Anonymonkey Announces Debut Album Release Concert for Charity

In a world full of social unrest, Anonymonkey is here to bring some semblance of reckoning to the chaos. Made up of Chad “Chadzilla” Johnson (lead vocals, bass, trombone), Ryan “Feegs” Fiegl (guitar) and Sean “Barf” Bartholomew (drums, vocals), this Denver-based band makes music to serve one purpose: create change. Their debut album Human Suit “aims to invigorate listeners with upbeat tempos, memorable lyrics and catchy melodies while also addressing issues of social injustice, division and the unique human experience.” Drawing inspiration from the seminal rock figures that came before them, the trio still finds a way to be inventive in their musical stylings while creating captivating performances. Steadfast in their mission to redefine social norms, Anonymonkey boldly stands apart as a visceral response to societal transgressions. Dave Tamkin's "Shoes" Helps The Homeless

Singer-songwriter Dave Tamkin along with his band (aka Dave Tamkin & Co.) are doing their part during the COVID-19 crisis with a new single - "Shoes". "Shoes" is an upbeat country-esque track from the Colorado artist who utilizes a unique melody to bring his fresh musical vision to life. Created in collaboration with Brad Huffman and Chad “Chadzilla” Johnson, "Shoes" tells a story about embracing the journey you are on with all of its ups and downs and not judging other people’s lives that cross your path or join you on the road into the great wide open. As Tamkin's fingers fly across the fretboard in a red hot frenzy, the listener gets swept away by the driving back-beat and interesting layer of piano and horn flavors in the background. More important than the contemporary soundscape is the uplifting message behind the single. Experiencing a growing homeless population in his hometown of Boulder, CO, Tamkin was inspired to use this single as a way to help the homeless shelters in his local area. “A new shelter opened up where a guitar shop used to be down the street from us. With each passing week, the line would grow with people waiting for an opportunity to sleep under a roof with some heat. As winter moved in we heard that shoes were one of the hardest things to come by. So we plan on trading some new music for a pair of shoes that need a new adventure and could help someone further their journey to a safe and more secure life,” says Tamkin. Originally planning to tour several of the western states in the month of April, Tamkin and the band are hoping to use the single to provide support to local homeless shelters throughout the country. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that tour has been postponed, but Tamkin & CO. are still doing what they can to raise support for their local shelter - especially in this time of crisis. Tamkin will be donating 20% of all merch sales to the Boulder Shelter during the month of April.
