Garlic and the Vampire
Super cute and heartwarming story. Garlic was great protagonist that you immediately start rooting for, and the side characters are all pretty distinct, despite being featured only for a couple of pages.
Favorite Quote: I understand it’s a lot of pressure, but I really think you have what it takes to succeed. You are much braver than you think. You can do this.

Rómeó és Júlia 2004
The absolute chokehold this show had on me in high school is insane. I literally almost tried learning Hungarian because that’s how obsessed I was with this album. Before I found a copy of the cast album online, I was literally ripping short clips of the song off of YouTube just to get my fix. I know there are other versions of the show, but this version is objectively the superior version. It’s literally the name of this account. The songs are so intense and obviously I like some more than others, but it’s just so good.

read my full review of hang the moon by alexandria bellefleur here.
In a delightful follow-up to Written in the Stars, Alexandria Bellefleur delivers another #ownvoices queer rom-com about a hopeless romantic who vows to show his childhood crush that romance isn’t dead by recreating iconic dates from his favorite films…
Brendon Lowell loves love. It’s why he created a dating app to help people find their one true pairing and why he’s convinced “the one” is out there, even if he hasn’t met her yet. Or… has he? When his sister’s best friend turns up in Seattle unexpectedly, Brendon jumps at the chance to hang out with her. He’s crushed on Annie since they were kids, and the stars have finally aligned, putting them in the same city at the same time.
Annie booked a spur-of-the-moment trip to Seattle to spend time with friends before moving across the globe. She’s not looking for love, especially with her best friend’s brother. Annie remembers Brendon as a sweet, dorky kid. Except, the 6-foot-4 man who shows up at her door is a certified Hot Nerd and Annie… wants him? Oh yes.
Getting involved would be a terrible idea—her stay is temporary and he wants forever—but when Brendon learns Annie has given up on dating, he’s determined to prove that romance is real. Taking cues from his favorite rom-coms, Brendon plans to woo her with elaborate dates straight out of Nora Ephron’s playbook. The clock is ticking on Annie’s time in Seattle, and Brendon’s starting to realize romance isn’t just flowers and chocolate. But maybe real love doesn’t need to be as perfect as the movies… as long as you think your partner hung the moon.
my review:
After reading and enjoying Written in the Stars, I was excited to get Brendon and Annie’s story in this book! The premise sounded very cute, and I really liked the cover. Hang the Moon depicts a romance between a hopeless romantic and someone hesitant to fall in love.
All his life, Brendon has been chasing love; he’s even created a successful dating app for people looking for their one true person. Meanwhile, Annie, his sister’s best friend, comes into town on vacation to visit Darcy. When she tells Brendon about her reservations about love, he makes it his personal mission to show her that romance is real.
This book takes place in Seattle, with Brendon playing tour guide and showing Annie around town. It was interesting reading about the places they went to; I always like when a book intertwines a setting into the story!

Period Products
Tampons, pads and panty liners along with their packaging and individual wrapping generate more than 200,000 tonnes of waste per year, and they all contain plastic. Pads are around 90% plastic. The average user throws away an astonishing 125-150kg of tampons, pads and applicators in their lifetime.
Flushing pads and tampons down the toilet causes sewer blockages. Many pads and tampons end up in the sea and washed up on beaches. It has been estimated that 1.5-2billion menstrual items are flushed down Britain’s toilets each year. On average 4.8 pieces of menstrual waste ads found per 100 metres of beach cleaned.
It’s estimated that it will cost over £1,500 for menstrual products over a lifetime so even with the cost of these reusable products being a potential cost worry, in the long run they save the Earth and your pocket.
Options for reusable menstral products:
Menstrual Cups
I don’t personally have any experience with these but I’m aware that these have their own good reviews. Can be worn up to 12 hours. They contain no bleach or harmful substances, they’re reusable, eco friendly and don’t create any waste. Menstrual cups are just as reliable as tampons in the leakage-prevention stakes. You can wear menstrual cups while swimming and every other form of exercise. A menstrual cup should and can last over a decade.
TOTM menstrual cup - £15.99

Organicup menstrual cup - £18.82
Amazon
Made of soft allergy-friendly silicone. It’s 100% free of bleach, glue, perfume, lotion and basically anything that doesn’t belong inside your body. It can contain three times more than pads and tampons meaning people just need to empty it in morning and evening. It can last up to 10 years too.
Kind reusable menstrual cup - £19.95
Boots

Saalt menstrual cup - £24.99
Feelunique.com
It’s the ideal starter cup. You can wear the cup for up to 12 hours. And it has a scheme available to provide period care to women and girls in need with every purchase made.
Ruby Cup menstrual cup - £26
Amazon
Designed to be easy to use, soft and flexible enough to fold easily for insertion then pop open to create a leak-free seal. Plus, Ruby Cup’s ‘Buy One, Give One’ programme means that for every cup you buy, they’ll donate one to someone without access to menstrual care products.
Diva menstrual cup - £28.99
Amazon
Most well known and spoken of. It has different models also.

Thinx BTWN - shethinx.com - £18.28
Designed specifically for younger women. 2 regular tampon absorbency. Styles include shorty, brief and bikini.
Knix - knix.com - $30
Full coverage shorts from knix are meant for comfortable sleeping during your period. 3 tampon absorbency. Styles include dream short, bikini, thong, boy short, cheeky and high rise.

Dear Kate - soma.com - £10-22
Lined with three layers of fabric and are available in two different absorbancies: mini or full. They’re available in a wide range of sizes XS-3X and have a pretty lace trim. Styles include hipster, brief and thong. They’re not ideal for heavy days or overnight use.
Reusable pads
Washable sanitary pads are an easy alternative, they can vary in size and price depending on where you buy them from. They’re generally pressstud closed. They can have a variety of patterns also. Not the best bet for sporting purposes as increased movement can dislodge the pad and cause paranoia -trust me.

The set includes six pads which are suitable for overnight or heavy flow use a one size fits all design. The set comes with a waterproof pouch. They can be washed by hand or in the machine.

