he can still remember the very first day he met her — it was his first day on campus as part of his business management degree program, she’d been sitting under the tree reading a book, her silken locks flowing through the beautiful spring breeze, it looked like a painting of some sort that he couldn’t help but he entranced by.
it felt idiosyncratic in a way, he wasn’t the type to lose composure, be it on or off the pitch yet here he was, slowly but surely becoming hooked on an individual whom he hadn’t uttered a single syllable to, it seemed innocent at first, each day he would head to class he’d find her sitting there with a book in her hand and often times a cup of coffee.
four weeks … a complete month.
and he hadn't gathered an ounce of courage to approach her — throughout his time observing her, he’d discovered that they shared several classes, she was the independent owner of a landscape design company that had a moderate success which made sense given that the participants of that class were quite informative when it came to business.
he’d discovered so much and then some; yet he couldn’t bring himself up to speak to her. until …
he’d gotten to the lecture hall a bit late, the only seat available being that next to her — the mere fact he’d be sitting within close proximity had his cheeks redden as he carefully laid out his belongings, then offered her a sweet smile which she happily returned then shifted her focus back to the lecture.
every now and then, he’d steal a glance from her when he believed she wasn’t looking – it was rather arduous not to look at her as her beauty was akin to that of a beautiful spring breeze.
as the lecture concluded, he decided to try his luck and speak to her, " excuse me? " he said with a soft tone.
she looks up and smiles brightly, " hi " she said with a cheerful tone.
his heart had fluttered, her voice was gentle akin to a silken pillow one would rest their head on, " i … erm … " he chuckles nervously before adding. " i couldn’t help but notice how equipped you are about finance management and i was wondering if you’d be able to help me out because this is my first time "
she smiled softly, " of course … we can arrange study dates if you want? "
study dates, … no césar, don’t get too excited it’s just study dates. he chastised himself before smiling, " sure, here’s erm … here’s my number " he hands the piece of paper in which he had written his number.
" i’ll text you later to figure things out " she said with a soft tone before giggling and extending her hand, " where are my manners? hi i’m y/n l/n commonly known as y/n/n "
" nice to meet you " he grins shaking her hand, " césar azpilicueta, most people call me azpi "
" ah nice to meet you … latin american? " she wonders.
" likewise and erm … no, i’m uh … spanish actually " he chuckles softly.
" ooh … sorry about that " she said with an apologetic smile.
" don’t worry " he grins. " where are you from? your accent is … unique "
" not that unique " she states with a shy tone before adding. " i’m mixed, my father is german and my mother is colombian and because we moved in between, it kinda affected my accent "
" oh, that’s interesting " he states with an impressed expression, " and did you always live in the usa? "
she shakes her head and smiles, " i actually live in london "
his eyes widen, " really? so do i !! "
she grins, " yeah? what do you do there? "
he blushed from her inquiry, " i’m a … i’m a football player "
" really? oh my gosh i feel so stupid, i’m sorry i don’t keep up with local football or football in general, i’m always knee deep in work " she giggles.
jesus, what is it about her that’s driving me insane? he wonders before replying, " it’s fine, it’s actually good that you don’t " he chuckles.
" aw, fame huh? " she said sympathetically.
he nods softly, " well i better get going, don’t wanna hold you up any longer, i’ll see you around then "
" you most certainly will " she nods.
love is indeed unexpected, and for him — it’d taken a month and a half for him to realize that he wanted to be around her at all times, their study dates were refreshing, engaging in fruitful conversations that were either related to their lectures or just general topics, he found himself intrigued by her love for landscape design, and her several designs that were quite creative that he opted to make the passing comment of hiring her to design his back garden.
as time went on, he found himself seeking her presence further as their study dates developed into friendly encounters beyond the realm of school — there’d been moments where he wanted, no he ached to have her yet the prominent fear of rejection coupled with the fact that there was a significant decade age gap between them acted as a wall between them until … a study night had transformed into something more.
" what’s your biggest fear? " he had asked as the pair decided to end their study night with a glass of wine.
" i guess not being good enough at what i do, there’s a reason why i chose to be a landscape designer, we’re often so negligent that we forget to appreciate nature for what it is " she responds with a soft tone, " how about you? "
" me? " he reiterated and chuckled, " honestly, not being able to give back, it’s why i chose to complete my studies, i plan on opening up my own academy to ensure that these kids eric even more opportunities "
she cooed, " aw, that’s so sweet " she nudged him playfully then said. " you’ve got a good heart césar "
he blushed then murmurs, " thank you "
suddenly — a wave of silence falls over them before she broke it. " césar, it’s been nine months since we erm … and tell me that i’m the only one seeing it but, there is something between us, right? "
his eyes shot up; his face becoming as red as a tomato, " i … uh … " he rubs his neck then chuckles nervously, " yeah, but i didn’t want to admit it because of our age gap and the fact that you’re so amazing that i honestly felt insecure because i’m just a football player and you’re this whole other person, and right now i am losing all control here because i … i need you " he stated with a hoarse voice.
her eyes widen, " what? "
" i need you " he repeats the exacts same phrase, this time edging closer as his palm flat over her thigh sending shivers down her spine. " please "
she smiles softly, " i thought you’d never ask "
he closed the distance between them, placing a hand over the back of her neck, their lips devouring one another in a searing passionate kiss drawing out a muffled whine from her lips, a minute in he pulls back to whisper through ponderous breaths, " jesus, i’ve wanted to do that since the first time i saw you "
she beams as the atmosphere between became more passionate, she shuffled even closer until she straddles his lap, he placed his hands on her hips, desire flaming dancing within his cerulean irises, she leans in and whispers, " have you ever been controlled? "
he grunts in response, his pants becoming uncomfortably tight. " no, but there’s always room for experiment "
she smiles at his remark, her lips planting feather light kisses across his face down to his neck drawing out the sweetest melodious moans from his lips — " oh fuck " he whines, his eyes fluttering shut as she continued to lower her lips further down the exposed skin of his chest caused his breath to quicken.
" oh my … oh!!! " he whines, his chest rising and falling at a rapid pace. suddenly, without so much as a warning, his cock is freed of the confinement of his briefs, " oh amor … oh fuck me " he moans at the sensation of her lips and tongue wrapping around the entire length of his cock whilst she used her hand to stroke the rest.
his hand lands at the top of her head, his digits threading through her silken locks, " oh my .. you’re so good at that, don’t stop " he whispers, heaving ponderous breaths.
her eyes shot up to relish in the erotic sight of him withering and squirming under her touch, suddenly she decided to push her luck by using her tongue to lick the prominent veins which caused him to thrust his hips forward and whine, " jesus amor "
she proceeded to up the pace, using both her tongue and lips as well as her hand which in turn caused his muscles to tense, his cock twitching inside of her mouth releasing ropes of arousal down her throat, she lapped up every drop then pulled back, " do you feel good? " she whispers pressing tantalizing kisses across the length of his inner thigh.
he chuckles breathlessly, caressing her hair before replying. " i feel amazing, now would you mind coming up here "
she climbed up and was tugged into his lap before he began to press kisses over the top of her chest before nuzzling his face in her neck to catch his breath and that’s when she felt something wet against her neck, his body breaking down in silent sobs, which confused her for a brief moment; just then, she decided to rub his back gently, whispering sweet nothings in his ear, he then lifts his face to reveal his tear stained face, " i love you " he whispers.
she smiled softly then wiped his tears – " i love you too "
perhaps it didn’t hurt to lose control every once and a while.

Taking you to bed
30 Day Writing Challenge 8. Taking you to bed Cesar Azpilicueta Word Count: 323 "Baby where are you?" Cesar shouted once you had put the children to bed. "Hi" you shouted as you walked downstairs, yawning away.
"Someone is sleepy" he laughs. "I am a little, the kids wanted to read them a longer book. I think they were trying their hardest to not go to sleep which is pretty cheeky of them" you laughed as you walked into the kitchen and made yourself a cup of tea. "I imagine they would be like that, they can never be bothered to sleep" Cesar smiles as he joins you making a cup of tea. "Yeah they were being so cheeky, bless them. Right now what shall we do for the rest of the evening?" you smiled. Sitting onto the sofa with Cesar as you snuggled up together. "I feel like this day has gone by so quickly, I had so much to do on my list yet I haven't done a single thing" you sighed as Cesar pressed a small kiss onto your temple as you pulled him closer. "It doesn't matter amor, there is always tomorrow that you can achieve stuff. Some days we can't always do what we want" you smiled as you knew he was right because he was always right. "You have such a way with words, always telling me the right things" you grabbed his hand and intertwined your fingers into his. "Aww you're sweet, you look tired. Would you like an early night?" Cesar asked you as you looked at the time on your watch. As it showed that it was 10:30, you were tired and there was no point fighting sleep anymore. "Yes please" you smiled as he picked you up and took you upstairs. "Oh my god" you laughed as he put you on his shoulder. "Got you up there quicker didn't it" Cesar smirked. "We did" you laughed as he put you on the side of the bed.

