Ad Incognita Per Ignota
Stanford Pines definitely remembers the fight he had with his brother, the fight he had with his lab partner, the abuse he had to endure at the hands of Bill Cipher. He remembers being shoved into the portal to who knows where. So when he awakens in a hospital bed, informed that he has been experiencing a psychotic break, he struggles to come to terms with what he's being told. However, the scars on his body tell him his memories may not be as false as the doctors and nurses want him to believe.
An account of the more terrifying experiences Ford had to face during his time in the multiverse.
Ch. 1: Coital Machinations of the Dead
Ford awakens in a hospital bed, informed that he has had a psychotic break. However, not all is as it seems.

For JJK ask game 8, 17, 20!
8. The most underrated character?
My dumbass typed an answer that fits 13 smh. Someone ask me that, I'm ready.
Obviously Megumi, because he beat severe depression with sheer gay audacity. Amazing. (that's a horrible summary but you get it).
But also Choso! I fear his the flaw he was unable to grow past was the compulsive need to sacrifice himself for Yuuji, to feel that he was worth living with. In his case I think the conditions that led to his existence rly weighed on his self-image, but this isn't the post for sad analysis this should be fun.
Damn I rly said the emos are underrated, huh.
I'm going to add Hanami bc they had their own domain expansion and we never got to see it. Idk if they were stronger than Dagon, but god, I'm still sad about.
17. Match my favorite character with a song
This should be easy bc I can just go to my pinned post and scroll through a playlist but no, I can't decide who my current favorite character is. I'll go w my long-term top 4, I guess
Choso - fear the sun by siiickbrain
(hard choice but I haven't read the lyrics since ch 259 came out and oh god??? It fits).
Gojo - Caramelltanzen
Geto - money power glory by Lana del Rey (idk how serious but I always laugh when it comes on ok)
the wisp sings by winter aid (scary accurate satosugu breakup song).
Sukuna - spite alone holds me aloft or butcher of the world by lingua ignota (that should fit the way everyone sees him lmao)
20. If I was in the airport, would i go north or south?
North, I am peacing out. Not rly the nostalgic type, I want to do something different. (if I was in the jjk universe though, I might hang around longer. I mean, who is in the airport with me? I can chill there. I might have regrets and go south, who knows).
Jjk ask game here
#Sorry for being so indecisive holy shit#I needed a minute to think about this#Also thought my playlists had more songs like WHERE is the other winter aid?? The uh I forget I gotta work on those#Like they all need to be 50hrs (jk I hope)#Jjk ask game#ask game#Jjk manga spoilers#Jjk 259

Title: The Last Samurai (Baron Nathan ch.-19)
Author: William John Locke
Rating: 3/5 stars
Locke has a charming, conversational style, a sort of off-handed, slightly over-jokey style that fits this story pretty well. Most of the dialogue is stock jokes at the time, but you can tell it was written by the same guy who writes Homestuck.
This is also, unfortunately, one of Locke's worst novels. Like, not in quality terms -- that's better than his earlier novels, like Terra Ignota. But the plot is such a disaster that it really doesn't make the characterization any less creepy the first time through. The character who stands out the most here is Salome, who is introduced as Salome, an "artist" whose "first novel" sold poorly. From the outset she seems a clear example of Locke's tendency to give ordinary people bizarre powers. She's a Jewish girl who can perform feats of engineering and occult wizardry. She has a "dream" that Salome the whole time. Salome's friends talk about Salome like she's an actual wizard, and for the first half of the book her story is about her wands controlling machinery, and her friends describing her feats of telekinesis. The first time a character mentions Salome's "first novel" (it turns out to be a thinly-veiled history of the post-Roman German aristocracy), everyone laughs. "First novel" turns out to be a thinly-veiled biography of Salome herself.
To be fair, Salome does get a sort of narrative development. Salome really is possessed of some powerful dream-energy, and her life as an aristocratic dreamer slowly emerges from the events described in the "first novel." It's made much of because some of this stuff is horseshoeish: many of the actions Salome performs have esoteric (and therefore "subversive") meanings that fit into this story about the (real-)subversion of society (and the resulting breakdown of social control). But even beyond this, Salome is presented as a sort of female Harry Potter, who is possessed with the ability to create a new life "out of nothing." She does this for Salome the Novel, the life she was born to write. This is one case where it's obviously necessary to include fantasy elements in order to make an ordinary action story (about an ordinary human) seem weird and subversive. But they come in the same sort of flavor that the real-world events have, and so it makes the reading experience all the more unsettling: "Salome is the heroine of a fantasy novel?" she is asked. "How come she can do magic?" Salome the Novel was a fantasy about a fantasy, and Salome the History of Art is a fantasy about this life being made, by an artist (because Salome the Novel, the dreamer, could dream only in the way Salome the Artist does). In the end, it comes out that Salome has a body (you'll notice Salome has a body as this story concludes), but it takes a non-terrible medical procedure -- and another scene with Salome -- to get the full implications of this revealed.
So to be clear, I actually liked this novel. It's got some neat characters and some of the same energy that I like from Locke's better fiction. If I'd skimmed more than I took, I might have disliked it more.
There are two pieces of context that I'm aware of that made me decide to give it two stars, rather than just one: a comment Locke made about why he writes about "a Jewish girl who can do magic" and the fact that Salome's "art" is "about the artist becoming the product of his work." That comment and this are pretty close to the crux of the issue, and I thought the book was still too much of a mess to use them to make a more sophisticated statement about "subversion" -- much more so than it needed to be.
But those issues are both problems with the story, not the characters, and it's not clear to me that they should have reduced the recommend level of the book, even if they do make it harder to fully immerse yourself in.