2020 Reading Challenge - Bad Blood (And a bonus DNF’d!)
1. The Deal: Arranged Book One - Stella Gray
Duration: 7 hours an 38 minutes
Review: DNF’d it. First few chapters were pretty tedious. The Audible reviews confirmed it wasn’t worth my time.
2. A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston - Robyn Crawford
3. The Player - Claire Contreras
Duration: 8 hours and 37 minutes
Review: Have you ever read (or listened) to a book and immediately after finishing it thought: “Yup. That was a book that was written, and I read it.” and nothing else? If not, meet The Player.
4. Buried Deep - Margot Hunt
5. The Christmas Pact - Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward
6. Shockaholic - Carrie Fisher
Duration: 4 hours and 25 minutes
Review: Carrie Fisher was such a gem, and her second of three memoirs is short, sweet, sassy and classic Carrie. Not as entertaining as Wishful Drinking, but her reflections on death of her father and friend bring a new depth, especially after her own.
7. Lies - Kyle Scott
8. She Said - Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey
Duration: 9 hours and 52 minutes
Review: An in-depth insight into breaking the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, and in turn kick starting the #MeToo movement, She Said provides pivotal behind-the-scenes action on what the journalists had to do to get the story written. However, I felt that the inclusion of the Kavanaugh confirmation, while insightful as well, seemed tacked on. I wish they would have spent more time discussing consequences of the scandal itself and provided other examples of how it effected the culture.
9. The Daring Exploits of a Runaway Heiress - Victoria Alezander
10. Reflected in You - Sylvia Day
11. The Paper Swan - Leylah Attar
12. The Bride Test - Helen Hoang
13. The Princess Diarist - Carrie Fisher
Duration: 5 hours and 10 minutes
Review: Aside from capitalizing on the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and romanticizing a meaningless affair (on his side) that occurred over forty years ago, there really was no point to Fisher’s third (and unfortunately last) memoir. Shame that this was her final written piece.
14. Royally Bad - Nora Flite
15. The Home Front – Audible Original
16. The Sisters – Dervla McTiernan
17. Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Start-Up – John Carreyrou
Duration: 11 hours and 37 minutes
Review: Detailing the spectacular rise and even more spectacular fall of Theranos founder, and certified crazy person, Elizabeth Holmes, Bad Blood dives into the incredibly specific details of how this company began with a heartfelt promise but ended belly up due to her lack of awareness of techniques simply not working. While the story isn’t told as gossip-like as other behind the scenes tales (like Fire and Fury, for instance), Carreyrou does a splendid job of providing so much in-depth information that you’ll find yourself wishing you made a cheat sheet.
18. Filthy Beautiful Lies – Kendall Ryan
19. Wanderlust – Lauren Blakely
20. The Darkwater Bride – Marty Ross
21. Elizabeth II: Life of a Monarch – Ruth Cowen
22. Killer by Nature – Jan Smith
23. Columbine – Dave Cullen
24. The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich – William L. Shirer
25. Unf*ck Yourself – Gary John Bishop
26. The Demon Next Door – Bryan Burrough
27. A Mind of Her Own – Paula McClain
28. Becoming – Michelle Obama
29. How to Win Friends and Influence People – Dale Carnegie
30. A Discovery of Witches – Deborah Harkness
31. Roomies – Christina Lauren
32. Girl, Wash Your Face – Rachel Hollis
33. Have a Nice Day – Billy Crystal and Quinton Peeples
34. Stephen Fry’s Victorian Secrets – Nick Baker and John Woolf
35. In Pieces – Sally Field
36. Hi Bob! – Bob Newhart
37. The Queen: Aretha Franklin – Mikal Gilmore