As Good As The Stories.
Ooh exciting!! Could I please have a teacher one with Azpicueta where he comes to his siblings parents evening and is really shy and flirting awkwardly. With 3rd person (so like she) thank you! 😀
______
to get ahead and read content that won’t be coming to tumblr, there’s Patreon, starting at $1 per month.
______
César had been called to take his nephew’s parents evening as his brother was running late and though it was last minute when he’d taken the call, he’d made sure he was on time, albeit cutting it incredibly fine. Almost every red light that could change as he drove towards it did. Anyone who could press the button to cross the road, did. Trying to find a parking space was harder than usual and he found himself circling around the school carpark until a spot became available.
“I’m sorry,” he says hurriedly, pulling the chair opposite her out when their name is called. “We were stuck in traffic and it feels as though we’ve just got here in time and I’m rambling,” he laughs nervously to himself as he finally makes eye contact with her. if he was feeling before meeting her at the thought of handling the parents evening with no real idea of what he’s supposed to be asking or listening for to be concerned about, he was now after looking at her.
Dressed in smart casual with natural looking make up, she captures his attention immediately. She has notes in the folders before her, sticky notes to access certain areas of each child’s work quickly. She works in a smart way, colour co-ordinated for certain topics, even beside her is a pencil case. He likes that attention to detail.
The classroom is a good size, the walls filled with brightly coloured display boards lined with decoration and the children’s work. Kindness quotes are there in big bold letters, trying to encourage them from a young age to be so; something that world needs a little more of right now. Small units are filled with the children’s trays, each with a strip that the child themselves have designed with their name on it.
She grins at him before telling him it’s ok, these things happen. “You’re here now though, so that’s something. And you’re his uncle, right?” She double checks.
“Yes, I am.” He nods, feeling bad for staring but she’s beautiful.
“We were warned by his father that he might be running late and that his uncle should be taking his place. Otherwise they’d call back to cancel.” She gives a nervous smile and opens up her folder. “He’s a great kid. Very intuitive and has a knack for working out hard problems. It’s fun trying to come up with something that he can’t crack.”
“But I always do.” His nephew proudly announces, sitting back in his chair and looks smug.
“That you do.” She beams at him, “he’s incredibly helpful. A lot of the design work for the boards were his idea. He’s also very tidy and encourages others to do the same.” César wants to add that he doesn’t at home, so this is brand new information for him, but he doesn’t want to embarrass him in front of his teacher. Instead, the two of them exchange a look and his nephew pretends he hasn’t seen.
“Sounds like you’re a star pupil.” He comments, looking down at the young family member.
“Sounds like you’ll have to get me that toy you promised.” A smirk is thrown César’s way and he resists making a face.
“I wouldn’t be too quick,” she points out, raising her eyebrow in what César could only describe as “the mom” look. “You are quite chatty and can distract others. He has a strong competitive side when it comes to sports, but I can’t imagine who he gets that from.” Her lips twitch as she tries to hold back a grin and he laughs.
“No, no me neither.” He says, his grin spreading up his cheeks as he nervously looks down.
“Overall, his homework is handed in on time, he’s punctual though, he does like a good chat while changing his shoes to indoor ones and taking off his jacket, but he’s good for settling down once told.” She says once the little boy has wandered off to look around the classroom, clearly a little bored.
“I’m glad he’s doing well,” César comments, hoping he can try and remember these comments.
“I already took the liberty of making a copy of everything in a small report,” she tells him, seeing the look on his face and removes it from the folder in front of her. “I thought having something official would make it a little better so that it can be taken home.”
“You’re amazing,” he says as he looks over it before realising what he said. “I didn’t…I mean-” he cuts himself off with a nervous cough and kicks himself.
“No, you’re right, I am.” She tries a little humour and though he can feel his cheeks begin to warm, no doubt colouring as a result, he agrees with her.
“He’s happy in your class. He comes home with a lot of stories and says good things about you. It says a lot. I have to be honest, I was happy to be asked to come here tonight. Meet the woman he adores.” He says before realising how he sounds. “I have to stop putting my foot in it.”
She chuckles as she holds her hands up, “I’ll accept the compliment. Hopefully the reality is as good as the stories?” She asks, showing a hint of nervousness herself.
“More than.” He nods, meeting her eye and seeing the relief flicker across her face.
“I’m happy to hear. He talks about you a lot too. In a strange way, I’m happy his parents couldn’t come this evening. I’ve enjoyed meeting you.”
“Maybe they can be late more often.” He offers, pleased that she’s returning the same interested vibes that he’s sending out.
“I look forward to our next meeting already.”

A Family Affair | Euro 2020 Football Fanfiction - BONUS MOMENTS
Surprise!!! I'm back with a select few bonus #bamelia moments!! I just couldn't let the love story of Ben and Amelia die, I hope you don't mind. Love Always, Steph xx
PSA: To all new readers, you don't have to read the series (link below) to understand this, however it would help so that you can understand the preconceived emotions behind the chapter!
Champions Again | di nuovo campioni
warnings; none word count; 1865 writing tools; third person until dashed line, first person thereafter. link to fic masterlist here
They had done it, again. The Chelsea boys were lifting their second team trophy for the year, they had just won the Supercup. This was Amelia’s first competition final with the Premier League giants and if she had her way, this wouldn't be last. She was beginning to get addicted to the feeling of winning, of proving to every little girl out there and every sexist male she had ever come across, that anything boys can do, girls can do better. She was letting her results speak for themselves, she was making history and there was nothing that could bring her down from the ninth cloud she was currently riding.
As proud as she was over her own achievements, she was equally as proud of her friends. Whilst she wasn’t part of their Champions League victory, she knew that this moment was just as special to the team that just loved to win. The scenes before her were ones she hoped she would never forget - the look on Jorgi’s face as he lifted his third trophy of the last few months, the crinkles beside Mason’s eyes as he grinned at the camera that was desperate to capture every moment of the evening, the tinge of pink on the apples of Ben’s cheeks as he stood with his hands on his hips while he watched Amelia give her first post-match tactical analysis to the Sky Sports reporter - proud that she was his girl. These were the moments that made Amelia forget all of the hard times, or rather made her realise that all of the hard times were worth it to see her friends, her team, her man smile.
With every great victory comes an even greater after party, and even though the Super Cup final coincided with the start of the season, the boys still believed that they deserved an afterparty to celebrate. Captain Cesar Azpilicueta had kindly offered the grounds of his Surrey home to host the bunch of rowdy boys, and their onslaught on mates and partners on the Sunday afternoon between the Super Cup final and the first match of the Premier League 21/22 season. Whilst they were under strict instruction from the higher powers of Chelsea Football Club (namely; Thomas Tuchel) to keep the drinking to a minimum and to keep themselves out of trouble, the boys were allowed to be boys for one more night.