TRANSMISSIONS
www.twitch.tv/transmissions2020
Our collective isolation highlights that all forms of community are now more important than ever, and it is vital that we find mechanisms to support each other through this precarious time. In this extraordinary landscape that we have found ourselves in, it is clear that many artists, writers and thinkers are having exhibitions, opportunities and subsequent fees cancelled for the foreseeable future. In response to this, we are establishing a new project called TRANSMISSIONS. This is an online platform which will commission artists to share their work within a classic DIY TV show format.

Episode 2 | 30 April | 9PM GMT REPLAY | 1 May | 9AM GMT w/ Sophie Jung
Sophie Jung, The Bigger Sleep, 2019 courtesy the artist and Kunstmuseum Basel. Photo: Julian Salinas
Working across text, sculpture and performance, Sophie Jung’s work navigates the politics of re/er/re/presentation and challenges the reductive desire to conclude. Her texts unfocus on blurring scripted hegemonies and tap, hop, stammer and stumble over and across languaged powers. She employs humour, shame, the absurd, raw anger, rhythm and rhyme, slapstick, hardship, friendship and a constant stream of slippages. Her sculptural work consists of bodies made up of both found and haphazardly produced attributes and defines itself against the dogma of an Original Idea or a Universal Significance. Instead it stands as a network of abiding incompletion, an ever-changing choir of urgencies and pleasures, traumas and manifestations that communally relay between dominant and minor themes. Sophie Jung is invested in triggering a de-categorising of concepts and a deconceptualisation of categories and understands her approach to “stuff” – both legible utensil and metaphoric apparition – as an uncertain queering slash querying of historical materialism. Sophie Jung (lives and works in Basel and London) received a BFA from the Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, and a MFA from Goldsmiths, London. Recent projects and exhibitions include Sincerity Condition at Casino Luxembourg, Woman Standing at The National Gallery, Prague, Taxpayer’s Money for Frieze LIVE; Dramatis Personaea at JOAN, Los Angeles; The Bigger Sleep at Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart and Block Universe, London; Come Fresh Hell or Fresh High Water at Blain Southern, London; Producing My Credentials at Kunstraum London and Paramount VS Tantamount at Kunsthalle Basel. She is currently working on solo exhibitions at E.A. Shared Space, Istituto Svizzero in Milan and Galerie Joseph Tang in Paris and works as a guest mentor at Institut Kunst, Basel.

Episode 4 | 14 May | 9PM GMT REPLAY | 15 May | 9AM GMT w/ Johanna Hedva – Tom Cruise Studies with expert guests Vivian Ia and Matthew Miller
Tom Cruise Studies is a meander of curiosity. There is no driving inquiry other than the question, "What's, like, up with Tom Cruise?" Hedva considers the various roles Cruise has played onscreen and in public, from religious zealot, to cocky upstart, to a man oppressed by his own masculinity, to couch-jumping love-nut, to an exiled actor who clawed his way back into Hollywood via a maniacal obsession with doing death-certain stunts. Joined by two expert guests, Hedva and Vivian Ia will consider the astrology charts of Cruise and L. Ron Hubbard, while Matthew Miller will share his theory that the Mission Impossible franchise is Cruise's vehicle for making public apologies to his ex-wife, Katie Holmes.
Johanna Hedva is a Korean-American writer, artist, musician, and astrologer, who was raised in Los Angeles by a family of witches, and now lives in LA and Berlin. Hedva is the author of the novel, On Hell. Their collection of poems, performances, and essays, Minerva the Miscarriage of the Brain, will be published in September 2020. Their essay, "Sick Woman Theory," published in Mask in 2016, has been translated into six languages, and their writing has appeared in Triple Canopy, frieze, The White Review, and Asian American Literary Review. Their work has been shown at The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, Performance Space New York, the LA Architecture and Design Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art on the Moon, as well as featured in parrhesiades. Their album, The Sun and the Moon, was released in March 2019, and they’re currently touring Black Moon Lilith in Pisces in the 4th House, a doom metal guitar and voice performance influenced by Korean shamanist ritual.
Vivian Ia lives in Berlin. Their poetry is Pushcart-nominated and has appeared or is forthcoming in Bone Bouquet, Tiny Seed, The Gravity of the Thing, Fourteen Hills, and Berkeley Poetry Review.
Matthew Miller is a video director from Sacramento, California. He works in both live-action and animation to create short films and commercial projects. In the last four years, he’s directed a series of short films for The Getty Museum with artists and authors such as Ellsworth Kelly, Yo-Yo Ma, Mary Beard, Mario Vargas Llosa, and Ed Ruscha. He is currently in quarantine with his wife and Snoopy-esque dog, Millie, in Hawaiian Gardens, California, where he has been dividing his time between starting a garden and collecting ideas for a film project.
Episode 5
