Vanessa has lived in fight or flight mode her whole life. Being raised in Vegas, it would only make sense that she picked up some not-so-great habits. Thanks to her mother not being present and her father walking out, Vanessa was raised on the streets. Targeting the rich who came to party it up in Vegas, Vanessa recently conned someone wealthy into marrying her only to book it with their money and settle down in Miami.

Carolina was born and raised in Cuba for the first thirteen years of her life. When she turned thirteen, her parents relocated to the United States to live with family and work where Carolina finished off middle and high school. She had her fair share of heartbreaks throughout her adolescent and beginning adulthood. When she graduated high school, she started working in a bar that her aunt owned. First, she was a server and host for the first couple of years and then turned bartender when she turned eighteen.

When she met Elijah Reynolds while he was traveling, she thought that she had found the one and she loved him with everything in her. Her past experiences with heartbreak led her to do the one thing that she hated herself; break his heart. She left a note and told him she was leaving. Quickly, she moved around but soon found out that she was pregnant. Instead of contacting him, she decided that she couldn't go back and kept it a secret. She had the baby, a little girl, nine months later and lived her life. 

Her aunt had opened up a club in Miami and wanted Carolina to become the owner so she agreed and moved down to the sunshine state and has been running the club for quite some time now. She loves what she's doing and being a mother has become her greatest accomplishment.

 originally from england, atticus grew up with two loving parents, they never had to worry much about money and if they did their son never found out. food was always on the table and atticus got what he wanted but never grew up spoiled. they owned an old bookshop in their small quiet town and while atti loved the small community he was never around people his own age growing up. he loved to read, he lost himself in the words and let his imagination run wild.

as he got older the small town slowly began to feel suffocating. his lack of friends grated on him and he wanted more. it was in his teens that he began dabbling in art as a hobby, first he put pencil to paper and then pen. he had a natural talent and realised quickly that he didn't have to rely on books to broaden his own horizons. he continued his hobbies through school and when the time came to apply to university he took the jump and applied for a program in miami.

to this day he still remembers how shocked he was to get a place and while he was hesitant to start such a new adventure he packed his bags and left town. ever since then atticus has grown to love living there. he finished university and has his own art gallery in the shopping mall. he goes home every few months to see his family but always come back to the place that made his dreams come true.

With a troubling romantic past Elijah wants to get through life one day at a time and preferably alone, or so he tries to tell himself.

luke doesn’t need to climb everest or jump off an airplane to get an adrenaline kick. the real rush comes at the poker table, when he’s got pocket aces and some swanky kid with daddy’s money raises their bet. nothing beats the feeling of clearing out an entire table in a high stakes poker game. it’s a better high than any drug could ever give him. and maybe that’s why it’s so hard to quit; one wrong move and he’s flat broke and moving back into his mom’s basement between shifts working at wendy’s. luckily, luke’s got his sister, the better twin, to save his ass like she always does. she lets him stay in her apartment at the chaleur while she works abroad in exchange for taking care of her plants and his promise to never touch a deck of cards again. luke’s pretty sure he’s killed two of her plants already, so what’s another broken promise added to the list?

sade, the eldest of five, was raised in a close-knit, blue-collar family. there wasn’t much money to stretch in such a large household so her parents often worked long hours, leaving sade in charge of caring for her siblings. from a young age, she had the responsibility of ensuring that they were fed, clothed, and cared for. she’ll often tell people that she’s grateful for these early experiences as they strengthened her bond with her family. but, a part of her feels resentful for having to grow up too fast and not having a true childhood. 

sade moved to miami to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. she’s loved fashion ever since she was a young girl, envious of those who could afford more stylish clothing. sade didn’t let financial constraints limit her though, instead, she taught herself how to sew and started to tailor and create clothing for herself. with hard work, dedication (and quite a few student loans,) sade graduated from istituto marangoni miami with a degree in fashion design. she currently works as a fashion designer for a local high-end brand, but her ultimate goal is to have her own fashion line, creating affordable high-end clothing.
