Bringing in Love

This is a love spell 😳 to aid the people in your life looking for love. It’s very fire centric and yet still pretty cool if I don’t say so myself.

Disclaimer: Love spell morality discourse is unnecessary under this post, use the spell or don’t. I hope you find it interesting regardless!

Also: this spell is not meant to force love, it’s meant to help the chances of finding love for someone. I don’t use this spell with a couple in mind, just a single person.

Disclaimer 2: This spell is modified from the book ‘Crone’s Book of Magical Words’ by Valerie Worth. This spell book is amazing and super interesting, I highly recommend picking it up for spells and inspiration. I used some of the lines of poetry and the candle formation (with different colours and some extra pizzazz)

Final disclaimer: this spell is a little Dionysus centred but it can easily be modified to appeal to a different Deity/spirit/etc that you wish to invoke for assistance.

This spell is also a work in progress/experiment!

Phew, let’s finally get to this spell

Ingredients and Materials:

13 candles: I used 1 black for protection, 3 red for passion, 2 pink for romance and self love and the rest were white. 12 candles are used in the spell, but an extra one is used to light all the others

Deity candle if it applies

An oil: I used a blend of Venus oil, rose, lavender, chamomile and cinnamon. Any herb with a love correspond will do! Mix them into any carrier oil and let it sit for a few days

A bay leaf

Some wine (or grape juice)

Herbs with love correspondence

Crystals such as rose quartz, I also used a phallus and woman figure (this can be modified for any gender combo, or vetoed all together. It’s good imagery)

Lovers tarot card

Incense

A jar (optional)

The Spell:

I carve my intention into each candle, red for passion, pink romance, I’ll write the name of the person, put sigils and symbols on them. Just carve in the whatever feels right.

Rub your oil onto your candles, focus on that intention

Use your incense to cleanse in the space, I used a romance blend

Take your twelve candles and place them into a triangle. The pattern I did will be shown in the picture at the bottom of the post

Start your ritual the way you like it! Call on any spirits/deities if you wish. I called on my patron Dionysus

Pour two glasses of wine/juice. Wine is associated with romance. You can drink with with your deity when the toast comes into play or you can offer the glass to the person who you’re doing the spell for (even if they aren’t there, just treat it like an offering)

Write your petition on the bay leaf, ‘Name will find great love’ or something to that affect, place it in the middle of the triangle along with your crystals, and sprinkle a herb blend around if you wish, I used the leftovers from the oils

Light up a candle and begin lighting your candles from the tip of the triangle to bottom. begin by asking the top black and doing a little protection spell for the person and you.

As you light the candles say this (modify it to your liking or course):

“Fire Spirit of sun,

Wax thou melting flesh of earth,

Prove this work that I have done,

Bring NAME great love, full in mirth.

Let he be himself consumed,

Not by darkness, but by light,

Warmth not cold, until I toast,

As the final flame rests in the night,

And the spell comes to a coast

Sit with your intentions, really focus on the person and the kind of love you wish for them to receive

So you can either chill with the candles until you have one left burning OR you can do this spell over the course of many days. If you choose to do it over several rituals repeat every step until the candles are out (including the toasting and closing stuff)

Toast with your deity, I recite a prayer to Dionysus at this point. Drink your beverage.

Burn your petition

Collect the wicks and put them in a jar, I also add some wine, oil, herbs and stuff. If you do this over many days cut the wicks down each ritual and put them in. Add the ashes and remains of the petition

Seal your jar, engrave it if you please (if your doing this over many days wait until the candles are fully burned down to do this)

Give the jar to the person, put it in their house or keep it on your altar. And if you keep it on your altar I recommend sitting with it every so often to put in some intention

Money Bowl

For all your prosperity needs!

What is a money bowl?

A money bowl is a long term spell that promotes prosperity and success. It’s important to take things out and put new things in to keep up the flow, a stagnant bowl won’t give you the results you want.

First off let’s get into some prosperity associations:

Jupiter - rules prosperity, abundance, and success.

Thursdays! So you may be curious about the first bullet, how do you incorporate Jupiter into your spells. Well Jupiter rules Thursdays making it the perfect time for a prosperity working (other days work as well, and will give different benefits, I highly recommend looking into the days and the week and their associations)

Pentacle cards, the wheel of fortune, and aces

I prefer new or full moons for prosperity workings

Herbs and spices: cinnamon, coffee beans (helps with speed), thyme, mint, shells, rice, cloves, chamomile (I like to use it with the intention of acquiring the money in a peaceful way as well as its prosperity properties), mica powder and many more

Crystals: green aventurine, pyrite, citrine and tigers eye

Gold, silver and green - as well as any colour that represents money to you

What you’ll need

A cleansed bowl

A piece of paper

Writing utensil

Some string

Herbs for prosperity

Crystals for prosperity

Loose change

Gold things, or things you associate wealth with such as glitter or a trinket. I used a fancy gold button for example

A candle (optional)

An oil to dress the candle (also optional)

ALL THE INTENTION

Steps:

This spell requires a petition, which is basically your intentions and what you want from the spell written down on a paper. Think about what you want to do with your money before hand. Are you wanting to save up for something, travel or have a more successful career? How do you want this money? How will this money, and the thing you get with it make you feel? Keep all this in mind as you go through your working

Cleanse your space and materials and cast that circle. Call on your spirits to give you a hand if you wish! I drew a money sigil and a dollar sign on my altar and set the bowl on top of it for my working

Add your ingredients into that bowl, hold them close, sit with them and envision your energy and the ingredients energy mixing in together and put them in the bowl as you tell it what you want it to do for you

Put in your loose change

Write your petition. You can have as many as you please, you can write them three times, sign each one or whatever feels right to you. I write an intention three times, turn the paper to the right, write the next one three times and repeat. I then sign it and put the sigil on the paper. Write your goals like you already have them, “I can afford to live comfortably.” And be specific!

