Alaluria and Lorinath (belf demon hunter, younger brother of Kael'thas, all around goofball and sweetheart.)

I was confused at first. I thought he was a canon character so didn’t know about 😂 but oc right?

Well, Alaluria is generally fond of most of the other Illidari. (they all seem to have a weird but close sort of bond in canon which makes sense. They’ve gone through hell together)

And while she generally postures quite a bit, you know, she’s tough and scary aaaa (lmao), but she is not immune to goofballs and sweethearts. No matter how much she denies it.

She’d probably find herself secretly fond of him in one way or another. Playing up the exasperation when he’s being silly but at the same time it’s like ‘if anyone touches this sweet cinnamon roll It’s on sight’

Fascinated by the realization that Ladelia was so young she most likely doesn’t remember their parents

She tries. Diily tells her about them. How their mother had blue hair like her and Alaluria and their father had purple hair like Diily.

Diily tells her how their mother was a huntress. They had family in Suramar on their mother’s side but their grandparents didn’t like their father for some reason so they didn’t see them often.

They’ve passed by the time they return to Suramar thousands of years later.

She tells her that their dad was a fisherman like his parents. That his parents adopted him when they found him all alone as a baby. Their grandfathers were very nice and humble people.

She says their dad was magically inclined like her but he didn’t seem to like magic as much as she does for some reason. Diily says he started studying it again though when she first showed magical ability so he could help her and teach her if she needed it.

Diily tells her that their mother always seemed like the most powerful person in the world to her like there was nothing she couldn’t do. She also says her smile was always soft and full of love for them.

She says their father was always laughing. He was silly. Diily tells her she’s a lot like him but that’s the only way she knows she is.

She says that they always kissed them goodnight and tucked them in. Their father liked to tell them stories and use funny voices.

She says their mother sang them a lullaby, she asks Diily to sing it to her once and she does but later she hears her sister crying softly when she thinks they’ve fallen asleep. She doesn’t ask again and Diily sings her different songs.

She says Ladelia liked to sit with her and their father while they fished. Alaluria sometimes had a hard time sitting still for that long but her father was always patient with her and always give her something to do so she wouldn’t get bored.

She says their parents encouraged Alaluria’s interest in rocks and jewels. She thinks about that every time she sees Alaluria doing something with gems.

Diily says their mother is the one who taught her archery and how to work with leather and skin animals. She taught her to always thank the animal for its sacrifice, to always respect her prey. She starts noticing that Diily takes a moment to do this after every kill.

More than anything else though Diily tells her they were loved. Their parents loved them more than life itself and that’s why they gave their lives to save them.

She wants to remember them so badly.

It seems strange to miss people she can’t even remember but she thinks she does.

Sometimes she swears she has vague memories of the things Diily tells her but it’s more that her mind builds images to fill in the blank spots she knows should be there.

…and at that point is it even her memory at all?

How horny are Alalauria and Illidan?

..... in both senses of the word, lol

Technically Illidan is hornier as you can see. His horns are very large

And hers are small in comparison

But….I have a feeling it’s the other way around when it comes to who’s more the other kind of of horny ;)

Illidan doesn’t come off as an overly sexual person tbh. Even with Tyrande. He’s usually expressing romantic interest rather than purely sexual.

(I mean it’s often argued it’s not actual love he feels for Tyrande or simply an obsession with something he can’t have but we’ll put that discussion aside for the sake of simplicity)

as much as I like to joke we have canon bisexual Illidan (which I still do headcanon) I think the den of delights was more for the demons than it was for himself. Idk I just don’t see Illidan as an overly promiscuous guy. (he’s been in love with the same woman for 10,000 years lmao)

But assuming he does experience sexual attraction and is just..private about it and selective (Demisexual Illidan perhaps?) I think in a relationship with Alaluria he’d be down but it wouldn’t be a huge issue to him?

Like yeah sure it’s fun. He’s very much attracted to her. He’ll happily take her to pound town but also they’ve got demons to kill so they can’t spend all their time fucking. :P

Does what Alalauria cannot see scare her?

Demon Hunter sight is weird in the sense that they’re blind but as Illidan said “You can see everything.”

So, ironically there isn’t much she isn’t aware of despite technically having no eyes lmao. In her immediate environment I mean.

But if things can slip under her radar..hm, I’m not sure I’d say it’s fear as much as unease. She doesn’t like being caught off guard or not knowing.

It puts her on edge because she doesn’t know if there’s a threat to be aware of or not.

Started getting emotional thinking about Diily visiting the orphanage in Stormwind when she’s in town

It started after one of those children’s holidays one year and became a thing where she visits once in a while and tells them about whatever adventures she’s been having.

And Brightheart and Wildheart, big babies that they are, patiently let the kids pet them and tumble all over them her, purring softly.

(The lady who runs the orphanage was understandably more than a bit nervous about this at first but now is cool with it after Diily demonstrated they are harmless when not in battle)

Brightheart already has lots of experience with kids tumbling all over her, accidentally pulling on her fur and tail, just generally being kids…she experienced all that with the three Wintermoon girls growing up so she doesn’t even blink.