“Benj, what are you wearing? I don’t know if I should wear a sundress or denim shorts! Please, I need help!” I shouted out to Ben who was currently somewhere in his large house.
“Why would my outfit be able to help you with that decision” I could hear his voice getting closer, his footsteps getting louder as he began to ascend the stairs up to the main bedroom that I had slowly started to take over in the last couple months.
“An opinion is all I’m after - stop being cheeky mate” I shoot back at him as I begin to stand up from my place in front of his wardrobe. It was still his wardrobe, he hadn’t asked me to move in yet so it was still technically his even if it was half full with my clothes. As I got to my feet, I turned to see him leaning in the doorway with his arms and ankles crossed over each other. Wearing a tee shirt and some denim shorts himself with a cap covering his ungelled hair - a request from me because it was much easier for me to run my hands through if it wasn’t laden with gel...and because it gave me an excuse to push it out of his face whenever I felt like it (which was often).
“I wouldn’t mind if you stayed in that outfit to be fair, however, that would also mean we would be skipping this afterparty altogether and be spending the afternoon celebrating in an entirely different manner” He states staring at me while I’m currently standing with my hands on my hips, staring at the shorts and tank top combo I have laid out on his bed - again, his bed not ours - he hasn’t asked me to move in yet so it was technically his even if it did have the new bed sheets I purchased a couple weeks back with the matching throw cushions on it. The barely-there outfit that I was currently sporting and that had him licking his lips as he pushed himself off of the doorway to walk to me and wrap his arms around my body from behind was a bralette and a pair of his Chelsea shorts.
“Ok sorted, you’re in denim shorts so I’m going to wear mine too. Done ok move get off me I need to change or we’re going to be late” I exclaimed as I pushed him off me with my hips. A bad move? Absolutely not. I got to feel all of him against me and remind him of what he gets to come home to every evening, if he choses.
“Wow what's the rush now Mils? Why are you walking around like you’ve got ants in your pants?” He questioned as he tightened his grip on me and turned me so I was facing him, looking up into his curious baby blues.
“And don’t say nothing, I’ve picked up on all of your tells already” He further questioned as he could see the wheels begin to turn behind my eyes, desperate to come up with an excuse to mask my jitters so I wouldn’t have to tell him the truth.
“I regret ever letting you become friends with Fede, he’s spilling all of my secrets...Ok fine. I’m nervous to see Jack. I haven’t seen him since...ya’know and I haven't spoken to him since I gave him a telling off before international break and Ben I promise you I haven't thought about him once but I’m still worried that there's unresolved anger there from him and I don’t want to get into it again just when we’re getting back into the groove of us and it’ll impact your friendsh-” my rambling was cut off by his lips, which were simultaneously reminding me to breathe between my words and leaving me breathless at the same time. He always did have a way with his lips, the power they held over me was unmatched by anything.
“Calm down love, I promise it’ll be okay. Jack and I have had it out already, a long chat on international duties which may have only been prompted because Mase and Dec locked us in the kit room after our first session, sorted it all out.” Ben reassured me as he began to rub his thumbs over my cheeks and his hands held both sides of my face.
“I do know he wants to apologise to you though - so don’t be surprised if he tries to do that early on in the evening. You know just how awkward he can be so he’ll probably spring it on you before you’ve even put your bag down.”
“Oh great, I’m gonna need to do a couple shots before we leave the house - you’re good to drive right?” I said as I walked from his grasp and down the stairs to grab the bottle of vodka for some good old fashioned dutch courage.
______________________________________________________________
Ben was right about Jack, he had approached the couple only moments after they had arrived at Azpi’s house. Amelia had spotted him making his way towards them so she began to walk in a different direction to Ben, stretching their interlocked hands and letting him go as she mumbled something about needing to put her bag down. Ben really knew both of them too well. Jack gave Ben a hug hello, still in the grovelling stage of repairing their friendship.
“Hey bro, how’s it goin?” Jack spoke as he pulled away from Ben.
“Yeah bro all’s good with me, how are you? Congrats on the move again, million dollar geez you are, aren’t ya? Don’t forget me when you're mingling with Messi in a couple years” Ben joked back with the boy who has been literally a brother to him for the last few years.
“Ahhh you’re jokin me, could never forget a brother could I? We’re basically blood at this point I reckon. Where’d Mils run off ta?” Jack questioned with his arm around Ben’s neck, both of the boys looking out into the garden for the girl in question.
“Right here super Jack” Amelia spoke from behind them. During their brief discussion, Amelia had put her bag down and ran inside to grab herself a drink before walking out to face the music of Jack’s apology. Overhearing how lighthearted he was with Ben, coupled with the reassurance that Ben had provided her earlier in the evening plus the two or three vodka shots she had downed in their kitchen before coming to the afterparty had meant that she left her worries at the door.
“Mils, darlin', you already know what's coming but I truly am sorry...to both of ya ya’know. Benny, we’ve already had it out and it took me ages to get over that black eye but please believe me when I tell ya I am so sorry for treating you that way Amelia. From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry and I regret nothing more than how I made you feel.” Jack could feel himself getting teary whilst thinking about how he made the girl feel, how he made his best mate and chosen brother feel, how he really put a spanner in the works of their blossoming relationship.
“Jack, I’m not going to say it was ok because it wasn't. But it wasn’t just your fault, I also played a part in it that has me cursing myself every day for ruining things with Benj. I forgive you, Jacky.” Amelia spoke while reaching up and wrapping her arms around Jack’s neck to give him one of her signature squeezy hugs, to truly convey that she was moving on from their tumultuous past and hoped that he could stop beating himself up over it and do the same.
Jack had left the couple to return to the table and grab himself a refill of his drink. Ben’s arm had found its natural position around Amelia’s shoulders as they both stood there looking out at their friends. However, Ben was looking down at Amelia. Without missing a beat and keeping her eyes focused out on the yard, Amelia spoke only loud enough for Ben to hear.
“So, you gave Jack a black eye over me huh? That’s hot”
Amelia took a few steps forward before turning to look at the expression on Ben’s face as she continued to walk away from him, backwards. The slight shock turned into a full on smirk as he walked towards her eager to close the gap between them with a kiss. He knew she loved him with her whole heart, but he hoped that she would understand just how much he loved her right back.

Chelsea 3 Arsenal 2 - 18 August 2018
Always a fixture to look forward to, new boss Maurizio Sarri’s first PL game at home and against one of our London rivals too.
Also, of course, the fans’ first visit to Stamford Bridge of the season and for me personally, my first visit to my new seat in the Shed Upper. And it was from there that a fan inspired and funded banner was displayed celebrating 15 years of Roman Abramovich’s reign as Chelsea owner. Fifteen trophies in that time too!
With the same lineup that started against Huddersfield we set about our business and, frankly, we were all over them. So good to see. The first goal came from Pedro after Marcos Alonso had put him into space with only Petr Cech in goal to beat.
After 20 minutes we were two up, Alvaro Morata showing some skill to skip round the defender after taking the pass from Cesar Azpilicueta. We were in dreamland!
But there were danger signs, Arsenal had slipped through our defence and seen two shots on goal fly over the crossbar. Nervous times as one, then a second equalising goal hit the back of our net. All square at half time.
But thankfully, our heads didn’t drop as both sides looked for that winning goal. We made some changes; Eden Hazard came on for Willian and new loan signing Mateo Kovacic came on for the solid Ross Barkley. Eden was Eden and Mateo was very impressive on his first start, confident and assured in his passing. Our final change came on 75 minutes when Olivier Giroud replaced Alvaro Morata.
Both sides were creating chances but with just 10 minutes to play the ever influential Eden Hazard twinkle toed his way with the ball into the box, laid it on for Marcos Alonso who slid the ball past Petr Cech from close range.
Scenes at the Matthew Harding end of the ground as fans and team alike celebrated Alonso’s cheeky winner.
A solid start to the season with two wins out of two, let’s hope it continues with our trip to Newcastle at the weekend.

Chelsea Win First Club World Cup Title
Roman Abramovich's men beat Palmeiras 2-1 in Abu Dhabi thanks to a Kai Havertz winner in extra time
Chelsea completed their trophy cabinet under Roman Abramovich's ownership by beating Palmeiras in extra time in the Club World Cup final on Saturday.
Following a cagey first half in Abu Dhabi, Romelu Lukaku broke the deadlock on 55 minutes with a header from a Callum Hudson-Odoi cross.
Nine minutes later, however, the Brazilians won a penalty when Thiago Silva handled while going up for the ball to make a clearance, and Raphael Veiga converted the resulting spot kick.
As neither side could find a winner in the second half, the tie went to extra time where Chelsea were also given a chance to score from 12 yards out.
This came as a result of Luan mimicking Silva by also blocking with his hand, and Kai Havertz made no mistake when he sent Weverton the wrong way as Abramovich clapped in celebration high up in the stands with the score now 2-1.

After netting the sole goal in the Champions League final against Manchester City in Porto last May, Havertz was once again the hero and Chelsea now boast the final piece of silverware that had eluded them until now.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel returned to the dugout after missing the midweek semifinal against Al-Hilal due to Covid. In a tense first half with moments of brilliance but no end product, he had to hook injured midfielder Mason Mount for Christian Pulisic around the half-hour mark.
Just before that, Dudu had Palmeiras' best chance when trying to test Edouard Mendy from distance with a long-range shot. Better passing across the channels and more accurate shooting might have seen the Sao Paulo outfit enjoy success in launching counter attacks, as they soaked up pressure and advanced well while roared on by their passionate fans.
Approaching half time, Champions League holders Chelsea finished the stronger of the two teams with Silva fancying his chances from 30 yards out yet hitting wide. Early in the second half, they finally got it right when Hudson-Odoi knocked over a delightful ball from the left wing for Romelu Lukaku to head home and make it 1-0.
Palmeiras weren't down and out, though, with VAR ruling that Silva handballed when going up to head an incoming cross out of the box which resulted in a penalty.
Taking his time after the whistle had been blown, Raphael Veiga equalized by drilling his effort into the bottom left corner past Mendy to set up a thrilling final half hour.

This contained opportunities for each side, with Palmeiras again fancying their chances on the break as Chelsea threaded together slick passing moves that Havertz and Pulisic couldn't grant the finishes they deserved.
With a quarter of an hour to spare, both sides made double substitutions with Tuchel introducing Saul Niguez and Timo Werner at the expense of Hudson-Odoi and Lukaku. But as nobody could find a winner, the tie went to extra time.
It was there that Havertz was the man of the hour, with Luan's misery compounded by being red-carded in the closing minutes, and the German later described the feeling of winning as "amazing".
"After [becoming] champions of Europe, we are now champions of the world. It sounds better," Havertz said to Channel 4 in the UK.
"I was nervous [taking the penalty], I have to be honest. It's a big penalty. It's just crazy. It was good I kept the nerves. I am very happy.
"I was the third penalty taker but I was the only one left on the pitch," Havertz pointed out.
"My teammates gave me trust. I dreamed always as a kid [about] this. This is an amazing feeling for me," the youngster finished.
"It never stops. We want to keep on winning trophies," declared Havertz's compatriot coach Tuchel, as Chelsea uploaded a celebratory post to social media with the caption "We've won it all".

