My yarn bowl is done! The color of the raw surface is not as pretty after glaze firing, which I expected, tough I still hoped it would stay a bit peachier. The green glaze on the other hand turned out darker than expected, but a really pretty mossy shade so I'm not at all complaining. Overall really happy!

i frogged the thing i was knitting before because i wanted to work with smaller needles + smaller yarn. these are size ones(us? i thrifted them so idk) and i like them a lot! i am about 2500 stitches into this washcloth. there are mistakes but they kinda make me like it more! my first ever knitted thing.

that said: the center is supposed to be moss stitched. i choose to describe my moss stitch as organic because of how badly i messed the pattern up haha. it did help me understand how cables might work though!

Made myself a yarn bowl!

Colors on the body didn't quite turn out how I wanted, but overall very pleased. One antenna broke off before its last kiln journey, but will be glued back on.

I'm so excited about how this yarn bowl is turning out! I'm going to try an inlay effect with the glazing on the incised designs, but I haven't specifically decided on the colours yet. I haven't gotten to mess about with the glazes in the studio so far, so they're all unfamiliar to me still.

This bowl, along with most of the rest of the pottery I've been working on, will be for sale in my shop once it's done.

Yarn bowl I made at the ceramics class I'm taking. Here's hoping it survives firing. If it does I'm going to glaze the inside, and the opening where the yarn will run, but leave the outside unglazed.
