I love how people on education forums are like "these certifications mean nothing!!!1!!" about tests but like as a brown person from a 'third world country' you guys just simply do not understand that we're deemed quite worthless anywhere if we don't have the money and the certification. this isn't something we're able to avoid. at all. and to even get this worthless certification, I had to use 50% of my monthly salary. So while I'm glad that you think these things are worthless, maybe learn to just not say that to people who are not asking. I don't want to know if this test killed your real life friend by throwing questions at it or whatever. I just want to know how to pass this exam so that people who review my application will have one less reason to reject me. sit down if you cannot offer any help. seriously.

okay so i made a decision on my educational future (lol)

at the end of this year 2024, i'm eligible to obtain a certificate in my current career field that would make me SUPER employable if i ever left my job (which, i don't plan on doing, but still). it would also honestly help me be more knowledgable in my current job, and i think i can get my employer to pay for the test + all the training materials which is so fucking rad.

so, first thing's first, gonna study for and obtain this certification.

now, once i get that certificate, i've decided to...apply to grad school. part-time, online, through my alma mater which gives me a 25% off discount on my tuition (yay for small private colleges!) which should see me getting my MFA in like 4 years? and then what i do with that is anybody's fucking guess but it'd be so nice to have a book of essays or just a solid body of work at the end of the program i could shop around or use as a jumping off point.
