The romantic Arts and Crafts Garden at Great Chalfield Manor and Garden, located in Melksham, England, is truly worth a visit. I could stare at this garden scene for hours. The beautiful lush borders planted in a pleasant color scheme in the foreground with the tall green “houses”, pruned out of ancient yews, in the background is certainly not what you will find in an average garden. But nonetheless it is so inspiring, don’t you think? June is a love story written by nature.” Patience Strong. Exactly how I feel this June and it was so nice to be out enjoying the English countryside and gardens in Somerset and Wiltshire for a few days. We wait so long to enjoy nature and the flowers this time of year. This scene is from Great Chalfield House and Garden. I love the darker red roses at the top with the beautiful hydrangeas ready to burst with blooms.

📍Great Chalfield Manor This 15th century manor house is my favorite easter egg to keep an eye out for whenever we get a new installment in the Tudor-Starz Universe. This is also one of few connections i've been able to spot between the Philippa Gregory adaptions and Becoming Elizabeth. Great Chalfield was first seen in The White Princess , a few years later in the second season of The Spanish Princess and most recently in episode four of Becoming Elizabeth. I've been trying to pin down this place ever since season 2 of the TSP so I have to credit my beloved @aethelreds for helping me figure out what to add to my travel bucket list 💕