She’s just like “oh little small eared children hello” (after Teldrassil suddenly there are more than a few night elf children there too though..)

And frankly Diily does it because she knows what it’s like to be an orphan and these kids don’t..don’t really have anyone?

Mother mode activated

(It’s healing for her in a lot of ways)

But Ladelia is absolutely annoyed when she’s not explicitly invited (Diily doesn’t really think to do so because it’s become her thing she does on her spare time) and invites herself along

She’s a mage. She is literally a walking carnival of tricks and fun. She can make treats! (Not even just mana ones! She’s a great cook!!) She can do all kinds of cool..magic stuff.

And she’s goofy and fun and Diily’s heart is so warm watching her entertain them. Why she didn’t think to have her tag along she doesn’t know. (Maybe a part of her was being defensive of her own healing wounds)

Alaluria…avoids it at first despite being asked to come because..look at her. She isn’t exactly excited at the prospect of terrifying little kids with the whole demonic appearance thing (because regardless of how much she would deny it, it hurts to be seen as a monster)

And frankly she’s not naturally good with kids like the other two are. She’s not bad with them. As prickly as she can be she’d never be cruel to a child. Just a little awkward like she isn’t sure what to do with them lmao.

But you know, kids are always more accepting than you’d think. They’ve seen all kinds of people growing up in Stormwind (demon hunters included)

She ends up being good with them in her own way.

(She doesn’t want to ever have kids of her own and she won’t. She’s perfectly satisfied with being the Cool Aunt to the kids Diily and Ladelia may have in the future)

They’re so interested in her wings and she can’t help but find it endearing. “That’s so cool!” Yes, she can fly..watch this. Haha!!

And okay maybe demonstrating some of her powers at their request was a bit much, Miss Orphanage Lady but they asked.. ( and they thought the eye beam was so cool!!!)

And if she feels a less and less like a monster after these visits..well she keeps it to herself <3

I just 🥺 it would be so good and healing for all three of them and the kids too.

And naturally they’re all good at their respective professions (Skinning/Leather Working, Enchanting/Tailoring, Mining/Jewelcrafting) so they often bring stuff for them.

Little gifts, toys, clothes, etc. (Thinking about the Darkmoon Fair quest where you make toy prizes)

Alaluria is just like hey look at this gem I found the other day and it’s expensive and rare but one of the kids is fawning over it so she really doesn’t give a damn about it’s worth. Take it. Keep it or pawn it for some gold to spend at the market, she doesn’t mind either way.

Ladelia is..not allowed to enchant their shoes to make them run extremely fast anymore

But pieces of clothing that are enchanted to keep you extra warm, or other normal things? Definitely.

She does create light up magic shoes tho and that’s really fucking cool to the kids. (Dkdkdkdkf)

And now there are more kitties to cuddle. Well, Shadowclaw is a little intimidating at first, being a felsaber but like with Alaluria, the kids don’t seem particularly fazed.

Shadow just lays there patiently and she isn’t as pleasant to pet as her siblings and mother. She no longer has fur, she’s bone and scaly skin, but they seem to like her anyway.

Morningflower is an angel, very playful like Ladelia she’s always tumbling around with them, (always gentle, claws always sheathed, she’s aware of her size in comparison)

(they are all very well behaved sabers thank you very much)

And Alaluria has a knack for getting the quiet ones, the troublesome ones who are known for their acting out and temper tantrums and getting them to open up. And hey kid..I get it, you’re angry and you know what? that’s alright but..let’s find a better way to let it out?

(Although not through demon killing like her..like actual healthy coping mechanisms..she may have had to ask around to figure out what those would be first actually oops)

Maybe, it’s the survivalist/huntress in Diily but she’s immediately like..these children need basic survival skills ASAP. She somehow manages to make teaching basic first aid fun though. (With Ladelia’s help)

Heartbreaking thought of the night - Diily and her sisters will most likely see Brightheart pass in their lifetimes and it hurts

She’s far older than they are, she grew up alongside their mother.

And she’s still spry as ever right now but eventually her age will catch up with her. Her muzzle is a little grey currently but she’s still got a lot of years left in her.

But Diily will know when it’s time. She’ll know it’s coming when Brightheart struggles to get up to greet them, when she can’t walk with them or hunt for them (she hasn’t been able to ride her for a very long time now at this point) And she sleeps more often than anything now and Diily just knows.

But when Brightheart passes it’s with all her children (both elves and saber) curled around her. She’s lived a good life. She’s fulfilled her duty. She protected, cared for and loved them for so long but they’ll be okay now without her. She knows that. She did good. She dies happy and loved and is finally reunited with Laeona. (And now alongside their parents she’ll wait for the day she can be reunited with them once again)

But oh god my girls will be devastated when she dies. (Diily will take it the hardest but they’re all be so fucking heartbroken. Ouch ouch ouch)

She’ll be the first to greet them when they too pass. Because god she’s missed her children so very much and now she can run and hunt with them again, free from any pain or limitations.
