod, reaching for the mans cock as soon as he sat up. His fingers wrapped around the length, massaging it to life, while he watched the red head. God, James would hate him for this. “I’ll tell him.” He promised, quietly, before his mouth went to work on pleasuring his boyfriend.

This day had been unexplainably different from the moment Jaime had followed the voice in her head to Eden until now. Her head pounded from the music of the club and the surge of emotions that had rushed through her, not only from seeing Erica for the first time in three years but also from discovering that she had apparently been endowed with the spirit of the virtue Patience. Patience had been the voice in the back of her head for all these years. She had always thought it to be her conscience but tonight she discovered that it wasn’t that at all.

“Patience? But.. that makes no sense.” Jaime’s gaze landed across the table to the sandy-haired man that sat in white robes, smiling kindly at her.

“Not everything is made to make sense, Jaime. Even Azezal....” This man - Raphael he’d called himself - gazed toward the door where another man, the same one that had caught her attention at the bar during that time stop, had just walked in. “.. we don’t know yet what was done by those that are now residing in people to warrant such a punishment to them but they are here to help each of you better your life. They all have goals to reach, and we are here to guide them.”

Jaime knew that this man, Raphael, was the one she was supposed to talk to but her thoughts and gaze focused instead on Azezal. His eyes met hers and she couldn’t help the shiver that ran the length of her spine. “He moved.”

“I do that occasionally.” The dark haired man chuckled as he stepped closer and allowed his form to shift, taking that of his natural form much to Jaime’s surprise. “Something that those above you are fortunate enough for. The others - as they harness their powers - will be able to move during it too, potentially. Wrath will, as your opposite, but the others are a question mark. They should, but only time will tell.”

“I don’t even understand---”

“It’s Patience.” Now they were talking in sync, wonderful. Raphael took the lead. “Each person has their own powers that come from their sin or virtue. Patience has always had a calming aura that eases anxiety in those around her but with that she also has the ability to stop time for a brief period of thirty seconds at last time, and there are some ice abilities she hadn’t fully grasped hold of the last time I met with her before this happened.”

“Powers? Patience?” Jaime’s head was spinning.

“You should go home.” Azezal’s words, though phrased as a request, bore no room for argument.

“We will be here whenever you want to know more, or need a place to meet with the others.”

The apartment was quiet, dark and Jaime suddenly found herself very thankful that Janessa had wanted to stay at the club while Tyler had fixed his relationship with James for the evening. She started to strip as she made her way down the hall toward her room, being careful not to leave clothes scattered anywhere. With everything but her panties and shirt placed into her hamper, Jaime moved over to her mirror to look over her features. 

Her skin held a few more wrinkles than the last time she’d seen anyone from St. Brendan’s and there were many things she found flawed with her appearance. Her reasoning for looking in the mirror, though, was hidden beneath the tank top her sister had lent her for the evening.

Tentative fingers tugged at the edge of the shirt to pull it off, and as it slid up over her form it revealed a tattoo no one - not even Janessa - had known that Jaime got almost two years ago now as a permanent reminder. Beautiful colors dotted an image beneath her left breast, forming the shape of a hummingbird that stood vibrantly against the pale color of Jaime’s skin. 

Those same tentative fingers moved to trace the edge of the design as she felt tears welling in her eyes, threatening to spill over. “She doesn’t remember me...”

She will, Jaime. Patience was there again, calming as ever. If you give her time she will remember. You have to have---

“Patience.” The woman cut off with a roll of her eyes. “I know. I have to have Patience. Which I do, you are quite literally a part of me now. It doesn’t stop the heart breaking, though, to know that I’ve spent the last two and a half years searching every crowded place for her and she hasn’t done the same for me. Not because she doesn’t want to, but because she can’t remember.”

She will, Jaime, she will. And when she does...

Walmart Announces 25 ‘Top Rated by Kids’ List In Advance of the Holidays

 It doesn’t matter if the kids have been naughty or nice – Walmart knows what they’ll all ask Santa for this year. To kick off the countdown to Christmas, the nation’s largest toy store today unveiled the list of this year’s hottest toys, as rated by a panel of esteemed experts: kids. This year’s Top Rated by Kids toy list revealed toys kids can interact with and collect; toys that keep kids moving; and toys inspired by their favorite movie and TV characters will be big this season. This year, nearly a quarter of the list is exclusive to Walmart.

For parents looking to get a head start on holiday shopping, Walmart also announced the return of its popular layaway program to help customers stay on budget or pay over time for their toys and other gifts.

“We are gearing up for the season by starting with what matters most to kids – toys!” said Anne Marie Kehoe, vice president of toys at Walmart U.S. “With a little over three months until Christmas, we want to help parents get ahead of the holiday hunt for the hottest toys and find the best deals. We narrowed down hundreds of toys to the top 25 we know kids will love…but this is just the start. We never stop looking for the hottest toys – ever! You can count on us having the latest trends at the best prices throughout the season.”

Walmart once again enlisted the help of hundreds of kids, from 18 months to 12 years old, to play with hundreds of contenders and determine the hottest toys coming down the chimney. Like other kid toy experts at the event, brothers, Ashton, 10, and Collin, 6, helped rate the top toys. “I liked the Monster Jam Grave Digger best because I could make it do donuts,” said Collin. “The Batbot is cool because I love watching Batman cartoons. And it shoots a motorcycle from its foot.” For Ashton, anything customizable and creative was a big hit, including the littleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit.

From Ashton, Collin, and the rest of the toy-testers, Walmart determined what will be on kids’ wish lists for Santa this year:

Between Walmart stores and Walmart.com, the retailer will offer more than 1,000 new toys, including more than 300 exclusives at prices customers are looking for. “Top toys are evolving every day, and we’re continuing to find those great, new items and bringing them with speed to our customers,” said Kehoe. 

In keeping with this year’s trends, Walmart will have a large selection of ride-on toys and electronics, which will be announced throughout the season. Electronics include the latest in VR and drone technology, as well as video game systems and hundreds of video games. Finally, in anticipation of the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the retailer will also have a large assortment of Stars Wars-licensed toys available.

Free Layaway Returns to Give Customers a Head Start on Holiday Shopping

Walmart’s popular layaway service is once again open, offering customers the opportunity to stay on budget and pay over time for big-ticket items. The top 25 rated toys, along with thousands of other items in Walmart stores, are available to reserve on layaway accounts.

Again this year, there is no opening fee for customers to start a layaway account, and they only need to put down 10% (or $10, whichever is greater). Customers can put items as low as $10 on layaway with a $50 minimum basket. Customers have until Dec. 11 to pay off their account.