Changeling: A Review
youtube
Hey remember Twilight, remember when we were all about those fairytale creature boys.
Yeah. They were good times and bad times.
Welcome back to another video game review here on Mummified Games. I'm Tony and today we’re going to be looking at the visual novel Changeling by Steamberry Studio.
Okay so visual novel, it's just a slideshow of narration and conversation. Gameplay isn't there. You just click over and over again and read the story. There isn't much to do in these games. every once in a while an option will come up and you can pick an option to come up and you can pick to say nothing or push the conversation, Just as an example.
So the only thing to talk about with this is the story, music, and the art work.
Let's get the artwork out of the way real quick. And I want to start by saying that art is a subjective thing and our feelings and opinions can differ and that's okay.
The backgrounds in this game look great in my opinion. The art that comes up while the characters are talking looks detailed and well crafted, the scenes are full and have a rich tone to them. Items and locations look real and lived in.
The character art is something different. They’re clearly designed to invoke curtain feelings from some. One might quickly write this off as teenage fantasy drawings. But that's still too reductive and not fair to the artist and the story trying to be told here. Just because every character in this game looks super pretty and has that air of they were made to look this way. Doesn't mean that the art doesn't have value and...
Alright this is clearly trying for something here but it's just not for me ya know.
All the boys have elven features, clean soft skin, wavy hair, and pouty lips, even the dad and that's super weird. Wardrobes fresh off the runway. And after learning more about the story, I'm already seeing where these characters' stories are going.
Let's talk about the story then while we're here and before we go too far talking about the characters and why they might look the way they do.
So the story is told from the first person perspective of Nora, a 17 year old girl who moves back to the town she used to live in when she was younger so her dad could help take care of her Grandpa. A town that her family ran away from 5 years ago. They ran away from the town because of a weird turn of events. So one day Nora went missing, she got lost in the woods, and then 5 days later showed up randomly and walked out of the forest. Her twin brother had run into the woods to go find her but somehow when he found her he lost sight in his right eye.
He claimed that his sister Nora was a monster and that she had attacked him. Okay weird. Even weirder she doesn't remember any of this. She lost all memory while she was lost in the woods. And only got her memories back shortly before she was found again, but after her brother lost sight in his one eye.
Mmmmmm okay, I have my thoughts about what that could be a sign of what really happened.
Oh and the reason they moved away is because everyone was not sure it was a simple case of a lost child and that there might have been other motives at play. Her brother after this is never nice to her again. And treats her like garbage.
And so Nora and her family move back to the town and her parents are worried about her getting lost in the woods again. But Nora is a real nature feely type. She is explained to us the reader as the kind of girl who likes fantasy stories and nature. Notice a fairy ring in their yard and think about times when they would sit in the middle of it and pretend to see fairies flutter around.
After you get the lowdown on the family dynamic, the dads are nice, the mom can be bossy, and the brother is the worst. Then we get to run though all the meet cutes that happen and were introduced to the boys that are all part of this what i'm going to asume will be Harem of boys that are part of her story.
I don't know, I just have a feeling that this is going to be another one of those kinds of Visual Novels.
So Nora, goes to school and says hi to her old friend and an old enemy, meets more boys and as i'm reading things i'm slowly picking up the little cues from the writing.
The literature class is reading A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ah you don't say.
The boy who says he was up all night long, says Nora looks pale and malnourished. Eating some food is good for your blood. HUGE FLAG!
The brother says Nora isn't even his real sister. And the game is literally called CHANGELING. Okay I see where this is going.
Her old friend says she wants Nora to join her after school club.
Oh Does she now!
There aren't a lot of girls in it and having Nora there would make her feel better having more girls.
MMMMMMMM AND I WONDER WHAT TYPE OF CLUB THIS MIGHT BE! What could it be? Sewing? Web Design and admin? You all working on getting AWS certified in this club maybe?
“It's a paranormal research club”
WOWWWWW WHO WOULD'VE GUESSED THAT WAS GOING TO BE THE CASE!
Some of you who have watched my old videos might have noticed that I no longer read the storepage at the start of the video. I stopped reading them in the video about the same time I stopped reading them before going into a game. I feel like I can appreciate the game more if I'm just going in blind. So I had no idea this was going to be a paranormal fantasy thing. Until the story started dropping not so subtle hints about what might be coming up.
The music is fine, nothing crazy notable about the music in the story. The one complaint is that it might be flowing well with the story and then the change back to this other song. I couldn't explain what song it was but the song always starts at what feels like the beginning and it gives this feeling of not getting anywhere in the story.
I still have no sense of an opinion when it comes to visual novels, and if this one is good or not. The last one I played was that terrible one that I don't want to talk about. And right now there is another one that I've got on the back burner that I'm making my way through. I want to give that one a fair shake because it has some people attached to it that I'm fans of their work.
So what if i'm giving favortisum to another game. I want to fully experience it and give it a full run down.
This story, Changeling, I've got nothing going on with it. I'm not attached and I played it for a good 2 hours to get really into the story. But unfortunately the store page says it has 4-6 hours of gameplay per branch of the story... well piss.
I don't know what to say about this one folks. I've got two games to base my opinion of this on. And that's it.
All I can say is that if you like Visual novels and you want to read one that has a fantasy element to it. Then sure, go take a look.
But like I said Visual novels aren’t my cup of tea so I probably wouldn't have played this if it wasn't for the Racial Justice bundle and the huge pile of games that came with it.
If you played this game let me know what you thought of it. Is it a good visual novel? Does the story really pop off after the second day of school? I'm interested to hear what it is that people like about visual novel games.
If you haven't played this game. Is there a Really good Visual Novel out there? Or are there other games that you want me to check out. Let me know in the comments.
IN THE MEANTIME! I'm going to try to not become a creature of the night. It's 3am and I'm going to go hit the hay.
You all do the youtube dance, like sub, bell, comment down below, and tell someone you know about the show.
And as always friends keep digging and we’ll make it out some day
See you in the next one.

Review-Summer in the City
Summer in the City
by Lori Wilde, Priscilla Oliveras and Sarah Skilton
Published by: Kensington
FICTION / ROMANCE / CONTEMPORARY
Release Date: May 25, 2021
REVIEW:
4.5 stars-rounded up to 5 Summer in the City is a great collection of novellas revolving around the experiences of three couples on a hot New York City night. When a blackout occurs, emotional walls fall and possibilities seem limitless. The book starts with Lori Wilde's story, Night at the Museum, where an are exhibit brings together a couple that has been exchanging glances for months. I loved the communication between Victor and Ria, two very self-aware people. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of the Soul Mates Seasons in the City exhibit, and would happily read more stories centered around each painting. 4 stars Next, in Lights Out, Priscilla Olivares delivers a great second-chance romance between a theatre performer and a journalist who's reviews haven't always been kind. I loved what this story had to say about how our past experiences can color our perceptions about our present and future relationships. Of the three novellas in this collection, Lights Out is my favorite. The author has a gift for telling a story that fully engages all of my senses. I loved the nods to the couple's culture, shown in their love of music, food, and shared stories. The sights and sounds of both the theatre and the city came alive for me. Every scene plays out like a movie in my mind, a rare thing for me as a reader. *For fans of Priscilla Olivares' Keys to Love series, there's even a nod to a certain health guru we've come to know and love. 5 stars Mind Games, the final novella in the collection, introduced me to author Sarah Skilton. This novella introduced me to the world of magicians in a fun, approachable way. It's the first time I've ever read a book with a hero with such an "untraditional" job and I honestly want more from this world! The special gifts Nick gave Alison really cemented for me how much he valued her. 4 stars In all, this collection was a really great escape. I have to add that I really love how each story normalized therapy and the importance of mental health/self awareness. (less)

Arrivals & Departures 07 May 1968 Nora Louise Kuzma [Traci Elizabeth Lords]
Traci Elizabeth Lords (born Nora Louise Kuzma) is an American actress, former pornographic actress, singer, and model. Lords got into the adult film industry by using a fake birth certificate to conceal the fact that she was two years under the legal age of 18. Lords starred in adult films and was one of the most sought-after actresses in the adult entertainment industry during her career. When the FBI acted on an anonymous tip that Lords was a minor during her time in the industry, and that pornographers were distributing and selling these de facto illegal images and videotapes, the resulting fallout led to prosecution of those responsible for creating and distributing. In addition, all but the last of her adult films were banned as child pornography.
After her departure from the industry only two days after turning the legal age of 18, Lords enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, where she studied method acting with the intention of becoming a mainstream actress. She made her mainstream screen debut at age 19 in a leading role in the 1988 remake of the 1957 Roger Corman science fiction film Not of This Earth. Lords followed with the role of Wanda Woodward in John Waters's teen comedy, Cry-Baby (1990). Her other acting credits included the television series MacGyver, Married... with Children, Tales from the Crypt, Roseanne, Melrose Place, Profiler, First Wave, Gilmore Girls and Will & Grace. She also appeared in films such as Skinner (1993), Virtuosity (1995), Blade (1998), Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008) and Excision (2012), which earned her a Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Supporting Actress as well as a Fright Meter Award and a CinEuphoria Award.
Lords also pursued music in addition to her film career. After her song "Love Never Dies" was featured on the soundtrack to the film Pet Sematary Two (1992), she was signed to Radioactive Records and subsequently released her debut studio album, 1000 Fires (1995) to generally positive reviews. Despite the poor sales of the album, the lead single "Control" had moderate commercial success. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart and was included on the soundtrack to the film Mortal Kombat (1995), which was eventually certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2003, Lords published her autobiography, Traci Lords: Underneath It All, which received positive reviews from critics and debuted at number 31 on The New York Times Best Seller list. She is currently starring in the comedy series Swedish Dicks on Pop.