Light your candle.

Fold the paper towards you, turn it to the right and fold again, repeat until it’s small

Wrap the string around it and seal the bundle

Put the bundle in the bowl, and let the candle sit in it (use a holder) sit with your intentions as it burns

Close your working, thank the spirits and break the circle

Work it ;)

Working a Money Bowl:

This spell is all about the flow, take things out and add more things. I do this once a week usually on a Thursday. Doesn’t have to be a crazy offering each week either, throw a cinnamon stick in it, a quarter or light a dedicated candle for it.

I recommend using some ingredients that can be easily removed to keep that flow. Whether you take out, or put in something new is up to you. Do what feels right, keep a balance.

Hope this spell brings all that you wish for! Just remember it’s a slower working (you can use things to speed it up) many people work their bowls for several months to several years! Don’t be disheartened!

Enchanting a Pendant

Protection edition

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good crystal necklace but you don’t get much say in what intentions it manifests and the energy it releases. Enchanting a pendant can open a whole new realm of possibilities using herbs, stones and candles to bring in all the energies that you wish to carry with you in a single necklace.

For this beautiful cicada pendant I wanted it to bring me protection, luck and power.

What you’ll need

A black candle - I used two

Protection herbs and incense: I used a bay leaf, black salt, dragons blood and lavender

For power I used snake skin and for good luck I used cinnamon - these intentions were secondary so I only used a single herb for each

Protective crystals: I used black tourmaline and clear quartz

Steps:

Cleanse your space in your preferred method

Get in the right headspace: you can do this by meditating on your intentions

Set up your alter with the surrounding the pendant with crystals and your black candle. Light them up

Call on any spirit guides to aid you, and begin focusing on your intention

Touch the pendant, ask it for aid and begin envisioning your energy seep into it as you focus

Sprinkle each herb onto your pendant - setting your intention with each one. Tell your pendant what the herb will do

Do the same thing with your crystals, touch them and then your pendant. Infusing those vibes

Talk to your pendant - reiterate what you want, thank it, etc

Let it sit on your alter. Allow the herbs and crystals to stay with it until your candle finishes burning

Protection is so important! And having a pendant that you personally enchant is so powerful! Why not give your favourite necklace a little magic?

Bonus extra step:

Every morning before I put any necklace on I always give the pendant a little kiss and ask it for aid in my day. It just feels right haha

Anti-anxiety Oil

I’ve struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember, this oil aids in quelling fear, and bringing peace and confidence.

**this is not a substitute for medication, therapy, etc, it is an aid. If you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety please seek professional help**

Tools

A jar

Your preferred oil: I used jojoba

Candles: Red for strength and confidence, blue for tranquility and peace

Protection: I used black salt

Herbs for peace/strength/anti anxiety: Rosemary, lavender, Chamomile

Essential oil: myrrh

Steps

Call your mind, find your peace

Write a little chant to recite as you make your oil

Cleanse your space with your preferred method, be sure to banish all negative energy

Put up your protection, I spread black salt around my jar

Call upon any spirits that wish to assist you

Fill your jar with oil, tell it be your vessel to hold you Intention

Put each herb in slowly, as you begin to recite your chant. Fill your words with intention and meaning

Put of few drops of your preferred oil in

Swirl the jar and recite your chant again

Put a drop of each candle on the cork but do not seal it

Allow the jar to sit with the candles as they burn away

Use as needed for spells, or put directly on your skin on anxious days

Prosperity Tin

Another prosperity spell?

YES

I cannot COUNT how many times I’ve made a spell jar, put it in my purse or pocket to bring with me only for it to absolutely shatter due to my clumsy actions. Not only are tins much safer and durable they also come with snacks - THE POTENTIAL AND THE DUALITY OF TINS!!!

anyways, there’s certain spells that I like to have on me, one important one is a prosperity spell that I carry with me while I go to work. The main aim of this spell is to bring prosperity, opportunity, success, security and to be able to make money and be comfortable and happy while doing it. It’s super simple, VERY customizable and can be made as discreet as you’d like.

What you’ll need

A tin - go to the loonie store and buy yourself a tin of mints!

Candles - I used 2 greens for prosperity and a black one for protection

Crystals: I used black tourmaline for protection, tigers eye for prosperity, amethyst for happiness, carnelian for confidence and malachite for change

Herbs: I used cloves, ginseng, pine needles, basil and chamomile for prosperity and used lavender for peace and a bay leaf to write my intentions on

I used my removing obstacles spray and Jupiter oil

I did it on a Thursday as well as it’s ruled by Jupiter and great for prosperity and abundance

I also put some hair in there to bind it to me and strengthen the spell

Black string for binding and protection

Steps

Take some prep time, set up your space and try and write a mantra for your spell. I like to use poetry, It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece write from your heart.

Cleanse your space and your tin (also wash it, ideally with moon water)

Get into a semi meditative headspace call on any spirits that wish to aid you

Draw sigil a into the tin with your oils, and spray in any sprays you wish to add

Add in each herb, make sure to take your time and really connect with your intention with each herb

Add in your cleansed and charged crystals - I like to put them in fabric bags to avoid damage

Add in anything else such as hair, loose change, trinkets, etc

Sit with your tin and repeat your mantra, feel the energy and let it flow into your tin. I like to repeat it three times or until it feels right.

Close up your tin and wrap your string around it, keep protection and binding on your mind as you do it and seal it with wax

Thank any entities/ spirits that worked with you and get that bag!!

I like to wrap it in fabric or put it in a fabric bag before putting it in my pocket or purse and I also like to say my mantra before bringing it with me.
