Note
I don't know why - but the idea of Taehoon being a girl and the Manager Kim trio all having daughters is just so cool to me because then on the scale you would have :
Kim Minji : Manager Kim's daughter, really smart but can't really read between the lines, doesn't know how to fight
Park Dabin : borderline a bully, can literally b**ch-slap sense into you, has a threatening aura
Seong Taehyun : this 6 foot one gremlin who likes volleyball and tekken and her friendsbut can kick you into oblivion
Also it would be so funny to have Park Jincheol and Manager Kim worry so much about their daughters and Hansu still be so chill about Taehyun (ig that's how a genderbent Taehoon would be named) is so chill about it.
It's even funnier if the three of them hang out for girl time or whatever and Taehyun - with being so tall and probably wearing pants with her uniform because it's easier to kick in - is like the person who scares off anyone who intimidates them.
It would also make her interactions with Yoo Hobin and Co. funnier because I feel like they wouldn't treat her any differently, but it's be like a big sister scolding the stupid younger siblings.
Girl Taehoon finally biologically girlified. I think Minji wouldn't have been bullied because she can just call her little (tall) sis and eradicate all her enemies, and Dabin might actually start her own crew #girliepops. Imagine Dabin picking on Yohan's girlfriend just cause her baby sis is Yohan's sunbae.
Dabin: "Girlie, you have the audacity to pose us our little Yohan's girlfriend.."
Yohan, whining while being held back by Taehyun: "Knock it off, Park Dabin!"
Dabin, flipping her hair nonchalantly: "You think you're his special friend? You think you've seen something we haven't?"
Lua, stuttering: "Excuse me?! What?!"
Taehyun: "You think we haven't seen his kind and caring nature?"
Dabin, flicking Lua's forehead: "Get your mind off the gutter, girl."
The whole Ji Yeonwoo thing with Yoo Hobin Co. would be less drama and be hell funnier too.
Yeonwoo, a few days later in recovery after getting beat up by a six foot pole girl: "Taehyunssi.. I really owe you. I hope we can get along and *blushes* maybe we can grab dinner sometime.."
Taehyun: "Nah. Don't take it the wrong way. I just got pissed cause you reminded me of how my boyfriend's situation used to be. I couldn't just stand and do nothing. You guys are a lot alike."
And Hobin and the other kids would be like: "Whoa, you guys heard that?! Not only is Taehyun so beautiful and cool and strong and scary, she also has an extremely cool and popular and handsome and DEFINITELY 10/10 boyfriend. Sis really got it all."
And then Taehyun shows up with this supposed extremely cool boyfriend of hers (Dowoon) and he's a twiggy, timid thing a foot shorter than her and looks like Hobin.
All the kids of Yoo Hobin Co., eyes narrowed and holding a magnifying glass each: "So which part of this kid reminds you of Yeonwoo."

Hey brother
@rkxdowoon
{ tw: weight talk }
Although their parents were the ones who had initially given their agreement for both of their sons to sign contracts as trainees, they were also now the ones who thought that they were doing too little together as a family. Vacation plans now cancelled as neither of the two could get time off, it seemed that they were especially affected now that the summer break was less than a month away. So once the boys had got home from their weekend practice, they had entered straight into an emergency family meeting where even Jiyoo seemed to be judging them.
Daehwi was mainly confused at the extra special family dinner that had been prepared and while he did enjoy it, he found his mother’s insistence to eat more kind of annoying. ‘You’re way too skinny!’ she’d say to him, but it wasn’t his fault that he was constantly moving around and had trouble gaining weight.
After dinner came game time, and with game time came Daehwi getting absolutely owned by Dowoon in Mario Karts. Eyebrow twitching as he fell over the edge of the road in Rainbow Road for probably the twentieth time that lap, a sour glance was shot towards the older. “Hey. Hyung. How come you’re so good at this? Maybe it’s the controller?” And with those words, he lunged out to steal his brother’s controller and totally not to sabotage his winning streak.

