Rules for Trainees, Idols and Staff
All trainees, idols, and staff will get evaluations every two months.
All trainees will be informed about sex education as well as cultural appropriation. We teach proper sex education with private lessons from a school that we can not disclose the name of for legal reasons.
Artists will have free creativity, but company producers will need to review it.
We will value mental health at all costs.
Male and female trainees are allowed to train together to have social interactions after being a part of the company for a year.
No uncomfortable outfits. Our girl groups, soloists, & artists will get safety shorts for flowy skirts and dresses. And our boy groups, soloists, & artists will not be forced to wear clothes that make them uncomfortable on stage or during promotions.
We don’t encourage dating. If our artists/trainees do start dating, we will let them stay together. Although, they will have to remain professional in the business and public settings. Relationships within our company will remain private until they are ready to come public with it.
For our actors/actresses, they can have a degree majoring in acting or have the opportunity to take acting classes/lessons at Konkuk University. Our actors/actresses also must have a passion for acting.
Staff will be treated equally as our artists and actors.
Our company is a safe place for our trainees who come from harmful or broken homes.
Our company has a daycare for our older trainees and anyone who has kids, and our trainees who have younger siblings and their parents work at night.
New Horizon also has a company restaurant that doubles as a bakery and cafe.
We also have a day where we take everybody to an amusement park or somewhere fun to help with their stress levels.
All trainees who make it past their first year with us will receive t-shirts or hoodies of any color of their choice with the New Horizon logo on the back with our motto and their name on the first side. And even if they don’t stay, they will still be allowed to have one.
Our trainees and artists have the right to choose to go on a moderate diet and exercise for comebacks and debuts. Our company will hire personal trainers for our artists and trainees if they wish to exercise.
We will also have an animal shelter bring their animals to our company every two weeks to roam around our building as therapy pets for our artists, trainees, & staff. And if they want to adopt them later on, they can do so, with approval.
We also welcome all foreign trainees from all over the world, and unlike other companies, we will pay them the same amount as their Korean counterparts.
We will do a background check on all of our staff, and it doesn’t matter the age assigned to them. We don’t want criminals/bad people to be in our company.
We let our trainees have individuality, so we let them decorate their trainee dorms and rooms.
New Horizon also does charity runs. These runs are usually between trainees, idols, and staff, but they can change it to boy vs. girl. Whoever raises the money or product gets either a day off, free food for a certain amount of time, or more on their allowance card (for trainees only).
New Horizon also supports activism!
Allegations, sasaeng behavior, or anything else negative towards our people will be taken urgently and researched by our team (with fans’ help as they are on the outside looking in).
Sexualizing minors is forbidden; if this occurs online or anywhere, you are going to be blacklisted. Until the idol(s) turns 18 both domestically and internationally. But we are firmly against it at all costs.
No body-shaming; if you are spotted doing this, you will be kicked out and possibly blacklisted.
No blackmailing our idols or others; as I have said before, you will be kicked out and possibly blacklisted.
We will check phones but only in moderation. If you happen to be texting the opposite sex that is not family in the first year of becoming a company member, your phone will be confiscated for a month.
Among our artists and staff, respect is earned, not given. No matter how old you are.
They have free decisions on their clothes, hair, and makeup, but they must be approved by the company first.
Our trainees and pre-debut groups/soloists can have social media, but it will be in moderation.
Being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community will be accepted, and being discriminatory towards anyone under our company in this community will possibly blacklist.
Going out is only acceptable if it is to get any essential goods, such as food, medication, drinks, etc., with a manager present.
Having tattoos are allowed to be seen outside of television. If an artist or trainee has a tattoo, it must be covered if they are on television.
Extreme diets are not encouraged, but if our artists and trainees want to stay in shape for their future comeback or debut, that is fine by healthy habits and exercising.
Our trainees can have junk food, but they can eat it in moderation after every practice or training lesson.
Missing a few calls from a manager is okay, but you must call the manager back once they check their phone.
If our artists are interested in getting a second “job,” such as Twitch, YouTube, or a Podcast, they are free to do so. But any money made from these will be added to their salary and split with their group mates if they are in it jointly.
There will be no harassing or blackmailing of our foreign trainees or idols. As I have said, they get treated the same as their Korean counterparts; therefore, punishment is the same.
If NHE staff of any position are abusing their power, whether it be domestically in South Korea or overseas in any way, report it to the company with evidence. If multiple people see this, please share where you found it, especially over SNS and other sites.
Chores must be kept up at all times, mostly cleaning the practice rooms.
Always be honest about where you’ve been. No matter if it gets you in trouble.
We will resolve fights within the company among trainees, or idols will be retaliated with a punishment of any shape, size, or form.
