As they took him from the cross I, the centurion, took him in my arms- the tough lean body of a man no longer young, beardless, breathless, but well hung.
He was still warm. While they prepared the tomb I kept guard over him. His mother and the Magdalen had gone to fetch clean linen to shroud his nakedness.
I was alone with him. For the last time I kissed his mouth. My tongue found his, bitter with death. I licked his wound- the blood was harsh For the last time I laid my lips around the tip of that great cock, the instrument of our salvation, our eternal joy. The shaft, still throbbed, anointed with death's final ejaculation
I knew he'd had it off with other men- with Herod's guards, with Pontius Pilate, With John the Baptist, with Paul of Tarsus with foxy Judas, a great kisser, with the rest of the Twelve, together and apart. He loved all men, body, soul and spirit. - even me.
So now I took off my uniform, and, naked, lay together with him in his desolation, caressing every shadow of his cooling flesh, hugging him and trying to warm him back to life. Slowly the fire in his thighs went out, while I grew hotter with unearthly love.
It was the only way I knew to speak our love's proud name, to tell him of my long devotion, my desire, my dread- something we had never talked about. My spear, wet with blood, his dear, broken body all open wounds, and in each wound his side, his back, his mouth - I came and came and came
as if each coming was my last. And then the miracle possessed us. I felt him enter into me, and fiercely spend his spirit's finbal seed within my hole, my soul, pulse upon pulse, unto the ends of the earth- he crucified me with him into kingdom come.
-This is the passionate and blissful crucifixion same-sex lovers suffer, patiently and gladly. They inflict these loving injuries of joy and grace one upon the other, till they dies of lust and pain within the horny paradise of one another's limbs, with one voice cry to heaven in a last divine release.
Then lie long together, peacefully entwined, with hope of resurrection, as we did, on that green hill far away. But before we rose again, they came and took him from me. They knew not what we had done, but felt no shame or anger. Rather they were glad for us, and blessed us, as would he, who loved all men.
And after three long, lonely days, like years, in which I roamed the gardens of my grief seeking for him, my one friend who had gone from me, he rose from sleep, at dawn, and showed himself to me before all others. And took me to him with the love that now forever dares to speak its name.
I googled the first few lines of this and it's a poem called The Love that Dares to Speak its Name by James Kirkup and it was the subject of a Blasphemy case in the UK in 1977.
I'm not sure why you decided to send me this poem, anon, it's a cool poem and I'm glad to know about it but it would have helped if you'd given me the context to begin with.

Swedish troops testing the French AMX-13 on the training ground in Skövde, 1952.
A popular choice for the 1950s, the French AMX-13 was a relatively light and cheap option for a modern tank. It featured a high velocity 75mm gun with an autoloading system, weighed only 14 tons, and was protected all-around against small arms fire. After expressing interest in 1952, an AMX-13 arrived secretly in Sweden in April of that year. It would undergo testing in a variety of environments, including in Jämtland during winter. Despite promising results, the deal abruptly ended, and in April 1953, Supreme Commander Nils Swedlund announced that Sweden was no longer pursuing the AMX-13 for the Swedish Army. Instead, Sweden would later turn to the UK for its Centurion main battle tank, and would also design a development of the Strv m/42, the Strv 74.

Transformers: Mosaic #272 - "Closure"

wada sez: Perhaps the most striking dropped plot thread from Simon Furman’s Marvel UK work was that of Professor Morris, who took over Swoop’s body in “The Icarus Theory” and later became the pilot of the government super-robot Centurion in “In the National Interest”, during which he locked himself inside a bunker. He briefly showed up again piloting Centurion in “Fallen Angel”, but after that was never mentioned again! Hence, this strip provides some, ah, closure.

yeah we study pro cluentio so. i can recite parts of it from memory because doing it dramatically helps get the sentence bits in order but DAMN.
idk what country you are in but in the uk at least you study for exams by translating the set text And Then Memorising The Entire Translation so you can speedrun the translation questions and have more time on the essays so. yeah mood + it has been Several Years but uh. the first crime of the new principate was the slaughter of agrippa postumus, unaware and unarmed, whom a centurion although firm in his resolution finished off only with difficulty. tiberius discussed nothing about this matter with the senate and pretended it was his father's orders etc etc

The publishing of this poem in 1976 led to Whitehouse v. Lemon, the last successful blasphemy trial in the UK. Blasphemous libel is no longer a common law offence in England and Wales with the passing of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008; however, it is still illegal to publish this poem in Great Britain.

According to a recent report from Goldman Sachs, the balance of global economic power is projected to shift dramatically in the coming decades.
In the graphic above, we’ve created a bump chart that provides a historical and predictive overview of the world’s top 15 economies at several milestones: 1980, 2000, 2022, and Goldman Sachs projections for 2050 and 2075.
Projections and Highlights for 2050 The following table shows the projected top economies in the world for 2050. All figures represent accurate GDP projections based on 2021 USD.
Rank Country Real GDP in 2050 (USD trillions) 1 🇨🇳 China $41.9 2 🇺🇸 US $37.2 3 🇮🇳 India $22.2 4 🇮🇩 Indonesia $6.3 5 🇩🇪 Germany $6.2 6 🇯🇵 Japan $6.0 7 🇬🇧 UK $5.2 8 🇧🇷 Brazil $4.9 9 🇫🇷 France $4.6 10 🇷🇺 Russia $4.5 11 🇲🇽 Mexico $4.2 12 🇪🇬 Egypt $3.5 13 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia $3.5 14 🇨🇦 Canada $3.4 15 🇳🇬 Nigeria $3.4 A central theme of the past several decades has been China and India’s incredible growth. For instance, between 2000 and 2022, India jumped eight spots to become the fifth-largest economy, surpassing the UK and France.
By 2050, Goldman Sachs believes that the weight of global GDP will shift even more towards Asia. While this is partly due to Asia outperforming previous forecasts, it is also due to BRICS nations underperforming.
Notably, Indonesia will become the fourth-largest economy by 2050, surpassing Brazil and Russia as the largest emerging market. Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelagic state and currently has the fourth-largest population, at 277 million.
The Top Economies in the World in 2075 The following table includes the underlying numbers for 2075. Once again, figures represent accurate GDP projections based on 2021 USD.
Rank Country Real GDP in 2075 (USD trillions) 1 🇨🇳 China $57.0 +39 Investment South Asia 41% 2 🇮🇳 India $52.5 +49 Asia 32% 3 🇺🇸 US $51.5 +25 N. America 14% 4 🇮🇩 Indonesia $13.7 +12 EU 8% 5 🇳🇬 Nigeria $13. +13 Africa 7% 6 🇵🇰 Pakistan $12.3 +12 S. America 6% 7 🇪🇬 Egypt $10.4 +10 8 🇧🇷 Brazil $8.7 +7 9 🇩🇪 Germany $8.1 +4 10 🇬🇧 UK $7.6 +5 11 🇲🇽 Mexico $7.6 +5 12 🇯🇵 Japan $7.5 +3 13 🇷🇺 Russia $6.9 +5 14 🇵🇭 Philippines$6.6 +7 15 🇫🇷 France $6.5 +3
