Champion Golub (Imp Russia) born 15/3/1889 by Ataman II (Gleboff) x Golubka (Walzoff) was bred by Prince D P Walzoff and owned by the Duchess of Newcastle. Golub became a noted winner and his daughter Ina who won 2 CCs is the mother of Ch Caspian, Ch Kieff and Grand Ch Plevna plus others. Golub is behind modern dogs. This painting commissioned by the Duchess of Newcastle is by the artist John Emms.

Ch 8 focuses on the trio in Oxford—Edmund, Merlin, and Lucy—as they celebrate the (imminent) end of the war. Edmund wonders at the secrets he’s willing to give away, Merlin considers whether or not he’s worth them, and Lucy wishes they’d stop wasting all this time thinking already.