➟「災害プレイ」guitar disaster。
@rkxdowoon
Today was not his day to say the least. Throughout the entire thing he felt as though he should have just gone with what he was good at, what would be easy for him, and yet here Youngjae was, holding a guitar and trying to keep track of his fingers. The piano class later in the weekend was different -- although not proficient in the instrument, at least he had dedicated a month of his life to try and play something decent even if that was all back when he had been a trainee. On a guitar he was a hopeless newbie.
Worst was that he was making a fool of himself in front of a familiar face. Certainly they had made amends, but that didn’t mean that he wanted Dowoon to see him and how horrible he was at this thing. He was expecting laughter and mockery if only out of habit, but somehow it seemed that the other was equally bad as him, if only a slight bit better.
Although he had started to be able to read nodes thanks to said month, there was a huge difference between the keys of a piano and the strings of a guitar. “These chord notes make no sense at all,” he complained with frustration in his voice, looking at the papers that should supposedly help them with playing simple chords. Head tilting towards Dowoon, he let out a scoff. “I swear whenever I use more than one finger it feels like I’m just getting tangled up in this stupid instrument.”

Sweet talk to me babe
@rkdowoon
This evaluation seemed fairly simple compared to some other there had been this year, but as a person who barely spoke another language courtesy of a bad English teacher throughout high school, Hwanwoong knew that it was just a matter of getting it over and done with. But how hard could it be to sing in English? Apparently very much so. He felt a sigh leave him as he sat with the lyrics distribution open on the screen of his tablet, the foreign letters jumping around in one confusing jumble. Fortunately he didn’t have too many parts thanks to the nature of the song and the fact that they were six members in the group.
Seeing one of his group mates return from a bathroom trip, Hwanwoong rose his hand in greeting. “Dowoon hyung, which parts did you have again?” There were some people you could pinpoint their position on their looks, but with Dowoon it seemed like one big mystery to him. Like Gray hyung for instance, he radiated rapper while someone like Taemin hyung was a born dancer. “I’m sorry, I promise I’ll remember this time! It’s just hard to keep track of everyone when I don’t really know people... I need to know where everyone is to change the choreography to fit six people.”

「  Be My Last 」 ⇢ Royal Eval June 2k20 | +3 CH ; +2 DB ; +1 Wk High Notes ⇢ Yuzu branching out once a mothereffin’ gain [ Q & A | Peppermint Chocolate ]
“ once again she signed up for two projects, not knowing she would be working on a third. ”
as the end of the month came around, yuzu was confident in her groups and her own skills to perform well. despite a million things swirling around in her mind; from worrying about gahyeon and her both making it into heartz, over how the other royal girls would feel once they found out they had auditioned to how this could be her last eval under royal and dowoon was the only fellow trainee she worked with for this potentially last month.
being a usually loyal and honest person, she almost felt like she was cheating when she kept her audition to herself from the boy who had gotten in trouble along with her.
she made sure to push all these thoughts away though as she prepared for her performances. while q&a was technically her baby, she made sure to invest equally as much time into preparing for both performances, even when her own chosen song was the harder challenge for the triple threat. hitting these high notes and mirroring the vocal strength to match her own raspy voice was something she had to work with a lot of confidence to pull it off.
the boys had been nothing but sweet during their rehearsals though and even while she performed with them, she was glad to have won them over for this eval. chris and vok were both in sphere and she couldn’t help but wonder if she were to see them more often in the future months to come.
waiting for results really wasn’t her strongest skill.
on the other hand performing with seokwoo felt almost easy, granted the two had been friends for so long. it made dealing with her guilt towards dowoon almost easy. calming her mind with the thought she didn’t want to wake sleeping dogs, the female let herself go through that vocal performance easy as well. the added dash of rap a welcome change to mix things up. not getting to dance for this month again was a bit of a bummer for the girl who wanted to improve the steadiness of her vocal performance while dancing but at least that way she could confidently deliver without having to worry about any wavers in her voice.
at the end of the day yuzu was satisfied with both her performances. only a few days now till she’d find out if that would be her last eval under royal.
once she was alone to herself, standing in front of the royal building the female sighed. perhaps all her worries would be for nothing and she wouldn’t get chosen but it sure did feel like a goodbye regardless.