Rolling in the Deep Series
I stumbled upon the novella in a fit of sheer luck and fell absolutely in love. Its novel successor was still completely captivating, but lacked some of the bite. Grant (/McGuire) is genuinely such a phenomenal author and wrote these books in such a terrifying way that anyone could develop thalassophobia.
From the very first page, I knew that the ending was going to be horrible, yet I still held out hope that something would change. Despite this being a relatively short novella, the characters all felt complex and real and I genuinely cared about their stories. I also really appreciated Mira Grant including such a diverse set of characters, especially with the disability representation. It really made the story come to life since the world is not solely made of straight, white, non-disabled people. The premise was fascinating and it really felt like watching a behind the scenes of a documentary filming. The Imagine Network was an eerily familiar entity and the science behind the expedition made for such a compelling story. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time; I’m really looking forward to reading more by Grant in the future.
Favorite Quote: Having strong feelings doesn’t actually make you stupid, as it turns out.
This was tremendously horrifying to say the least. This was a story where you could completely swap out the entire cast of characters and I wouldn’t bat an eye, but the story itself was absolutely enthralling. It honestly felt like I was witnessing a new, very real, scientific breakthrough with the amount of detail put into these creatures. There was something about the original novella that kickstarted this book that had completely hooked me that this book failed to do, especially at the beginning, but by the end, you would’ve had to pry the book out of my fingers to get me to stop reading. The lore was incredibly well crafted and Grant’s writing style felt so urgent and earnest. Will I avoid the ocean for the rest of my life because of this? Maybe, but I still really enjoyed this in a deeply disturbed kind of way.
Favorite Quote: She was your sister. She was my sister. She was the world. Of course she died for nothing. If she’d been dying for something, the world would’ve realized it was a stupid something and given her back.
Technically, this is more of a 4.5 overall, but since I loved the novella so much, I felt it only fair to round up. These stories were scary and the style made it feel like I was watching this unfold around me in real time. Definitely a must-read author now and I fully intend on reading through her work under both names.

Goosebumps: Phantom of the Auditorium 2021
It started out strong, but the rest of the album just sounded like the same thing over and over again. While I read the synopsis, I figured out the twist the second the characters name was mentioned. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be for children or not since the cast is pretty familiar to me, but the content was so very juvenile in a frustrating way. Not a fan. 2022 is starting off rough for me this year.