"In the end if you score late you need luck to do it but we were relentless and we did not stop trying. We did not give in. We had the lead then lost it but never stopped. It was deserved but [it's] also lucky when you score late," Tuchel went on.
"The penalty does not look nervous [from Havertz] but for sure he was. You can't not be nervous in this situation. We trusted the statistics and I'm happy for him."
Asked how it felt to make history with Chelsea and complete their trophy cabinet, Tuchel said: "I'm a part of it and I'm happy to have the chance. We said before in the dressing room 'what an opportunity'.
"We all dream to have finals like this. There are no regrets. There are still things to win and it never stops," he concluded.
With Chelsea set to face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final in just over a fortnight, Tuchel has a point. Before then, there is also a Champions League last 16 double date with Lille to negotiate while going all the way again in Europe's premier cup competition for the second successive time would have them back in Abu Dhabi a year from now to try and become world rulers once more.

( he was the only reason i even followed spain in the 2022 wc, daddy vibes all around for my boy )
It's rare that you find a footballer keeping their head out of trouble, following or during their career - for César, he knew exactly what he wanted out of life, it'd been staring at him while he honed in his craft, from rising up the ranks in his boyhood club Osasuna, to thriving in Marseille to succeeding to great heights in Chelsea to finally closing both his national and club chapter in his hometown of Spain, retiring at the age of thirty five, following Atletico's impressive run in the 23/24 La Liga season.
Following his retirement, he had his mind set up on developing a centre specialized in granting young players more opportunities as well as backing to pursue a career in football, while also providing the necessities needed to ensure they're kept safe of any unnecessary distractions, and while he was part of several ventures such as his Esports team, his minor share as well as position as a board member of a minor team by the name of Hashtag United in the
Following his retirement, he had his mind set up on developing a centre specialized in granting young players more opportunities as well as backing to pursue a career in football, while also providing the necessities needed to ensure they're kept safe of any unnecessary distractions, and while he was part of several ventures such as his Esports team, his minor share as well as position as a board member of a minor team by the name of Hashtag United in the Isthmian League, this venture mattered the most to him seeing as several young players hardly make it to professional leagues.
The only issue was, he'd been entirely clueless on where to begin, sure he'd received an MBA and was well equipped, yet this was far beyond his expertise, and after asking around - he'd been lead to her, a successful business consultant that had been the key to several ventures in Spain succeeding to great heights, she was detached, a headstrong woman that knew exactly what she wanted and how she'd get it, hence why after several failed attempts to reach her, he was finally linked in, leading to their very first encounter.
Her methods were definitely unique, as well as the way she carried herself - she eyed out every possibility there is before devising the perfect plan for him, aiding him in advertisements, the proper methods to set in order for young players to be drawn to his venture as well as methodically using the budget he had set out.
During their encounters, he would silently observe her, often times being so distracted that he'd stumble over his words whenever she caught him, she'd been oblivious to his attraction while he couldn't believe that a woman like her even existed.
He never had the best of luck when it came to relationships as every woman he encountered, either desired fame, his money or merely the exposure of being with a football player which admittedly caused him to refrain from relationships for the final duration of his time in Chelsea up until his final days in Atletico, and now here he was ... completely infatuated by a woman that perhaps wouldn't think twice about settling with someone like him.
On one night, while they were in her office going over the latest growth chart of the centre, she is visibly beaming with pride over the statistics. " The social media exposure is growing expedentially quick every two weeks " She states, her tone dripping with pride. " Using the appropriate language has raised your engagement from forty eight per cent to seventy eight per cent, and it keeps on growing "
" That's a good thing, right? " He wonders, attempting to focus on the screen in front of him.
" It's not just good César, it's incredible " She exclaims, " You have passionate teenagers seeking opportunities finding a beacon of hope in the message you and your staff stand for, and I mean, look at the budget, you didn't overspend while also being able to provide these aspiring souls with the top technology and facilities to help them a step further towards their dream, if you ask me, what you're doing this past year is better than what these greedy board members and higher ups have been doing their entire lives, effectively killing the football sport with their need for money "
Her words worked to sent his heart rate to the roof, he could feel his heart thudding against his ribcage, he manages to force a smile across his lips. " I really appreciate it, I mean I don't think I could have survived without your help "
For the first time since they started working, her lips curl into a smile, an authentic smile which once again had led his heart rate beating ever so rapidly, " You're an honorable man César, I mean I have never met a football player who had managed to pursue and further educate himself beyond the pitch " she states with a soft tone, " And trust me, I met plenty "
Her words manage to incite a confused expression across his features, " You did? "
She nods, humming in response. " I've had less than stellar run ins with cocky football players that didn't know left from right, they came expecting me to do all the hard work, while they smiled at the cameras, took all the credit and would go on to say, that they have built their business from the ground up, all the while I have to sit back, play nice and pretend that all is well "
He shakes his head, breathing out a soft sigh, she wasn't lying and he knew it - he'd had the misfortune of playing with as well as going up against very awful humans, " Well I appreciate your hard work, cariña because you are a valuable reason that the centre had succeeded the way it did " Her eyes widened, cheeks flaming with a rosé tint at the usage of the nickname, which in turn caused him to blush and chuckle nervously, " I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable "
" No " She shakes her head, smiling at him. " It's fine, I don't mind, I was just surprised "
He nods, shyly looking away before he said. " How did you go about entering the business industry, if you don't mind me asking? "
She grows silent for a moment then she replied, " My mother, she -erm- " she paused, taking a moment to collect herself before she continued. " She raised me all on her own, my father had passed away in a car accident before I was born, she had me while she was in the midst of managing her own small business, she owned a jewelry brand that she started all on her own, and as I grew up, she'd become my role model, the way she gave her one hundred per cent to the brand, the love she had was showcased in every piece that every person who bought said that they firmly believed that these pieces were akin to a lucky charm, and when I asked her, she said that my father had dubbed her his lucky charm, and in turn, she wants to spread the love that he had given her to people that need it "
" That's very sweet and noble of her " He states, his tone sympathetic as he continued. " I bet she's proud of you "
" She was ... " She states, a sad smile across her lips. " Just before my graduation, a week actually " she fiddles with the bracelet on her left wrist. " She passed away peacefully in her sleep because of breast cancer "
He looks down then looks back at her, " I'm so sorry cariña " he wanted to reach out, to wrap an arm around her shoulder yet he held himself back, afraid of disrupting her space. " I'm sure she's looking down with pride over your achievements "
" I would like to hope so " She murmurs softly, before composing herself. " I think we have one last meeting before finally declaring that every is well, I mean I will still visit every now and then to check with you, but the way I see it, my work is done "
The notion of no longer spending time with her had admittedly left him slightly shattered, " Oh? " he murmurs.
" Relax " She giggles, the sound was akin to music for his ear. " You'll still see me from time to time "
And since then, she paid him occasional visits, even turning up at academy matches to support the aspiring teenagers he had gathered underneath the umbrella of his training centre, however each time he had believed he could confess his emotions to her, an invisible wall would hold him back so much so that he firmly believed she wouldn't feel the same way, up until ...
He'd been invited to a charity gala designed to raise awareness and help raise funds to combat Leukemia which had affected several children, and as he was present in the venue, he didn't plan nor expected to run into her once again as it had been approximately eight months since they last encountered one another, she had been in the midst of a conversation with a grand investor when their eyes met, her eyes lit up with joy which elicited a smile from him, excusing herself - she walked towards him, surprising him by wrapping her arms around his shoulder, and muttering. " I didn't think I would see you again " before she pulls back to smile at him.
He mirrors her smile, " You know how occupied I had been " he chuckles before adding on, " I was thinking of reaching out but I didn't think you'd be free considering how occupied you are "
She nods in understanding, " I have been keeping up with your centre, I see a lot of players have joined La Liga, it's very impressive "
" It is, I mean, sometimes I still don't believe it " He laughs.
" You should, you're one of a kind César " She nudged him playfully before adding on, " Tell you what, why don't we sit together through the rest of the night " she leans in to whisper, " This is a good cause but these people are fake "
He laughs once again, " You're right "
They spent the rest of the night chatting together, while she was obliviously unaware of what was brewing inside of him, he was on the verge of insanity, not only was she so intelligent, yet tonight as she sat next to him, he couldn't help but admire how effortlessly beautiful she looked, dressed in an elegant crimson silken dress that hugged her like second skin, her hair was curled perfectly to cascade around her soft features that were enhanced by the makeup she wore, his heart was palpitating so rapidly that he was aching just to reach over to kiss her senseless.
As the night came to an end, he offered to drive her back to her hotel despite her insistence that she can go on her own, once they'd gotten to her hotel - they walk in together, heading towards the elevator for a brief ride that was overtaken by an obvious wave of tension between them, they walk out together and head towards her hotel room, upon stopping in front of her door, she turns around to look at him, she opens then closes her mouth quickly.
His gaze travels in the blink of an eye from her eyes down to her lips then back to her eyes before he noted her pupils dilating, " Cariña " he whispers hoarsely, leaning in. " Tell me I'm not the only one feeling this "
Her lips parted, a shaky breath escapes before she shakes her head softly. " No "
His hand rests on her cheek, his thumb caressing the soft skin. " Can I kiss you? " he whispers.
She nods, letting out a soft sigh as his lips press entirely over hers, moving in a harmonious rhythm, it was gentle, showcasing both a concealed longing as well as clear hesitance on his end which had disappeared the moment she rests both her hands on the back of his neck, deepening the kiss and further inciting a grunt from him. " Let's take this inside " she whispers against his lips.
They waltz into her room, she closes the door behind them before they moved further in, just then she turns to him, their lips find one another, this time with an added passion that saw them struggle to remove each other's clothing for a brief bit, once they were entirely bare, he gently lays her on top of the soft mattress while his lips continued to pepper kisses across every inch of her skin, her lips part and soft sounds escape her lips. " Oh my god "
" You're so incredible " He murmurs, pressing kisses in every corner there is. " So intelligent, so unique, so beautiful "
Each praise sent shockwaves directly to her lower abdomen, inciting arousal that seeped through her walls, " Please "
He lowered himself, coming face to face with her swollen and prominently aroused walls, " Oh my ... cariña " he whispers in awe before tentatively darting his tongue to lick a long and leisure stripe to tease her. " So delicious " he groans before latching his lips over her walls.
" Oh " She whimpers, digits threading through his hair whilst he started to tease the inside of her walls with his tongue as well as his thumb that rubbed her clit. " Fuck, just like that ... just like that, Oh my god "
He placed one palm to steady her while he continued to devour her like a starved man that hasn't eaten in what felt like an eternity, she had become a withering mess in a matter of seconds, the sensation setting every nerve ablaze spurring towards a shattering orgasm, a soft whine escapes her lips. " Yes ... yes, don't stop - Fuck " her back arches off the bed, she collapsed as he climbed back up to capture her lips in a gentle kiss.
He then pulls back and smiles, " You taste so addicting cariña "
" You're so good at that " She giggled, pulling him for another kiss,
Suddenly, he stops then pulls back before groaning in frustration, " I don't have a condom on me "
She smiled, then gestured to her bag, " Go look over there "
He raised a brow which caused her to giggle, " I may have expected that tonight will happen, so I had to be safe "
He laughs, then press a soft kiss to her lips. " See what I mean, you're intelligent and beautiful " he fetched the wrapper then climbed back on top of the bed, he rolls the condom over his cock after tearing it open, he teased her slick walls before leisurely thrusting himself entirely inside of her.
He sighs softly, " Oh cariña " he murmurs, resting his forehead on top of hers. " You feel so good wrapped around me like that "
She moans in response, closing the space between them with a gentle kiss, " Please " she pleads.
He stills for a brief moment before leisurely setting a pace, thrusting in and out of her, the skin to skin contact coupled with his lips trailing gentle kisses and bites on her neck created a beautiful sensation of friction that enveloped them like a blanket. " Fuck " she whines, " It's so good, feels so fucking good "
" Yeah? " He cooed in her ear, " You were made for me cariña, you're my girl, all mine " he murmurs.
" Yes " She gasps, wrapping her arms around his shoulder, with one hand trailing to create marking across his back. " Fuck, fuck ... just like that "
His pace grows rapid while his groans deepen, " Oh my ... you're squeezing me, you're squeezing my cock entirely cariña, I don't think I'm going to make it any longer "
" Please " She whines, " Please ... I'm so close "
His thrusts grow sloppy until both of them reach their highs simultaneously, he then collapse next to her, the pair attempting to catch their breaths before he pulls her in for a kiss then murmurs with a soft tone, " You're mine now, I mean it "
She smiled, " I wouldn't have it any other way "

