beck is 5’9 but says they’re 5’11 because by their logic, people who are 5’11 usually round up to 6’0 making it less likely for them to be called out for lying.

navya is 5’10”.

martin is the person saying he’s 6’0” but is actually 5’11”.

daniel is 5’7”.

parker is 5’5”.

zach is 5’10” but his player bio says 6’0”. he’s never corrected anyone on this.

vivian is 5’8”.

jules is 5’7”, but people tend to think she’s taller than she actually is.

Beck Haworthe | they/them | RO

Horror movie aficionado, philosophy major, and quite bluntly, someone who wants nothing to do with you, they unfortunately find themself swept up in the whole debacle. The only way to survive is to trust one another. Right? Right?

Navya Advaithi | they/she | RO

A criminal justice major who prefers to say they're pre-law, Navya is ambitious, witty, and flawlessly charming. If someone was primed and prepared for success, it's them. You kind of get the feeling they see you as something akin to a lapdog – yippy and insignificant. Well, on the bright side at least they think you're cute?

Martin "Marty" Přehrádka | he/him | RO

Serial (ha) commitaphobe, sports-med major, and social butterfly, Marty is widely known and somehow, despite having had wheeled all and sundry, is widely loved. Possibly the first genuine airhead you've ever met. Possibly. The chance of it being an act is low, but not zero.

Daniel Navarro | he/him | RO

With a strong moral compass and a camera talent that belongs in Nat Geo, Daniel is eager to assist in your search for the truth. Maybe too eager. His reasons are a secret. It'd probably be an easier task to draw blood from a stone – he's stubborn to a fault.

Parker Derringer | she/her | RO

Sugar sweet and an avid animal shelter volunteer, Parker has somehow landed her way on your list of suspects. You just can't help but feel like you can't trust her – she might be guilelessly honest and is armed with an airtight alibi, but something deep within you tells you there's more to the story.

Zachary "Zach" Kane | he/him

Your new best friend, you found Zach crying at a Nu Theta function and you've been the world's most unlikely pair ever since. Is on a constant on-and-off relationship with his girlfriend and has a penchant for landing himself in unlucky situations.

Julia "Jules" Yamamoto | she/her

A business major and somehow locked in a one-sided rivalry with you over something you're a little too afraid to ask for details on, Jules probably wouldn't shed a tear if you turned up in a grave.

Vivian Pham | she/her

Your part-time manager and the main point of social interaction in your life, Vivian was the one who invited you to the party that fateful night. Firm believer in work hard play hard, she unironically loves inspirational quotes and is never found without something Lululemon-branded.

hellllooooo, congrats on the launch of your demo!! could we get random facts about the ROs? whether these are outside the relationship with the MC or outside of it

beck chews while thinking. they used to constantly wear this necklace of puka shells, but they made a habit out of chomping on the cord, and it eventually snapped. you'll frequently see them chewing on their lip or with gum in their mouth for this exact reason.

navya uses the least filler words out of the ROs – they have a tendency to speak very carefully and thoughtfully, so compared to say, someone like vivian, words like "uh", "um", and "like" don't pop up in their dialogue a lot.

marty has the longest natural eyelashes out of the entire cast. with those and his dimples, he's pretty much honed being able to charm the hell out of people within minutes. call it a talent.

daniel doesn't have a concrete taste in music. it'll range from anything from math rock to like, compiled themed playlists on youtube that are titled things like "the villain is in love with you" to kid cudi within the span of an hour.

parker is double-jointed and used to terrify her classmates by wiggling around or hyperextending her fingers like a party trick. she stopped doing it on purpose by the time she graduated from high school, but when she gets distressed or anxious you'll see her unconsciously wringing her fingers.

What makes the ROs blush?

beck flusters when they say something unintentionally. they have a tendency to get comfortable with people without them even realizing it, which leads them to go "hey wait i feel WHAT around this person????" reacts to situations hours later.

navya is when they get second-hand embarrassment. you'll see them hiding their face when something incredibly dumb happens around them. the cringe is real.

marty is a wild card, because he doesn't really blush per say? he'll respond to flirting and such in a way you'd expect of him, but he's not really one to show it by flushing. maybe when he gets really drunk, i guess.

daniel is the opposite to marty. just compliment him – he starts turning darker really easily. and this really goes for anything, but compliment his photography, and he'll start looking away frantically.

parker just loves blush in general, so she always has a prettily flushed situation going on 24/7. another iron wall – she makes you blush, not the other way around.

Super excited for the game! I was just wondering but are all the characters queer and how do they identify?

it's explained more over the course of the story, but yes! i put character-by-character explanations under the cut for content and some (very mild) spoilers.

beck pretty comfortably identifies as queer all-around in regards to their gender and sexuality. they're more on the aro side of things, but i don't think they'd be really big on labels – if asked, you'd just get a "i'm queer" and a shrug.

navya realized they were non-binary and into girls AND guys sometime in middle school, but decided not to really explore or deal with it until they got to college. it caused a lot of difficulty for them towards the tail end of high school, but they're like beck in the sense that they're perfectly comfortable with what they identify with now.

martin is a self-identified chaotic bisexual who had zero experience with same-sex relationships until he entered his sophomore year of college, but still approached it with a totally nonchalant attitude. 350% happy with himself and his sexuality. will make it your business whether you like it or not.

daniel is pretty firmly in the closet and has certain days where he's really into men, and others where he questions and doubts the validity of his sexuality a lot. his experience with religion growing up impacted how he viewed himself immensely, and he struggles with trying to reconcile the different parts of his identity.

parker considers herself to be demiromantic and bisexual but she's not particularly open about her orientation. she doesn't bring it up or mention it, and tends to deflect when asked since she views hers as a private thing. with beck and navya in the "comfortable" club.

zach is difficult: i'd consider him to be bisexual, but he never acknowledges or acts on his attraction to men over the course of the story. he just has a strong preference for women and hasn't given sexuality much thought.

jules is still thinking about her sexuality, but mostly leans towards women. she's not really big on the idea of exploring relationships while she's attempting to get her degree, so most of the time she steers clear of addressing her attraction to anyone.

vivian is very happily queer, and has a preference for athletes. is happy to discuss it too – before she started interning, she used to be involved in helping to organize events for the lgbtq center at her university.

i mean to their credit, you are kind of the central point of the whole murder thing. anyways! to be more accurate it's more like a "nope, no way. i'm not helping you" to "wait... i think i'm having feel*ngs" route than a traditional enemies to lovers.