A Year in Review: The Best 25 Episodes of TV of 2017
With more and more new TV series hitting airways (and the Internet), the quality of shows continues to be impressive. Narrowing down a list of just the 10 best episodes of the year is no easy task. Putting together a small list like this feels more like an omission than a gathering of the cream of the crop.
In a diverse and strange year, showings from network comedies, prestige dramas and experimental explosions are all featured here. The following 25 episodes are truly exceptional - with the top three episodes proving to be groundbreaking and game-changing TV - and highlight what a magnificent year it was for TV in 2017.
25. “Yard Sale,” Baskets
24. “Foisted!,” Curb Your Enthusiasm
23. “New York I Love You,” Master of None
22. “The Sea Beneath 14th Street,” Neo Yokio
21. “Graduation,” Better Things
20. “Kill Process,” Mr. Robot
19. “Thanksgiving,” Master of None
18. “The Rickshank Rickdemption,” Rick and Morty
17. “Hero or Hate Crime,” It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
16. “Certified,” The Leftovers
15. “You Mean All This Time We Could Have Been Friends?,” Feud: Bette and Joan
14. “Fun and Merriment,” Big Little Lies
13. “Episode 1,” The Young Pope
12. “Thank You and Goodnight,” The Marvelous Mrs. Masiel
11. “Somebody’s Dead,” Big Little Lies
10. “Got Milk?,” The Last Man on Earth
"The Last Man on Earth" doesn't get the credit it deserves. This apocalyptic comedy may air on network TV but it pushes the boundaries of storytelling in interesting ways; at least compared to "The Walking Dead." "Got Milk?" barely features the show's main cast and instead follows wealthy socialite Pamela Brinton (played by a hilarious Kristen Wiig in what may be her best post-"Bridesmaids" role) during the early days of a viral outbreak, which includes members of the Trump administration dropping like flies. It's a daring episode that gives context to "The Last Man on Earth" as well as a showcase for Wiig's talents. It also has a wild scene with Laura Dern eating dog food. 09. “Family,” The Girlfriend Experience
For its second season, "The Girlfriend Experience" played with format, telling two non-related stories over 14 half-hour episodes. The track set in D.C. follows Erica (Anna Friel), a finance director of a Republican super PAC, and Anna (Louisa Krause), an escort. Over the course of the story, the women form a surprising relationship, but it's with the episode "Family" that their budding romance explodes with chaotic emotion. The episode takes unexpected turns, exploring power dynamics that are enhanced and heightened with its clinical and icy-cold minimalism. With Lodge Kerrigan's fascinating direction, "Family" marks one of the most chilling and boldest episodes of TV this year.
08. “The Goodbye Tour,” Girls
"The Goodbye Tour" may be the penultimate episode to the final season of "Girls" but it functions as the finale with the muted "Latch" feeling more like a coda to the series. The episode finds its core four Hannah (Lena Dunham), Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) finally appearing together in one scene. Tensions are high and feelings are hurt but perfectionist Marnie is determined to work things out between the foursome with a bathroom meeting. It's an emotional moment, confirming audiences' feelings: The girls are not actually friends anymore; over six seasons they've drifted a part and hurt each other and "The Goodbye Tour" is confirmation of this. Though they may not have animosity, this bittersweet ending, in which they may no longer be friends but can still dance to Robyn, is emotional as it is raw.
07. “And the Winner is…(The Oscars 1963)” Feud: Bette and Joan
In what might be Ryan Murphy's most skillfully directed episode of TV ever (and that's saying something considering he is one of the busiest people in TV), "And the Winner is...(The Oscars 1963)" is a dramatization of one of the most dramatic nights in Oscars history. There's so much at stake for Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon), who has been nominated for Best Actress for "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane," but thanks to dirty politics, Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) crushes her frenemy's dreams and accepts the award on behalf of an absent Anne Bancroft. This high-octane hour of TV also features a long tracking shot of Crawford backstage at the Oscars - one of the most heart-racing moments on TV this year.
06. “The Thief,” Master of None
Aziz Ansari stepped up his game for "Master of None" Season 2. Right off the bat, the first episode "The Thief" proved he wasn't messing around. Unfolding in black and white, (a surprising move for a show that built it's audience as a millennial sitcom) the comedy is a stunning homage to Italian cinema - specifically Vittorio De Sica's "The Bicycle Thieves." For a half-hour comedy, the episode is a sumptuous gift that puts Ansari in another league.
05. “The Book of Nora,” The Leftovers
The series finale of "The Leftovers" was mystical as it was moving. It's also a testament to Carrie Coon, one of TV's best working actors. Delivering a deeply riveting and emotional monologue, Coon's Nora, now much older, tells her long-lost love Kevin (Justin Theroux) about being teleported to her family in another dimension, possibly to a place where the departed vanished. Except - it's unclear if Nora is telling Kevin the truth, making the series finale to one of the best shows - ever - an open ended mystery that we will always let be.
04. “Part 17″ and “Part 18,” Twin Peaks: The Return
Over 25 years ago, "Twin Peaks" fans watched F.B.I. agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) become a prisoner in the Black Lodge as his evil doppelganger take his place in the real world. The Season 2 finale, which aired in 1991, turned out to be the series finale (thanks to a cancelation from ABC) and for over two decades, fans were left to grapple with one of the biggest cliffhangers to ever air. That changed, however, when co-creator/direct/writer/actor David Lynch came back to the world of "Twin Peaks" and got to end the series on his terms. "Part 17" and "Part 18" are a one-two punch of triumph and devastation. After 16 hours of the mindless Dougie Jones (MacLachlan), the real Dale Cooper finally returned in all his wholesome glory, ready to finally save Laura Palmer and defeat the evil BOB. After literally rewriting the past, Lynch pulls the rug out from viewer's expectations with "Part 18," ending "Twin Peaks" on a devastatingly tragic note: "What year is this?"
03. “Michael’s Gambit,” The Good Place
Who knew a major network could still air groundbreaking TV? The Season 1 finale of Michael Schur's existential comedy "The Good Place" is game-changing TV. Without spoiling anything, the episode totally flips the script, reframing what "The Good Place" is actually about and its characters' motivations. With a huge twist that was hiding in plain sight, the comedy became one of the most innovative and interesting shows of 2017, giving the middle finger to cliffhangers and network sitcoms.
02. “Finding Francis,” Nathan For You
"Nathan For You" is an uncomfortable show; one that forces viewers to confront their boundaries of humor. Creator and star Nathan Fielder's Season 4 finale "Finding Francis" is the comedian's boldest and biggest episode ever - a two-hour epic that follows Fielder and Bill Gates impersonator William Heath as they track down Heath's long lost high school sweetheart. To call the finale daring TV would be an understatement - not only does it ask viewers to question the boundaries of love but it also urges them to question reality. It's one of the most captivating things aired on TV in recent memory - so wild and bold that infamous documentarian Errol Morris felt the need to write about the episode for the New Yorker.
01. “Part 8,” Twin Peaks: The Return
There will never be another TV moment like "Part 8" of David Lynch and Mark Frost's masterpiece "Twin Peaks: The Return." It's the kind of TV moment that will have unprecedented reverberations in art for years to come. Profound and truly mind-blowing, "Part 8" transcended the boundaries of what TV can do and make you feel. Visceral, shocking and captivating, "Part 8" told a saga of good vs. evil; how man created evil and brought it into the world and that the battle between good and evil is an ongoing one. Sometimes bewildering and sometimes touching, "Part 8" is unlike anything that has ever aired on TV, coming from one of the greatest American filmmakers alive today.

194: Longevity, Autoimmunity, & Plant-Based Diets With Nora Gedgaudas
I could not be more excited about today’s conversation and today’s guest because I am here with Nora Gedgaudas who is by and large one of the early leaders in the ancestral health and healthy living movement. Her work is brilliant and she is one of the best researchers I know.
Here’s just a short intro to her long list of accomplishments: Nora Gedgaudas is a board-certified nutritional consultant and a board-certified clinical neurofeedback specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience solving the toughest health cases. She’s a world-recognized authority on ketogenic diets, ancestrally based nutrition, and has best-selling books including Primal Body, Primal Mind, Rethinking Fatigue, and her newest book, Primal Fat Burner: Live Longer, Slow Aging, and Super-Power Your Brain and Save Your Life With a High Fat, Low-Carb Paleo Diet. (That’s a mouthful!)
Nora offers a Primalgenic health certification program, one of the best out there, called Primal Restoration. It’s a unique and invaluable source of unique cutting-edge information. If you can’t tell, I really respect her research and I’ll link to as much of it as possible in the resources below.
Let’s get into it!
Episode Highlights With Nora Gedgaudas
how Nora’s health career came out of her personal fight against chronic depression
why she resists the labels “paleo” and “ketogenic” and came up with a new approach
how much protein we really need and why we shouldn’t eat too much
the reason our diet should be high in vegetables by volume and fat by calories
why the vast majority of people with autoimmune disease may never know it
the new metabolic pathway science just discovered and what it could explain about cancer growth
how gluten sensitivity may not be something you can heal (sad)
“oral tolerance” — what it is and how it’s just as important as healing your gut
the surprising reason we actually don’t need dietary carbohydrates
if women can handle a keto diet for the long-term
Nora’s take on longevity (it’s fascinating!)