Champions League: Lukaku Lifts Chelsea Past Stubborn Zenit
Romelu Lukaku breathed new live into a generally level Chelsea execution with the main objective to beat Zenit St Petersburg 1-0 and get the Blues’ Champions League guard looking winning so far.

Lukaku never showed up during his first spell at Stamford Bridge however is rapidly compensating for some recent setbacks since getting back to Chelsea for a club-record £97 million ($134 million) last month.
The Belgian striker currently has four objectives in as many games and his ruthless impulses a little ways from time covered up the faults of a baffling showcase from Thomas Tuchel’s men.
Tuchel encouraged his players not to settle for the status quo after their unexpected hurry to become European heroes last season.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
In any case, the magnificence of their triumph over Manchester City in Porto was difficult to disregard as the German, Edouard Mendy, and Jorginho were given honors on the pitch before start off as UEFA mentor, goalkeeper, and player of the year individually.
Chelsea absolutely have the crew profundity to have the option to challenge on all fronts this season and Tuchel rolled out five improvements from the side that beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Chief Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Reece James, Jorginho, and Mason Mount got back to the firing line-up, yet there was still little verve to Chelsea’s assaulting play all through.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
The principal half traveled every which way without the home side in any event, enlisting a shot on track.
Focus back Antonio Rudiger hoped to assume control over issue with a rampaging pursue forward five minutes the break, yet the completion let the German global down as he bursted wide.
Lukaku displayed his blend of speed, force, and accuracy before the objective to score his first Stamford Bridge objective for Chelsea against Villa at the end of the week.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Zenit had kept the 28-year-old calm for almost 70 minutes, yet all he required was one prodding cross from Azpilicueta to get off the imprint in the Champions League for his new club by establishing a header past Stanislav Kritsyuk.
Zenit manager Sergei Semak tossed on the transcending presence of Artem Dzyuba looking for an equalizer and it almost paid off.
Yet, even the six-foot six-inch (1.97 meter) Russian global couldn’t stretch to get a perfect sufficient contact on Sardar Azmoun’s cross a short ways from time and the ball spilled wide.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Tuchel promptly shut up shop with the presentation of Thiago Silva and Chelsea waited for a fourth perfect sheet in six games this season.

Liverpool VS Chelsea LIVE Football Reddit Soccer August 28-08-2021
Two of the Premier League’s five remaining 100 percent records are laid on the line at Anfield and, without going all Whigfield, you have to like the way Chelsea move on a Saturday night. The Blues have won each of the past six games home and away across all competitions in this 5.30pm time slot, scoring 11 times and conceding twice.
Liverpool and the Blues have an identical record so far this season, both having won 3-0 and 2-0 in the opening exchanges, separated in second and third by alphabetical order. But for West Ham’s win, Chelsea would have ended a round of Premier League matches top of the tree for the first time since September 2018.
Chelsea faces Liverpool on Saturday in one of the Premier League’s best early season contests. The two sides enter the match with the same totals for games played, goals scored and same goals conceded—there is literally nothing to differentiate the two thus far. Thomas Tuchel knows that this is a different Liverpool side than the one his team faced at Anfield last season, so who does he give the nod to this time around?
Fresh off winning the UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season award, Edouard Mendy squares off against Alisson, his opposite number, in an unofficial test of sorts. Mendy kept 16 clean sheets last season in the English top flight, only bettered by Manchester City’s Ederson. He averaged an 80 percent save rate across the Premier League and Champions League. Mendy is an excellent shotstopper and is undoubtedly Chelsea’s first choice keeper when fit.
Cesar Azpilicueta was restored to the starting line-up in place of in-form Chelsea youngster, Trevoh Chalobah. Azpilicueta instantly showed why he was brought back in as soon as he was match fit. The Spaniard is still Chelsea’s best 1v1 defender and that’s clear when he plays. He was the outfielder that contributed to the most league clean sheets for the Blues last season (12). Azpilicueta’s leadership and presence, as well as the fluidity with which he plays the right centerback role for Chelsea, are why the skipper is Tuchel’s preferred choice in that spot.
Andreas Christensen seems to have replaced Thiago Silva in the starting XI, which is not that surprising considering the fact that Silva turns 37 in September. Christensen has more than deserved his place in the line-up, as well, sometimes sitting last season just because Silva was fit. He has another chance to show Tuchel that he’s right to drop Silva for him. Christensen played and helped keep a clean sheet against Liverpool under Tuchel the first go around, so hopefully he can do that again.
The Premier League features a high-profile fixture this weekend as Liverpool lock horns with Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday. The two English giants are yet to drop points in the Premier League and will be intent on maintaining their perfect record this weekend.
Liverpool were not at their best last season and struggled to cope with a spate of injuries over the course of their Premier League campaign. The Merseyside outfit eased past Burnley last weekend and will relish facing a more formidable opponent on Saturday.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have shown tremendous improvement under Thomas Tuchel and are potential title contenders this season. The reigning European champions eased past arch-rivals Arsenal in their previous game and will want a similar result against Liverpool.
The £97.5m man's physical presence proved impossible for the Gunners to deal with as he bullied his way through to tap home Reece James's cross in the 15th minute, and James soon went from provider to goalscorer to put the tie to bed with 35 minutes on the clock.
Thomas Tuchel's side may not have made a lot of additions this summer, but the re-signing of Lukaku may have given the Blues the attacking edge that they need to turn into genuine title contenders, although that tag will certainly be put to the test against the 2019-20 champions this weekend.
It has been 11 years since Chelsea last opened a Premier League campaign with three wins and three clean sheets on the trot, but having restricted Arsenal and Crystal Palace to a combined 10 shots earlier this month, Tuchel's resolute defence will aim to replicate such performances against one of the most famed attacks the country has to offer.
Mason Mount scored the only goal as Chelsea prevailed 1-0 at Anfield last term, but that defeat represented only Liverpool's second in 13 league games against Chelsea, who had previously failed to win in five on the Merseyside turf.

