AVCon: Adelaide’s Anime & Video Game Festival, Adelaide
Adelaide Convention Centre July 20th - 22nd, 2018 Dated: July 30th, 2018
AVCon Adelaide was this past weekend and my second home-based convention. Friday night was... a bit of a mess? The con itself was not that great in my opinion, and I did not even bother trying to get in to the opening ceremony when only like 200 people could. I know it is not the fault of the organizers due to various reasons, but I hope next year we have access to the usual spaces so it is not as cramped on the Friday. Sushi dinner with the lads was a much better option than sticking around, in my opinion. Cosplaying that night? 100% better than the convention itself that night. I never really thought I would cosplay Asuka but hey, I did it and it was actually really fun! Thank you so much to Harvestsprite for trading wigs with me and making this random impulse of mine a reality. I had so much fun with the Eva squad, thank you to Harvestsprite for being Rei, Fiiorei for being Mari, and Momentai for being Shinji. You all were amazing. Would I cosplay Asuka again? I think I would like to, but with all my preplanning I do not really have time haha.
Next up was Saturday. The convention was a bit better since we could actually go to more spaces throughout the centre, and I got to go through the exhibitor's hall and artist alley a few times. To be honest, I did not actually end up buying anything at all at the convention, which is really odd for me since I usually buy something. AVCon this year just did not really have anything I wanted though. There was a lot of amazing art and I adored so many of the works I saw, but I have been prioritizing IDOLiSH7, Ensemble Stars! and Hypnosis Mic lately and I did not see anything of those, so my wallet was saved over the weekend (the one plus side?). As for cosplaying on Saturday, I had two cosplays and the first of them was Howl from Howl's Moving Castle. This has been a dream cosplay of mine for a while now, so it was such an amazing opportunity to make it a reality with my dream-partner and incredible Sophie, Harvestsprite ♡ This was the second time over the weekend we got to cosplay together and it is always so good when we do. I love you my dearest Sophie and cannot wait to do our OTP again ♡ For my personal thoughts on cosplaying Howl, I actually really enjoyed it! I was worried I may not suit him too well, but I was happy with how I looked and felt comfortable going to the convention as him. However, as for my second cosplay, I was not as happy with myself. Mid-way through the day I changed out of Howl and into Kashuu Kiyomitsu from Touken Ranbu, and while it was nice to be able to try him out, there are parts I want to improve on and do better, so I am looking forward to bringing him out again another time, new and improved.
Moving on to Sunday. Oh boy. I was supposed to do two more cosplays, but when I woke up that morning I just felt so exhausted and a bit sick and just not up for anything. I think after SMASH and then the first two days of AVCon, I was just so burnt out. In the end, I did not end up cosplaying and attended the convention in casual clothing. I spent my day by the side of EI8HTBIT Cosplay, helping them around the place before it was time for the cosplay competition. It was a lot more relaxing for me to be in comfortable clothing and help out a friend than worry about cosplay for a day. I did not experience much of the con outside of the photoshoot areas and competition. Speaking of the competition, it was such an amazing thing to watch. There were so many talented cosplayers this year and I loved being able to see what everyone had put together. I am also so proud of EI8HTBIT for getting male runner up, their Anduin Wrynn cosplay was just stunning and after watching them work on it for months, they really deserved to be rewarded for all that time and effort.
I would like to say the biggest thank you to EI8GHTBIT for putting up with me over the weekend and sharing a hotel room with me. I am really glad we got to spend that time together and look forward to spending more time with you when we are roommates ♡ I would also like to thank all of my friends that I got to see over the weekend, you all looked amazing and it was so lovely to be able to see you and catch up. Adelaide does not have another con until Supanova in November, so we have got a few months to prepare for that. As for me, I will be back in Melbourne in a couple of weeks for Animaga! I only have a few conventions left and then the year is done. I hope the last few months are good to me and good to everyone else too ♡ Thank you for reading!

More stuff I got recently. I was lucky to get a full-set of the Touken Ranbu Hugcot gachapon figures and also two Chara Fortune Petite School versions of Kaworu Nagisa, although my grail is the one that came carded like a tiny figure MOC. I love these two nonetheless, but grails are a pain in the gut sometimes.

Kashuu Kiyomitsu Promise You Oricon + A little Gift
So the first week sale number of TouMyu Kashuu Kiyomitsu 2nd solo single Promise you is out.
The sales figure for the single is 8,082 copies! Ranked at the 14th place on the weekly Oricon charts. Quite a bit lower than I anticipated but might be due to the facts that the digital released was quite long before the CD sales so people opted for the digital sales instead and it was sold after the golden week which people usually spent a lot of money.
Anyway, it’s still quite a good figures for a 2.5D chara solo single.
Congratulations!
keep reading for the gift
So in order to celebrate the good sale i’d like to share my copy of the song that I ripped myself from the CD. It’ll not included the instrumental version and the MV of course. In the folder there’ll be 4 songs : Promise You, Hoshi no Kanata e, Run Time and No Life Without You. For those of you who’re interested you can message me to ask for the download link.
For those of you who’d like to support the boys you can buy the CD at Amazon, CDJapan and many other website
Please support TouMyu ^^