Episode Quotables From Nora Gedgaudas
“And I’ve grown very weary of trying to fit myself like a square peg into a round hole, into either the so-called paleo thing or the so-called ketogenic thing, there’s a lot going on that I have a really hard time with. So what I’ve done is I’ve kind of decided to sort of set up my own terminology, something that divests itself a little bit of the stigmas and baggage associated with these other highly commercialized terms now, and I referred to it as ‘Primalgenic.’”
“Fat is naturally meant to be our primary source of fuel as a species in the form of free fatty acids and ketones. Glucose instead is meant to serve strictly an auxiliary or secondary role.”
“I believe we’re living in a more hostile environment that anything our prehistoric ancestors could wrap themselves around. But what’s most threatening to us today are those things that are actually invisible to us, and we’re not wired for that.”

This episode is brought to you by Furo Health, where I recently bought a cold therapy tub and I’m absolutely loving it. We saved up and prioritized this for our home because of the many benefits of cold therapy and now we can sit in 42-58 degree water anytime we want to get the benefits. Athletes have been using cold therapy for faster recovery for years, but it has many other benefits as well, including increased circulation and lymphatic flow, immune system boost and increased focus. A 2007 study even found that cold water exposure can help alleviate depression symptoms, and if used on a routine basis, may be more beneficial than prescription medications in lifting moods. The reason is due to the stimulation of the dopaminergic transmission in the mesocorticolimbic and nigrostriatal pathway. In other words, cold water triggers an increase in mood boosting neurotransmitters and you feel happy. Ever jumped into cold water and immediately laughed outloud? That’s part of the reason why. You can check out the tub we bought and use daily at furohealth.com
This podcast is brought to you by Spar, a cool new app I found that lets you gamify behavior change to make you more likely to stick to it and here’s what I mean. You download the app for free and create an account then you can join or create a challenge to help you do anything from going for a walk every day, doing 20 push-ups each day or even reading for a certain amount of time each day. To make it fun, you can challenge friends to join you and you check in each day via video to prove that you did it. If you miss a day of the challenge you get charged a penalty and the winner takes the whole pot so you can actually win some serious cash while getting better at a habit you want to get better at anyway. People are using this from anything from flossing their teeth to reading each day or exercising or going to bed by 10pm. If you want to check it out, just download the Spar app from the App store and jump in.

Synopsis:
On a surveillance assignment for a child custody case, PI-in-training Nora Watts finds herself ensconced in a small farming community on a beautiful hippie island in the Pacific Northwest, a place with a reputation for being welcoming to outsiders. But when she arrives there, she discovers her welcome quickly wears thin. Perhaps too quickly.
Salt Spring Island, with a history as a refuge for African Americans fleeing the bonds of slavery, is not a place of refuge for her—and, she suspects, may not be for the people who live there, either.
As she investigates, nothing about this remote community seems to add up. It gets personal as Nora confronts her own complicated feelings toward her estranged daughter and becomes increasingly concerned about the child she’s been tasked to surveil. She discovers that small, idyllic communities can hide very big secrets.

Read an excerpt:
Last week a man came into our PI office, looked around the shabby interior, frowned, and said, “I must have gotten the address wrong.”
“Depends,” I replied. “What are you looking for?”
“An investigator.”
“Nope, you’re in the right place,” I said, looking at his nice suit, shiny shoes, and expensive watch.
“Are you sure? Maybe I should come back later.”
He was clearly trying to make a graceful exit. Before the man could leave, I got up from behind my desk and opened the door to Leo Krushnik’s office. “Leo, there’s someone here to see you.”
“Well,” said the man, who was hesitating behind me, “I’m not really sure that this is the right fit for me.” He was trying to be diplomatic about the condition of our office and what it might say about his own level of desperation that he was here, but we weren’t about to let a potential client go without a fight. His level of desperation was no match for ours.
Leo Krushnik, the head of our little operation, walked around his desk and beamed at the man. “We’re the right fit for anybody,” he said, grasping the man’s hand and giving it a firm shake. “We prefer to keep our overhead low so that we can offer competitive rates to people who need our services, regardless of their personal incomes. Please, have a seat.”
The man sat, a little overwhelmed by Leo’s charm, which is considerable. That day Leo was dressed in linen pants and a simple cotton shirt, as a nod to the heat wave the city was experiencing. He could pull off this look as easily as he pulled off the lie about our rates. We keep our overhead low because this dump on Hastings Street, in the derelict Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, is all we can afford, but clients didn’t need to know that. And even I could admit that the “competitive rates” line sounded good—even true—coming from Leo.
“How can I help you?” Leo asked.
“My name is Ken Barnes, and I’m concerned about my son, Trevor. My ex-wife Cheyenne moved to Salt Spring last year with Trevor and I think she’s gotten into some kind of trouble there. She won’t bring him back to Vancouver and visitation has been difficult.”
Leo frowned. “Because they’re on an island?” Salt Spring wouldn’t be easy to ferry to and from on a regular basis.
“Yes, but that’s not the only reason. She keeps putting off my visits and it’s been difficult to arrange for Trevor to come into Vancouver. I think . . . I think she’s in some kind of cult, to be honest. They call it a commune, but you know those stories about Bountiful?”
“Yes,” said Leo. Everyone knew the stories about Bountiful, British Columbia, where fundamentalist polygamous communities live and proliferate seemingly freely.
“Well, I think it’s something like that. Cheyenne wants to be in some kind of crazy sex cult, sure. She’s not my wife anymore and I really don’t care what she does. But I’m fighting for custody of Trevor. I want him out of there.”
“And you need some ammo.” Leo looks up from his pad, where he’s been taking notes. “You’ve come to the right place, Ken. We’ve done surveillance work for many child-custody cases.” Another lie, but Ken didn’t notice. We’d only done a handful of those, but “many” is relative. “You understand that this won’t be cheap? We’ll have to get out to the island and spend some time gathering information.”
“That’s fine. There’s nothing I won’t pay to get my son out of there. Cheyenne, she . . . well, she struggled with depression and anxiety for years and she let a lot of toxic people into her life who fed on her struggles. It was like a sick downward spiral. When she started doing yoga and got certified as a teacher, I thought she’d changed. But I’m not sure anymore. I know this sounds terrible—I know it does—but I don’t trust her judgment about the people she lets into her life. Especially men.”
“She married you,” Leo said.
“I know, but this is the thing: it’s not about me and her anymore. We’re done. This is about Trevor—and me doing my part as a father, making sure he’s safe. That he has a good life. I just want results.”
“We can’t guarantee results.” This is the first time I’d spoken since the initial exchange. Ken Barnes’s startled gaze meets mine. He’d clearly forgotten I was there, which was not unusual. “Maybe it is a sex cult, maybe it isn’t. All we can do is take a look and document what we find.”
“I know that nothing is certain, but I know my son deserves a healthy, normal life. Whatever they’re doing on that island is not normal. It just isn’t. It’s one step away from homeschooling, and who’s to say they’re not making him do hard labor?”
What is normal, anyway? I didn’t ask Barnes for clarification. I just kept silent as Leo agreed to take his money in exchange for the work. Before he let Barnes go, he pulled him aside. “Nora’s right, Ken, about any sort of guarantee. But what I can say is that if there’s something to find, chances are we will get a sense of it.”
In the next few days, I started the file on Cheyenne Barnes and looked through the information Ken had provided us. “Cheyenne scrubbed her social-media profiles last year,” he explained to me, over the phone. “I thought she was punishing me by erasing the memories and keeping me away from what’s happening with my son, but now that I think about it, there’s something fishy about this whole thing.” So he kept saying.
Cheyenne is smiling in all the photos, and in every single one there is something wistful about her, a faraway look in her eyes. Something that suggests a romantic nature. She’s an instructor for hot yoga, which I thought was stretching for attractive people but later discovered is actually sweaty stretching. Who knew. She’d gone to Salt Spring Island two years ago to work at a yoga retreat and, according to Ken, never came back. She met a man there, a fellow yoga enthusiast, and rebuffed all of Ken’s attempts at reconciliation. There is very little to be found on Cheyenne Barnes’s new man. He has no social-media profiles of his own, but I did find a picture of him on the Spring Love website. Some people are so attractive it’s almost surreal, and Vikram Sharma is one of them.