Magic Monday
What a day of knockout football. Two games took place today. Both matches went to extra time. Both games involved late equalisers. The drama, the excitement and the many twists and turns in both games made it a great day for the Euros. I am so thankful and grateful that I was able to watch both games.
The 5pm round of 16 match was contested between Spain and Croatia in Copenhagen. Both teams have good players so I was expecting a close game with some good goals. Croatia took the lead in extraordinary fashion as a Pedri back pass resulted in an own goal as the Spanish keeper, Unai Simon failed to control the ball and it ended up going into the goal. Spain were 1-0 down in very strange fashion. They however did not panic. In typical Spanish fashion, they got back into the game and dominated possession. It became clear to see that Croatia’s game plan was to sit back, absorb as much pressure as possible, try to nullify Spanish attacks and hit on the counterattack. Spain piled on the pressure and were able to find an equaliser through Pablo Sarabia’s shot in the box. 1-1. After half time, it didn’t take long for Spain to take the lead. Ferran Torres made a cross into the box for an unmarked Cesar Azpilicueta, who was able to head the ball into the goal. The Chelsea defender scored his first international goal for his country. At 2-1, it did not look likely that Croatia would find a response and get back into the game. Spain scored a third goal after some poor defending from Croatia and it was nice, cool and composed finish from the youngster, Ferran Torres. At 3-1 to Spain, it really did look like game, set and match and you could be forgiven for thinking that Croatia were going to get knocked out.
What happened next, was simply sensational. Croatia started to attack with more confidence. They were able to get one goal back to make it 3-2 after Spain failed to clear the ball in their box and the defenders failed to boot it out, frantically fumbling and allowing Oršić to score from within close range. Spain were rattled. They started to lose their composure and it looked like they were struggling to deal with the waves of attacks from the Croatians. Croatia did not rest on their laurels. They did not stop attacking. They showed determination to find an equaliser. In the 90th minute, a cross was whipped into the box and Pašalić was able to header it past the keeper into the goal to make the score level at 3-3 and force the game into extra time. Hats off to Croatia for taking the game to extra time and showing the belief and resilience to get back into the game and get an equaliser after being 3-1 down in the second half.
Spain were the better team during extra time. Alvaro Morata, who has faced a lot of criticism recently for not being clinical, was able to finish his chance and put Spain 4-3 up. This goal will do wonders to his confidence. The self belief will be back and credit should be given to the Spanish manager, Luis Enrique, for not losing faith in him and for keeping him in the starting 11. Before the Morata goal, Croatia were very close to taking the lead however Kramaric was unable to score from 4 yards out and Simon redeemed himself by making a good save with his left hand.
Dani Olmo was brought on during extra time and he helped to make Spain’s attack stronger. He made a very accurate pass to his teammate, Oyarzabal who was in a really good position. Oyarzabal received the ball and was able to convert. He was able to finish the chance and scored to make it 5-3 to Spain. What a game! Spain have now scored 5 goals in the last two consecutive matches in the Euros and become the first team to achieve this. This is a huge contrast to how they began the tournament, which was a drab 0-0 draw.
France vs Switzerland was one hell of a game. Switzerland took the lead thanks to a Haris Seferović header, assisted by Steven Zuber, who is having a great tournament. France were not at their usual best in the first half and did not really test Yann Sommer that much in all honesty. Switzerland got themselves into a really good situation when they won a penalty for a foul in the box committed by Benjamin Pavard. Ricardo Rodrigues was the man that took the penalty but he was unable to dispatch it as Hugo Lloris made a save. What happened next completely changed the game. France went down the other end and Karim Benzema used an impressive bit of skill to get the ball from a pass from his teammate and put it past the keeper to score an equaliser. Benzema scored again after some beautiful play from France. Paul Pogba was involved in the build up and Antoinne Griezmann chipped the ball over Sommer for Benezema to header into the back of the net. Karim Benzema scored two massive goals for France and it just showed how good a striker he is. It is nice to see him scoring for his national team after a 6 year hiatus. Switzerland had gone from almost being 2-0 up to being 2-1 down within the space of a couple of minutes. To make matters worse, Paul Pogba scored an absolute screamer a few minutes later to put France 3-1 up. It was lovely shot from outside the box that curled into the top corner of the goal. What a peach! Pogba was playing really well during the game and made a lot of fantastic passes. The goal was testament to his talent and ability. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the best midfielders in the world and I really do hope he goes from strength to strength at Manchester United.
Just like that, the game had changed. Did that stop Switzerland? Did that cause them to capitulate completely and did their heads drop? Absolutely not. Switzerland came back and a good Mbabu cross into the box was headed by Seferović into the back of the net again. 3-2. Switzerland kept going and in the 90th minute they found an equaliser. Gavranović scored the equaliser and it was lovely play from the Swiss. Pogba was tackled and dispossessed in midfield, Xhaka played a wonderful ball to Gavranović, who took the ball , avoided Kimpembe’s challenge and was able to stick it in the far corner, beyond Lloris. It was a great goal and I admire how composed he was to be able to score with such a precise shot and a composed finish, under such intense pressure. Straight after, Kingsley Coman almost scored as his shot hit the crossbar. It was end to end football. What a game! Switzerland showed immense determination, fight and resilience to get back in the game after being 3-1 down and were able to claw their way back , make the scores level and force the game into extra time. Switzerland defended really well for the rest of the game. Manuel Akanji was fantastic in the heart of the defence.
The game finally went to penalties. Switzerland won the shootout to progress to the QFs of Euro 2020 after Kylian Mbappe missed his spotkick. What a win for the Swiss. They thoroughly deserved it. It is bitter disappointment for the world champions, France, who get knocked out in the round of 16, however it is ecstasy and jubilation for Switzerland, who will play Spain in the next round.

