his laughter unnerved her, not that she wanted to admit that. she wasn't sure how to take it. it wasn't genuine and it wasn't the kind of laughter you could join in on. besides, some part of her refused to see any kind of normal in him, anything that she could also see in herself.

she never got to meet her aunt. if she had it might have made her more angry that he brought her up. instead, she just felt unlucky. maybe she would have liked liv.

"yeah you did, didn't you," lizzie crossed her arms and met his gaze with narrowed eyes. "which means i didn't get a chance to meet her." she didn't know if what he said about her aunt was meant to be a threat or not, but she knew better than to trust him. "so reminding me that you killed my aunt just makes you even more of a dick."

she heard the door opening and then closing softly. blonde hair spilled across her pillow as lizzie lay on her side with her back facing the room she and her twin shared. to her chest, she clutched the heart shaped throw pillow with one hand. she rolled over, the light of her cellphone softly illuminating her face as she did so. "no, not asleep yet." lizzie felt sore but she couldn't quite explain why. "are you just getting back from your study group?" her phone screen and the led clock across on the desk told her it was almost 12:30 am. she usually was much more awake at this hour, but she felt much too exhausted to stay up but not tired enough to fall asleep yet. she couldn't help but endlessly scroll through the feed of cute animal videos, queen maeve memorial fancams and other god u students. she was already starting to see videos and pictures of a party she wasn't invited to. she moved even more to see her sister, now sitting upright.

"i thought you might be looking for this," lizzie held out a jacket on dry cleaner's hanger. she might not always be the best sister, or even close to it, but she knew when she needed to steal something for a little longer to own up to her screw ups. "i wore it and i got salad dressing in it. couldn't get it off, so i got it cleaned." that's what she would have expected from anyone else, although she wasn't someone that let many people borrow her favorite clothes either.

liz forbes, as she likes to go by more than elizabeth, is the sheriff of mystic falls. she is canon in season five which means she WAS/IS something of a hunter. her family, and ex husbands, were known to kill vampires... until liz broke the cycle, seeing that they weren't always so bad.

liz says she has a handful of kids, although her favorite will always be caroline. sorry kiddos.

as soon as she'd joined the seven, lizzie had learned everything she could about starlight. she'd bought her merch, a perfectly normal amount for a teenage girl at the time. and even now, she had a poster of her up in her dorm, right next to her queen maeve poster. as much as she wanted to be in the seven like them both one day, she knew better than to think the seven would want someone with her less than ideal abilities. that didn't stop her from idolizing annie, and she didn't stop idolizing her when annie did her live stream. it made her like her a lot more actually, even if her world view was shattered just a little bit.

she was out in the city during spring break, going to get coffee when something happened she had never thought was going to happen. "holy shit," lizzie mumbled, recognizing the blonde hair in front of her in line for coffee. she was practically holding her breath until she moved forward in line and actually had to order. she rushed through her order, paid with shaking hands and turned around to look for her. she was still in the store waiting for her drink. "i'm sorry, i'm so sorry if i'm bothering you. i just think you're so cool. it's such an honor to meet you." she kept her voice low and tried to keep it even, but she knew it was shaking.

"obviously!" lizzie wasn't trying to hold mg back, but she had this nagging feeling she wouldn't like the answers they got from this kid. besides that she was trying to keep an eye out for any security they knew would come to collect this guy. he seemed annoyed though, so lizzie took a step back and let mg work despite the fact that she wanted to lean closer to see better. "tell me when you get something." she crossed her arms, brown eyes still straining to see from her slightly distanced position.

"i don't want to." there were a few people's powers she'd love to try out, but she didn't want anything to do with his. her training wasn't like the other supes here, they weren't training her powers they were training her to use other people's. willing volunteers with common powers she might encounter in the wild so she would at least have some understanding of how to manage them. wylder's powers didn't fit that category and they agreed she couldn't handle it. "it's not just like spontaneous. i have to want to do it and believe me, i don't. this is a team exercise, you can touch me, i'm not going to burn you or something." sure, when someone with powers touched her she could feel that power, but she didn't siphon without wanting too anymore.