Cerulean Skies CH 3.

____________________________________________________
Wonpil was getting sick of Jae and his weirdass delusions. Everytime Jae “saw,” white-haired guys in their living room, Wonpil was conveniently in his bedroom practicing, or at the supermarket. Whatever it was, Jae was aggravating him.
“You need to lighten up on Jae-hyung,” Sungjin advised. “He’s probably just stressed out.”
“Sungjin-hyung, this is weird and I am tired of Jae-hyung crying wolf,” Wonpil complained
“What if he isn’t crying wolf?” Sungjin asked.
“Oh what, like people in long robes with white hair are just going to pop up in my living room,” Wonpil replied as they picked through the cupboards.
“Bowl,” Sungjin demanded. Wonpil handed him a bowl and Sungjin dumped chips into it. “Where is Hyung, by the way?” Sungjin asked as he added pretzels to the mixture of chips and popcorn.
“He’s been drooling over a new guitar,” Wonpil answered as he dumped chocolate chips into the bowl.
“Is it a good idea to let him out alone?” Sung Jin asked with a laugh.
“Eh, he’ll be fine.” Wonpil brushed off. The two made their way into the living room only to stop. In the middle of Jae and Wonpil’s living room stood a young man with long brown hair and long purple robes.
“Hyung?” Wonpil called.
“Call Jae-hyung,” Sungjin commanded. “Now!” He yelled allowing Wonpil to snap out of his shock and race to grab his phone from the kitchen.
“Hyung, you need to come back. Now.” Twenty minutes later Jae sat on the couch with Wonpil and Sungjin. The boy with long hair and long robes was looking at everything. The other three watched him move back and forth.
“Told you.” Jae bragged.
“Oh, yippee, you were right. Now get him out of here.”
“And make him go where?” Sungjin asked. “How did he even get in here?”
“I told you, it was a weird ball of light,” Jae informed the others. The boy began speaking to the three of them. All he got in return was six pairs of wide eyes. He nodded to them as if to reinforce whatever he had just said.
“We don’t understand,” Wonpil told the boy slowly. The boy waved as if he was telling Wonpil he was doing something right. “I don’t get it, what does he want me to do?” Wonpil asked the boys. The boy waved his hand over Wonpil, a light shining from it. The boys froze as they watched him.
“Did it work?” The boy asked in perfect Korean. The boys all looked at him in disbelief. “It didn’t?” he asked.
“It... did.” Jae hesitated.
“That’s great!” He cheered. “I’m Dowoon.” He introduced with a bow.
~
Younghyun laughed as another fireball fell to the ground.
“Will you stop laughing!” Ju Qiang pouted. The two had become very comfortable with each other in the two hours they had been practicing.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Younghyun apologized. “You’re way too tense. Relax. I’m not going to kill you if you can’t execute the spell.” He explained. “Fire is all about passion, right? Unadulterated power. If you’re tense, you’re not letting the power, the passion, or the emotion free.”
“How do I do that?” Ju Qiang asked.
“How do you what? Relax?” Younghyun asked incredulously. She gave him a glare. “Come on, it’s a weird question.” He defended. “Come here.” He waved. Ju Qiang stalked over to him. “Sit,” he commanded. She did. “Now, what makes you happy?” He questioned.
“Pretty things.” She replied. Younghyun smiled at her answer.  He leaned forward and began to create something. In his hands now sat a forming snowflake. Ju Qiang moved closer, watching as he made an intricate design. Younghyun solidified the snowflake and handed it to Ju Qiang. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the beautiful sculpture.
“Feel better?” Younghyun asked. Ju Qiang nodded as she smiled at him. He smiled back, feeling genuine happiness behind the expression. “Alright!” He exclaimed. “Last try, then we stop for the day,” Younghyun told her. Her face fell a little. She stood and took a deep breath. A small flame combusted in her hand. Both watched as it grew to a healthy size. Ju Qiang wound her arm back and released the flame. Instead of it puttering out after moving a couple of feet, the flame stayed strong and exploded when it hit the tree ten feet away.