their opening match against norway for the 2024 euro qualifiers was off to an impressive start, with spain taking the lead with 7 goals - the team suggested a night out to celebrate as they were off from training the next day, he declined the offer to join them in their plans, citing exhaustion which was merely an excuse to cover up the real reason, her.
for the past four years and a half, she’d been a stable constant in his life; their friendship had blossomed unexpectedly a month after her split from his national teammate marco asensio, he’d only ever spoken to her a few times yet here he was, finding solace in her company especially following his own heartache.
the drive to her house didn’t take long, thanks to the empty roads ahead of him, once he had gotten into the familiar street; edging closer to her building, once he stopped his car in front of the building he grabs the white roses bouquet, her favorite box of chocolate and the bottle of wine, he switched off the engine then stepped out of the car, locking it behind him as he walked into her building lounge on towards the elevator.
once he walked into the elevator he sent her a text message that she quickly responded, as soon as the doors opened he stepped out to find her waiting there which caused a flutter to settle inside of his chest, " hola cariña " he said with a gentle tone.
she flings her arms around him, embracing him with all her might which invited a soft smile from him, " missed you " she murmurs before leading him inside.
she takes everything from him while he takes a seat in the living room, " how was your day been cariña? " he asks before hearing a soft sigh escape her lips, causing him to frown. " is everything ok? "
she shakes her head in response, " this day had been the worst … first off - " as she starts to ramble on, he notes how her hands been shaky which prompted him to walk over and into the kitchen, " i swear one of these days i am going to kill them " she grumbles until she felt his hand over his shoulder causing her to look up. " what? "
" cariña " he starts with a gentle tone, " are you ok? "
she gnaws on her bottom lip, standing in utter silence for what felt like an eternity before she shakes her head leisurely, looking down then whispering softly, " no "
he lets out a soft breath, clicking his tongue against his cheek, he leads her to the living room and sits her next to him on her couch, he then asked her with a soft tone, " what’s wrong? "
" i … " she begins, opening her mouth then closing it quickly. " this is embarrassing " she groans, covering her face only for her hand to be removed. " do you promise not to judge me? "
his lips curl into a sympathetic smile, " nothing you’ll ever say to me will be embarrassing cariña "
she chewed on her bottom, still debating on whether or not she should truly speak, her gaze darts down, staring at her hands. " it’s stupid " she murmurs.
he hooks his thumb under her chin to get her to look up at him, " i promise you mi mariposa, nothing you’ll say will be stupid "
" i can’t … " she begins, letting out a soft sigh.
" you can’t what? " he prompts her to continue, his tone still as soft as he can.
" i can’t -erm- … " she begins once again, her eyes flutter shut for a mere second before they opened up to bore into his own. " i can’t reach my … myorgasm " the last words were muttered together causing him to knit his brows in response.
" pardon? i didn’t hear you cariña " he says with a confused expression itched across his features.
" i can’t cum " she blurts out, with flaming cheeks, and quite the ashamed expression. " i can’t seem to cum at all, not even with marco back then "
his eyes widened, a mixture of surprise coupled with a flicker of arousal surged through him, " oh? " he murmurs.
" it’s embarrassing isn’t it? " she chuckles dryly.
he shakes his head, " no, it’s not cariña. it’s not embarrassing at all " he retorts with a soft smile. " as a matter of fact, i think i can change that for you "
she blinks dumbly, confused by what he said, with knitted brows she responds, " huh? "
" cariña " he breathes out the nickname, subconsciously leaning closer. " i can help you feel better " their lips were inches away from one another, his gaze flickers to her lips before returning back to her eyes as he whispers, " so much better "
silence camps over them, their breaths growing rather ponderous - it was right then and there, that she muttered a single word, the word that changed the course of their night, " please "
it was all the affirmation he needed, he places a hand over the back of her neck then tugs her in to close the distance between them, their lips harmoniously moving against one another in a lesiure and tentative pace to test the waters.
suddenly she decides to take the reigns by deepening the kiss inciting a soft groan from him, she uses her hand to push him onto the couch, climbing on top of his lap all the while their kiss deepened further, their tongues colliding in a heated battle of dominance that she happily lost.
he was the first to pull back, to catch his breath. " cariña " he whispers, " if we move through with this, i need to know if you want this, what we have "
her gaze rakes over his face, noting the way he looked at her with pure lust and affection, her lips curl into a sweet smile, " we take it slow "
her words serve to elicit a smile from him, he pulls her back into a gentle and passionate kiss before gripping the hem of her shirt with his two hands, " take it off cariña " he whispers against her lips.
she smiles against his lips, before pulling back to remove her shirt over her head, his gaze lands instantly on her bare breasts, the chill air surrounding them causes her nipples to pepple, with an awe filled tone he whispers hoarsely, " so beautiful "
his lips attach over one of her nipples while his other hand squeezed her other breasts, her head leans back, soft labored breaths escape her parted lips, " oh fuck " – a shiver rolls down her spine the minute his arm wraps around her waist, tightening his hold, while he shifted his attention entirely on her breasts, the sounds escaping her lips spurring shivers to shoot directly below to his cock causing it to harden underneath her.
" césar " she whines, digits threading through his hair while he continued to pepper gentle kisses and bites across her chest. " feels so good "
once he was satisfied with his work, he pulls back and lifts his head up to capture her lips in a passionate kiss before he cautiously and gently teased the hem of her shorts. " are you still sure about this cariña? "
she nods a little too quickly causing a soft chuckle to escape from his lips, he responds with a deep tone. " in that case stand up and show me that delicious pussy "
she complied, standing up to undress herself entirely to his gaze, he pats his lap and she is quick to take her position back, she cradled his face to kiss him deeply while his hands roamed over every inch of her skin, then he leisurely slipped his hand in between her thighs, trailing a singular digit across her slick walls inciting a muffled moan from her, and a groan from his, " you’re drenched cariña "
" all for you " she sighs, pulling away to nuzzle her face in his neck, peppering kisses across the curvature of his neck, " only you " she whispers in his ear.
with his thumb rubbing her clit, he plunges a digit into her walls inciting a gasp from her, she lifts her head up, her eyelids ponderous, half shut as she relished in the sensation, " oh my god " she whimpers.
" cariña " he moans, pumping his digit in a leisurely torturous pace, his lips finding a home on her shoulder, " how come we never did this sooner? jesus, you’re so warm " he grunts.
" we should have " she murmurs, placing both his hands over his shoulders to stable herself while he continued to stimulate her sensitive walls. " fuck, fuck … " she whispers, her eyes tightly shut.
" you like how it feels cariña? think i should add another finger " he murmurs, pressing long and lesiure kisses to her jawline while he pushed another digit inside of her walls, inciting a loud whine. " it’s like it was waiting for me, such a delicious and warm pussy "
" césar, por favor " she moans, nuzzling her face once again in his neck.
he ups the pace, thrusting and curling his digits inside of her pussy walls while his thumb rubbed her clit in a circular motion. " i am here cariña " he whispers with a soothing tone before adding on, " i am here for you, let go for me, cum on my fingers cariña "
the knot in her lower abdomen, the rush she had been chasing for weeks on end enveloped her entirely, a whine erupts from her lips, " oh my god, fuck … fuck, just like that, oh fuck! "
he allows her to collect her breath before he pulled his two digits out of her pussy, coated with her arousal, he licks them clean while their eyes were locked with one another. " so delicious, might even become my favorite meal " he states with a faint smirk.
they walk to her bedroom, he places on top of the mattress, he then resumes with undressing himself before crawling up on the bed on top of her, " i’ve dreamt of this night for a long time " he admits with a deep tone, dipping his head down to kiss her.
" yeah? " she wonders, curious by his admission.
" you’ve always intrigued me cariña " he said, his gaze bore deeply into hers, " i hated marco for having you first, everytime i saw you with him, it killed me "
her eyes softened, with one of her hands caressing his cheek tenderly. " why didn’t you ever tell me this before? " she asks with a soft tone.
" fear cariña " he murmurs, pressing soft kisses across her collarbone, " i was afraid you wouldn’t understand how i felt "
her heart was racing upon hearing his confession, " i don’t know what to say " she whispers.
" you don’t have to say anything " he murmured, pecking her lips for a millisecond before adding on, " just let me make you feel good "
he pulls away, confusing her for a mere moment before she understood what he was looking for, " top drawer .. " she gestures to her night stand.
he reaches over, pulling out a condom wrap, he rolls it over his cock, stroking himself a few times, he crawls back up on the bed, " come on cariña, spread those legs for me " he said with a soft tone, his gaze trails down to her glistening pussy. " most beautiful sight, i don’t think i’ll ever get tired of it "
he teased her pussy with his tip just before leisurely easing himself inside of her entirely - the two of them sharing a unanimous gasp, she moans, her eyes flutter shut, " fuck, so good "
" keep your eyes on me cariña " he whispers hoarsely, wrapping his hand around her throat to force her eyes open, " want you to see break apart as i fuck you senseless "
her breaths grow labored, soft whines escape her lips. " please " she whispers.
" such a good girl, mi dulce bebe " he sighs, nuzzling his face in her neck, one hand had wrapped around tightly around her waist while the other rests against the side of her neck.
" césar, please fuck me " she half whimpers, half moans as he begins to move leisurely in and out of her, " fuck, just like that … " she sighs.
" cariña " he moans in her ear, " you’re taking my cock so well, such a good girl "
" feels so good " she whines, her back slightly arching off the mattress. " so good césar, don’t stop "
" i won’t cariña, i won’t " he murmurs, capturing her lips in a heated kiss. " so good to me, so good to me, i love you so much "
the skin to skin contact coupled with the sounds emitting from the two of them, " i can feel you squeezing me cariña, you’re squeezing my cock so good, you’re going to cum cariña? are you going to cum for me? "
" yes, please " she sighs, gasping before letting out a loud cry. " oh my god, yes, just like that … just like that "
in under an hour, she’d had two orgasms - he peppered her neck with soft kisses just as he chased his own high letting out a low grunt, it took him a mere minute to compose himself before he pulls out, discarding the wrapper before walking into her bathroom to grab two damp cloths, he returned minutes later, cleaning the pair up and helping her to get to the bathroom, afterwards the pair returned to bed, he tugs her into his embrace which prompted her to ask. " so where does this leave us? "
" cariña, i love you " he admits, with pure sincerity. " and if you let me, i can treat you better than he can "
her eyes welled up, as he kissed her forehead then added. " you’re my sweet angel "
" i love you " she pecks his lips.
" i love you too cariña " he murmurs.