Ranking the best CBD oil of 2017 (review)
CBD oil, short for cannabidiol oil, is an extract of the cannabis plant and is known for its pain relief, anti-inflammatory, and anti-anxiety effects.
It’s also one of the hottest (and controversial) health products in the USA.
However, the legality of CBD oil is a little murky in some states, because while manufacturers claim hemp oil is perfectly legal (and indeed, is freely available in stores and online), the DEA has waffled on its legal status.
Bureaucracy notwithstanding, people are still clamoring for CBD oil. Here are the top brands right now:
1. Nutiva Organic Hemp Oil
Click here for the lowest price on Amazon
Nutriva isn’t the best-selling hemp oil product on Amazon by sheer luck. This hemp oil extract is inexpensive, highly pure, and certified organic to boot. That means you don’t have to worry about any pesticides or herbicides making their way through the extraction process and into your supplement.
It comes in a large, opaque bottle, which helps keep the oil from suffering the destructive effects of visible light, but even so, you should still keep it cool. One bottle of Nutiva Organic Hemp Oil will last most users quite a while, and because it’s so cheap, it is a great choice if you have a high daily intake of hemp oil.
2. Just Hemp Foods All Natural Hemp Seed Oil
Click here for the lowest price on Amazon
If there’s another contender for king of the hill when it comes to large-serving hemp oil products, it’s got to be Just Hemp Foods. Their product contains only pure cold pressed and cold filtered hemp seed oil. It’s not organic, but that’s about the only thing you can hold against it.
Though it’s a pretty new product, it’s got rave reviews so far, with users praising it for both supplement and cosmetic uses. The large size and the bottle-based delivery does make it susceptible to deterioration if you leave it sitting for months at a time, so use it up or get a smaller bottle (or softgels)!
3. Manitoba Harvest Hemp Oil
Click here for the lowest price on Amazon
Manitoba Harvest is a heavy hitter in CBD oil products, and for good reason. Its flagship softgels deliver 825 mg of omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, and the only active ingredient is unrefined cold-pressed hemp oil.
Purists will like the fact that it contains little in the way of flavorings or additives, though the caramel powder (added for coloring) does detract from its appeal just a bit.
It’s a non-GMO product and is prepared without any preservatives, though it’s not certified organic like some of the other oils on this list. Considering the attractively low price, Manitoba Harvest is a solid contender across the board.
4. Dr. Adorable Help Seed Oil
Click here for the lowest price on Amazon
Dr. Adorable is a well-loved purveyor of pure, organic hemp seed oil. It’s a solid contender, but it is hurt by the clear glass bottle (which allows light inside, which in turn causes degradation of some of the delicate compounds in cannabis oil extracts) and the moderately higher cost.
It’s also not marketed directly as a food supplement; again, this shouldn’t be a problem if the product is indeed 100% pure, but it never hurts to go with something intended for consumption.
5. Blue World Naturals Cannabis Sativa Hemp Seed Carrier Oil
Click here for the lowest price on Amazon
This product is the right one for those seeking a hyper-pure cannabis derived oil for aromatherapy use or topical application. It’s too spendy to be consumed as a supplement.
While it’s quite expensive per ounce, few other competitors can match the purity claims of Blue World Naturals. The company uses advanced chemical purity analysis on every batch to ensure purity. Because of this, you should store it in the fridge after opening to ensure it retains its purity–some of the compounds in cannabis oil are quite delicate.
6. Sweet Essentials Extra Virgin Unrefined Hemp Seed Oil
Click here for the lowest price on Amazon
Sweet Essentials is another contender in the “big and pure” category. While it’s a solid product, it gets beat out for two reasons. First, while it’s 100% pure and cold-pressed, it’s not USDA certified organic, and it isn’t quite as cost-effective as some of the other products on the market.
Still, make no mistake, it’s a good hemp oil, and people do love it. So don’t think you’re making the wrong call by going with Sweet Essentials’ hemp seed oil.
7. Renewalize Hemp Seed Oil

If you are interested in using hemp seed oil for its cosmetic purposes, you’ll have to check out Renewalize Hemp Seed Oil. It’s organic, cold-pressed, and includes only hemp oil as its sole ingredient.
While there’s no reason you couldn’t use it as a supplement, it’s not labeled as such, so it may not be subject to the same purity testing as a bona fide hemp oil supplement. The bottle is brown amber glass with an eyedropper on top, as is customary for oils like this, but the packaging also includes a facial sponge to underscore the recommended cosmetic use of the hemp seed oil.
8. Absolute Scientific Hemp Oil