“YES!” They both cheered.
“I can’t believe it!” Ju Qiang yelled.
“Okay.” Younghyun calmed her. “You were great, but this is just the beginning.” He reminded. “We’ll meet here in two days time, okay?” He scheduled.
“Right.” Ju Qiang agreed. Younghyun smiled at her proudly before mounting Xi Ning.
“Oh, wait!” Ju Qiang called, trying to hand the snowflake back to him.
“Keep it. It won’t melt in the fire clan’s territory,” he assured.
~
Dowoon made his way back through the portal. Jae, Sungjin, and Wonpil were more than helpful. He was able to get language, thank you magic, and was able to learn about this new world. Though it was exciting, Dowoon was happy to be in a familiar setting. A knock on his door derailed his train of thought.
“Yes.” He called. His aunt opened the door and peaked in.
“Hey.” She greeted him. “You ran back here so fast some would’ve thought you were running from a ghost.” She joked. Dowoon laughed with her. He connected more with his aunt than others. Like himself, people believed she would not amount to much. In fact, they thought she would not live long enough to do anything. However, with his father, Kasuo, Li Luo, and Shi’s help, his aunt was living. Happy and healthy. In similar regard, no one believed he could create a new type of magic, and now he has.
“I’ve been working.” He replied vaguely.
“On your magic?” She asked lightly. Another thing he loved about his aunt. Even though she joked about his belief that there was more to magic, she believed in him 100%.
“Yes.” He confirmed.
“Any developments I should know?” She asked.
“Not yet.” He lied. For now, Jae, Wonpil, Sungjin, and their one-floor apartment in the sky would remain his little secret.
~
“Hey?” Sungjin repeated, astonished by Jae’s lack of concern by Dowoon’s appearance.
“Hey?” Dowoon repeated, never having heard such causal terminology.
“What do you want me to do, bombard the poor kid with questions? Come on, Sungjin.” Jae replied.
“Kume Oun? Dowoon questioned.
“Don’t worry about it,” Jae told him. “I’m Jae.” He introduced. The American in him unconsciously stuck out his hand. Dowoon examined the gesture before grabbing hold of the offered hand.
“He’s so cute!” Sungjin exclaimed, squishing the confused boy’s cheeks. “I’m Sungjin.” He said, still squishing Dowoon’s face. Wonpil smacked Sungjin’s shoulder, causing him to let go of.
“I’m Wonpil.” He finished the introductions.
“It’s great to meet all of you,” Dowoon said.
“So, exactly where did you come from?” Jae questioned.
“The Dream clan,” Dowoon answered.
“What’s that?” Wonpil asked.
“I’m pretty sure it’s in a totally different world,” Dowoon replied. “From what I have observed, our evolutionary tracks are totally different. Mine evolved with magic, while yours evolved with... This.” Dowoon explained, patting the TV.
“Electricity.” Jae supplied.
“Sure,” Dowoon replied. “So, I made a portal between the two worlds.”
“Woah.” Sungjin exhaled.
“How?” Wonpil asked.
“It wasn’t easy, it took five years and lots of ridicule,” Dowoon explained.
“Well then, good job.” Wonpil complimented, patting the younger on the back.
“Why did you have to continuously scare me though?” Jae asked. “I honestly thought I was going crazy.” He complained.
“Sorry, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was doing. I’m still not, but, I’m hoping, with your help, I can figure it out.” Dowoon replied hopefully.
“I’m sure we can learn from each other, Dowoon-ah,” Sungjin assured. “Oh! Is it okay that I dropped formalities?” He asked.
“Sure, but what do I address you with?”
“How old are you?” Wonpil asked.
“23,” Dowoon answered.
“Then you address all of us as ‘hyung.’” Wonpil replied.
“All of you?” Dowoon asked.
“Yeah. If we’re all together and you want to talk to someone specific, say their name and then ‘hyung.’” Sungin explained. “ Take Wonpil for example, he’s younger then Jae-hyung and myself, So I’m Sungjin-hyung and he’s Jae-hyung.”
“Okay, I got it, hyung,” Dowoon assured.
“Good. then, what else would you like to know?”