ECTOR BELLERIN 온카지노 LEAVES LATE TO WIN A DRAW AGAINST 10 ARSENAL AT CHELSEA.
Two rookie coaches ran around on the touchline and 카지노 사이트 both would feel they were engaged.
in management all their lives after the emotional roller coaster.
While Frank Lampard was seething about Chelsea’s lack of confidence in both ends
Mikel Arteta wondered what the hell to do with Shkodran Mustafi and marveled at Gabriel Martinelli’s fearless look.
It was that kind of night, and it was equally absorbed and insane
and in the end it was hard to know whether to focus on Chelsea’s embarrassment or Arsenal’s.
For Lampard, the reversal was hard to accept, but easy to explain. Chelsea played more than an hour against 10 men, led twice and still dropped more points at home.
They again backed up calls for attacking the original before the transfer window was closed due to a lack of creativity, and paid for their
carelessness when 18-year-old winger Oncasino.
who had a surprisingly direct style, seized Arsenal with a stunning solo goal just an hour after.
Chelsea’s inaccurate qualification run will be three points behind if fifth-ranked Manchester United
of the Champions League qualifying round beat Burnley at home Wednesday
and contains quantitative details they couldn’t stand after Cesar Azipilicueta regained the lead with six minutes remaining. Lampard’s side was too loose and Kepa Arizabala was seen
helpless as Hefer Bellain, who had cut his left foot, saved Arsenal’s point with a shot beyond Chelsea’s goalkeeper.
Arizabala gave up too many soft goals this season, but Arteta deserved to claim Arsenal had a draw in the second half in a show of defiance.
After Mustafi’s disastrous mistake drew
David Lewis’s red card in 26 minutes, his side stood up for the countdown. Granite Shaka temporarily excelled as a center half-center
while Martinelli played Azpilicueta on the left and lost just one of seven games
Arteta rejoiced at the 바카라사이트 of his new team in the land where they had struggled in the past.
At first, David Luiz was the opposite of his old side. When he scored the Champions League equalizer for Paris Saint-Germain in 2015
the Brazilian didn’t pay homage, and he tried to make himself felt in existence from the start
drawing the ire of Chelsea fans when he rushed to the back of Tammy Abraham and pushed the striker back. A wire was drawn.
Although David Lewis’ dismissal was largely due to Mustafi’s indiscretion, Abraham will burst out with his last laugh. There have been signs of progress under Arteta 온카지노블로그
but the fact remains that the Spaniard has inherited a team with many weaknesses.

Tottenham held by Southampton in FA Cup, Chelsea wins - football
Southampton held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday to force a replay, while Chelsea and Leicester both won.Sofiane Boufal scored his first goal of the season in the 87th minute to level for Southampton after Son Heung-min had given Tottenham the lead on a swift counterattack in the 58th off Erik Lamela’s pass. The replay will add to Tottenham’s troublesome fixture congestion as the club fights to climb above sixth in the Premier League and to progress in the Champions League. Tottenham already had to come through a replay to beat Middlesbrough in the previous round of the FA Cup.“It is a result we don’t need, we don’t need to play one more match, but it is better to play than not to play,” Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho said. The replay is likely to be scheduled for Feb. 5, cutting into both teams’ time to recover during the Premier League’s first winter break.Mourinho won his first three games after being appointed Tottenham manager in November, but hasn’t won back-to-back games since then.Chelsea created enough chances for a big win at Hull but only scraped through 2-1.Michy Batshuayi’s opened the scoring with a deflected shot, and Fikayo Tomori made it 2-0 with a header at a free kick. However, Mason Mount, Pedro and Cesar Azpilicueta all failed to convert good chances while Hull goalkeeper George Long managed several impressive saves.Hull forced its way back into the game when Kamil Grosicki’s 78th-minute free kick bounced off the Chelsea wall into the top corner of the goal. Grosicki had another chance to level the score late on, but missed.Leicester clung on to an early lead after Kelechi Iheanacho’s fourth-minute goal to beat second-tier Brentford 1-0.Three touches made Leicester’s goal - Dennis Praet’s perfectly weighted pass through the defense to the right flank, Marc Albrighton’s low cross and Iheanacho’s tap-in.Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers made nine changes to his lineup, including goalkeeper Danny Ward who made a good save to keep out Luka Racic’s volley late on.West Ham became the day’s only Premier League team knocked out by a lower-tier club, losing 1-0 to second-tier leader West Bromwich Albion.Former West Ham coach Slaven Bilic defeated his old club thanks to a goal from Conor Townsend. West Brom successfully defended its lead with 10 men after Semi Ajayi was sent off in the 72nd for collecting two yellow cards.Third-tier Oxford United earned a lucrative replay with Premier League Newcastle United after drawing 0-0, and Grant Hanley and Josip Drmic scored Norwich’s goals in a 2-1 win over Burnley. As Reading and Cardiff drew 1-1, there was a warning over Reading’s public address system about allegedly racist and homophobic chants by Cardiff fans. It wasn’t immediately clear which chants the announcement referred to.After leveling the score for Reading, forward Yakou Meite displayed a message on his vest reading: “I love you, Papa” and became visibly emotional. Meite posted on Instagram on Wednesday saying that his father had died.Sheffield United beat Millwall 2-0 and Portsmouth knocked out Barnsley 4-2.There was a 0-0 draw between Coventry and Birmingham. Coventry was the official home team, though both clubs share the St. Andrews stadium in Birmingham. Read the full article

Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal: Hector Bellerin earns Arsenal point in London derby
New Post has been published on https://thebiafrastar.com/chelsea-2-2-arsenal-hector-bellerin-earns-arsenal-point-in-london-derby/
Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal: Hector Bellerin earns Arsenal point in London derby
Jorginho (right) is the first Chelsea player to score home and away against Arsenal in the same Premier League season since Juan Mata in 2012-13
Arsenal showed the “togetherness and leadership” that Mikel Arteta is demanding as they overcame David Luiz’s red card to twice fight back and share the spoils in an eventful London derby.
Luiz was sent off against his former club for shoving Tammy Abraham in the penalty area as the Chelsea striker looked set to score following a terrible backpass by Shkodran Mustafi when the game was goalless.
Jorginho scored from the resulting spot-kick before 18-year-old Gabriel Martinelli scored a brilliant equaliser after a slip by N’Golo Kante only for Cesar Azpilicueta to restore Chelsea’s lead late on.
Yet 10-man Arsenal capped a spirited display when Hector Bellerin marked his return from injury with a dramatic equaliser from the edge of the penalty area.
“To do that against this kind of opponent in this stadium, I really value,” Gunners boss Arteta told BBC Sport. “The way they have done it, with the spirit they have done it, that’s great.
“I wasn’t here a few weeks ago but what I am demanding every day they are trying their best to do it. The togetherness and leadership they showed today, this is what I wanted to see.
“We are going in the right direction but I think tonight is a special night for everybody.”

‘This is what I want to see’ – Arteta on ‘special’ night for Arsenal
Arsenal remain 10 points off a Champions League spot and, despite this battling performance, they have won just one of their last eight Premier League games. They also face the prospect of finishing outside the top six for the first time since 1994-95.
In addition, Arteta remains without an away win since taking charge in December yet he witnessed a gutsy response from his side, who played better with 10 men than they did with 11.
Luiz, who has given away three penalties in the Premier League this season – more than any other player – was left with little choice after Mustafi’s under-hit pass let in Abraham.
Mustafi made up for his error with a clearance from a Chelsea corner which allowed Martinelli to burst forward and, after Kante’s slip in the centre circle, produce a sublime finish under Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea looked like they had secured a first top-flight double over their London neighbours in four years when Azpilicueta restored their lead in the closing minutes but Arteta’s side were not done.
Having dropped 13 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, they showed a determination that has been missing and, with just their second shot of the game, Bellerin rifled in an equaliser to seal a fourth successive away league draw.
“We showed big character,” Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka, who moved to defence after Luiz’s red card, said.
“A lot of people say we have no character in the team. We showed in this game we have.”
Wasteful Chelsea pay the price

Chelsea do not have killer instinct – Lampard
This result will feel like a defeat for Frank Lampard and his Chelsea players.
Even before Luiz’s dismissal and Jorginho’s goal from the spot, the Blues dominated and should have been ahead after a hesitant start by the Gunners.
Having lost to a 93rd-minute goal at Newcastle on Saturday, Chelsea came flying out of the blocks.
Andreas Christensen headed wide from a corner when the Denmark defender should have done better while Abraham was six yards out when he nodded another early chance straight at Leno.
Callum Hudson-Odoi hit the top of the bar with a looping cross before Chelsea – who forced 17 corners and peppered Arsenal’s goal with 19 shots – eventually took the lead.
Yet Chelsea have managed just three clean sheets in the last 15 league and cup games and their failure to take their chances came back to haunt them.
On a disappointing night for the hosts, Abraham had to be helped off the pitch at full-time after colliding with an advertising board in the closing moments of the game.
Man of the match – Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)
It’s been a frustrating season for Hector Bellerin but the Spaniard marked his return from injury with a goal while wearing the captain’s armband in the absence of suspended forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Red mist – the stats
Arsenal have been shown more Premier League red cards against Chelsea than they have against any other side in the competition (8).
The Gunners have scored four Premier League goals from outside the box against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge – three of these have been netted by full-backs (Nigel Winterburn in 1997, Sylvinho in 2000 and Hector Bellerin in this match).
Bellerin’s goal for Arsenal was his first in the Premier League in 737 days, since netting at Bournemouth in January 2018.
Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta has scored four goals in 29 appearances in all competitions this season – his best return in a single season for the Blues. Indeed, he’d scored just four goals in 109 appearances across the last two campaigns combined.
What’s next?
Both teams are in FA Cup fourth-round action next with Chelsea travelling to Championship Hull City on Saturday (17:30 GMT), while Arsenal are at Bournemouth on Monday (20:00).
