Meet The Jotu-Trio:

Terrina Ave-Lo: The sharp-witted and adventurous leader of the group, a 57-foot-tall, 18-year-old Jotuzon/human hybrid from El-Doe, who is able to sizeshift herself down to human level. She came to Earth in the hopes that it would be the only place where she could be free to explore the world and learn about humans. When it comes to adventuring, Terrina is very frivolous and mischievous and constantly needs her girlfriend Bailynn (whom she frequently calls her lovebug) to keep her in check.

Terrina is a mixed-race Afro-Puerto Rican who is proud of her newly discovered Latin culture on her human father's side. At school, she's the beloved Queen Bee with a heart of gold and a popular cheerleader to boot. Despite being happier on Earth, she still struggles with anxiety over her hybrid nature and secretly fears that she might not belong anywhere else, but with the help of her friend group, she becomes inspired to use her bloodline to be a living bridge between worlds.

Bailynn Lo-Shanta: Smart, calculated, and ambitious, Bailynn is the "Lisa Simpson" figure of the group. She's a biracial straight-A student and a massive UFO fanatic who was born displaced in the body of a human, but after learning the truth about her heritage, she transformed herself into her true form: a 55-foot-tall Jotuzon! Like Terrina, she is also able to sizeshift herself to giant size or human size.

Bailynn remains deeply connected to her human father, from his New Orleans upbringing to his Paranormal Journal that was passed down after his unfortunate death. Despite being the team mom, she has her moments of gleeful fangirling, especially when she's learning about her true Jotuzon culture. She's still figuring out where she belongs in the universe, but her love for her friends and her Californian hometown is forever unbreakable.

Jack El-Benn: Jack is the curious and fun-loving third wheel to the lovey-dovey couple of Terrina and Bailynn. He has been Terrina's best friend during childhood, and he is the most fascinated with the humans who live beyond El-Doe, even owning a secret library dedicated to the Earthlings, all to themself.

Jack is a bookworm who often gets the wrong idea about human treasures and can be easily distracted by lights or glitter, but they always love to infodump to Terrina about their love for the humans' internet. He's still figuring himself out as a nonbinary, transmasc Jotuzon, but he's always got Terri and Bailynn to support them. His biggest dream is for the Jotuzons to establish peace with the humans so that he can finally make his library accessible to the public.

for those who don't know, terrina ave-lo is a teenage jotuzon (a species of alien giantess) with half-human blood who was raised on a planet of giants, whereas bailynn is another teenage half-human jotuzon who was born and raised in the human world under the human disguise of bailey wilson.

currently, terri is learning to embrace her mixed species heritage, and bailynn is learning to embrace her true giant form. the girls, being from different worlds, are deeply in love with each other and constantly fangirling over each other, and while they can shrink themselves to human level, they're much happier when they're both a lovey-dovey giant duo. aren't they just adorable?? 🩷

Presenting the Teen Giants! (aka the Jotuzon Six)

Several months after she landed on Earth, Terrina begins to feel isolated as one of the only two giants in Westshore, alongside a newly discovered Bailynn Lo-Shanta. She becomes desperate to have friends of her size who would accept her peculiar interests, and so she develops a plan with her human mother, Mayor Selina Nunez, to integrate her giant Jotuzon people into the human society of Westshore. With the miracle of temporary micronization pills, the Teen Giants become a symbol of peaceful coexistence between two worlds, learning to live normal American teenager lives, and proving to all humans that Jotuzons and Giants are not as dangerous as they believed.

On the top half we have the main Giant Trio: Three best friends (including a lovey-dovey sapphic couple) who protect and support each other in their mission to unite Jotuzons and humans. Terrina and Bailey are dating each other and are nearly inseperable.

On the bottom half we have the other Giant Trio, a clique of popular girls led by Kemba Jovi-Ann. Kemba is Terrina's on-and-off frenemy who becomes willing to protect Terrina's half-human identity in spite of their turbulent relationship.

Let's hope that the town of Westshore survives with these teens running loose.

The Wilsons' Christmas Letter 🎄💚

Merry Christmas from the Wilsons.. and the Lo-Shantas! I'm so glad to be upholding the tradition of the annual Wilsons' Christmas Card Letter.

It's always that wonderful time of year when I get to be thankful for the life I have, the neighborhood is decorated with cheer and lights, the sounds of children frolicking outside on the street, and that sugary taste of mom's soft Christmas cookies and Gingerbread houses.

I always envision a white Christmas with snow and the joyful sounds of Christmas carolers singing throughout the neighborhood. But we live in Southern California, where we barely get any snow, and let's face it, I didn't believe snow in California was a thing until I saw Father of the Bride.

As the proud daughter of the great astrophysicist Irwin Wilson, I carry on his legacy in everything I do. I am well on my way to hopefully attending Stanford University, which, in Westshore, is considered the highest honor for anyone living in the city.

My mother, Martha, who I recently found out was the great Athene Lo-Shanta, is fantastic. She did everything she could to raise me in the human world. She still talks about my dad and how much he would've loved spending the holidays with us, even though he never got to see me at my absolute best.

He would've loved to have his traditional soulful Christmas playlist playing throughout the day. Thankfully, Jody still has that R&B Christmas playlist on rotation within the Wilson household. He's an amazing brother and a wonderful, well-known student over at community college. He has his dreams of becoming an indie artist, self-financed and all. He says he hates record labels, but I can't blame him, record labels do kinda suck with their own artists.

My girlfriend Terrina is astoundingly amazing. She is at the top of the social pyramid at my school. She's everything that I could be, but just bother not to, and that's not even a bad thing. She respects me, she listens, and she trusts me, though I could do without that girl wickedly laughing while smashing everything in her path and clumsily dancing around the city streets while being giant Jotuzon-sized.

Jack is smart and a really happy-go-lucky guy, always positive about life. They can almost be as chaotic as Terri, but they have a warm, empathetic heart to match with their confidence and theatrics. They've been asking all year about adopting a stray puppy from the streets, but I had to convince him it would take a lot of money and well-provided attention to have one.

But I realized that I can't be like Terrina or Jack, I'm more comfortable in my own skin and my own identity, and I've learned that being Bailynn Lo-Shanta is better than being Bailey Wilson. Bailynn is the part of me that makes me feel like I could do anything I want, no longer restrained or even hiding from the world.

My life is... not as perfect as the cookie-cutter families in this neighborhood of mine, but it don't think it can't be any worse. I much rather look on the bright side of life, and just be comfortable with my weird, dysfunctional, and loving family.

omg i love this lil comic i made! it’s one of my favorite things i’ve made that involves my favorite super smart alien gal, bailynn lo-shanta.

she’s just figuring out who she is, and how she identifies herself, and i think she’s so special to the franchise of Terri Starstrike because there are so many people like her who are still figuring it out and wanting to be something else other than what they were raised as their whole life.

i just love bailynn not just for how open she is towards all ���alien invaders”, but also for how happy she is to be a giant alien, instead of being a normal (boring) human girl, and how much agency she has as a teenager defining who she wants to be, and what she is supposed to be.

so yes, cheers to bailynn lo-shanta! the trans icon we all need! 🩷⭐️🛸