Hey yah
@rkxdowoon
Why he was here Eric honestly wasn’t sure about. When he had heard about the speak up project he was more than honoured to be pulled aside for an offer to help out with one of the classes, and in a sense he still was, that wasn’t the problem. Just... Why hapkido? He hadn’t the faintest clue on where to even begin with martial arts although his sunbae had been kind enough to introduce him well to the plan and the schedule leaving him with a feeling that maybe he might be able to do this after all. No, there was never any doubt about that. He was Eric Sohn and he could do anything his mind was set to.
There was just one little thing. When he had bragged about being picked as assistant, his brother had insisted that he’d go to that particular class. And he had definitely kept his word. All throughout the introductions and demonstrations Eric could feel Dowoon’s amused glance on him. He’d definitely get him back for this somehow.
As it was time for the students to form pairs, Eric saw his cue as Dowoon was messing up the pose he had just been instructed in. “Yah, Yoon Dowoon ssi!” he called out to the other, trying to keep his face strict but unable to hide the amusement completely. “Your posture is all wrong. Like this you might fall when your partner attacks.” Clearing his throat, he took up the mentioned pose that he had been carefully instructed in and repeated until perfection so that he may show it without issues should it be necessary. “You have to be more like this. Get it?”

➟「運命」encountering fate。
@rkdowoon
One thing he simply had to get used to was new trainees coming every so often. With the buzz going on about two new Sphere people, it wasn’t surprising to believe that the same applied for other companies (after all he had heard about some big competition that had just been there, but Youngjae hadn’t paid it much attention). What he hadn’t anticipated however was for a familiar face to intrude upon his private practice in the room he had located especially so no one would judge his skill in dancing. Get the steps down first, get someone to correct it later, that was the plan.
In the mirror Youngjae’s glance fell at the figure that entered behind him, not actually expecting recognition, but finding it within the features of the other. And immediately a wince befell his face. He knew the guy and he couldn’t exactly say that their encounters thus far had been much pleasant, mainly thank to the other’s stubbornness and insistence on trying to insult him. How the fuck did they let a type like that into this place?
“I’m trying to train,” he pointed out shortly and coarsely, eye returning to his own figure in the mirror as he replayed the steps of the chorus through his body. “I don’t know how you got in here, but if you’re gonna start something I’m calling the guards to escort you out.”

Flyer 9!
@rkdowoon
He’d honestly lost count of the amount of flyers he’d handed out by now, the only thing that mattered was that the pile he’d been given that morning was greatly reduced. It was tougher that he’d thought for more than one reason, but Dowoon still considered it a fair price for his contract.
It felt like cheating to give the fliers to other trainees, though. But Royal had just said hand them out, they never specified to whom. With that in mind, Dowoon shy approached one of the trainees he’d seen on television earlier that year, holding out a flyer.
“Sorry to annoy you, sunbaenim. But I was wondering if you’d like a flier about Royal’s upcoming events. I know it’s useless to you, but if you know someone who might be interested, please pass it on! I’m looking forward to working with you in the future, sometime!”
The problem with Jinwoo was that he didn’t really knew how to say no. Once someone had hit him up, it was impossible for him to reject them -- or at least very very hard -- and thus his usual course of action when passing by people handing out stuff and expecting something from him in return was to walk as far around them as possible. Unfortunately they still somehow managed to catch him by surprise every once in a while, and today was one such day.
Already dreading his fate when the typical phrase came up, he paused and blinked after hearing the word ‘sunbaenim’. Glance went from the face of the guy to the flyer in his hand and he sighed in relief upon realising it was just someone who went through the exact same ritual that he himself had been through back then. Jinwoo gave the guy a smile and as he got a proper look, there was some form of recognition, although he couldn’t really place where or how he had met the other. Oh well, if it was important he’d probably remember it eventually as they saw each other every once in a while at the Seocho building.
“Thanks,” he said as he accepted the flyer. “As you said I can’t really use it myself, but I don’t mind helping you getting rid of those things, haha... It’s kind of a pain.” He felt a bit sheepish as he admitted to not liking this particular bit of the trainee life, but it couldn’t be helped. At least it was already over. “Good luck! And congratulations!”