Hello~ I just came by to ask if you have a top 10 male seiyuu list, which is pretty hard to make but I’m interested if you have faves :>
Wow! Hi! I never thought someone would actually send me an ask XD But yeah, that's a hard question and my answer usually changes or the rankings shift somewhat often, but I'll give you my top 10 in no particular order as of now~!1. Mamoru MiyanoOk, so this man's voice is so unique to me and versatile, plus he can sing! He's got the voice of an angel~! (or maybe the devil in disguise 👀) I enjoy how eccentric he appears to be too, in real life as well as his persona on screen, makes things funnier especially for different characters he plays~ Definitely a seiyuu that stays in my top 5 always.Favorite role would probably be Osamu Dazai from Bungou Stray Dogs.2. Kishou TaniyamaOk, so I'll admit, I knew about this guy and appreciated his work, but his role as Chuuya Nakahara in Bungou Stray Dogs and Natsuki Shinomiya in Uta no Prince-Sama was what truly won me over. Not to mention he's another singer and sings for his band, GRANRODEO who's done countless openings/endings over the year. If Mamo-chan has a voice of an angel, Kishou Taniyama's voice is the embodiment of power itself.Favorite role would probably by Chuuya Nakahara from Bungou Stray Dogs.3. KENN (Kenichirou Oohashi)I think I've been watching this guy since his baby days in voice acting so I feel kinda attached to him xD I remember the first role I watched him as was Roppongi from Miracle Train and he has a certain nasally (in a good way) quality in his voice that makes it unique in a world such as voice acting. He was originally a singer before he started voice acting too so lots of his roles are idol genre so lots of singing to listen to from him as well~Favorite role would probably be Ronald Knox from Kuroshitsuji.4. Yuuichi NakamuraOnly really learned about this guy from Osomatsu-San where he played Karamatsu Matsuno, but that won me over cause I love my painful blue boy xD He's an older seiyuu so his works go back into some of the early 2000's with notable roles like Ikuto Tsukiyomi from Shugo Chara or Tomoya Okazaki from Clannad, but he's got a good handful of more modern roles that are loved too like Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail, Tetsurou Kuroo from Haikyuu, Yoshiyuki Hatori from Sekaiichi Hatsukoi (or maybe just me and my love for trash BL). One role I'd like to note is from Sweetness and Lightning where he plays this widowed single father named Kohei Inuzuka. This role really captured the softness in Namakura's voice that I'd never heard before and made me gain more respect for him as a seiyuu.Favorite role is probably Karamatsu Matsuno from Osomatsu-san or Tetsurou Kuroo from Haikyuu.5. Yoshimasa HosoyaOk, so I have a theme of picking seiyuus that have pretty/versatile singing voices and Yoshimasa Hosoya is definitely one of them. Not only can he change his voice to fit a character, but he can also change his voice to sing as that character! Like wtf! I have mad respect for this guy just for that alone but his performances are always really good too so he's another that stays in my top 5 always~Favorite role would probably be Kazuichi Souda from the Danganronpa series or Musashi from Nanbaka.6. Junichi SuwabeYknow that stereotypical ladies man in most animes? Well this guy is another older seiyuu and is probably one of the handful of voices behind those characters or at least from the anime I've consumed xD He's got a deep richness to his voice that really goes with the womanizer characters, but even if the character isn't like that, the refined deepness has a very strong masculine quality to it that when partnered with a softer, higher toned voice compliments it and makes each voice distinctly distinguishable.Favorite role is probably Daiki Aomine from Kuroko no Basuke or Juzo Sakakura from Danganronpa 3.7. Tatsuhisa SuzukiThe seiyuu of many colors. Of course many seiyuus get many different roles with differing personalities that they're asked to portray, but I always find Tatsuhisa Suzuki's the best for shock value when I tell people about him. When you go from characters like Makoto Tachibana from Free! and Yuuji Sakamoto from Baka and Test to characters like Ban from Seven Deadly Sins and Ranmaru Kurosaki from Uta no Prince-sama it's kinda shocking to think that those characters are the same person at first. He's also the lead vocalist for a band called OLDCODEX and they've done a god handful of openings and endings for animes~.Favorite character would probably be Kazunari Takao from Kuroko no Basuke.8. Toshiki MasudaI don't know much about him quite yet, but he's caught my attention with getting more idol genre roles as well as the general bishie shows like Touken Ranbu Hanamaru. His voice, again, is another unique sounding one to me and I look forward to seeing more work from him~Favorite role is probably Kiyomitsu Kashuu from Touken Ranbu.9. Yuuto UemuraAnother guy that doesn't have much work yet, but he's a new up and comer! His break out role was Atsushi Nakajima from Bungou Stray Dogs and he was also Jyugo, the main in Nanbaka! I'm excited to see what else he's gonna be doing in the future~Favorite role is probably Jyugo from Nanbaka.10. Jun FukuyamaWhere do I even begin with this man... He's another one of the "older" bunch and has voiced countless roles, big roles at that over the years. He has about 3 staple voices he uses, but even with all the characters it still feels fresh and new every time. Also typically you can find him lumped in with Daisuke Ono and Hiroshi Kamiya on a lot of projects xDFavorite role is probably Kimihiro Watanuki from xxxHOLiC or King/Harlequin from Seven Deadly Sins.Well that's 10~ I'm only really knowledgeable about male seiyuus so I hope you're not offended I didn't add any female or English voice actors! I love learning about all the different roles they've been in and I'm slowly starting to learn their personality from interviews and seiyuu events I've seen~Thanks so much for sending an ask, it honestly made my day~