Chalk this one up in the highly-pure category. It’s got the hallmarks of products that fit that description: small brown amber glass vial and dropper, lab-certified purity, and pretty spendy.
Unfortunately the actual hemp oil content is pretty low. Absolute scientific Hemp Oil would work okay as an aromatherapy product or a topical treatment for your skin, but look elsewhere for hemp oil to use as a supplement.
9. EndoCanna Care Pure Hemp Extract

The hemp extract made by EndoCanna boasts of its high omega 3, 6, and 9 content, but a typical serving size is only middle of the road when it comes to the fatty acid content.
It’s expensive compared to other products, and while the purity is good, it will get spendy if you are taking the recommended dosage every day (or if you need a high dose for relief of symptoms). As with other bottle-based hemp oil supplements, it’s best if you refrigerate the dropper bottle after you’ve opened it.
10. Restore CALM Hemp Oil Infusion

Though the label highlights the hemp oil content, Restorative Botanicals’ hemp oil is mostly plain old MCT coconut oil. The hemp oil content, per one gram serving, is very small: only 14 mg! It includes natural flavoring to give the flavor and aroma a kick, but the poor hemp oil content is just a deal-breaker.
MCT oil from coconuts is dirt-cheap compared to cannabis extracts, so you can be sure that this product has a pretty high profit margin and a pretty low likelihood to be therapeutically useful.
Part Two: An in-depth look at CBD oil
With the ongoing legal and political battles over marijuana legalization, you’ve heard about a compound called cannabidiol, or CBD.
It’s a cannabinoid, meaning that it’s one of the dozens of bio-active chemicals found in cannabis. The most famous cannabinoid, of course, is THC—it’s this cannabinoid which is responsible for the “high” associated with smoking marijuana. Cannabidiol, on the other hand, does not create a psychoactive high – it’s of interest mostly for medical applications.
Cannabidiol is most easily used in a liquid form. Since it’s not soluble in water, it is dissolved in a vegetable oil (often olive oil) and referred to as CBD oil. Its intriguing biological properties have attracted attention from scientists and medical researchers studying a number of health problems.
In June of 2015, Nora D. Volkow of the National Institute on Drug Abuse gave a presentation to the United States Senate Drug Caucus (1).
The caucus had called a hearing to inquire on the potential medical uses for cannabidiol, which remains difficult or illegal to obtain and use (depending on the oil’s source) in many states. In it, she described the state of the scientific research behind the use of cannabidiol oil for a wide range of health problems.
CBD oil for epilepsy
Some fascinating evidence exists suggesting that CBD oil is effective as an adjunctive treatment in children with epilepsy that was not well-controlled by medication. Volkow cites a number of small studies and clinical reports which found that cannabidiol oil reduced the frequency of seizures. A 2012 review by Gloss and Vickrey at the University of California’s Department of Neurology examined the limited number of studies available to date, noting that there were some promising results, but concluding that the studies were too small and too limited to draw any strong conclusions (2).
There was, however, good evidence that there were no major adverse effects (side effects) from the cannabidiol oil treatment protocols used.
CBD oil’s brain-protecting and cancer-fighting effects
CBD oil also appears to have the ability to reduce inflammation and protect the brain from degenerative damage in diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. So far, the research has been mostly confined to the Petri dish and the microscope. Volkow cites one small study that found some improvement in quality of life in patients with Parkinson’s disease. However, beyond this, no major studies have tested cannabidiol oil as a drug for preventing or slowing the progression of any neurological diseases.
Similarly promising results have been found in cell cultures of cancerous cells. Cannabidiol appears to have anti-tumor properties. Volkow notes that there are a number of clinical trials underway: within a few years, there should be some good research on whether CBD oil can reduce tumor size or slow the progression of cancer.
CBD oil for schizophrenia
Human trials are a little more advanced when it comes to using CBD oil to treat psychological problems. A 2012 study by a team of nine researchers in Germany, Italy, and the United States investigated the effects of cannabidiol on brain activity in patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia (3).
The researchers compared cannabidiol to a common anti-psychotic drug called amisulpride. While both drugs were similarly effective at reducing the severity of symptoms, cannabidiol had far fewer side effects.
Further, analysis of blood samples revealed that patients who received cannabidiol had heightened levels of a particular neurotransmitter, and levels of this neurotransmitter in the blood were strongly and independently related to having fewer symptoms of schizophrenia. This indicates that CBD oil could one day become a reliable treatment for schizophrenia that has fewer side effects and uses a different biological mechanism to treat the problem.
CBD oil for anxiety
The neurological effects of cannabidiol might be useful for treating anxiety, too. A 2011 study in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology examined whether cannabidiol could reduce anxiety and nerves in people with social anxiety disorder who were assigned a simulated public-speaking test (4).
Half the volunteers were given a single dose of CBD, while the other half were given a placebo. All of the study’s subjects were then instructed to prepare and give a short speech about their city.
To increase anxiety, the subjects were told the speech would be videotaped and later analyzed by a psychologist. Compared to the subjects who received the placebo, the subjects who were given cannabidiol had lower levels of self-assessed anxiety, less cognitive impairment, and were more alert. Their overall performance in the speech was nearly as good as that of healthy controls who didn’t have social anxiety disorder!
Safety
So far, cannabidiol appears to be quite safe. A 2011 study published in the journal Current Drug Safety concluded that CBD oil use, even at fairly high doses, does not appear to be associated with any major side effects (5). However, the authors caution that more research is needed, along with studies that follow subjects for longer periods of time.
Could cannabidiol oil become a mainstream treatment?
Volkow’s presentation proposes that many of the positive effects of cannabidiol are the result of its ability to modulate levels of neurotransmitters in the brain. This would explain why it appears to be a potent treatment for such a wide range of maladies.
Despite the fact that much of the research is at a very early stage, CBD oil shows a lot of promise in treating many chronic health conditions, including epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders.
Volkow’s presentation mentions a number of other emerging prospects for the compound, too: cannabidiol may work in concert with THC to reduce pain levels in people with neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer pain; it may also help reduce pain and spasms in multiple sclerosis too.
Takeaway: With marijuana legalization in many states opening the door for more research into medical uses of compounds found in the marijuana plant, including cannabidiol, you’re sure to hear a lot about it in the future. If larger, more carefully-designed studies continue to find the same positive effects of CBD oil, it’s sure to make its way into the medical establishment as a mainstream treatment for a wide range of problems.