One Year Later | Solo
July 21st, 2019
(tw: mentions of death and surgery)
It’s not until lunch time that it actually hits Dowoon. And when he realizes, he nearly spits his water everywhere. And then starts bawling, utterly bewildering his his poor fellow trainees.
(He continues to make one hell of an impression, doesn’t he?)
It’s been a year since his transplant. A year since he was dragged out of death’s grasp.
After his little wail-fest, Dowoon hastily excuses himself to duck into one of the free practice rooms and he sits on the floor, arms loosely wrapped his knees as he stares at a far wall, mulling everything over in his head.
What a difference a year makes. This day last year, he was barely hanging on by a thread, simply waiting for the darkness to take him. Now he’s a trainee at Royal Entertainment. This time last year his brother had been unceremoniously eliminated from the MGAs, now Eric progressing and getting more popular by the week. (That was the only good thing about this mess of an MGA season, as far as Dowoon was concerned.)
This time last year he barely knew Sunwoo, let alone the connection they had. Now he honestly couldn’t imagine life without his older brother.
It had been an insane year.
He also still thinks about the person who unwittingly saved his life. As with any other transplant patient, he knows nothing about his donor, only that he was a few years old and had been in a car crash and passed on 3 weeks later. Dowoon couldn’t help but feel guilty sometimes; he was here, living, breathing and being a trainee while a family mourned the loss of a son.
Dowoon wishes he could know who’d saved his life. He wishes he could go see his grave, express his thanks to the family whose son’s heart beats inside him now. But that’s not possible, so he’ll have to repay them in another way.
He won’t waste this second chance at life. He’ll become an idol and debut someday. He’ll travel the world and go to places his donor may never have been and experience as much as possible in that man’s place. It’s the least he can do; for his donor, for his family.
For himself.

「  Hola Hola!  」 ⇢ Royal Eval Prep April 2k20 | +2 CH ; +2 DB ⇢ Yuzu trying not to injure @rkxbin this time
“ after she literally hit him with a chair, yuzu thought changbin would never talk to her again. ”
looking for an eval partner yuzu was tempted to turn back towards her general pick and go to one of the other royal girls but part of her was hyped about this new coop group and wanted to attempt tackle one of the guys to do it with her instead. when moobin decided to leave royal, there were only dowoon and changbin left she knew who weren’t idols yet.
the first unlucky soul she stumbled upon was changbin and while she knew the guy had long forgiven her for the chair accident and they now all laughed about it, she was still certain he wouldn’t put himself in the danger of being anywhere near her line of fire again for whatever reason. apparently she had thought wrong. changbin appeared to be more of a brave man when he had actually agreed to team up with her, the dance okay with her and the song good.
once she got past her initial shock and the two of them actually got around to sit down and tackle the challenge, they both saw themselves frozen in the quest how to actually learn the dance though. yuzu had always followed a coach or gahyeon’s guidance, never really learning a dance from a video herself and changbin seemed to be just on the same page with her there, leaving them both to stare at the screen for a solid ten minutes at least before either of them got moving.
“well... a person grows with their challenges, right?” attempting to chuckle it off the streamer turns to an equally uncertain changbin, laughing nervously.
what on earth had she gotten herself into this time?
